Recommendations for the power supply of the inverter of supply for an iMac 27 "SSD (1 TB) 2015?

I heard that SSDS are vulnerable to data loss / corruption in irregular situation (surges, outages, etc.) and that a UPS is strongly recommended. No one knows what might work best for an iMac 27 "2015 (late) with 1 TB SSD? Amazon best sellers are quite disparate. No. 1 is perhaps not strong enough. N ° 4 seems not to have the OS X compatible software. Being new to this kind of material I don't know what to look for and what would be better for my machine.  It seems consume 240 W max.

In this regard: I read that store a SSD in hot weather can ruin the drive (or some dr. I considered turning off my computer when I'm away for the summer (in a non air-conditioned office which heat sometimes). I better let him run (sleeping)?

Thanks in advance.

A UPS is recommended as soon as you have an irregular situation. It does not matter if you have a hard drive, SSD, or something else.

240W is the max for the whole iMac.

Not sure where you hear your horror stories about SSD.

    Hello

Your choice for a power supply will fit, but he does not meet the requirements system AMD which is 400 watts.

The ASUS AMD 6670 that you referenced to adjust, but it is always better to open your PC control and measurement.

This Corsair CX430 meeting the recommended minimum AMD power supply wattage size and it's actually a bit cheaper because of the available discount and delivery costs.  All the amperage 12 Volt is on a rail, so you won't have to worry about 12 volt rail for balancing.

  • Pavilion HPE h8xt power supply concern

I'm considering buying a new HPE h8xt, specifically this one.  I also want to add a 120 GB SSD and I fear the standard 300W power supply will not be sufficient.  I know an SSD does not a lot of power but the computer seems already sorely in motorized with 16 GB of RAM, Blu - Ray, 1 GB DDR3 1 TB HDD and AMD Radeon HD 7570.

Can you make a recommendation? I talked to HP support and they said that was enough, but I find that hard to believe.  I don't want food dying on me after 6 months because it is more work. Also, it would void the warranty on the power supply if I add an SSD?  I can see HP being a pain on this one.

    Hello

Great choice for an upgrade of the power supply with the Corsair CX500. Yes it fits the case and it has lots of power for larger video cards if you decide to upgrade to a video card more great.

For the same price, you might want to consider this SSD 830 of Samsung. It has a high rating in a couple of recent magazine articles.  The OCZ Vertex III who I use were noted in magazines of same last year.  I have no opinion on the Kingston SSD.  Revise the rates of I/O that choose your SSD. All three appear to be close.

What would I do? I'm pretty handy to autour material exchange and migration of images.

  • HP ENVY PHOENIX CTO 810-135QE - 600 watts power supply Question

In the near future, I would like to upgrade the video card in my desktop HP ENVY PHOENIX CTO 135QE-810 GT 640 default to something a little more powerful and I was wondering if there is any details about the default 600 watts power that will help me in my decision to the next video card.

I know that some video cards require a number of amps on the 12 volt rail and all the information that I have found previously on the power of 600 watts power supply in the computer is not in that kind of detail.

What I read, the power is a Petrus 600W e-star 5.0 Bronze, HP Part number 633186-002.

Any additional details and details on this power to help me determine the next video card would be useful.

On a side note the video card, I'm currently doing is one of the next Nvidia GTX 750 TI models, thoughts and recommendations on this specific map?

    Thank you

    Hello

Your PC has UEFI bios, so most video cards should work.  Some video cards will work in UEFI mode and others in legacy mode, that your PC is able to run.

When the manufacturer of the video card and/or AMD or NVIDIA specify a minimum power supply size then it is best to stick to this recommendation.  Not all power supplies are built to the same standards of quality.  In addition the internal components, temperature, charges unknown and time that the PC will be placed under the maximum load are taken into account at the recommendation of minimum power supply is indicated.

I have not seen a power of 500 watts with 12v rating of 18A, but this does not mean that there is not. And if that's the case, then the total power rating is suspect. A video card that requires an external auxiliary power connector will also draw power from the PCI-E slot.

Are there cases where the minimum size of the power supply is insufficient? Yes, those who might be extreme but someone can have connected to power different connectors either to avoid buying a new power supply or maybe around just the food manufacturer minimum power rating. Some may do it thinking 'I'm going on fox the Fox ". It can work, but maybe the questions later start occurred.  I prefer to get the job done right the first time. You don't need a power supply to perhaps of overload and short circuit then internally causing spikes to the components in the PC.

  • HP Envy 750-116: can anyone recommend an upgrade of the power supply for HP Envy 750-116?

I have a HP Envy Office 750-116 and need to replace the power supply 300W with an upgrade to a more powerful.

I was look at is CORSAIR CXM CX550M 550W 80 PLUS BRONZE or the EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2 80 series. I have kniow that they are all two excellent PSU.

My concern is with the connector that the 750-116 uses to the optical drive. Looks like the kind of connector you see go to a laptop, DVD player. (It of really small and is marked P5)  I have a spare part HP 460W PSU I could use, but it is not a connector that would work. So I hesitate to buy Corsair or the EVGA without knowing if I'll be able to plug into this weird DVD connector in the HP Envy.

Someone out there has run into that and find an answer?

Optical drives are still a thing? Wow! Any ways OP. On these new machines. HP uses a slim with an owner drive

Connector for it. You won't find it on the other PSU. You will have to abandon the drive if you replace the stock PSU.

  • The 460W power supply will be sufficient for the GTX 1070?

Just place an order for a R5 with an i7, GTX 1070 and a diet of 460W.

I'm not going for the largest power supply, because I'm not a fan and do not upgrade components.  If the configuration of Dell said 460 page might work, I saw that he needed to upgrade the PSU. I preferred using the extra $100 for the video card rather than the 970-1070.

