Question of BEFW11S4v4 access...

Hello

I have a problem with an old wireless router has my cousin. He had access to her problems and tried to update its firmware and indeed downgraded by accident ver.3 or lower firmware. It works as a router (not wireless), but now it will not let you access its settings by typing 192.168.1.1 it gives you only an Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage. Help, please. I need for a project I'm doing.

I think that the problem occurs because the wrong version of the firmware, while improving your router... Choose the correct version while improving your router as it can damage the router.

Press and hold the button of reset for 60 seconds... Release the reset button... Unplug the power cable from your router, wait 30 seconds and reconnect the power cable...

Now, check the IP address... Click on start > all programs > Accessories > guest... A black box will appear (command prompt)... In the command prompt window type ipconfig and press "Enter"... Look for Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection address IP, subnet mask, and default gateway...

IP address must be 192.168.1.x, subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 default gateway: 192.168.1.1 (assuming that your router is 192.168.1.1)...

If you get mentioned above IP address, a subnet and address the gateway then you ping the gateway, type ping 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER... If she gives you ask has expired, and then disable any firewall, the security software on the computer...

If you get 4 replies then you can open the router setup page and you can re - configure once more.

  • Various Questions about wireless access controller

Help me please with these fundamental questions about the role of the access (AC) wireless controller.

Assume that the access controller and Access Point are connected via IP:

-Wireless frames sent to AP to acre; include the original MAC header (on the way to wireless access)?  If Yes, is there a Cisco AC gets to fill the WLAN and LAN it is plugged (which means that it outputs as ethernet frames as if they were issued by Mobile Stations).

-Is the AC necessarily the default gateway for mobile stations? I guess not. But it is possible the default gateway?

The Cisco AC can function as a DHCP relay?

The AP creates a tunnel to the controller. All IP traffic from the AP to the controller will address the AP source and dest IP to the interface of the Manager of the AP on the controller. The wireless client traffic is encapsulated inside this tunnel. When it hits the controller the CAPWAP is removed leaving the customer's original package to be sent to the local network through the controller.

The controller should not be the default gateway for wireless clients because it is not a router. Think of it as a device that converted into wired wireless traffic.

Normally, the controller acts as a proxy DHCP. Once the customer has joined a WLAN, the controller sends the DHCP packets to the DHCP server on behalf of clients such as the IP address of assistance normally configured on the router for cable customers. You can also configure the controller to act as a DHCP server for wireless clients.

  • Newbie question route-map/access-list

I am quite new to the thing whole cisco here.  I'm very hesitant to make changes as I am not sure that I take down the entire network of 200%. (We are a very small company)

We have a router cisco 1811 (yes I know its old)

We now have a road map and I'm trying to understand it to make it work the way we want.  Basically, we have a few servers and we do not want some servers to use our cable internet connection, we want to use our T1.  Our T1 uses an ASA5505 as a router.  I don't know why, I know its not the best practice but I was just hired and that's all I have to say on this subject.  I am doing as a result.  Web traffic currently out our interface cable, everything, including the speed of transfer on speedtest.net out our T1.  This makes the bad, bad VoIP phone calls. We also have a tunnel punch in Q1 of our other offices as well as our server Exchange2010 using T1.   If our cable goes down, everything for the T1 (by design).  We have a long list of defined access our route map - use corresponding ip.  I want to change the access list to not allow local network IP addresses.  I know that if I put in a whole ip allow it break our network and nothing comes out of the T1 line, and no one can get to our mail server more.  So, I was thinking of adding some statements, but I was wondering if someone could help me with logic, so I know not if I will break the network.  I wouldn't pull the laminated cord and use the console.  (I really need get a USB serial interface).  Now, you understand a little more about my situation now for all numbers, etc.

Network internal 90.0.0.0/24, 192.168.0.0/24 192.168.30.0/24, 172.20.0.0/16 (we use only 40 addresses, why they chose 16 is beyond me, stupid really)

PTP VPN: 192.168.116.0/24 comes and goes out our T1.

I have not read this thread well enough to be able to talk to the intricacies of the issue whether this access will make what you want. But I can answer the specific question you are asking. Yes - the access list is top-down, transformed and if a few more top line in the access list matches, then treatment for this package will not get the license at the bottom of the access list.

  • Question about web access install

    Hi all

Can you please help me answer this question.

setting up web access on VC is optional or not? as far as I can see, Web access is automatically installed with VC. all you need to do is specify ports, but after reading this text on web access pdf Pub, now I confused.

VI Web Access is installed when ESX Server is installed. On the VirtualCenter server, you

can install VI Web Access from the VirtualCenter Server Windows installation package

I tried my self installation of VC but I have not any Web Access option select/deselct option

Please clarify this point for me

    Hi all

Question of Ajay on access Web is a good thing, let me clarify.

Components access Web are automatically installed with ESX Server and vCenter Server.  At some point in the history of the product, there is an option during the installation of VirtualCenter, where you can choose to install Web access or not.  This is no longer the case at 2.5 or 4.  Web access is also enabled by default previously.  In my last use of the product, I find that the service on vCenter Server is already started, which means that Web Access is running by default.  For ESX Server, the access to the Web server is not running, but can be easily launched.  It's for vSphere 4, so fellow users, you can add what is the default status VI3 if you run this version of the product, so we have that here as well.

  • The question of the Access Point wireless router

I am considered to be an amateur when there are routers so patient with me. I have a wireless router in my office and two workstations are hardlined (ethernet cable-joint) to the router. Then, in the living room, I have 3 devices (Xbox, BlueRay, directTV) I want on the network. Rather than running three office ethernet cables, I expect to have some sort of (reverse hotspot) where a device could hop on the wireless router and the signal I inflexible at these three devices. Not sure if this would require an Access Point or another wireless router?

