Remote Desktop scratcher real head

Hello everyone, I'm a guy of facilities in charge of all OVER a school year and the campus of the Church. I recently had installed a new phone system that I can sign - on remotely with remote desktop connection. I have no problem signing on to my house and the company that installed the phone system has no problem also signature.

However when I try remotely sign using the same ip address from my work computer that I can't sign. A message appears asking if the computer is on. I use the right ip address blah, blah, blah. Answer is Yes to all.

Some feedback from Earth. I have two trunks of cable MRC entering the building. I have two networks quite unique. One for my school and the other is for the religious services. I checked the web wonderful days and no matter what I try nothing works! I'm a little frustrated! Getting back to my question. I tried to sign up with a win7 computer (mine, which separated Church network) using the modem school MRC. And also I tried 3 other win8.1 of the MRC modem computers other and separate. It's the network that I'm sighing on. Is it possible to sign desktop remotely from the same LAN? because I can sign in the phone system using the local ip address on these three computers. Sorry, I'm getting a bit convoluted. Always thinking through things.

I still get the same message. Wondering if the computer is on. I use the right ip address blah, blah, blah.
The local internal ip address works very well. But I want to be able to enter the system remotely from my office. Which I can't.

Thanks for all the ideas.

Thank you N Syed, but I finally found a site that has responded to my question. Noted above, and it explains where and what file to find mstsc file and place it in the folder of the comm in VAC. However it gave me an error msg: specified file is not found. PAM handed the file system protected to system32 and instead, I created a shortcut on the desktop. and now, I'll check the link above.

Downloading and the ms support link is fine, but they do not explain where the file is located on your computer, it just says that it is loaded in your pc.

Appreciate your attempt anyway. Thank you and I am afraid that this question is closed.

  • Bangkok Windows 7 Remote Desktop Support

I have improved the work of home to Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit in order to have multi-monitor support in Remote Desktop without using the extended option (which does not work for me, as my screen resolutions are not well enough to be usable).

However, even though I have the session put in place with the ' display > use all of my monitors for the remote session "check on the client, I can get to use a monitor.

According to the FAQ from Microsoft on Win7 Remote Desktop (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Remote-Desktop-Connection-frequently-asked-questions), it should work. Question 5 is ' there are several support monitor for remote desktop connection in this version of Windows? (The header at the top said "Applies to all editions of Windows 7," and there is no separate FAQ for each version, I can say). The answer is Yes, followed by instructions on how to set up.

So, how to do this work?

  • Experts Question Remote Desktop connection...

I'm looking for someone with a lot of experience with Windows Remote Desktop Connection to answer a basic question or two...

I have a WireShark capture (one side unfortunately) which shows 880 MB sent from the client connection remote desktop, running on the host. but I have no capture WireShark volume package from the host of the IP address of the client. The capture is for a period extending over 32 hours. I wonder trying to determine (guestimate) the amount of data that would have been sent between the host and the client... I know it's a real question here; That's why I'm looking for someone with real experience of connection Office remotely.

Given that if the volume of traffic from the client to the host is 880MBytes more than 32 hours; is it at all possible to guess how much would have been sent between the host and the client?

Please be nice, it is important and this is all the information I have.

    Thank you!

  • Screen wide remote desktop

I have an Asus laptop with a widescreen running Windows 7 and I often connect in my desktop computer with a standard view that is also running Windows 7.  Everything works well EXCEPT that... the differences of means of screen sizes that I have to scroll up or down or sideways in order to be able to read all of the remote desktop view.  I tried to change the resolution on my laptop but it does not help.  My laptop resolution is 1366 x 768, and I think that the normal resolution on my desktop is 1280 x 768.  RDP works well between the two computers, but having to Ahmed constantly down the desktop to see the set of program and then having to scroll to the top and right scrolling of the screen to see the different menus or 'X' as a result of a program gets really annoying.  Any suggestions?   Thanks for your help.

RDP should not be dependent on the resolution of the remote desktop, it is it's own display on the remote computer, so by default will be rendered by the remote computer in the resolution of your local computer. This is because you do not normally take on real remote desktop but create a separate. If you right click on the shortcut to connect remotely and go to properties > view tab, you can select a lower resolution on the resolution of your local office to distance a window.

The symptom you describe is more a desktop installation shadow such as indicated by VNC or Log Me In.

  • Windows 7 Ultimate vs professional: richer remote desktop

    Hello

This page on the microsoft.com site States that only the Ultimate edition has "Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) improvements".

He says that "Windows 7 Ultimate is not licensed for VDI scenarios, but these features can be used to create a richer remote desktop experience when it connects to a PC running Windows 7 Ultimate.

What is this "richer experience" on remote desktop? No, it's not AppLocker, BranchCache, Direct Boot from VHD and DirectAccess.

