R720XD - Perc H710P Mini - Firmware version 21.2.0 - 0007

Hello

I can't find the correct version of this run anywhere.

The next page that I think is good:

http://www.Dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/555/DriverDetails/product/PowerEdge-r720xd?driverId=347MX&osCode=WS8R2&FILEID=3188831026&LanguageCode=en&CategoryID=SF

But I can't get anything on this page to run under 2008R2.

Can someone help pls with the right package to run?

THX,

John Bradshaw

The link you provided is not for the H710p mini card. This is why it does not work, not because of a 32 bit 64 bit problem, and that I had linked to is the adapter not the mini that I have it based on the link and not the title of your post.

Try this one http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER01263699M/9/SAS_RAID_H710PM_21.2.0-0007_A04_ZPE.exe

To answer your questions about 64-bit, here is some additional information:

WOW64 is the 32-bit emulation Microsoft implementation, so that you can run 32-bit applications in a 64-bit environment. It is transparent, you don't have to do anything to run an application in WOW64. It has been used for all the applications installed that are not native 64-bit since 2003 x 64 applications.

http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/Windows/desktop/aa384249 (v = vs. 85) .aspx

Some updates of the firmware of hardware have the 64-bit versions, but most of the time between updates in 32-bit and 64-bit versions provides no advantage because it updates the firmware and not a normal running application and benefits that provide applications 64-bit are not necessary for an update , because it will not need more than 4 GB of memory, or the memory better treat that provide 64-bit applications. Production of 64-bit applications is a big advantage, but for an update that runs only once and is not necessary after that he improve the experience.

Ah... it's because you have several bays in the same set of disks (called "slice"). You cannot reconfigure arrays in slices. You will need to do a backup/restore or remove the second VFD to expand / reconfigure.

  • R.620 - Downgrade of the CREE H710P Mini Controller Firmware

    Hello

Recently, I ran dsu to update the firmware in our r.620 servers.   Among all the elements of the firmware, there is a firmware for the controller, showing us that need to downgrade.

    [] 7 firmware for - disk 0 in bottom of basket 1 PERC H710P mini controller 0
Current version: Downgrade AA0D to: AA09

I checked the current RAID controller has installed version 21.3.2_0005.  It's true that I need to downgrade or it is a mistake?  And if the downgrade is necessary, are there instructions on how to do that?

    Thank you

    8rocket,

You need to downgrade. The reason why you see this result, the firmware is newer than the version on the memorandum of UNDERSTANDING. It offers the firmware there, which is AA09, so it gives you the only option as possible. Which is to downgrade.
So I'm not concerned with it.

    I hope this helps.

  • Where the PERC H330 Mini 25.4.0.0011 firmware?

I installed OMSA 8.3 week last on a brand new R430 with all the latest available firmware upgrades applied.

    Despite this, the server notifies:

"The current version of the firmware 25.3.0.0016 is earlier than the version required 25.4.0.0011 for Controller 0 (PERC H330 Mini).

I tried the Dell downloads for the 25.4.0.0011 & driver version without a bit of luck.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Hello

There was a problem with this version of firmware. We have learned from the download site. 25.3.0.0016 is the version that is currently available.

25.4.0.0011 probably won't. A new version that fixes the problems of fate in his place. If you do not want to wait the new FW version or a new version of the OMSA to get rid of the update notification, you can change the file version. In your installation of OMSA directory there is a file called lsiver.cfg. The current version information is stored in this file. The default installation directory should be something like:

    c:/program files/dell/sysmgt/sm/cfg

The file must be located in this directory. If you open the file with Notepad and search for H330, you should be able to locate the H330 current firmware version information. There are several H330 controllers. If you don't know what controller you are using, you can change all the 25.3.0.0016 or you can just change the controller you are using. I think that there are three different H330s appear in this file.

I'm afraid - anyone know what is happening?

    See you soon

    Chris

Appearantly this is related to the latest driver from Dell. I've found a workaround, but it's a bit complicated:

1 connect a USB stick which is big enough

    2. install Wndows 8.1 on the * USB drive *.

    3. start Windows, and then remove the current driver and install the previous driver for Windows Server 2012.

    4. use the 3rd party software (say that Ghost) to copy the windows from USB drive to VD on Dell PERC H710P controller.

    5. start Windows in the USB drive again and use 'bcdedit' to clean boot stuff

in any case, I'm LSI 9361-8i, so it won't be a problem for me in the future...

Is it possible to update the firmware without system reboot? I am running CentOS 5 and 6

No, you can update the firmware without a reboot, but the update will be based in the controller cache until a reset is performed. So yes, you can perform the update without reboot, but it will not take effect until you perform a reboot.

  • H710 PERC (PowerEdge R820) firmware update

    Hello world

    I have a new server PowerEdge R820 and I'm not able to update the firmware of PERC H710 (21.1.0 - 0007, A03) to the latest version 21.2.0 - 0007, A04.

I tried with a key USB bootable with the files BACK to the inside, but just update software says no: "no controller detected."

The server is online since 2 weeks now, so there is no current RAID rebuild and I tried also with PERC H810 firmware, no luck.

    Any advice? Thank you

    Daniele

If the system has access to the internet, reboot the system, press F10 when you are prompted to enter in the life cycle of the controller, then once its there, select Firmware update, exit FTP selected server and proceed from there, its quite intuitive. One of the choices will be updated the H710 controller.

    Hello friends,

In short: why block some Web pages and others do not use this feature in my router?  As mentioned above, I run a small office and uses one: WRT54G V6 (Firmware Version: v1.02.8): router.

For example, I managed to block sites like 'sex.com' and others.  Also, blocking sites by keywords such as: News, music, vid, naked, etc.  BUT, when I try to block FACEBOOK or TWITTER or by URL or keyword, guess what: IT DOES NOT WORK...!

No idea why this is happening and how can I be successful in the configuration of this feature?  I'd appreciate that!  Blessings...

Just to let you know two things:

    1. I contacted Linksys live chat and they confirmed Web sites I want blocked using the protocol https, thye can not be blocked because the router features

    2. as mentioned before, I warned an account with DynDNS as you suggest, followed their instructions, and after 24 hours or more, the protection is active...! Now no one in my little office is losing work time to monitor their FB status or send tweets!   In addition, because my office is on the first floor of my house, I have peace of mind because I can block different sites using their "protection plans" categories: sport, games, porn, social media, blogs, videos, etc.   I love...!  I would recommend this service to anyone

  • Access Point WRT1900AC & Firmware version: 1.1.10.167514, it cannot be accessed the config page.

    Hello!

I am a new user of router dual-band WRT1900AC . The installation has been updated instantly to
    Firmware version: 1.1.10.167514
    Release date: June 30, 2015

My WRT1900AC is configured as a wireless gateway.

    https://community.Linksys.com/T5/wireless-routers/WRT1900AC-as-wireless-access-point/TD-p/847286

Also, I have disabled firewall and uPnP.
    A tutorial here:

    http://www.Linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=140371

Everything works except that without access to the router config page.

The problem is, I can't access my page to config WRT1900AC Wireless Access Point and the only solution is to connect temporary exit HAND ROUTER LAN to WAN WRT1900AC, can I access my AP

(after restart of course). Change after I return the cable to the LAN again and restart WRT1900AC. This works.

Yesterday, I spoke with live chat. I received recommendations:
"Once the router is configured to bridge fashion, page configuration accessible only using its new IP address. The new IP address can be found on the main router DHCP table. It is because only in LAN - LAN, the

WRT1900AC will be his disabled DHCP. »

I also saw Table of customer routers main DHCP but I have not found the IP address of my wireless WRT1900AC Access Point there. I think it is a bug in the version of the Firmware: 1.1.10.167514
Page config in the case of WRT1900AC Wireless Access Point is isolated or possible only thanks to the WAN WRT1900AC. It would be nice if someone confirms that and maybe in the next version of

fix. :-) I have a beautiful smartphone App "Smart Wi - Fi" and I can not comfortably use it due to this error/bug.
Otherwise everything works well and stably.

    Hi chadster766!

