Recover lost File_Access backup system

XP Home Edition: I don't have to re-record a word file I did hours of changes to, but even since I took my computer in for repairs that I got this message that floats to the top and told me I did a backup system. I can't understand how access only. Suggestions? Thank you!

Assuming that someone set up backup NT to do something for you without your knowledge * and * they chose to save more than just the State of the system * and * you saved the file you want to recover in the State you want to recover in to one of these backups occurred * and * there was enough space (or pension) not to crush the last backup with a new one that occurred after the backup that you really want) If it exists) has been done...

Click on start--> all programs--> Accessories--> System--> Backup Tools. The wizard backup or restore starts. Click "Advanced Mode". Click on the tab "restore and manage the media.

If you want to restore from a backup file, expand file, and then the file backup that you want. For example, expand Sauveg.bkf created on 02/09/2011 at 13:15 backup includes the date and time of the backup as part of the default file name.

Select the check boxes for the folders you want to restore. If you want to be more specific in your selections, double-click the folder you want, and then select the check boxes for the files or folders you want to restore.

In the restore from box files, use one of the following steps:

If you want to restore the files to the location where you saved the, click original location. Use this selection when you restore the entire computer.

If you want to restore one or more files to another location on the hard drive, click on another location. Type the location in the location box. Use this selection to prevent the restore operation to overwrite existing files on your computer.

If you want to restore one or more files in a single folder on the hard disk, click single folder. Type the location in the location box. This selection allows to separate from the rest of the files on the hard drive the restored files or folders. On the Tools menu, click Options.

Click the backup method to use when it restores a file that is already on the computer, and then click OK. Backup uses this selection to determine whether to replace an existing file only when it restores a file in a folder that contains the existing file. Click Start Restore.

In the restore confirmation prompt that appears, click OK. A restore in progress dialog box appears, and the restore operation starts. When the restore process is complete, click Close. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.

That is based on certain important assumptions that point to the fact that you should probably configure your own backups that you understand and control.

  • Recover lost key of Adobe Creative Suite CS5 Design Premium

After installing Microsoft security essentials, my install for cs3 files have disappeared. I can not find them anywhere even after installing cs3 on my desk, I still can't get back them. and I don't know where to look for the product key, to be able to install photoshop 3, which will allow you to install with product key.

    Unfortunately, you probably not luck.

Maybe before having re-installed the application, etc.--* maybe * something like Belarc Advisor (which you are welcome to install, run and check the results of the present moment) would have revealed the serial number of the applications installed - including CS3.  However, if you have recuilt the system or overwritten when the product key would be in the registry/etc - then this option is lost to you (except if you happen to keep images/backup system you can restore to-of course if you did, you probably would have just restored.)

Your "subscription" to Adobe was probably nothing more than your email stored with them.  Unless you had an account you could connect to in the past and you see all current license - that's all it was.  Just, you had an account and told them what products you owned and subscribed to a basic email "newsletter" centered around what belongs to you.

Now - you said you bought the disc (CD) for Adobe CS3 - the serial number would have been inside this package... So I guess that the package is lost?

The serial number is NOT stored on the CD - this is just the Setup files.  The installation files can be used with MANY different series numbers and would never know the difference, nor care.  Maintenance of the serial number, I fear, was totally in your hands.

I have not heard of the "known issue" that Microsoft Security Essentials to uninstall an application like Adobe CS3 and delete the serial number of the system completely.  Even if I had - I'd end up at the same point...

If you have purchased Adobe CS3 (one of the suites) and have the CD - you should have serial number too.  If you have lost your serial number - no matter HOW the system got into trouble or the installed version of Adobe CS3 has been lost (what would you do if the machine has been physically stolen?  The hard drive crashed?  There was a bolt of lightning and the destroyed machine?  Someone do you trust (or yourself) decided a new facility would help other questions and I forgot to check you have the serial number, first?) -C' is your responsibility to keep up with the installation media and the serial number of the Adobe product.  :-(

  • How to recover lost e-mails (partial) after compressing files

I use windows XP sps, three days ago, I made an oulook express process of compressiom files, after that a windows command prompt I was asked to do.

Unfortunately, some of the emails (Jan. 2011 - August 2011) was found missing in outmail storage file, after the file compression. I think they were

automatically removed during the compression of files. Although I found a backup (master) folder in the trash, I still can not return emails lost after running

recovery in the trash. Can someone help me recover lost emails?

For your information: until the compression of files - outmail storage folder size is approx. 1.2 GB / after compression: 827 MB

    Thank you

OE does not compress.  It compact, which means that it removes the space in the file.  This should be done regularly, otherwise it will be too fat and become corrupted, what happened to you.

See point 2 here: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2 and you can try to manually import the file bak (just give it another name - see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm).  If this does not help, then my DBXpress program (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/) may be able to recover lost messages.

  • Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit hangs during antivirus and backup system analysis

I have problems with my PC. Last night, before retiring for the night, I noticed that Microsoft Security Essentials icon is yellow and warning me that my computer was in danger and had not been scanned for viruses for awhile. Normally it is set to run automatically on a schedule, but it does not work if my computer is set to go to sleep after a period of inactivity (which is because I want to save energy). So I have to manually run the virus scan. I have it set to run a FULL scan and then went to bed. In the morning, I noticed that my computer has been completely closed. It would normally be asleep and she simply by moving my mouse wake up. I had to hit the power button on my PC to start upward. The warning message that Windows did not close properly displayed and gave me the boot options. I just booted normally. As the virus scan has been the last thing my computer did the night before, I decided to try to run a FULL scan again. It crashed my PC. I started again and tried a QUICK analysis, which worked well. I searched "Microsoft Security Essentials plant system" and found a recent instance with someone else, and after more detailed diagnosis, they determined that it was probably a failing hard drive or a bad memory. The recommendation was immediately back up their system of hard drive and replace it.

Before you run any Diagnostics to determine my culprit, I decided to start a backup system just to be safe. I ran Windows Backup and choose "Create a system image" and he has done on an external hard drive on a USB3 docking station. He got about 90% through the backup, then my system crashed. No error message, just a full stop.

Unfortunately, a not save the link to the original set of instructions to diagnose why the system crashed during the anti-virus scan.

Now I ask... What can I do to save my system if it crashes my computer?

    Hi Greg,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that the system hangs when a complete analysis of how MSE or backup system and I'll be happy to answer your query. This could be due to MSE not updated and that's why he showed the yellow icon. We will try the following methods and check.

Method 1: Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) update

For update to MSE, please see: How to manually download the latest Microsoft Security Essentials definition updates

Here are some methods that you can try in order to solve the problem.

Method 1: Perform the clean boot and check.

To help resolve the error message, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Please note: After troubleshooting, be sure to start your computer in normal mode by following step 3.

Method 2: Clean boot material and check.

    a. go to Start and type Device Manager in the start search field.
    b. type Device Managerand select Device Manager from the list programs.
    c. right click on the sound card, video card and NIC, one by one, then click on disable.
    c. restart the computer.

If it solves your problem, allow hardware devices that in time to find the exact device originally this problem. After you find the device that causes the problem you can solve by installing the latest driver or replacement of the device.

Method 3: Do restore the system from the Windows recovery environment and verify.

    What is system restore?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-system-restore

Important: System Restore will return all your files non-system as documents, email, music, etc., to a previous state. These files of types are completely affected by the restoration of the system. If it was your intention with this tool to recover a deleted file to non-system, try using a file instead of system restore recovery program.

If the problem persists, or you have questions about Windows, do not hesitate to let us know. It is our pleasure to be of service.
