Referencing non-event source enum
Hi all
I want to take three dynamic stream of a triaxial accelerometer and reorganize who is x, y and z, based on overall accelerometer orientation so that the global axes remain the same, i.e. If I reposition the accelerometer so that its tip axis now in the global sense, 'z', ' y', I want that data to be bound to the z wire so that saved data is consistent. In the past, I just changed the name of the file, but this solution is quite clumsy, and I already know how this is not interesting.
I have yet not done anything achievable, because I'm just confused so no example VI unfortunately. All I have is three emuns labeled x, y and z, each with x, y and z components of choice, as below:
For example, I put the x enum item in there. I want the item there should be disabled for enums y and z, and I want the input data x to link to the output data stream there. If I choose a second and then the third element enum is forced. It sounds simple and I could do in order using the nested structures case but it's not very flexible at all. I had a go with a structure of the event, but I can't find a way of disabling items in two enumerations that are not the source of the event, and then I have to return the actual stream. I thought the elements should be disabled in a table and using a FGV within a structure of the case, but I found myself with some problems regardless of how I approached it.
I'm not necessarily looking for complete solutions, but it would be good to have some fresh insight and ideas so that I can have a go myself.
Thanks in advance!

Hi idt.
I think you have misunderstood the table that you are inputing in the disabled items property. The disabled items property disables the values that are the indices of the table you fed into it. As you have supplied an initial array of 3 you select the 0th element, which is in this case, 0 x three times and turn it off. If you remove the constant matrix on the left of your loop, this will be illustrated by the fact x should no longer be disabled when executing your VI
Kind regards

Edit event managed by this case in LabVIEW 2013 shows not specifiers of the event, Event Sources and events on screen resolution 800 x 600.
As far as I know, the list of supported resolutions is determined solely by the graphics card. It is possible that one used by the PC supports only 800 x 600 as maximum resolution, even if you plug an external monitor.
Like Dennis suggested, the recommended option would probably be to develop on another PC and only deploy an executable for the industrial PC. That's what we do with our systems (although not because of this problem, but because it makes sense. There absolutely no need to have the IDE installed in most of our systems).
Other options:
- See if you can get an update of the driver from the manufacturer to solve this problem.
- Plug a USB Monitor with its own driver.
- Try to hide the taskbar and make the smaller title bar in the hope that the bug manifests.
- Try remote access in the PC. I think that some remote access programs allow you to specify custom resolutions that are not affected by the original drivers. Remote Desktop seems to be a likely this option even if it has been awhile since I've used it.
- Check the BIOS. I saw at least one industrial PC where there was some settings in the BIOS to control the resolution, but I don't remember the details, and it was quite limited. I think that in this case, you can change the resolution, but then the image does not fill the entire screen.

java.lang.RuntimeException:pushModalScreen called by a thread of non-event
I am trying to alert the message using Dialog.alert (). The following exception comes
java.lang.RuntimeExceptionushModalScreen called by a thread of non-event
When this error comes and what scenario?
Thank you
Bala
you don't know. You can find the details in the developer's guide.
However a short explanation:
all user interface work is performed in a separate thread, the thread of the event.
If you do something in the user interface, for example in the display method, the instance is already on the thread of the event.
If you do something outdoors, for example in a separate thread, you must place your changes on the thread of the event.
only the thread the event is allowed to change the user interface. -

I get this error message: Windows operating system; Version: 6.1.7600.16385; Event ID: 1515; Event source: Service with event ID 1511 Microsoft-Windows-user profiles. I tried to find a solution but have not been able to find something with this specific question. I am currently connected with a temp file but will lose any information when disconnected. I am the only user on this computer. Recently, I replaced my card motherboard and CPU and reactivated windows by phone. Thanks for any help.
Yes, Mr President, I think that's how I got the profiles of other users in my registry. I knew that when I replaced my motherboard there is a chance that I have to reinstall my operating system. I was happy when I was not at, but after trying to correct the mistakes, I bit the bullit and reinstalled.

