• iCloud family sharing Question

  Dear Apple,

  My name is Noah Gilbert, and I happen to be the Expert IT with our family.

  Unfortunately, for these past years, our family of 4 shared an Apple ID and somethings happened.

  When one of us call each other, that the contacts of the things up, and also when you go in recent, there are people that I didn't call, but have called others in our family, and it's something that are not nice and also very scary.

  I read upward on your iCloud, sharing of family and are generally fascinated on this subject, but when diving into the details, it's when it gets a bit murky.

  If all 4 of us was to create an Apple ID and had to get the sharing of the family, what would happen to all of our data.

  The main question is:

  What would happen to all our Contacts, Mail, calendar, iTunes purchases and also the App Store purchases?

  Also, when it would be and current execution, will be our contacts and the stuff of colander, be separated into different lists of info.

  I would really appreciate it if someone from this community come back to me, please.

  First, everyone should have their Apple ID individual to avoid confusion you describe above.  If that were the case, then all the Contacts, calendar, e-mail, purchases of App Store and iTunes purchases will be remained connected to these accounts; under family sharing, however, there are some things that can and cannot be shared.  You can have a read more about it here - What are the types of content can I share with sharing family?-Apple Support

• Satellite 510 - Wlan upnp sharing question

  I have a Sat 510 Windows 7, I connect to my network through a wireless access point.
  Everything seems to work except upnp sharing from my laptop which does not recognize some devices, same XBOX360 connect / even though I can see it on the network.

  When I connect wired, sharing upnp works very well.
  I have an XP machine alongside and with no problems or wireless, both machines are running the same norton firewall.

  I tried everything I can think but do not know if it is a framework for Win 7 or fault or a hardware problem with point of access or Toshiba.

  To be honest, I've never heard of upnp sharing but to use special ports, allow the latter in your router configuration and firewall software (Norton).
  Check it!

  In addition, I would recommend updating the firmware on your router and install the last driver WLAN.
  Also check the network on Windows 7 configuration!

• RDBMS Synch question

  I created an AccountsAction.csv file which synchronizes every day with our ACS SE 1113 4.1 device. In the .csv file, each created account has the 3 following elements included in the attachment.

  Now my question is, you can see the expiration date, but where we put the start date? I want each of these files to contain a start and stopwatch function.

  Expiration of account ACS does not have specific start dates - finish that dates.

  Only solution is add the accounts to the date they should become active.

• Dedicated vs Shared Question

  I'm trying to understand if my DB run dedicated or shared. I have read several posts here, but some information is contradict each other on my server. Is my analysis up to now and it leads me to believe that I am running in dedicated server mode, but I'd love to help to better understand if I'm right. Thank you in advance for your help!

  4. the tnsnames.ora file has SERVER = DEDICATED, which means that the DB is NOT shared regardless of the top.

  by default when you create a database using DBCA, it will be configured in dedicated server mode.

  1. those that you noticed is the basic configuration. the actual work of the shared server architecture will be launched when you specify a value for the DISPATCHERS parameter. By default, you will see this value as 1, but that doesn't mean database is to use it. as mentioned in another point, if you want to use shared mode, then SERVER = SHARED must be mentioned in tnsnames.ora on the client side.

• Apple TV 2, question of activation of sharing home

  Hello

  I can't enter my computer since the apple TV.

  When I go in the menu computer he choose active House sharing, it asks for my login apple and pwd, and when I initiate, I get a code on my iPhone where it says I have to enter this code after my pwd. I do but it keep saying wrong ID or pwd.

  My iTunes seems to be configured correctly.

  You have 2 factor (6-digit code) or step 2 (4 digit code) enabled on your Apple account.

  Disable this option for now and try again.  Others have reported problems with the use of this feature.

  Under normal circumstances, you should store the swap files in the same data store than the other files of the virtual machine. However, you need to prevent replication of swap files to avoid excessive consumption of band network bandwidth. • 11 GR 2 (10.2.0.3) RDBMS and G.I - installation question

  I have to build two new servers with the following configuration:

  Platform: RHEL 6.2 64bits

  Oracle RDBMS: 11 GR 2 (11.2.0.3)

  Grid infrastructure (ASM): 11 GR 2 (11.2.0.3)

  I downloaded the files for RDBMS 11.2.0.3 but I couldn't find grid Infra 11.2.0.1 download. I found a doc of MOS (ID 1362393.1) that says to download the Group of hotfixes that contains the "Oracle Grid Infrastructure (including Oracle ASM, Oracle Clusterware and Oracle Restart)".

  I have two questions:

  • If I install 11.2.0.3 for RDBMS, will I have to install 11.2.0.3 for grid below as well GOLD can also install 11.2.0.1? What is the best approach?
  • Is - this group of patches (for grid below the MOS) above a full install OR I need to install 11.2.0.1 first and then the patch for 11.2.0.3?

  The GI software version must be the same version of the database, or superior - it may not be a lower version. See MOS Doc 337737.1

  Just started reading concepts DBA. I had a few questions. Please explain indetail/short ;-).

  (1) can we see the size of the Cache of the library and Cache data dictionary which are internal units of the Shared pool.
  (2) one of the advantages of the package is - when we invoke a single method, oracle loads the whole package into the buffer and for subsequent calls, it will not go to the db files. Here the buffer means library Cache. My understanding is correct.
  (3) I am able to see the two parameters shared_pool_size(value =0), shared_pool_reserved_size (value 15099494) to parameter v$. What is the difference between these two parameters.

• Question of shared recovery Site

  Here's my scenario.  I need to test VMware View and SRM.  I plan to use scripts provided by EMC to help with view and SRM because the view was not really made to be able to test in a DR scenario.

  I have two vCenters in a production data center.  One is used for my normal "servers" and is vCenter 4.1 x 64.   The other vCenter is used for VMware View host computers, I have this vCenter (called "VDI") because I use View Composer and it is not compatible with x 64 servers.

  On the site of DR, I have a vCenter.  It is currently running vCenter 4.0.  Now, I know that I can have a shared with MRS recovery site, but virtual machines can also be shared?

  For example, should I perform a test of SRM which includes a production vCenter my "Server" domain controller and also include the view virtual machines that are part of the other 'VDI' vCenter in my production?

  First of all, what version of MRS. you plan to use? You mentioned the two vCenter 4.1 and 4.0. SRM 4.1 is not compatible with vCenter 4.0 and SRM 4.0.x is not compatible with vCenter 4.1 (SRM versions must be the same at all sites).

  Regarding your question, I have not implemented recovery shared functionality, but as far as I know, even in this configuration you can still pair site independently, i.e. protected satellite site SRM and SRM instance of its corresponding recoverysite instance. So I don't think that the associations for the Protection of several sites will be available to include in the unique recovery plan.

  Please correct me if I'm wrong.
