Recover log.0000000001

I am able to retrieve using log.0000000001 disaster recovery:

"db_recover - c".

But when I try to retrieve using the DB_ENV-> open (.), only the _db.001, the files are recovered, but not the file log.00000001.

I use DB_ENV-> open (.) with flags DB_CREATE | DB_INIT_TXN | DB_RECOVER_FATAL.

5.3.21 - db running

If the log files are missing, you can really run catastrophic recovery.   Newspapers which files are missing, you can only restore to the point of missing log file and not beyond.    Usually a catastrophic recovery will start from a valid backup well know.

  • recover database until time - do not recover as expected

    Hello

    We have an Oracle 9i db (9208) running on AIX.

    We had a problem and allowed to restore all dbf files and control of the backup of the night on the server by replacing the currently damaged system.

    Once this is done, we opened then the DB in order to check some things.

    Once done we then closed and mounted and issued the «recover database until time...» "command.

    Logs archiving we need are in the location default archive. They cover the period just before the files restored until the moment that we need the DB found.

    However, when you run the recover log alerts just shows

    «ALTER DATABASE RECOVER database until time ' 2010-08 - 11:16:30:00'»»
    Mon Aug 16 14:33:57 2010
    Start of recovery Media
    Recovery media not required.

    Can someone tell us why the recover command is not the files of newspapers in the Archives until we are specifying. It doesn't look like its even looking at them.

    The command runs in less than a second.

    Is it because we opened the DB between the restoration and the recovery so his already written a journal of latest checking in the file, so the PB think its already up to date?

    Since you opened the database and media recovery finished, he will get no more. Is why he mentions "Media Recovery is not necessary. If you want to start the recovery media up to the hour, and then start a new restoration and then recover.

  • How can I purge transaction logs files?

    I have a transactional database (i.e., created by using the db. DB_CREATE | DB. DB_INIT_TXN | DB. DB_INIT_LOCK | DB. DB_INIT_LOG | DB. DB_INIT_MPOOL flags) which also generates a file log.0000000001 as part of its operation.

    The log file exceeds the limit of 10 MB by default recently, and I saw this error: ' Region of logging out of memory»

    While it was easy enough to fix (temporarily) by setting the variable configuration set_lg_regionmax for a larger number, is it possible to purge just the file log.0000000001 to something significantly less than 10 MB?

    In my PB, I don't have a history longer than the previous transaction, so no logging more is superfluous.

    Hello

    Yes, by using the DB_LOG_AUTO_REMOVE flag with the log_set_config of the environment
    method automatically deletes log files that are no longer needed. Another suggestion is to take a look at the method of log_archive environment with the DB_ARCH_REMOVE flag, which also removes log files that are no longer needed. It is documented at:

  • Newspapers of LDAP data using entire disk?

    Hi all

    Last week, my Mac OS X 10.11.2 running Server 5.0.15 was dangerously near full and now he declare 'Zero bytes available.

    Using OmniDiskSweeper, I was able to identify about 21 000 files named log.0000000001 through log.0000021329 taking about 235 GB located at the following location:

    / private/var/db/openldap/data /.

    WOW! Something tells me that I have all that, especially since it is a stifling of the machine, but I thought I would ask here first:

    1. can I safely delete these files? Do I really need?

    2. How can I identify what is causing these logs to be created and stored? It is not normal or expected activity, is it?

    Thank you very much

    Willhaus

    Then, I moved and remove the vast majority of these files, because I don't see why I would need them, and the server keeps do new all few minutes or a few hours, so I'm having a lot of replacements soon enough.

    But still, can someone help me understand what is what in fact occur and how to stop it?

    Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I also noticed that there is an about 25 GB of files here:

    /private/var/db/OpenLDAP/migration/oldsystem.tar

    It was created on the same day 10/10/15, which comes from the grip of these files newspapers of thugs. Y at - it possibly a link there?

    I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to these things, so that any help would be welcome.

    Thank you

  • Datalogger with options to recover the subset of the log based on the time

    I want to thank this forum for tips so far to fill my LabVIEW software.

    I have a challenge for data logging. I'm supposed to sign about 30 settings every 5 seconds. Some of these parameters are digital (ON / OFF), some are the values of the speed (RPM) and others, the expression of a percentage (%). It should be possible in the future to do a histogram or graph bar certain parameters, for a specific period range field (say the last 5 minutes in a given day). So, indeed, do a checkout from a segment of the total log file.

    My challenge is if I use the text file, as that of the attached VI, can provide the functionality of the data recovery (while the VI is running) in the log file, based on a certain time interval (i.e. recover a section of the log file based on a certain range of time, on demand)?

    The format of the text file is close to what I'm asking, because it lists the time n a column and the other parameters on other columns to enable the next generation of histogram.

    Thank you, friends.

    Hey Maxidivine

    I made a parallel loop in your program that won't ask you a file to search for and request to start and finish datestamp.
    These stamps must be present in the text file before you click on the button Get Data From File.

    The data buffers are accurate to one second, but if I understand correctly you connect every 5 seconds and the program will be
    Auto extend the search to find the next available date corresponding.

    If you set the time of acquisition to 8 seconds, the program will look for the available timestamp in the file text 16 seconds after the entry is necessary, because there is not a date stamp in the file for each second.

    I would like to know if this helps.

