Question on recovery disc HARD on NB200 - 10 p

Hey guys, I need your help.

I installed Windows 7 on my NB200 - 10 p, but it has messed up the recovery. After having tried like 100 times to run the recovery and return to XP, nothing worked and I wiped the partition tables of HARD drive with the idea of installing XP Professional which I own, but loading the installation program displays only the USB and it does not recognize the HARD drive. I had done a backup to a folder named a? Hddrecoverya? that contains the wim for default windows files (checked with 7-ZIP and they contain all the default drive C :).) I copied on a USB key and he ran, but the recovery is stuck on "waiting for odd vacancies...." ».

So my question is how to make a USB bootable from the files I have on my HARD drive and run the recovery? Can someone also make a screenshot of the default C:, D: partition table and the recovery partition so I can recreate it?

This utility will make a bootable USB key and install a copy of XP on the thumb drive. Let us know if it worked.

As an alternative, you can download a Microsoft utility that will do the samething for Windows 7 (but not XP). I had more success to get Windows 7 to install from a USB I have with trying to get XP to install from a USB key. Although Windows 7 is not quite able to do all the things that XP can do, it's the wave of the future. XP won't ultimately be supported by Microsoft, and so we can get with the program and start using Windows 7.

Moreover, Toshiba has released a utility that works something like the fact of Microsoft Update, but the Toshiba updates for netbooks using Widnows 7 (again not for XP, Windows 7 only). It will you check netbook, and then download and install all the updates it has for your particular netbook.

Let us know what you did and how it worked.

  • Problem recovery disc HARD on the Satellite C660

My apologies if this is the wrong sub-forum:

The fool that I am, I changed my WIndows login and password since I use very long passwords, I don't know what I changed it to. Guessing is out of the question.

So I turned on my computer laptop while holding the key 0, what brought me to the Windows Boot Manager screen. I pressed F8 on Windows 7 for advanced options and opted for "Recovery Mode", as I've used in the past to install the operating system from scratch.

It asks me to select a keyboard layout, and then enter my user name and password to proceed to the recovery of HARD drive. It is this lack of password which is the reason for the recovery.

Any advice on what I can do?

    Thank you

    > It asks me to select a keyboard layout and then enter my user name and password to proceed to the recovery of HARD drive. It is this lack of password which is the reason for the recovery.
On this step, you must enter your login name and login password of Windows. Without correct password, you will not be able to start the installation of HARD drive recovery.

There is option to install the recovery image. You can do so now using recovery DVDs. You have created using the preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator?

  • Satellite L350 - Question about recovery disc creation

    Help, please.

I read in the manual for my new lap top before setting up and feel rather nervous.

The seller said that he had to open automatically when I start it, and all I had to do to install the printer and my word m/s (for example) program and I would be in place and running.

But it seems that I should first do some recovery disks.
How many disks is necessary? DVD no doubt - or D/L.?
The recovery discs are possible after other programs installed?

Secondly, he mentioned the manual online. Where can I find it?
I have a scanner and a Seagate external hard drive, but these can be added later.
I use the laptop as a desktop replacement for my old Mesh PC of five years.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello

Yes, it is very important to create the recovery disk before you change anything on your HARD drive laptops.
When you have completed the installation of Vista, you must start the application called recovery Toshiba disc Creator.
This application will help you create the recovery disk.

As I m not wrong not you would need a DVD. I recommend using a DVD-R.

Notes; in some cases, you might get an error burning the recovery DVDs. This may happen because not all drives are fully compatible. So if you get this error please check different DVD from different manufacturers

    Good bye

  • Satellite L750 - if I use the recovery disc HARD Will this work?

    Guy Alrights

I have a L750 machine that gives me problems at the moment, so I'm going back to Strath, as when I brought brand new... So I wonder if I use HARD drive recovery which will be re install windows and all the drivers and all the pre install software? Or what will be installed?

    Hello

HARD drive recovery would fix the laptop back to factory settings.
Recovery of HARD drive installs the image of Toshiba. Toshiba is a package that contains the system Windows, drivers and tools and utilities.

But I read the other thread you created here, and it seems you did a clean installation
In this case the HARD disk recovery would not work more :(

  • Could not start recovery disc HARD on Equium A100-027

    Hello

function of disk management on my Vista Home premium OS my recovery partition is healthy and always there. The problem is that I can't do a restore from the HARD drive?

I hit the F8 key at startup and then fix it. I then select keyboard and enter my administrator/user password.
Next, I get the Startup Repair, the etc system restore list. The option I want is the restoration of the full windows OS. When I click on this option, it opens another saying the full windows... operating system restore window then under that he said if pre-installed files are damaged, you can use the DVD-ROM product recovery to restore.

Under which he says when you reinstall windows all data lost etc... When I hit OK it just goes back to the previous menu? I put t have a DVD only what lies on the recovery partition. Also I have no software to create CDs on the recovery system?

Is - it there anyway I can make the recovery partition works? Thanks for any help...

What recovery partition? Please don t mix image partition and WinRE recovery for any new OS install. This is not the same. Partition Windows re can be used to repair but not to the new installation of the OS.

I m not 100% sure, but I think that this old notebook Equium has not been delivered with HARD drive recovery option and recovery DVDs was probably delivered.

  • Question on recovery discs?

I would like to start by saying that I'm pretty bad with computers, so please bear with me.

I was wondering if there was a way to create discs of Windows 7 my Y460?  On my old laptop, I was able to burn Windows Vista on disks (which would became very useful when I wanted to reformat my laptop).  However, my Y460 never gave me the opportunity to do that.

Create system restore disks or create discs of recovery through OneKey Recovery the same thing as what above?  Or is there something that I am missing?

    Thanks in advance!

    run one-key recover 6.0.
already got backups, jump 'save' otherwise click that.
Select compression backup full, fast and next >
Select the path or leave default, next >
    and start.
After backup finishes, restart the application one-key recover 6.0
Click on 'create a recovery disk' and next >
Select the backup that you have and the next >
This screen will tell you how many cd or dvd you need, min 2 dvd or cd 8, max 7 28 cd or dvd. and the next >
Insert the blank CD or DVD in pilot and wait.

You may need the image of the system, you can lose your backup cd or CD may not work after a while, so, I still recommend that you keep the original copy or more than one backup.

how much disk space, you use the size the size of cd recovery costs. his 2-7 dvd or cd 4-28.

Here are the instructions for 6.0, if you have windows 7, youhave a key recover 7.0, the process is almost the same.

Take a look at this document.

  • Cannot boot from OS recovery Disc - hard drive again

    Hello.

I had some problems with my computer for a while.  This week it stopped starting up, so I ran diagnostics from the utility partition, and it seemed pretty clearly indicate that the hard drive had a few significant flaws.  This was not unexpected, and I have all my data backed up on an external drive, so I bought a new hard drive.

The problem I'm having now is that my system does not recognize my operating system recovery disk.

I made sure my CD player is set as a first priority and tried to force it in the start menu, but it is on a black background with a blinking cursor, or says "No Boot Device available"

I tried the drive in another computer, and I can read here very well.

I ordered a replacement from Dell recovery disk, but I don't know if there is anything else I should try.

    Any help is appreciated.

Yes, if the reader is made bootable.  See here:

The first time that the fire has been stopped, the second time of the verification failed.

I had a similar issue that he wasn t possible to create the recovery so media I bought Virgin s manufacturing another DVD (Verbatim DVD-R) and it worked!

It seems that DVD - R media works well instead of DVD + R
    It s worth a try!

  • Drive hard failure - where to find recovery discs

I have a HP G60 - 235WM system that comes with having a hard drive failure.

Before the breakup, I tried to create a defined recovery disk but the process

cancelled itself in the middle of the creation of the file. Since then, I've run a system recovery that seemed to work until the second day when on startup, I got the drive imminent failure Prompt and selecting Blons is no not a thing... I bought a new drive, but need to access a set of recovery discs...

Then I bought another laptop with WIN 8.1 - questions

Can I create a set with the 8.1 recovery disk WIN that will allow me to recover the original software Vista system?

or where can I get a Vista system recovery disk?

Note: the failed hard drive can be accessed via the USB port but does not start...

    Hello:

You can call HP and see if they have a set of Vista recovery disks for your model.

If this isn't the case, you can get them from this provider on the link below.

    http://www.computersurgeons.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ID=13223

You will not be able to use a set of recovery disks you create on a different model PC.