Now, reading around forums, I continue to see comments that the recommended food for a GTX 1070 is 600 Watts (by guru3d.com).

I still have time to cancel the order because it is very recent.  Do I need to worry about this power supply?  How would I know if it is not sufficient for use?  The frame rate would be low, or the stability of the system would show signs?

    Hello

Yes, the 460W will work well if is unique. Check the image below and let me know if you need anything else:

    MBD, welcome to the forum.

The video slot is a PCI Express x 16.  You should not buy a video card that is larger than 8 "long.  Otherwise, it should not be in space.  I like XFX, BFG, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.

I like the OCZ and Corsair PSU.  They are very good manufacturers.  Their products will provide a clean and stable power supply for your system.  I suggest to measure the existing PSU and comparing them to the one you choose.  This will eliminate the purchase of a power supply that does not fit in the space.

Please let us know if this solved your problem or not.

  • The upgrade of the power supply for a HP Pavilion 500-054

    Hey people,

I'm changing the 500-054 flag so that it can play a few games, not a hardcore gamer, just want to be able to play the occasional game. I want to get a lower end external video card, but this requires a power supply greater than 300. I am looking for a new power supply for my computer, but I couldn't find one for the 500-074. Are the ones that will work for my computer or I am a hopeless case?

    Thank you

A standard ATX power supply will work. Please look at the Corsair CX430, CX500, CX600, or their variations of modular cables for your needs.

  • Questions about the replacement of a power supply for a P7-1235

I decided to do an update on my Pavilion P7-1235. I put in a graphics card and put in power level. After doing some research on this forum and others I know well enough that I need. The only question I have is about the food. I don't know what the original power supply. There is a vent on the side where it however. So I guess that there is a fan on this side of the power supply. This eating plan I get:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139050 & TPK = % 20500% 20% 20modular %2 watt Corsair...

I noticed that the fan is on top? Now there is no high ventilation in my P7-1235, I worry for nothing? I think that all the supplys to look the same. What is the top of the fan page for? Or can anyone suggest a replacement perfect for my exact Pavilion model?

Sorry if the questions are stupid, but I'm still learning and want to do what I can myself!

    Hello

Yes, you can use the power supply the same way. The image is in a vertical position for the convience of the buyer. I have the same with number of power supplies and it was fine. You can check the following links people have set up exact POWER supply in different ways.

    http://pcpartpicker.com/builds/by_part/Corsair-power-supply-cx500m

    However, please be aware of your power supply size and your case. If you have all materials/components in stock for your computer, then it is what it is;

    ATX case:

    : Height 39.4 (15.55 inches)

    Width: 17.5 cm (6.89 in)

    Depth: 40.9 cm (16,14 inches)

    PSU stock:

    (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches)

    And the power supply you want;

    Corsair size;

    "5.9"x 3.4"x 6.3"

As you can see the length of the Corsair is considerably larger than your stock of power supply. This could hampor of air or could even make it so the holes of the PSU and the case does not match. However, this is usually not what worry. The height and width that should be worried because the length rarely causes problems, I wanted to just make sure that you knew in advance.

Take advantage of your power supply; Corsair is a great brand.

  • Power supply for use in the UNITED Arab Emirates

    Hello

I just bought a Time Capsule of the airport and an Apple TV (4th gen).  I'm moving to Dubai for work and I intend to take with me.  I can't find out how to replace the power supply for use in Dubai (plug type G).

    • Can I just buy a travel voltage converter?
    • What is the frequency difference (US is 60 Hz and UNITED Arab Emirates is of 50 Hz)?
    • Could I just buy a 'EnergyPal travel Charging Station ETCS04' and connect directly?

    Thanks for any help!

The airport Time Capsule and the Apple TV work on 100-240 Volts and 50/60 Hz automatically, so they'll work pretty much anywhere in the world if you have the map of the right ankle.  A voltage converter is NOT necessary.

You can buy the cards you need to any store from the airport, luggage, in Dubai store, etc., most of the hotels the.  If I remember correctly, Dubai uses the same type of plug that she used in the United Kingdom, as well as should work as well.

    http://www.Amazon.com/Ceptics-grounded-Universal-Plug-adapter/DP/B0080R95XI/ref= sr_1_1? ie = UTF8 & qid = 1455557366 & sr = 8-1 & key...

I do not think that the higher 5 GHz channels are permitted in Dubai, so be sure to put the time Capsule to use a lower numbered GHz 5 channel... 36, 40, 44 or 48.

  • I have a p6210f (Win 7), that does not illuminate. As recommended, I tried a new power supply with the same results.

In my post in November, I explained that I had tested the power supply with a multimeter and read the correct voltage. Two people to the Board of Directors always seem to think it was the power supply, so I replaced it with a new one (Corsair CX 430 R) and it still won't turn. I had suspected the power switch because when I bypass the MOBO 20 pin plug 'on', the power led lights up, fans have come on short and I heard the rotation of the disk. I also tried to troubleshoot the switch by jumpering the pins on the motherboard, but still no luck. Someone there ideas more before I replace the card MOTHER and CPU? Thanks in advance.

    Cloud_strider,

Thanks for the reply. After swapping the PSU, CPU, taking the RAM pins on jumping on the MOBO for power/LED/reset button, each separately and with the same result, I eventually swapped the MOBO to an ASRock A785GM - THE and who did! He finally put under tension. Thanks again.

  • Improvement of the power supply for laptop

The danger is that if the power supply cable is knocked out, the circuit board is broken.

The connection of the laptop must be a cone. It could set magnetically or by using snaps.

The laptop having a female cone and cord fitted with a male when cone struck with sufficient force should simply detach without damaging the laptop.

Apple has already patented such a design and Microsoft use a variant of it for the shelf on the Surface.
