Ready NAS 314 stops at "boot".

Hello

today I updated the FM at 6.4, which worked well, I think. Then I tried to install the Wiki (App). Does the NAS from the browser unaccessable (files were still more or less accessible).

Then I tried to restart it and it stopped during starting, saying "boot" and the PowerLED flashes.

I tried to reinstall the operating system, but it always stops during startup.

Any ideas I can try? I will now check the discs and hard drives.

Is it possible to do a factory returns without records and without losing data?

I have 4x2TB disks, how I save them?

Thanks a lot for your suggestions!

Philipp

Thanks for your response!

Now I have solved the problem, use a monitor to the NAS and typing credentials in linux seemed to have helped the NAS. Now he is well again.

Yes I can confirm the order in which it happened as you described.

Best wishes

Philipp

  • Don't restart Ready NAS Duo

    We walked into work this morning and our ready Nas Duo was not working and does not detect on RAIDar. We hit the Reset button and turned on, the blue light flashes, lights flashed on and outside and the fan makes a noise, but it doesn't do anything else. We tried unplug and wait a minute before you do it again, still nothing. It detects no more in RADARS, but it was working very well and detect radar last week. When we put our serial number in, it came with ReadyNA SRN2000 in the model, but it won't let me put that in the above model number section.

    Yes, you will need to disable the power is not blocked during the boot process.

    I've been using ReadyNAS Remote for years on my Android phone and an iPad - now it connects, or so it seems, but I show nothing - no directory structure, no file - it just stopped working. I reinstalled software/applications on both devices - NOTHING!

    Also my ReadyNAS works fine and I can access all my data on the home network but simply, the new ReadyCloud software does not recognize the device - Raidar is fine, I can connect on the NAS Server fine but ReadyCloud says that there is no device. • MacBook pro stops during boot, same drive boots imac

    My 2009 MB Pro has a 2 TB with (MacOS 10.11) inside drive. It suddenly started to stop a few seconds in the boot process. When I walk in target disk mode I can still boot my iMac using this same internal drive via firewire. I used it like that for a few weeks with zero problems.

    I ran each diagnostic that I can think on the drive, including the latest version of Techtool Pro, and the player with the flying colors each time.

    I suspect the problem was the MacBook Pro hardware, but it starts on another internal drive (with 10.6 on it) very well.

    Any idea what I can do here to get this drive of my MacBook Pro starting again?

    I already had all my documents within my job in the raid 1.0... !!! I did the thing of tool USB recovery but nothing happends... !!!

    My first question what I can do to make it work again?

    If I reset the NaS software, he will understand that my HD are in the raid 1.0? Or this delete all my files? Is it possible to make a backup now?

    I don't know what else to do... !!! the worst thing is that I have all my jobs in there and I can't work without it... !!!

    O.K. You had 6.1.4 on this unit and tried to use 6.1.5 to fix it using Recovery Boot USB.

    I had a look on the remote system and manually updated to 6.5.2 and it came in fine. Also then update it to 6.5.2 6.6.0 with no problems.

    Hello

    1 did you change your computer, after which the issue started?

    If it starts in safe mode, I suggest that you start your computer in a clean boot State and check if that helps.

Help!

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  • Vista stops during boot

    During startup, Vista try to load, but then stops.  I tried F8 but I try all options will also shut down the computer. I'm not able to get safe mode, so I can't try CHKDSK.  When I could finally get it and try to fix your computer, he analyzes and the told me it cannot be resolved.  Is there a diagnosis online which allows to fix this situation?  Other options in addition to a full system restore?

    You can try it before you do a reinstall:

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
  • After the 24 Firefox update, Windows 7 64-bit breaks on reboot. The network in the taskbar icon is not ready (blue circle stopped).
    After 24 of Firefox update, Windows 7 breaks after the reboot. The network in the taskbar icon is not ready (blue circle on the wireless network icon). But I can't do much. I can't open the network and sharing Center (never opened). Even the Task Manager hangs when I click to show processes from all users. I have to do a system restore for a network working again. I never even launched Firefox.
    Wow... I finally have the solution. Windows updates have been applied at the same time I updated Firefox. Bluetooth driver is what broke (which is part of the Centrino wireless). I ended up installing the latest driver from Intel, Windows Update, and then update Firefox... and all is well.
    I thank very you much for all your help. Take care.
  • How can I stop the boot record guaranteed Tempro message?
    Whenever I start my Toshiba Satellite computer, a dialog box with the message "reminder to register Toshiba Notebook has stopped working, Windows is checking for a solution" is displayed. No solution never appears.
    I looked at the status of the guarantee on TEMPRO, where it is said that I had not yet registered to the standard warranty.
    OK, well I thought I had, but maybe I forgot or do not materialize.
    So I clicked on save, entered my details and found that in fact I HAD recorded, about a week after I bought the computer (as I thought).
    If the registration reminder program should not be run!
    It's really annoying for this next screen, especially since I tend to shut my computer down when I'm not using it so got to encouter this most of the time I start using it.
    And for some reason any the TEMPRO software did not record that I registered.
    How can I stop this?
    Hello
    Either it's something wrong with the installed Tempro tool or tool didn t notice that you are already registered for the guarantee.
    So first of all I recommend reinstalling the Tempro and upgrade to the latest version available.
    You can find the latest here on this page of Toshiba Tempro:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/generic/TEMPRO_W7_RELEASE/
    If this is not enough, you could disable the Tempro in msconfig (enter RUN msconfig). In the Startup tab, you will find an entry tempro which you can uncheck. Save the changes and restart the device.
    This will help you get rid of this message.
  • Ready NAS 102 settles after reinstalling OS
    I recently had some problems loading of apps on my readyNAS 102 so I decided to do an OS reinstall. I followed the procedure and it seems that go to the stadium where the Raidar shows 'installation' and none goes ever further. I tried the default settings and OS reinstall several times and no luck. Any help?
    Have you tried to test the disks with lifeguard program of WDC (on a PC)?
    You can use his diagnosis "write zeros", which would also mean that the NAS would see unformatted discs w/o data on them.
  • What ready NAS I need please? I don't understand some things.
    Hello
    I apologize in advance for asking below, which have probably been asked before--but not found by me.
    First of all, I currently have:
    * Ultra 2 with red 2x2TB WD
    * Pro 2 with 2x1To WD
    I now need 4 TB storage in a single machine. The HCL for readers of the above shows that the number of readers that are abandoned (Australia).
    I'm therefore looking for new OS6 models...
    * It seems to me that a Bay 4 logic - but if I used XRAID 2 with 4x2TB discs, would I 4TB? I saw messages where snapshots automatically adopt the available space. Can I use 4 x 3 or 4 TB drives?
    * I do not understand the differebce between the series 1, 2 and 3 4 models of the Bay. Are replaced 1 series?
    * Need is the EDA500 - or what is its role?
    * Can I save new OS6 models for my Ultra and Pro?
    Thanks for your help. I want to get a model that won't discontued "next week."
    Oh - backup Cloud is out of the question.
    Thank you very much
  • Ready NAS 4220 command terminal to disabled checkbox "allow instant access."
    I have a temp 4220 readynas as a file server, joined an ad. 6.2.4 current firmware
    There is also a file indexing on-site 24/7 running. It indexes action 4.
    I have a junior administrator who will recover the files deleted using the "snapshot" function
    The issue is the 'allow instant access' remains on by accident. This causes the indexing of file index all snapshots. This pushes the index to 60 + GB in size. It will grow if big, that it stops new classes of indexing files. If it not to index the snapshots, the database will be around 4 GB.
    I would like a cron job to disable the 'allow the snapshot' nightly at 02:00.
    I can't find an online resource that gives enough details on the function of snapshot except how to delete snapshots. I want to deactivate access according to a schedule and keep the snapshot running.
    Thanks for looking into this for me.
    I thought that it might be a terminal command to do this.
  • Bad username / password on Ready Nas Duo v2
    Since I was an adult upward, I'm not supposed to barge on this forum and just shouting that this product is crap. I really can't say that before I managed to actually connect on it, can I?
    Have to admit that really angered me.
    Have implemented what feels like 100 NAS-drives to work, and this is my second home.
    So, I install the drive inside and hang the net. Use the raidar and concludes the NAS drive to try first.
    According to the manual, the username / password should be admin / netgear1.
    According to my loginattempts on Firefox and IE, which is not correct.
    It is a common mistake?
    How do I correct? What I really want to start my career of ReadyNas by resetting the tincan until I was able to connect in it?
    The password on DUO v2 is the password, it is not netgear1.
