• Is there a way to read the settings in a .pst file?

  Hi all!

  I looked everywhere for info on this and found nothing. Anyone know how to read the settings contained in a .pst file? I found some that I really like, but would like to know what they are doing. In other words, what are the different used FX and what are their settings? I would use some other users have created as a starting point to create my own channels of FX. Open in a text editor doesn't show something like:

  You're right, the settings file contain only of the code when opened in a text editor.

  But why don't you just open settings in a project, this way of seeing exactly what Plugins are loaded. Opening of the plug-in window will show you their parameters.

  The only restriction is that GarageBand has only a limited view of Plugin window which can not show all settings. To do this you must open in Logic Pro X.

• Synaptics device settings are not not in the mouse properties

  I have a HP dm4t-1000 running Windows 7.  I just reformatted the HARD drive and tried to get the system up to-and-operational again.  Everything seems to work properly, with the exception of the touchpad.

  I rebooted, uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for the Synaptics touchpad about 20 times so far (several versions different too).  I can see the touchpad of my device manager (says it's working properly) and Windows Update and function of update driver in the device-> Manager Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad-> update driver software... say that the driver is up-to-date.  However, the touchpad still does not (at all), and when I try to change the settings of the Synaptics (Control Panel-> mouse) driver, I do NOT see a device settings tab.  Also, when I open the properties of the mouse (Control Panel-> mouse), I get the following error message:

  "Control Panel Extension is Incompatible with the Version of the driver"

  Here, I'm confused.  Device Manager indicates that my hardware is working properly, but my touchpad is completely non-functional.

  Any suggestions?

  If Synaptics settings does not appear under the mouse properties after completing the previous steps, try the following:

  1. Open Device Manager
  2. Find the device touchpad ("PS/2 Compatible Mouse")
  3. Right-click on the device, then click on "Update driver software"
  4. Choose "Browse my computer for driver software".
  5. Choose "Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.
  6. Nverifiez the option 'Show compatible hardware '.
  7. nder "Manufacturer", scroll down to "Synaptics".
  8. Under the 'model', the 17.0.19 driver should appear.
  9. Select the driver, and then click Next.
  10. Click 'Yes' to the 'pilot WARNING update"pop up.
  11. Restart
  12. Tell me if it works for you

• Portege A600-175 - failed to start the card reader device

  I got a Portege A600-175 running windows XP SP3 with a problem in the card reader device. Insert an SD card, it makes the sound that USB devices usually do when inserted (and also when it is removed) bur it doesn t appear on my computer. Do the Device Manager, it appears as a disc with an exclamation point on it and in properties, I see the error this device cannot start. (Code 10)

  I ve already removed the device and let windows find and install again but the problem persists.

  I think that you should look for an update to the driver on the Toshiba site:
  http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

  Remove the old version, restart the computer and install the version of the Toshiba page.

  I have several M601s on my network and 2 of them have strange behavior where when you try to access the "Device settings" tab in the printer properties window, then the window is closed.  The rest do the right thing.  They are all using the latest version of the PCL6 driver for the M600 family.  It's a domain environment Windows Server 2012 with all printers managed on the domain controller.  All users, up and including the administrator of the domain have the same behavior.  All the settings I can think on the printer and the Print Management MMC plugin are the same between a printer that works and one that doesn't.  I don't see anything on the web management to a printer that is not match/stands out as a potential problem.

  Has anyone another fixed a similar problem?  If so, how?

  I understand your annoyance that you cannot update the driver hub USB rot. Please follow the steps below to help you to solve the problem.

  I would like to inform you that a Code 28 error is caused by a driver missing for that piece of hardware.

  There are all sorts of reasons that a driver could not be installed for a device, but your troubleshooting the problem will be the same regardless of the root cause.

  • Remove or reconfigure newly installed unit.
  • Restore the version before your driver update.
  • Use system restore to undo recent changes in Device Manager.

  My HDMI cable does not appear in the reading devices or the Device Manager even if it is plugged, the problem is I want to play sounds through my TV that is connected using the HDMI interface. He appeared once in the playback devices and I allowed and played on a YouTube video and it slowed down the video and the sound was stuttering.  Does anyone know how to fix this?   You can use strings for the values of these parameters and default values as you described. Only, I would create channels if you expect to need to change the parameter at run time values by defining it from the workspace or a profile of stimulus.

  If the parameters are static (for a start at least), then I would just set them as a property on one of the nodes in the device customized using the NI VeriStand - Set point property VI. You can create as many named properties. Properties can be any value you choose, such as double, double table, etc., boolean, string. You can set these system explore and they will be saved in the definition of system and available on the target of RT using the NI VeriStand - point Get property VI. You can read them only in the engine, not write down them, but there is usually a lot more low overhead to have properties of programs.

  I assume you are using the definition of system .NET API to change the homeless before deployment.

  In this case, there is a constructor for a custom device that takes the GUID of the homepage. Once that is done, use the AddCustomDevicemethod on the node CustomDevices of the Homeless.

  When you have the custom device reference .NET (the object) you can configure it with calls .NET as add channel/section and set properties. Although, given that most of the custom devices have initialization VI who made the most of it, you can call initialization VI, in fact if you want. To do this, get the NodeIDof the CustomDevice object and passing to the initialization of VI connector pane.

  I rebooted the HP software on my Windows 7 PC.  As a result, device tab shows duplexer settings still NOT INSTALLED no matter what I do.  Before the PC software reload duplex printing worked perfectly.

  I understand that you have some problems with the all-in-one printer Officejet J6480 after reinstaling on your Windows 7 PC. I can help you with that.

  To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

  1. If the printer is connected to the printer via a USB cable, remove it.
  2. Close any programs you have open.
  3. Click on start and open devices and printers.
  4. Right-click on any icon of your printer listed.
  5. Click on remove the instrument.
  6. Repeat for any other icon of your printer listed.
  7. If you removed the USB cable, connect.
  8. Click on add printer and select your printer from the list.
  9. On the screen that asks you to select a driver for your printer, find the driver for Deskjet 9800.
  10. Continue adding a print to your printer queue.

  I don't have any icon indicating the settings of the device on the control panel mouse, in order to turn the tap and click on my pad. It was turned off and then all of a sudden everything become active. I don't want to tap on the keyboard. Tried everything I could understand, to change to scroll. I saw solutions that says change settings of the device. What is another way?