I would like to give different levels of access to the anyconnect vpn. I've been messing around with dynamic access policies. • Strange question of LAN access

    Hi all

I work in a box of 8.3 (1) VPN config is no longer functional, but I don't remember what I could have done.

Of course I destroyed some sort of ACL or similar.

After 2 days of trying to spot the error, I came here to post, perhaps s/o can be seen.

    Scenario:

[ANYCONN/IPSEC]... [WAN]... [OUTSIDE]... ASA..... [INTERIOR]... [DMZ 172.16.0.0/16]... [RTR]... [LAN 192.168.20.0/24]

The Client connects fine (Anyconn 2.4 or ipSEC).

The protected/s network appear nicely in the client (split in place tunnel)

    Problem:

There is no host (in any protected nets) to pings / accessible (authorized ICMP) of the VPN Client.

    BUT:

    Packet-trace entry within 192.168.20.210 tcp 3389 172.16.1.30 3389

    Result:

    input interface: inside

    entry status: to the top

    entry-line-status: to the top

    output interface: outside

the status of the output: to the top

    output-line-status: to the top

    Action: allow

When I ping the VPN client's net le.20, ICMP trace displays the queries coming (but none returns).

    Outside ICMP echo request: 172.16.1.30 inside: 192.168.20.210 ID = 1280 seq = 768 len = 32

The relevant parts of the config of group are:

    attributes global-tunnel-group DefaultWEBVPNGroup

address pool (outside) Dialinpool (pool of local ip mask of 172.16.1.30 - 172.16.1.40 Dialinpool 255.255.0.0)

    tunnel-group DefaultWEBVPNGroup webvpn-attributes

    Disable group-alias 2

    IPSec-attributes tunnel-group DefaultWEBVPNGroup

    pre-shared key *.

    Tunnel of config:

    Split-tunnel-policy tunnelspecified

    value of Split-tunnel-network-list VPN_Inside

    (Note to VPN_Inside access-list "userland", VPN_Inside-list of allowed access standard 192.168.20.0 255.255.255.0 etc..)  )

The hote.210 above does NOT NAT, so there is no NAT exemption in place.

    / 16 cover this range also host would be - 172.16.0.1 - 172.16.255.254.

    Hello

I checked the documentation, it seems to be straight forward, but I can't get it to work.

That doesn't really meet Nigel question (you do this in the Flex client? You can't unless you are the owner of the developer account).

In addition, it is faster for you to call createRoom and capture/ignore the error instead of check if the room is first (it's always 1 server call vs potentially two calls to the server if the room does not exist)

  • Remote access for PXI with DAQmx

I have a PXI chassis with a real-time embedded (PXI-8186) controller and some modules DAQ (PXI-6259) x 2. I've been programming this via LabWindows with a kind of client-server of RT - UI thing by using network variables and others. For some applications, it would be enough and more convenient to be able to interact with the PXI hardware directly from a connected PC network DAQ.

The controller running a VISA server, it seems that I could connect to a remote machine with a kind of viOpen ("visa://pxi.somewhere.com//PXI0::15:INSTR"); ") and then contact a particular data acquisition card. But I can't find any information on the programming of the 6259 in any way other than DAQmx or similar.

First question then: is the interface PXI - 6259 VISA described anywhere?

More practical would be to continue to use DAQmx, through something like DAQmxCreateDOChan (taskHandle,"pxi.somewhere.com//Dev1/port0/line0:4",...)

I found references to what we call 'Remote access appliance', for example:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/5CC9792C6CD4A34C862565BC0072D5DF

that seems to put in place something equivalent, but I don't find it to watch it in MAX:

Start-> all programs-> National Instruments-> NI - DAQ-> the remote device access server

and I've seen suggestions that maybe it isn't that for traditional DAQ or only pre 7.0, or in any other way was no longer applicable.

Second question: "Remote device access" are always and how to I install/activate it on my PXI controller?

Someone at - it clues as to the foregoing, or any other way to get the same kind of features?

    Thank you

    LANL

    Hello Mike,.

Remote device access was a feature in NOR-DAQ traditional long just now.  This feature was not worn on OR-DAQmx because the framework it was built on does not really correspond with the need of modern times for network security.

Unfortunately, there is no functionality you describe by saying to DAQmx.  Currently, this type of control is limited to deploying applications to the target of RT.  While the VISA is used for some parts of the DAQmx interaction, these function calls are not documented.  Someone else on the forums may be able to help if they tried to implement something like this in the past.

    Good luck!

  • LRT224 and WAP801N of TP - Link point of access - low download speed

I just installed a LRT224 for the use of two ISP connections, one is a modem connection cable with 75 Mbit/s and the other a connection ADSL 4 Mbit/s in download. It is reserved for the failover.

For the WLAN access point, I use a WA801N of TP-link v2 with the latest firmware.

When I connect this access point WA801N directly to the cable modem, I get about 75 Mbps of download speed.

What is the case, when I use a LAN cable to connect to the LRT224, which includes 75 Mbps.

But when I connect the WA801n to one of the LRT224 LAN ports, the download speed drops to about 10 Mbps.

The LRT224 is configured to function as a DHCP server for my LAN, all devices get their IP by DHCP to the 192.168.2.x row address. The main WAN connection is configured to use addresses 192.168.0.x, the other WAN connection to use 192.168.1.x.

Everyone knows about similar problems using a WIFI (b/g/n) access point?

    Thanks for any help.

Okay, I think that the question is the access point.