I get many (a few seconds) the event logs and find my pc won't start, or takes a long time, I have just bought two weeks ago. I looked towards the top of the event id, says reset for device 0 raid port.
What is the problem? His windows 7 64 bit card mother msi, 4 GB of ram. 1 gig dedicated ati radeon 4650 e pci 16 graphics card. There is no new firmware available from nvidia motherboard, I have th elatest. I restored my system, and it seems to start ok now, but I'm still getting this event, 33 000 of them, log in 5 days. It began on 4/16. Can I use the dvd system and reinstall windows 7? IM so frustrated, I have an old hp 560 w, he ran as a champion for 9 years, children use now, never had no problem I pay top dollar for agaming system, and having problems during the weeks served. I did some research before buying for several weeks. He has rave reviews, I thought I got the tone righ, I guess not. Please advise if you can.

Hello
I have a situation where I need to know all my upcoming events to the CEP. If no missing event found during the x window, I need to generate an exception report/alert.
For example, let's say that I expect 3 events (has, B and C) for a particular customer 123 (key). they arrive at times different (A1, B1, and C1) within the period of 4 hours. If I have not received event A and B, I can't treat the transaction until I get C. When I arrive at 4 hours, I need to generate an alert that the 123 customer has some problems because the event C is not come at all.
Is there a way to detect an event missing in PART? Maybe if I can create an internal timer event to query the cache for the event missing in a particular window. Is there such a timer event?
Thank you all,
BrandonHi Brandon,.
(1) regarding "Apparently not out matches in 10 sec itself, unless there is another event coming after", a heart-timeout pace has been configured on the channel "FilteredChannel" in the config file?
FilteredChannel 500000000 --- 500 millis(2) regarding "missed some events as well and don't know closer to the window has expired", maybe your use case requires the clause of all MATCHES.
select T.customerId from FilteredChannel MATCH_RECOGNIZE ( MEASURES A.customerId as customerId ALL MATCHES include timer events PATTERN(A B*) duration 10 DEFINE A as A.customerId > 0, B as B.customerId != A.customerId ) as T

How to use a switch connected to the DAQ card as a source of events in a Structure of the event
Is easy using a switch on the front panel as a source of events. However, I like to use an external switch electrician on my card for the acquisition of data (NI PCI-6229) as the event source in the Structure of the event. Can anyone help?
Happy New year to you too!
Attached is an example in BT 8.5
- It uses the time-out loop (running every 100ms) to simulate your reading of the data acquisition card.
- A shift register is used to keep track of the previous value of the switch.
- When a change of the switch is detected, the user event is raised and the display will show the new State.
Running the vi with activated highlight performance can be useful.

