recordable discs erasing

How do I erase a disc I recorded on already.

What is a CR - R or DVD-R?

Or CD - RW or DVD - RW?

If he has only the R on it and not RW, you cannot delete it. Bruce Hagen MS - MVP [Mail]

    Hello

If the DVD or the DVD? If all the drive might have a problem.

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

If the burn is a burning question at slower speeds, or by using the master could help. A
    CD/DVD cleaner might help.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.

  • Help with maxage / limiting the use of the default recording disc

    I have 2 related questions:

    (1) is it possible using the - XX: StartFlightRecording and/or XX:FlightRecorderOptions causes of flight recording to keep only last minute value of N to the details on disk, so that everything no matter how much one can view data about the last minutes worth of activity N?  How?

2), which is the maxage parameter supposed to effect?  Reading http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/technotes/tools/solaris/java.html it seems that it is supposed to do the above, but I couldn't see any difference in behavior with any of these args, and in particular, each of them continues fill ed. / tmp with .jfc files well beyond the limit of maxage.

    No maxage:-XX: + UnlockCommercialFeatures - XX: + FlightRecorder - XX: FlightRecorderOptions = defaultrecording = false, dumponexit = true, dumponexitpath = / tmp, loglevel = trace

    Maxage on StartFlightRecording:-XX: + UnlockCommercialFeatures - XX: + FlightRecorder - XX: StartFlightRecording =maxage = 1 m - XX: FlightRecorderOptions = defaultrecording = false dumponexit = true, dumponexitpath = / tmp, loglevel = trace

    THX,

    Chris

    (1) Yes, by using the maxage parameter. But it only works if drive = true, if you have a repository of disk, if you do not specify maxage/maxsize and defined only disk = true, the JVM will set default values, if you use defaultrecording = true. If you want infinite, set maxsize = 0, maxage = 0 to override the defaults.

    (2) the maxage/maxsize parameters thresholds at which the JVM will begin to remove the registration from the repository of the disc. Because it would be costly check each written event thresholds, thresholds are checked only when a new piece of record is created, which is on each 12-15 Mb (depending on how much the data exist in thread pads when they are empty) so with a short maxage, like 1 minute, he may not have sufficient data to trigger the removal of pieces.

    Hi fridgeyeti,

Why you have installed different burning software? Usually a single program is sufficient and that the previous user wrote at the end, nothing works if you install programs so much. It of also advisable to install a single antivirus only and not more.

In your case I remove all burning software and install the latest version of your favorite program, but before installing it, run Ccleaner which s a freeware cleaning tool.

Also remove the upper and lower filters in the registry as described here:

NoteYou can use Windows to burn a data disc, which is useful for storing, archiving, and sharing files among different computers. If you want to make a disc that will play in a music or video player, you should burn the disc using a video program or music.

    • To burn a disc to ISO image, you will need free space on your hard disk equal to the capacity of the disk. For a typical CD, it is approximately 650 megabytes (MB).
    • If you select the files to burn but decide not to copy the files on disk, you can delete the temporary files to recover hard disk space. To remove the files, open the disc folder, select the files, and then, in the toolbar, click delete temporary files.

  • Satellite L505 - it come with disc of Windows 7 64 bit or 32 bit?

I had a computer Satellite L505 with * preinstalled * version Windows 7 64-bit and a 32-bit product recovery disc. I didn't create a backup of a 64-bit version and reinstalled the system since the provided 32-bit recovery disc erase my HD. However, I would like to reinstall the verision of 64-bit Windows 7. I know I can order a backup media on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/ but it says not version (64-bit or 32-bit) wich are mailed directly to me.

If I check the description of the model on the Toshiba page, it says that it comes with the 64-bit version and includes the 32-bit recovery disc. This description still leaves me a question what backup media I'd get Toshiba. I have to be sure that I get the 64-bit WIndows 7 until I have order a.

I'd appreciate a confimation. Thank you!

    Hey Buddy,

I think everything is ok and there is no open question. The description on the Toshiba site says it all: the laptop comes with the 64-bit Windows 7 version, which means that this version is preinstalled on your computer. Additional, you get a version 32-bit on a recovery disc and that s all!

So you didn't burn the 64-bit recovery disc, which means you must order a new one from Toshiba. I guess you will get versions then 32-bit and 64-bit.