Thanks for your suggestion and a quick response. I have a feeling it would work then as you described. But how to set Internet settings in mode Bridge? I've already put a static IP address router IP address WRT1900AC. I see it with IP scanner.
If I leave the cables as you suggest (hand router LAN to WAN WRT1900AC), the Internet does not work. In this case go to the config page, but Internet with other devices will not work. Also good Wifi, it works but can not access. How to set the Bridge Mode? (I think this is my problem in this scenario)

IP address of the router (LAN):

Connectivity-online-online details router LAN => Edit

    * If your main router IP subnet example is 192.168.0.x, then set the address of the WRT1900AC IP to an IP outside the range of the main router DHCP. Ex: 192.168.0.2

    Bridge mode:

  • How do I know the hardware version WRT54G to only the firmware version and date

Hi - on a Linksys WRT54G, serial numbers and the version number have
been worn except in the case of the unit, so I don't know what version it is. He has since been released in it's 'safe place' to which I don't have physical access (and yet they want me to admin it). Don't think that I even get cable connect, wireless only. Gee. In any case... of the configuration screens I see:

The current version of the firmware is 1.00.6 January 20, 2006.
I could, I guess that to get the MAC address

The default login and password are what is active.

Can you tell what version of the material is, so that I can download the
    good firmware flash update?
    Thank you

The best way is to check the hardware, but as you mentioned, it is not an option. I suggest that you check each firmware release notes, check the previous firmware versions and dates on each version of the output material. However, it may be tedious.

  • WRT54G (version 2) Firmware Version Question

    Hello

Beautiful room here. I'm glad that this facility exists.

I have the router WRT54G version 2. Finally, I upgraded the version of firmware years before Cisco Linksys bought.

A recent announcement by the people of Black Hat (treaties in this article of TechSpot) about their intention to publish a validation tool to exploit a vulnerability of DNS rebinding on a great many routers SOHO forced me to check for the latest update of firmware for my router.

The interesting thing is that my router's Web interface lists the current version of the firmware as 4.30.12, but the latest version of the downloadable firmware that I see listed on the support site is 4.21.1. I'm not very surprised by this apparent anomaly. If I remember correctly, that firmware version 4.30.12 download is a beta that was supposed to fix a problem connecting WiFi to a certain type. If this version of the firmware was still considered a beta at the time of the acquisition of Linksys by Cisco - or a 'stable' later firmware version incorporating the same or better fixes for the issues addressed by 4.30.12 that had been produced at that time-so maybe 4.30.12 was ruled out.

If you read the article of TechSpot and the associated table of preliminary vulnerability, test reports, you'll see that router WRT54G version 2 is not specifically listed. Version 3 of the router is listed as vulnerable, and version 5 of the router is not.

    So, my questions are:

Everyone here is aware of information indicating whether or not the problem of DNS Rebinding vulnerability affects the WRT54G version 2 with the last registered (4.21.1) router firmware version?

If so, does anyone know if yes or no Cisco plans to release an update for this old router?

If the router is vulnerable and will not be solved with a firmware update I'll probably have myself a new LInksys router which is not listed as vulnerable. (Believe me, I'm not leaving this thread to bash Linksys. This router ran like a train of 24 hours a day for years without a single hiccup that was not directly attributable to the problems of the ISP. For the price, it's one of the best purchases of equipment I've ever done calculation. And I have done this since the beginning of the 80s when I was using a CP/M system and an Apple / / e.)

If the 4.21.1 version firmware for WRT54G version 2 is not affected, I wonder if anyone knows if yes or no 'downgrading' of 4.30.12 to 4.21.1 is likely to lead to a failure of the router. (I'll probably try it anyway. If it brick the router I'll just go ahead and get a new one.)

BTW, I use this router with the ease of remote administration and UPnP off and strong admin password that is changed each week. (When I always used wireless I used WPA2 AES with strong password, but I am all wired now with the systems running Debian testing).

Forgive me for talking to myself. I decided to just go ahead and "downgrade" of the 4.30.12 firmware 4.21.1 version - just because I prefer to use a version of firmware known and supported for this material. The downgrade has gone well, so no worries about this.

I'll look for news on whether or not this version of the firmware on this particular router is vulnerable to the flaw in DNS rebinding and acts accordingly.

    Sorry for the noise.