Configure SNMP source for the events of HW for IPMI sensors
Us run Dell hardware and tested OMSA installed on ESXi5 hosts pointing to OpenManage (OME) Essentials for any interruptions SNMP. As indicated in the following Dell FAQ for OME the 9.5 troubleshooting section, to avoid massive amounts of alerts unknown on the server of the OME from our hosts ESXi5 we define the SNMP CIM for IPMI event source.
This article as well as VMware material and KB, any reference to the need to use the vSphere CLI to make this change, which of course works such as documented. Does anyone know if it is possible to make this change via PowerCLI? We do not want to use the vSphere CLI unless it's the only possible way as all the other configuration items that we have implemented kickstart or PowerCLI scripting.
http://KB.VMware.com/kb/1008065
I was able to find the key value pair in PowerCLI where EnvEventSource/directions options, but I don't know if those who may be changed.
If someone knows a way to do this, I would like to know how it is possible.
Thank you.
I think I knew that. It seems that you have to connect directly to the ESXi host nothing to do with SNMP still, but if someone knows a way to avoid this, I'd love to hear it. But this seems to work at the same time, but would need to change to more than one host at a time.
## Script function: Modify SNMP source for hardware events ## Usage: Connect to vCenter where host(s) reside, populate constants below and run ## Host to make changes to $strVMHost = "your_ESXi_5_host" ## Credentials for ESXi host(s) $strUser = "root" $strPassword = "your_password" ## Key to change value on (in case there are different key/value pairs you need to change in the future) $keySnmpEventSource = "EnvEventSource" ## New value for above key $valueSnmpEventSource = "sensors" ## Connect directly to VMHost in order to see the HostSnmpSystem object (http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-50/topic/com.vmware.wssdk.apiref.doc_50/vim.host.SnmpSystem.html) Connect-VIServer -Server $strVMHost -User $strUser -Password $strPassword ## Get the VMHost .NET View object and select only the HostSnmpSystem object $viewHost = Get-VMHost -Server $strVMHost -Name $strVMHost | Get-View -Property ConfigManager.SnmpSystem ## Get the HostSnmpSystem object $viewHostSnmpSystem = Get-View -Id $viewHost.ConfigManager.SnmpSystem ## Create new empty HostSnmpConfigSpec (http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-50/topic/com.vmware.wssdk.apiref.doc_50/vim.host.SnmpSystem.SnmpConfigSpec.html) $specHostSnmpConfigSpec = New-Object VMware.Vim.HostSnmpConfigSpec ## Populate newly created HostSnmpConfigSpec object with current values $specHostSnmpConfigSpec = $viewHostSnmpSystem.Configuration ## Modify desired value for the matching key ($specHostSnmpConfigSpec.Option | ?{$_.Key -eq $keySnmpEventSource}).Value = $valueSnmpEventSource ## Reconfigure the SNMP agent to take the new value $viewHostSnmpSystem.ReconfigureSnmpAgent($specHostSnmpConfigSpec) ## Disconnect from VMHost Disconnect-VIServer -Server $strVMHost -Confirm:$false
Let me know if it works for your environment that we not use SNMP in ours, so I didn't do extensive testing.

What are these errors and they are nothing to worry about?
I have Nero 8 on this system and have an updated hosts file the running here: http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm
Not sure, but I may have changed a network setting to activate the new hosts file work properly.
Seen these errors for a while. system works well and smoothly. No symptoms of malware or infection seen or found. I would call these software errors as they seem does not affect the operation of the system.

Oh yes :)
I have never used the program VEW and don't think I will check it - I just look at the Event Viewer logs the old-fashioned way (manually) if I think that there is a problem, but that might just be the old me.
It is true that XP Home doesn't have Group Policy Editor, but all policy settings are always available via the registry.
Some malware will change your GP settings and cause problems.
I have a little import registry will correct all the ones I know, so if someone has these symptoms, any flavor of XP, they are running, I'll just send the script because sometimes you will be not able to solve the problem, even if you have not the GP Editor.
The registry always import work - and work well for XP Home or XP Pro. If you have the symptoms and XP Home, what would you? Start the import operation of the registry.
If you're curious, off on my SkyDrive it is a spreadsheet Excel (Group Policy settings) who has all the parameters of GP and where they are in the registry. I do not recommend start searching, but it is useful to know where things are if there is a problem.
I would not allow the connection of a security XP stuff unless you think you're being attacked. More and verbose logging slows things down. My Event Viewer Security log is empty.
Find the links to the Microsoft Support Engineer for the most part useless to actually solve a problem (because it help you with your problem), if someone has a question or point of Event Viewer, I usually just send them this:
To view the logs in Event Viewer, click Start, settings, Control Panel, administrative tools, event viewer.
A shortcut to the event viewer is to click on start, run and enter in the box:
%SystemRoot%\system32\eventvwr.msc
Click OK to launch the event viewer.
The most interesting newspapers are usually the system and Application logs.
Some newspapers such as security and Internet Explorer may be completely empty or have just a few items. The default settings for XP wants do not connect all this activity, unless you need to solve a problem in these areas. If you enable logging for them the papers fill up quickly and could adversely affect the performance of your system with all the extras (often unnecessary) activity.
If you have Microsoft Office installed, it has its own newspapers, and they can be empty or occasional boring activity very little or, if there is no problem with your desktop applications. It's normal.
Not every event is a problem, some are informational messages that things work very well, and some are warnings.
However, no event should defy reasonable explanation.
Each event is sorted by Date and time. Errors will be red Xs, warnings will have yellow! s.
Informational messages have white is. Not every error or warning event means that there is a serious question. Some are excusable at boot time when Windows starts. Try to find only the events to the date and time around your problem.
If you double-click on an event, it will open a window of properties with more information. On the right are black up and down arrow keys to scroll through the open events. The third button that looks like two overlapping pages is used to copy the details of the event in your Windows Clipboard.
When you find an interesting event that occurred at the time of your question, click on the third button at the top and arrows to copy the details and then you can paste the details (right click, paste or CTRL-V) the text in detail here for analysis. Remove all personal information from your information after you paste If you are forced to do so.
If you paste an event, it will look something like this annoying system startup event:

Hi Diddy Dell,
Follow these methods.
Method 1: Performs a search using the Microsoft safety scanner.
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
Method 2: Follow these steps:
Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

Receive the error referenced memory before you receive the logon prompt Windows session during the boot process. Have replaced the RAM on the computer. Windows Xp SP3.
If anyone can identify the update that they think that may be the cause of the problem, you can navigate to the uninstall folder and determine what files have been updated. If they can not start (except in the Recovery Console), you can also sort updates the date by using the dir command in the folder c:\windows (all $NtUninstall records).
Problem is who writes all updates with Patch Tuesday comes around (say... it's today!-be prepared for positions "broken Windows my computer updates" start coming!).
For example:
When you install an update, first installation makes a copy of the files he wants to replace in the $ $NtUninstallKBnnnnnn... folder.
That's why you can uninstall the update later. Running uninstall the update will sometimes remove the updated files, then copy the original return files. Sometimes uninstalling copy just the original preupdate on top of the most recent files. It can also remove some registry keys, so Windows Update do not think you have more (look at the spuninst.inf file).
Look at this update of security for example (KB950762) that updates c:\windows\system32\drivers\rmcast.sys:
If you have installed, it will create this folder:
c:\windows\$NtUninstallKB950762$
You will have the front update file c:\windows\system32\dllcache\rmcast.sys in this folder since the installation of the update makes a copy of the original file for you.
Then look at the file spuninst.txt spuninst folder and you will see what will happen if you need to uninstall the update:
DEL "c:\windows\$hf_mig$\kb950762\sp3qfe\rmcast.sys".
COPY 'C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB950762$\rmcast.sys' 'c:\windows\system32\dllcache\rmcast.sys '.
COPY 'C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB950762$\rmcast.sys' 'c:\windows\system32\drivers\rmcast.sys '.
COPY 'C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB950762$\spuninst\spuninst.txt' 'C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB950762$\spuninst\spuninst.tag '.In this case, uninstalling just copy the original file on top of the files that have been applied in the update, the spunint.inf updates registry tips and that's all.
Notice that it also replaces the file in the dllcache folder too - c:\windows\system32\drivers\rmcast.sys is one of the 3498 drop that PAM cares everything (it's number 2500 in the list). In dllcache files are backup files.
If you were to access your drivers folder and rename c:\windows\system32\drivers\rmcast.sys to rmcast.lem, almost before you can Flash the 'missing' file will be replaced with the copy in the dllcache folder and you will see this in the event log:
Event type: Information
Event source: Windows File Protection
Event category: no
Event ID: 64002
Description:
File replacement was attempted on the protected system file c:\windows\system32\drivers\rmcast.sys. This file was restored to the original version to maintain system stability. The file version of the system file is 5.1.2600.5598.It is WFP in action and this means that WFP is working!