    Thanks a lot for Singapore

    I'm assuming this...

More features RDP two-way 7.0 as Aero glass remoting, audio, Windows Media Player, real support for multiple monitors, Remote Desktop Easy Print are available in editions of Windows 7 business or ultimate edition.

    Hi all

I had this problem since the Fusion 3.0.  I've upgraded to 3.01 and now 3.02 (232708) - running past patches of snow leopard on the macbook pro unibody.

I turned on and off 3d acceleration for this problem.

Environment: Community College, Microsoft DHCP 2012/DDNS network

    Question:

I've got ~ 140 iMacs with 13% to appear in my Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) scans as having correspondence name vs DNS name of the network.

I suspect this affects refusal to license for our products Adobe CC. How can I clear the fields name DNS ARD again be filled properly?

    Hi gwanupnorth,

After checking with file-> Refresh in ARD Admin and there are still agents machine correct without DNS:

-Check in the list of the scanners of ARD Admin, if the machines of 18 or more are detected it with the correct DNS name.

-If Yes, click on each one and update the username: password: and it should update the corresponding entry in all computers.

  • Why is my Apple remote desktop not send software upgrades as it should?

    Apple Remote Desktop Help?

In apple remote desktop there is command-line unix where I can send the command softwareupdate - install - all, and I do as user root on an administrator account. My problem arises when I send the software update and ARD never Specifies if yes or no updates have been installed successfully, it just says: Update software tool. I know that it is not to install the update either, because when I look at computers I see pending updates. I'm new to the apple support and appreciate any help in this matter. Thank you

    have you tried:

    Send the command as root

    the "softwareupdate d-i - a" command?

Try issuing the command to one computer at a time. If you issue it to 100 computers. Your network can choke on the bandwidth required to download all the updates to those. Keep in mind that softwareupdate is for upgrades of the OS; It will not install the updates of pages or other app store apps.

If the command works, you'll probably want to restart the computer. If everything is working properly.

  • Apple Remote Desktop tries to connect to some weird areas

Firefox and osx elcapitan 10.11.4 15E65

It's so weird that lately my ARD tried to connect to areas randomly I searched on the web. Little Snitch reports she's trying to connect to 'gist.github' and the other day he tried to goto "krampus".  As I said it's strange behavior since it's the kind of thing I entered in google.

    All advice is appreciated.

I would be a little surprised if Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) have been connecting the specified web sites, you can post what Little Snitch reports as the source and the destination of the connection?  Also please post what version of Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) are you using?   3.8 (A 380, 95) is in course, at last I checked.

My general recommendation is to remove Little Snitch - this is a great tool, but it also tends to cause problems when network connections are blocked by mistake, and it's certainly excellent fodder for causing paranoia.

Adware and malware can cause this, but - if you connect to these sites and don't have adware or malware or any sort of anti-virus or anti-malware, or other similar types of tools tools additional loading - I guess it's OS X hides a tile or such.

Here is a previous related discussion - even if it is not of the ARD.

  • HP envy printer range: HP envy with Win7 Remote Desktop RDP printing problem

    Hello

I have a printer HP envy 5530 works well for my laptop.

When I connect to my Win7 Remote Desktop Server (on which HP envy drivers are also installed) and try printing locally on my HP local printer, it does not work.

When I look at my local mobile print queue, I see two copies of 'Remote Desktop redirected Printer Doc' contained in the queue. One of the queue said copies and then print. Impression size document in the print queue shows 4 KB that is abnormally low, then the missing documents from the print queue, but are not printed on the printer.

Note that I have no problem with the same laptop, same Remote Desktop server, but using a different printer (not HP).

I saw that on several forums (including this one), many users have this same problem but I've never seen a valid response that solves this problem with RDP.

    Any idea?

    Thank you

I solved the problem by creating a new printer on the local computer and configure the port to the Standard TCP/IP port with the IP address of the printer and the HP Deskjet 6940 driver use. Deskjet 5500 driver may work as well.

The problem is with the specific Envy 5530 driver.

  • Cannot disconnect remote desktop background user

Running 3.8 remote desktop. My clients usually run 3.8.5, and all have an Admin account I can connect without disturbing the user.

Host computer running OS X 10.11.4, clients are on a variety of versions of the OS.

Recently, I started getting the following message when you try to log on to this account Admin:

The account that you selected is not available.

Check your network connection and try again to the user account. If you are connected to the network, ask your administrator to help system.

If you click on the OK button, which is the only button available, you are listed on the desktop of the admin account. This leaves you stuck in the Admin account. I don't like it in abeyance.

Has anyone seen this error before?

It seems to be a new problem with the 3.8.5 update. Returning to 3.8.4 on the target mac resets the connection.
