  As I m not wrong not the A300 was equipped with HARD drive recovery option.
  This means that you can grab the laptop and set it to factory settings very easy and without use of the Recovery DVD!

  Then turn on the laptop, press the F8 key and choose the option called fix my computer.
  Then, a new screen should appear and you need to choose the last option called Toshiba Recovery or something like that.
  Then follow the instructions on the screen.

  The whole HARD drive must be formatted and new operating system with all the drivers must be installed

  I too have a PSAG0A of A300 Satallite that freezes in Vista Home Premium. It varies between 30 seconds and a few hours before he can lock up, but it has been getting worse over time.   After installing windows XP SP3 with success issues showed up hope you can help me guys...

  list of issues:
