Recovery of Satellite P200-13V - Check disc Add on message

Hi all

When I run the recovery disk product Toshiba 1/2, after a while, I get the message:

* "Check for disk add-on' *.

1/2 disk does not continue. Also the recovery disk 2/2 does not react. It seems that it is looking:

*E:\TOSHIBA\add-on\add-on.cmd*

I have really no idea what to do and kindly ask you to help.
It is of a Toshiba Satellite P200-13V, Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit

Hello

It seems that the data of the first disc can be read correctly.
Why? I think the recovery disc may be the fault or the CD/DVD drive lens can't read/handle disk possibly because the laser lens is dirty? I put t know

If you want you can try to clean the laser lens with cotton wool trick and liquid alcohol.
Then try using the disc of recovery once more.

Alternatively, you can try to copy the discs on another drive using different computers.
Perhaps the recovery disc copy runs correctly.

  • Recovery for Satellite P200 DVDs

Hello, I have a Satellite P200 12W computer and for some reason he couldn't start Windows correctly yesterday, I got a black screen. I decided to launch the recovery DVDs, he formatted the hard drive and then... could not copy all the files. It stops about 7 or 8% everytime I try, the DVD seems illegible.

I tried to buy a new one from the store, but he told me that the computer is too old or that I chose the wrong place.

Any idea to restart the computer?

    Thank you.

Satellite P200 is old model of laptop, and I imagine that you can not control the original Vista recovery disk.
As far as I know, and you can check, Satellite P200 is fully compatible to Win7 32-bit so I recommend you to install on your machine.

Last year, I sold my former P200D I used with Win7 32 bit and I can say that I was very pleased with the performance.
Get the Microsoft installation disc and install Win7. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download from the Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

If you have any questions or advice on installing Win7 you are welcome.

  • Question on drive recovery on Satellite P200-143

Okay, guys, I bought a Satellite P200-143 at the start, and I have to get it back today, just to get rid of all the junk on this subject and when that I start, press F12 and it's fine. When the small black screen appears and it says "progress [insert here the percentage]' he always sticks to 54%.» I think it's because the disc has scratches on it.

Does anyone know where I could download the installer of recovery of online? I am running Windows Vista by moving over it.

    Any help appreciated.

Unfortunately, you can not download the image of Toshiba of all Toshiba websites.
If you want to recover the laptop with the image, then you need to use the Toshiba Recovery CD.
If your CD-ROM is defective then you can order it from the ASP in your country. To my knowledge it s not expensive.
Talk to the technicians ASP and ask that compatible.

  • Unable to start installation of recovery on Satellite P200

I have a Toshiba Satellite P200 series. I need to reinstall windows vista because my system is not so stable (blue screen)
I tried to reinstall the OS (1.54 GB system partition) default but I'm not able to do.

I have not any CD or DVD media. On the PC there is no utulity to restore the system partition hiding 1.5Go.
Please could you give me a solution.

    Concerning

This title has nothing to do with the installation of the operating system and it isn't the Toshiba recovery partition. It of WinRE partition and belongs to the functionality of Vista.

Real recovery image is saved on the HARD disk on the second partition in the file called HDDRecovery.
You have this folder on the second partition of HARD drive?

Anyway, how to install the operating system from the HARD drive and without recovery DVD you can find on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm

    > How can I start all over with a fresh windows?
I put t know what do you mean with fresh windows but if you want to have the factory again settings you must install recovery image original Toshiba designed for your laptop model.
What you can do is to check if you can order it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

If this isn't the case, you can install own OS. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities for all operating systems supported, you can find on the download page of Toshiba - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

  • Satellite P200 - Parity Check / Memory Parity Error

    Hi all experts!

After updating a driver, I get this above mentioned message.
+ Message ' hardware malfunction NMI Parity Check / Memory Parity Error.

But just at the moment where the P200 falls in sleep mode. I can't wake up and have to do a hard reboot. Windows is starting and works perfectly and everything seems to be okay!

    Any idea?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

This behavior can occur if a hardware component malfunctions, or if it has installed the damaged or incompatible drivers.
I think that you should remove the driver updated or installed first.
If this does not work, test the laptop with preinstalled system cool.

Finally if this is insufficient, a hardware malfunction might be possible.
In this case the RAM modules need to be tested as the first part.

  • How update satellite P200 of 32-bit OS to 64-bit?

    Hello
How do I switch my laptop to a 32-bit to 64-bit?

You can't improve it. What you need is the 64-bit installation disk and the new installation of the operating system.
I assume that the image of recovery for Satellite P200 is 32-bit only. Right?

  • Satellite P200 - error when creating new recovery disc

I need to format my Satellite P200, but I have some difficulty. I lost the original disc that came with the laptop. I tried using the Recovery Disc Creator, but every time I run the application it I'm greeted by this error:

    An unexpected error has occurred.
Exit this application and start it again.
    (Error code: 0D00F6-26-00000001)

Have tried to reinstall, I just get the same error. What should I try next to the difficulty of the creator, or just the format differently?

    Hello

I'm not very well if the Satellite P200 was equipped with drive recovery procedure HARD but nevertheless it s m worth a try.

If the HDD recovery procedure is available on your P200, then you should see the Toshiba HDD recovery option in a new window as soon as you click on fix my computer.

Otherwise, you will need to order the Toshiba Recovery disk:

  • Recovery failed on Satellite P200

    Hello.

At the beginning I wanted to install WinXP on a Satellite P200 but then I read many things on the internet and which might be more difficult than I first thought.

Now, I only get it back with the RecoveryCD came with the laptop.

It s my cousin's laptop. It of a little slow and has a lot of garbage on this matter, we decided to update the system.
    But the Toshiba Recovery says:

    + Cheking HDD1 +.
    + HDD1 found! +
    + BIOS 0 is disk 0 +.
    + BIOS 1 is disc +.
+ ERROR: GETHDD get physical disk HARD failed! +

So I press a key, it says:

+ Waiting for ODD vacancies... +.

+ Check for support in the F: drive... +.
    + Continue... +.
+ Failed to initialize the raid class. +
    + No RAID - proceed normally... +.

    + X:\windows\system32>+

I'm not able to recover, but I have no idea why. I also Don t want to delete everything before making the recovery, cause I m afraid that nothing will work after that.
Notepad starts in Vista, but it is slow, as I have said before. Is there a chance the recovery work?

The CD is very good and has never used it before and it is also the original.

Thank you much for the help.
    Anna

    EDIT:
I forgot to say, I followed the instructions on the CD case. I restarted the computer and you press F12, and then I chose the DVD drive and then start the CD. But I have not tried on the running system of Vista, because everywhere I read it wrong.

    Hello

I read your ad three times over but now I m a bit confused

If you want to return to factory settings, you must only start since the Toshiba recovery disc. Before the disc begins to install the new OS the whole HARD disk will be wiped so before recovery you can install everything, also Linux, Vista or something else because it will be deleted.

So please follow the instructions on the CD case you have posted. I put t know where read you that isn't true, but in fact the drive erases the HARD disk and installs a new OS.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

  • Satellite P200-RT2 - need help with recovery

I made a Boo-Boo and need advice/help to get things fixed.

My husband has a Satellite P200-RT2 running Win XP 32 bit (included with Vista, but had been upgraded). The battery needs to be replaced, does not load and he made the mistake to disconnect while it was closing, but had not closed completely. Laptop computer would not start even in Safe Mode.

So, I thought to try to insert a disc Win XP Pro thought, he would work to restart the computer and start again. No, he took over and completely restructured the laptop. If great, now have Win XP Pro on it, but can not load all Toshiba drivers that I downloaded from the Toshiba site.

I was not in a position to know if there is a specific order to load the drivers... have been reading and wonder if the BIOS should be the first?

Needless to say that the Toshiba recovery software went on the P200-RT2, I can't find a separate drive that supposedly it contains, there are only two listed drives, drive C and D (for DVDs).

Toshiba tells me that Microsoft sells the recovery software, MS told me that Toshiba sells. There are sites online that have the recovery disc for Vista I could buy or download, but I'm not sure on those that are reliable/safe.

Have to mention that I have a Toshiba laptop latest (L675 - 40 X, Win 7) and have the recovery disc for it.

Is it possible to use these recovery disks for Toshiba software loaded on the old P200-RT2?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

If I could get the XPPro to work, which would leave as OS... but I don't know where to find the drivers.

    Satellite P200 - RT2 PSPB0C is a Canadian model.
But the same model was released in Europe under the model number:E PSPB0

  • Re: Satellite P200 - 1 FT fully formatted, recovery

    Hello Forum Toshiba,

    I have a problem with my laptop (Satellite P200 - 1 '). I hope you can help me :-)

I want to sell my laptop and so I wanted to completely remove my all data on the hard drive. I used a tool called dban (http://www.dban.org) and it worked fine. After formatting, I wanted to restore Windows Vista by using the Toshiba recovery disc.

The problem is: when I boot the recovery cd, I can choose the language and the system to be installed (Windows Vista), but then, there are two cmd Windows, which displays an error:

    http://S5.directupload.NET/images/080913/lmmgun9v.jpg

    http://S8.directupload.NET/images/080913/8i9cn9bz.jpg

I think that it was not a good idea to delete the partition X:\! ? And I think that there is a required Raid driver. Is this fair? What should I do now to recover Windows Vista?

    Please help me, thank you

    Hello

According to the error message in your first posting above (screenshots) disk HARD is not found because because the SATA driver is missing.
The laptop uses the SATA HDD controller and without a driver SATA HARD drive may not be recognized.

I put t how this 3rd part tool works, but the driver SATA is downloadable from the page of the Intel driver.
It s _Intel Manager_ of storage and the single SATA driver files located in the folder * 'F6flpy '. *

Is there a reverse this problem?
My thoughs is that the image is corrupt.

The error that you declare, is a fault with the Vista disk image cannot be applied to the hard drive.

Which you used 2 recovery discs of different product, which would indicate that there is not support for product recovery but a defective hard drive, possibly bad sectors on the hard disk.

If the laptop is in it duration of warranty, then give Toshiba a call for the book on deposit for a repair of the equipment.

  • The recovery disk reformatted TWO hard disks on Satellite P200?

    Hello

My Satellite P200 has two hard drives.
When I use the recovery disc, it reformatted both drives or only one where Vista will be? I chose the first option, by the way.
Thank you, in advance, for your help.

If you choose the first option in recovery then it reformatted only the first HARD drive and it will consider the other HDD as additional storage space, as if it were a memory stick. When you get to the point of recover where you choose the operating system to install, it takes an option for settings or Expert mode. In one of them, I think that you can configure recovery and set up partitions.

If you want the operating system must be installed on both drives HARD, which is a bit useless, you have to remove one then do the reocvery on the other and then replace the retrieved by another and then to perform the recovery on that one. The only thing that I think this will mess up to comes from the computer won't know what MBR (Master Boot Record) to load, but if this isn't a problem then you can do what I just mentioned.

    I hope this helps.

  • Satellite L550D-13V - how to recover without recovery disks?

    Hello

I had a big problem. Win 7 Home Premium 64 BIT crashed on my satellite L550D-13V.

I tried to fix it, but it does not work. So I decided to recover via HARD disk utility.
Everything seems to be okay, but ultimately the tool said that errors have occurred. I tried to get it back again, but the process aborted with blue screen "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" this time.

After reboot system told me that no bootmgr is available. I tried to start using the recovery disk, but it also seems to be defective because the system cannot boot from the disks.

And there is my problem. I cannot start / retrieve now. Volume D seems to be OK - the HARD disk utility files are still available, but I can't create a new recovery disks and it is not possible to start in disk utility.

    You have any ideas?

Thanks in advance and best regards
    Danny

    Hello

    The story is strange
I m wondering why you are not able to boot from the recovery disc?
Have you used the recovery disk created in the past or have you tried this drive for the first time?

However, with regard to the error message: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
I googled for that and it sounds like it could be linked to the fault memory.
Perhaps one of the failures modules.

Of course, this is just a personal opinion

If a HARD drive folder is available on your HARD drive, then there is a small chance of getting the recovery of HARD drive to work. Here's an interesting thread:
