Your problem is unlikely to be associated with the event ID: 219, which warns a driver did not load. In fact the driver load a few moments later and the portable device then works.

  • The \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load the device driver USB\VID_0483 & PID_2016\5 & 295bd535 & 0 & 2.

    WUDFRd failed to load of the device

    Hello

    I did a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit and everything goes fine until I started to add the specific drivers of lenovo t61p.  I get the following in the Event Viewer error message:

    The \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load the device driver USB\VID_0483 & PID_2016\5 & 295bd535 & 0 & 2.

    After a lot of Googling, I found that the usb device is a fingerprint reader.  remove the fingerprint reader drivers removes the error in Event Viewer.

    AuthenTec TouchChip fingerprint coprocessor uses the v1.5.0.289 driver.  their website States that the error is a problem with Microsoft.  See this link:

    http://support.AuthenTec.com/Knowledgebase/KBview/tabid/843/ArticleID/443/WUDFRd-failed-to-load-for-the-Device.aspx, or search their Knowledge Base for "WUDFRd failed to load for the device.

    I see that the other members of the forum answers have similar problems, but they still have to find a solution.  is that someone in Microsoft could provide an update for a fix?

    Yes! After two years, I found a solution.  I installed a previous version of Lenovo sw fp and it fixes attention on win 7 sp1 2 t60.  I've been running for about 3 weeks and warning went on two PCs. then, download and install IN1FGP08WW1.exe.  It is fp s-o of Lenovo in UTEK and there the pilot to clear the warning.  BUT it's not as safe as the current Lenovo sw fp.  Apparently, she was abandoned when authentic bought UTEK because of this.  as I understand it, if someone has physical access to your pc they can decifer pw of windows in the registry.  This isn't a big problem for me.

  • Cut random downs and crashes. Computer laptop closing at startup. No virus, what is - this?

    A few months my computer has been acting crazy. Lately, it is essential, it is closed right after it starts. Another thing, it tends to do is to enter a State of low power (not in standby or Hibernate), with all the lights and power always, by discoloration to a black screen. I tried every key sequence to bring my screen, but it never does, so I find myself manually shut down my computer in now the power button. Last night I shut down my computer and as I turned it on this morning I had the 'blue screen of death '. I have no virus and I'm starting to think that this has something to do with the inner workings of my computer (things that I have no idea about). I don't know if I need new drivers, need to clean my registry, I've already defragged my computer, or if I have a chance to save my laptop.

    I also don't have any specs on my computer and don't know how to find them or the other. These problems that I said start to become a great inconvenience, but I have a bunch of stuff saved on my computer, so it is difficult for me to move on to the other laptop I have for my daily use. ANY help would be greatly appreciated, I'm desperate!

    Hello

    Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
    It is just like it loses power or stop it in the normal way?

    To be able to remove ALL and reinstall all the cables (both ends), card and memory - really remove
    and replace - do not just tight. Remove the dust bunnies and clean the vents. Check that the
    fans of work (before and after opening the case). If a laptop on what you can do is reinstall
    memory and clean the ventilation openings (still may try to add a small fan as a test).

    Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

    This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

    This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

    -Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
    For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
    Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

    For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
    Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
    your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
    Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
    Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

    Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
    with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

    Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
    Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
    BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

    Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

    Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
    presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
    in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

    Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

    Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Satellite Pro M10 freeze and crash with some programs

    Hello

    I have a M10 Pro Satellite...
    A few weeks ago it's freeze and crash with some programs like wmpayer, messenger... I delivered to the authorized agent and they had not detected any problems.
    Already I have formatted several times, but the problem persists.

    Any idea what this may be?

    Thank you

    Hello

    For me it looks like you might have a motherboard problem. Formatting removes the chance that it is a software problem. Try taking 1 stick of RAM and test with it. If she continues to crash, remove that stick and try it. If she does it with the two RAM then those who are ok. HARD drive is not the culprit, so now he could either be processor or MB. Find a program to measure the heat from the laptop and run some heavy programs do overheat. If the temperature goes up and then it crashes, it could just be overheating. If it continues without overheating you either have a CPU or MB problem. I hope this helps.

    Hi all

    I have a Satellite A100-225 with a 100 GB SATA Hitachi drive I int it that recently started showing bad sectors. Then I bought a Hitachi 320 GB SATA II drive to replace it. I tried the drive and it was recognized right away, so I didn't need to change the SATA speed. I ran the restore a disk installed newest. The problem I have is that the computer keeps freezing and crashing with the new drive. It takes a lot of time to load up when turned on and there is a noticeable to untermittant delay when you drag the cards around solo.

    I tried to run the Hitachi drive test and it comes back fine. I also tried to turn the SATA speed of the drive down from 300 to 150 via the firmware, and although I saw a slight improvement, it is still not right.

    I talked to Hitachi and they say that he could not be 100% compatible, so the problems. Someone at - it else sucessfully set up a replacement for this notebook drive and if so what make and model. Has anyone else had simular problems?

    Thank you

    Years ago, I've updated yet more former Satellite M70 with SATA HDD (270 GB if I m remembering well) and everything was fine.
    In my view upgrade with SATA HDD normal shouldn't be a problem. Do not SATA II because it will not work faster.

    I can't say for sure, but there must be a compatibility problem.

    I downloaded the iso file for vista, the restore disc but it not start when I restart my computer. what im supposed to do or am I missing something?

    You need to change the boot sequence:

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.
    Restore point:
    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/
    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.
    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Hello - anyone can help me find a solution to my problem?
    My problem: Windows failed to load because the system registry file is missing or damaged. Status: Oxc000014C
    I tried everything the sytem advised through SafeMode etc... Also, I tried to reload my OS - last updated through the windows update site. However, he did not - probably because all updates from MS, which means that it would not load from the DVD.
    It's a whole new system customized with MS Vista 64 bit, Office 2007 Untimate, Asus MB, 250 GB HD ATI video card. I used Vista for almost a year and had no problems until today. All of the original software.
    I have my thesis and several files, I was working on someone - I was doing consulting work to supplement my income as a student... Unfortunately, when I finally used my system last night it was ok. Now I canoe get my system up and running.
    Mark Merci for your comments.
    I found myself communicating directly with Microsoft and they were able to get my system up and running without losing me data. Hooray for Microsoft!
    My system is back to normal and I am assuring you that all my files are backed up on DVD.
    Recovery discs would be Windows Vista installation files.  It would be safe to use if they are needed when the sfc/scannow scanning.
    A recovery disc is a general term for media containing a backup State initial factory or a favorable condition of a computer such as configured by an OEM manufacturer or an end user. OEM supplied recovery media is usually comes with most computers to allow the user to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the operating system and preloaded software as it was when it was shipped.
