reboot my laptop

purchased a lapto [and im locked out of the side administrator how to restart or remove the files please help...]

An Acer Aspire 3690 sold with eRecovery which means that there should be a recovery partition containing an original copy of the operating system at the time of the initial purchase. The key word being "should" because we do not know if the person who sold it to you has deleted or changed the content of the partition.

Restoring the default settings is irreversible!

This page from the Acer web site gives information about eRecovery and a downloadable manual.

  • M100 satellite disk restore will not work, keeps on rebooting the laptop

    Hello

I have a M100 I need to restore to out of box state. XP is running too slow and after getting some internet pop ups of facebook, the laptop is having issues.

Now, I tried to run the program of restoration of the drive and it happens with ramdisk boot, then the f6 press to install an aditional drivers, then wait.
The mouse cursor appears on the screen and it can be moved around, then the laptop restarts just.

I tried this several times and with main power and with and without the battery while on the grid.

I suspected it was a problem of hard disk or a boot sector virus, which prevents the program of restoration of the race. However, I tried a new hard drive and it still does the same thing.
I changed the RAM and still does not. About a year or two ago I had to restore the laptop as the HARD drive died and I replaced it with another hard drive on a different Toshiba laptop and it worked fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need this laptop for school

    Thank you

    Hello

Sorry, but one thing in this story is strange. Why load additional driver?

If you want to have out of the box to install OS, you must use the Toshiba CD/DVD facilities sent. Using this disk, you do not need to load anything, just start the recovery procedure, let it run and when you're done just restart your laptop. That all s that you do.

So, if you have this original Toshiba drive please do as follow:
Start your laptop and press F12 repeatedly
When the boot menu appears recovery disc into the optical disc drive
In the list, choose the CD/DVD device and press ENTER
Follow the menu on the screen

  • How can I get an another vista disk to reboot my laptop

    Hi all

I had a system crash about a year because of a virus and a friend wiped my laptop and installed xp saying it was better than vista.

However, I had nothing but bother with him for about 6 months now, it's just doesn't work the same and of course I can't update the system either.

I hunted for the vista disk provided with the laptop but I can not find them anywhere and it will cost me a small fortune for a store to reinstall vista for me even if I have my product key.

Is there anyway that I can get this disk from toshiba or Microsoft to reinstall?

    Thank you

    Hello

One thing to check is the following.

Open windows control panel, open Windows Update, select "View update history" in the left pane and then select "Installed updates" link in the next window.

Locate the KB2962407 update, right click and choose uninstall.  Once completed, restart the computer, open windows control panel, open Windows Update and select "Check for updates".  You will see the update that you have uninstalled just offered once again - right click and select "Hide update".

When windows has reloaded, you may or may not need to use the Recovery Manager to reinstall your original Audio driver as it is stated in the document at the link below.

  • I downloaded the same program 3 x today, rebooted my laptop... can't program here. Why?

Windows XP, computer older laptop was acting strangely.  I can download a program; the program works.  Turn off the laptop and no longer have the program.
    Why?

    Where is stored the program?

If you have a corrupted user profile, and then whenever you log on, Windows creates a new, temporary profile.  When you disconnect, the temporary profile is deleted and any files you have stored in this profile during this session.  The 'profile' would generally include files stored in C:\Documents and Settings\. (Including in 'My Documents')  A test for this condition would be to open a session as long as different user (create a new user if you have only one).  If this problem does not exist when logged in as a different user, can suspect a corrupted user profile.  Recovery is not too difficult.  Choose among the following:

"How to recover damaged Windows XP user profile"

"Windows XP problems if your profile is corrupted"

"How to copy data from a corrupted to a new profile in Windows XP user profile"

Corrupt profiles are almost always accompanied, if not caused, damaged drive.  After recovery, perform an operation of "chkdsk" with the /F or/r option to check a file system of the damaged disc.

"How to perform disk error in Windows XP check"

Another possibility is that Windows 'Steady State' has been installed on your machine.  If this is the new behavior, then this is unlikely.

    Hello

If a PC remove all power to the system:

Check and reinstall the cards, memory and actually delete and replace - cables (at both ends) are not
just tight. Memory could be the problem, so if you have more than 1 stick swap them in and out of
see if the problem follows a stick or try the new memory.

  • Reboot hp laptop friends g61

can I use the system disks I bought with my hp g61 laptop, restart / reinstall / recover the computer laptop hp g61 of my friend? is there a problem with the product key? Thank you

If they are the same g61 model numbers, then Yes you can.  With regard to the product key from the recovery media uses a generic HP product key and you should not need to enter a key.  If it does not prompt you to a key, you must use your product key from friends.

  • Reset time: each reboot the laptop, the exact time is displayed. Towards the end of the reboot process, time passes before 2 or 3 hours.

The date still remains correct. In the summer, I recall is that time jumps before 2 hours; in the winter of 3 hours. I used this laptop in Arizona, which does not use DST. A clue?

Hi Whitewind. If you left click on the time at the bottom right, it will bring up a menu. Select change the date and time. Click on it then go to the time of the internet on the tabs, then click on change settings. Uncheck synchronize with internet time. Set the right time and it should remain. It can be when windows has been implemented the incorrect time zone has been selected.

This probably sounds silly and is probably fixed easily, but I can't defragment my hard drive.  There is no program or whatever it is in my file system tools, nor my administrative tools in the control panel.  Had to restart the whole system thanks to the old anti-virus hogging my entire memory, and now it's gone!

  • Windows 8.1 automatically rebooted my laptop to install

Update: Phew... 8.1 seems to have installed correctly and I didn't not lose all the files. If the worst is that it looks a bit different and some of my apps has rearranged... I'll take it. Don't always know how the update got activated or why it does not give me the choice if I wanted to continue or not.

My Windows 8 just portable execution automatically restarted my computer to be able to install 8.1 and I never do anything that happen (that I know). The other day I noticed an update available in my store, so clicked on the application and in the upper right corner, he said something like "8.1 available Windows install...". "I close out of the app Store that I didn't update. Well, a few hours ago, I get this notification that tells me my computer will update and restart and it gave me options of time when I wished to recall. I clicked on four hours thinking it would give me just another reminder to update. But 4 hours later, I get a notification window saying that my computer will restart in 15 minutes and save any work. Then it restarts just to install 8.1. Was stuck at 82% for nearly 10 minutes before moving on to the next step.

In those 15 minutes, I tried to find a way to stop it to move automatically, but couldn't find a way. I saw I had a bunch of Windows updates available and now I'm worried because I saw something making sure updates have been installed and things have been saved. I didn't have the time to do all this. I wasn't on my computer for the majority of these 4 hours.

No explanation as to why/how this happened would be appreciated.

    Thank you
