  There are some malicious programs that can survive even a format and a facility so if your restoration or
  Recovery has been infected certainly the malware might still be in the game. Did you use a Restore Point

  necessary.

• EliteOne 800: Generic Question to the restoration of the system

  There are several tools installed on a new PC when I get it out of the box. I.e. the Manager of recovery or other pre-installed tools.

  My understanding is as follows:

  If I have at any point in time, I replace the hard drive with the NEW disk hard empty (no partitions), I should be able to re - install all the software, including the pre-installed tools and special partitions with the supplied DVD supplied with the system.

  Is this correct?

  What I see, is that if I re - install a system in this way (AND Driver install OS installation DVD), it seems that in the end, some tools are missing. How comes?

  I received 3 systems 800 EliteOne, oll of them with bluescreen and boot with button loop.

  I completely re-installed all systems with the DVD provided by HP.  Macrium does not help in this situation.

  Although the BIOS settings are absolutely identical, and all drives have been wiped and formatted before you reinstall, I'm done with a single system properly program facility and two systems with lack of recovery partitions. On a system, I was not able to activate the SSD as cache, installed all the latest drivers.

  Sheet music: Lenovo_Recovery and SYSTEM_DRV (could be something appeared after) are still there.

  RnR downloaded, shows - error 6.

  None of the restore or backup discs.

  The question here is - can I still use this partition for something and somehow restore from there?

  IIRC, there was a WIM environment that was on SYSTEM_DRV which was the rescue of the recovery and the recovery environment. You may need to add an entry to BCD for this... somehow. No idea how to do it with Windows 8.

  Because my HRCS90 database has been damaged, I need to restore the database to HRCS90 until the time 02-Dec_13 when it is saved. I have run the commands below:

  RMAN > RUN {SET until TIME ' to_date (February 12, 2013: 00:04:56 ',' DD-MM-YYYY: HH24:MI:SS') ";} RESTORE THE DATABASE ;}

  Large buttons, tabs under the location bar - just above the page content 'window', but the reload and Stop / Go button cannot be moved, however. It uses a combined stop / Go button which could take a volume of little getting used to.

  IMO, much simpler than the Restorer of classic theme and no need to tinker with a large number of settings to make it look 'right', but it has a very limited ability to be changed or reconfigured.

• A few questions after the downgrade of Win 7 on Satellite U940 - 11L

  friend of mine bought the Toshiba Satellite U940 - 11L which had Windows 8 on it, due to some reasons that she wanted to have Windows 7 installed on it, which was pretty easy.

  Trouble came with the installation of the Symantec touchpad, after installing the drivers, it worked for about 10-15 minutes but then it stopped working.

  Tried to uninstall and install again but no luck, found a few discussions where it was suggested to remove all the devices, remove the battery and the power cord.

  Press the power button for 15 seconds and then power back on but still not lucky (I wasn't in the restoration of the default settings of the Bios I did not any change it outside disabling secure boot and replacing UEFI CSM that was needed to run win 7 on it).

  Tried about 4 different sources when it comes to the drivers but still does not work. I checked the Device Manager Dev but see no conflict, and it shows that the unit works fine but the problem persists. Please note that the drivers were specific to windows 7.

  Please if you have any suggestions we would greatly appriciate it.

  On another note, I'm not able to install the bluetooth it (HW ID shows as ACPI\TOS6205), I tried to install it several times but no luck because it always shows as unknown device in the dev Manager. The driver that I use is Bluetooth Filter Driver Package as info.

  Also, the computer is slower than it was with Windows 8, I suspect the reason for this is the fact that the installation of win 7 I accidentally erased part of the hybrid drive SSD (the size was 11.2 GB if I remember correctly, yes silly me...). I wasn't looking for a while on the net to see if there is a way to fix it but no luck so far.

  With regard to the question of the touchpad.
  To my knowledge, the touchpad should work even if the Synaptics touchpad driver has not been installed. Windows system contains own driver that control the touchpad and provide standard settings. Of course after installing the Synapatics driver, you should get a few more options and features more touchpad.

  With regard to the problem of BT.
  The laptop supports WLan Intel (Intel Wireless-N 2230) card that supports BT connectivity. Bt driver filter pack is ONLY necessary if you laptop would use an Atheros WLan card or Realtek WLan card. For the Intel WLan modules such package of filter is NOT necessary. To get BT to work, you must install the battery Toshiba BT!

  I m not 100% sure how recovery works on the Australian laptops computers Toshiba, but I presume that the restore CD contains the image of Toshiba with the operating system Windows, drivers, tools and utilities.

  In General, Toshiba Recovery disk will wipe your entire HDD to restore factory settings correctly. This means that if you start from that disk and follow the instructions on the screen, everything will be removed.