    2. Take bacup of your curent control file using copy/paste of your OS
    3. Issue following command in mount state
    recover database until cancel using backup controlfile
    4. When it finishes applying available archived logs, still it will ask for the location of archived logs which have not been applied, here provide path of current redo log file you got in first step. Here your recovery will finish after applying current redo log

    After the resumption, blogger issues
    select * from v$logfile;
    and the result obtained some log files. The rows returned are restored files redo log. right? Redo of RMAN backup and restore log files?

    Redo of RMAN backup and restore log files?

    N ° never. Even when you do a 'coherent' backup (i.e. with the database MOUNT but the mode is not OPEN).

    When you restore a full RMAN on a new server backup, RMAN restore REDO LOG files in the respective directories

    Does not apply because RMAN does not save logs in restoration online.

    Isn't better to manually create redo log files after restoration

    When you perform incomplete recovery, you must issue an ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS.
    The RESETLOGS creates log files remake it, if they are not present OR reset them if they are present.
    In a scenario of complete restoration, the online redo log files are already present on the drive (i.e. they are not lost or destroyed and they are not restored a backup).

    Regarding
    Hemant Joshi

    Published by: hem_Kec on 7 Sep 2008 09:07

    Hello

    It is actually quite easy.
    We knew that Oracle was looking for logsequence 1107. There is no archived log, it was deleted, or it has never generated. As you delete files, the 1st solution would be possible, BUT as there was only an instance crash so more old archived logs is not required for crash recovery. There is a need during the restoration of the old backup files, which is not our case.

    Thus, the missing log sequence has not been archived = > it is a redo log.
    To identify the required online redo log, we just to log query v$ as I suggest.

    Once the log identified file, we can recover it by specifying the redo log when you ask logsequence 1107.

    And it is on. We win! :)

  • Recover everything App Crash Log in client device

    Hello world

    I developed an application of game and because it is a 3D game, using a lot of resources of the device, it will crash / frozen in our device of players (customers), I need to know why.

    The problem is in the Passport, before releasing passport, our game works greatly to Z10, Z30, Q10, Z3 for more than half the year, but it is crash / frozen usually in the Passport.

    I had a camera, passport, if my game has a programming problem with a sure way to repeat, I can solve any problem of crash as soon as POSSIBLE, but he never accident / frozen in my passport test event if I played for a while.

    This problem has confused me for a long time...

    My question is this,

    1, is there a way to get crash log or system easily connect my device players (customers)? Do not need to install any token debugging and other environment in their PC. I knew only a few ways to get the shrimp log but not custom device.

    2, I found a ' BlackBerry Logging Tools software "in the settings of the device, it records something about mechine, but this is a binary format, the name like"bbswltLog... ". ", I can convert it into a format readable humman? How? Can I get the official BlackBerry developers help? I Googled that, but have not all useful messages.

    I remember old BB OS can use Alt + lglg to access the stack app crash information in any device, I expect an easy way even in the new system of BB10

  • Recover phone calls log position of the telephone Journal

    Hello

    I'm trying to retrieve the position of the PhoneCallLog, based on the name/number highlighted in the PhoneLog.

    If you click the green phone icon, you will see the whole phoneLog.  If you scroll down to the third entry and click on the trackball, BB will give you a list of possibilities with the entry of specified PhoneLog (for example calling NameInTheList, SMS NameInTheList, copy 5556666, set of ring tones, full Menu).

    If you move to the next (or previous entry in the PhoneLog), and if you click again on the track-ball, will list Exchange, based on the name of the person

    (for example calling AnotherNameInTheList, AnotherNameInTheList, copy 8889900 SMS, ringtones Set complete men)...

    I want to retrieve the name, but it's easy once found the position in the PhoneLog.

    Which is actually possible?

    Thank you in advance,

    Hi, Mark!

    I have already created the application that adds a MenuItem the phone log (it is added to the startup of the BB device).  So, when the phone device starts - up, I add the item menu, and when, in the log of phone calls and by clicking on one of the items in the log of phone calls, I get the menu item I want.

    However, I am not able get the name of the participant.

    Here is the code I use to do this:

    public Object execute (object context) {}
    If (context instanceof PhoneCallLog) {}
    _PhLog = (PhoneCallLog) context;
    PAP UiApplication = UiApplication.getUiApplication ();
    theApp.pushScreen (new TTelephoneCallScreen());
    theApp.requestForeground ();
    }
    Returns a null value.
    }

    Is this piece of code written in the right direction?

    Here instead of PhoneCallLog use something else?

    Or is that what you wanted to know what phone call log has been selected?

    When the comparison with the link you send me (which I've used in development - it seems that I was on a good path), I'm guessing that the essential line is

    _PhLog = (PhoneCallLog) context;

    I said like,

    Private Shared PhoneCallLog _PhLog

    If all this is correct, then it seems to me that the only thing I have to do is to create a constructor in the class that implements the screen.  Am I right, or...?

    Thank you for your help,

    Sincerely,

    Hrvoje

  • A standard user to log into the account has been deleted. How can I recover it?

    Connect user account deleted

    In an effort to remove a viral program, a standard user file was accidentally deleted. Now my grandson is unable to open a session. Administrator accounts are not affected. Only the standard user account.  How can I get the file back. No, this isn't in the trash

    I don't know if you understand. Miss him not the account, just the file system which allows me to log into it.  Administrators can connect but not standards users - the standard, same new.

    You don't say what happens when a newly created user cannot connect.
    If a newly created user cannot connect even when typing the password (which should be easy to test, for example 123456) then your accounts database is damaged. By using the restoration of the system to a point when new accounts still worked would solve the problem.