  • The question of recovery NB200 - 10 p:

Hello! I also have a problem with recovery for NB 200 10 P. When I got the laptop on the D drive, there was 1 folder called HDDRecovery and a file called something like R1080... The problem is that I accidentally renamed this file R1080... and now my recovery does not work. I think that's the reason because I bought this laptop only 3 days ago. Can someone look at and tell me the name of this file and its extension so that I can change and do right. Plssssss! I would be grateful!

    Hello

Unfortunately, I m not NB200 owner so I can't tell you the name of folder to HARD drive recovery, but I have a different opinion.

    You can start the laptop?
If so, you could create a recovery disk (you need external CD/DVD drive) and was able to recover the device using this disc.
As far as I know this will create the partition recovery of HARD drive again.

  • Questions about the discs of recovery and partitioning Satellite A200-QH0

I bought a model of Satellite A200-QH0 in Australia and due to the lack of forums in our country, I would like to ask a few questions here if that's ok.

The book contains 3 partitions - partition "EISA Configuration" of 1.6 GB, the great partition of the BONE and the recovery partition. So I did the recovery DVD? s using the Recovery Disc Creator tool, as we are not provided with a real disk. But I would like to know what will make these records? My questions:

    1. they really will return that disc hard back to the _exactly_ how he was including the partition layout and software pre-installed?
2 will be the recovery DVD works even if the disk has been repartioned? I would like to divide the system partition to give space for the files of data etc. But this extra partition will stop the recovery procedure works correctly?

Please understand that I'm not interested in reformatting the entire disk. I want to just split the partition from the OS. But in case I need to replace the disk in the future or something, I would like to know how to close to 'original', these disks will make me, no matter what I do on the disc?

    Thank you
    Dave

    Hello

I m not 100% sure how recovery works on the Australian laptops computers Toshiba, but I presume that the restore CD contains the image of Toshiba with the operating system Windows, drivers, tools and utilities.
I think that if you want to use the recovery CD then the whole HARD drive will be formatted and all partitions will be erased.

I think that the recovery partition is not created using the recovery CD because the CD of restoration has already been created for the recovery partition is no longer necessary

    Concerning

  • Hard drive replaced, but the recovery disc may not work properly

Oh here, my laptop (Acer Aspire 7730) will not start.

I believe that I made the correct recovery disks when I got the machine before he fell, but I recently replaced my keyboard and hard drive with the same components after damage was inflicted on my laptop and I tried to run the steps in Acer recovery since the restore disc 1. He seemed fine, but after installing the 2nd disc I have now "BOOTMGR is missing" "Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart" and cannot get it to load the backup that I did when the machine was working before-hand. I can get into setting up and see that the hard drive is now identified in the list of hardware (it was empty when the broken hard drive was still mounted), maybe someone can suggest some options to solve the my problem please?

I just checked the recovery disc 1 on another machine and found these folders and files on it...

    http://i812.Photobucket.com/albums/zz48/Vanguard_01/VistaBootdisc1.PNG

Is it possible that the backup that I did was for a specific hard drive, and because this HDD is different it won't find anything?

    Thank you

    Vanguard_1

Hi Debleena5 and thanks for the suggestions, but I've reached the re-installation of the disc by using a bit 'out of the box' the thought process.

I bought a box 2.5 "SATA to connect to any computer via the USB port to try to get something on the corrupted hard drive, but this failed. I then removed my new hard drive (which began at start up OK, as I mentioned in the question above) and placed in the case and plugged into my Windows 7 laptop. Once he had run up to speed I started to explore to see what files (or even at all) had been transferred during one of my recovery disks. I've not found much until I changed the "do not show hidden files and folders check" save a file that has been locked after you change the permissions, I went further and ended at the request of then ran CHKDISK and of course he scanned my drive and found and corrected some errors very quickly. After that, I unplugged then I went back to my Vista laptop and re-inserted the new hard drive in the broken machine.

At this point, I was wondering if the disk drive on the machine may also have been damaged so I plugged a DVD player external via USB and changed the sequence to boot to the USB device. I started the laptop and the drive started to load the files and I could then complete the resettlement of these two disks and then to set up the machine as if I had just bought it.

I'm very relieved that I managed to sort it out and now I have to upgrade to Windows 7 on this laptop that I read on and seems easy. Just a shame I can't copy the installation of my 2nd, portable more recent.

    Thanks again,

    Vanguard_1
