50% of TosBtMng.exe allways need the CPU performance

Hello

My English may surrounding isn't very good.

I have a problem with the Toshiba Bluetooth Personal Area Network adapter in my other laptop manufacturer.

Allways when bluetooth TosBtMng.exe Manager runs, it takes 100% of the second part of my Intel Dual processor.

I've already updated the driver today, but the problem is always the same. I took the files of Fujitsu Siemens in charge.

Can get I have a more recent direct from Toshiba anywhere?
Searching on the internet I found, that others have had the same problem, but nothing to trouble.
Operating system is Windows XP SP2.

Can someone help me?

What is the model number of your laptop?

You can use the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack. To do this, uninstall the Toshiba Bluetooth Manager in Control Panel-> Add/Remove programs.

I am also facing the problem that the Toshiba Bluetooth Manager (TosBtMng.exe) very often starts a loop and causes a 100% CPU load.

This has happened with older versions of the Toshiba Bluetooth stack and the current version (5.1.0.12).

The affected system is a Tecra S1, BT-Modul and Windows XP SP2.

BT battery installation went well and the laptop starts succesfull while BT is enabled. I also checked for hidden COM-Ports and other tips in this forum, without success.

Blocking seems to occur at different times. Sometimes just after are restarted, by clicking on the tray icon of BT with the right button of the mouse. Then the context menu is shown all too the white box, no entries. He can also try to connect to a device already associated. If I kill the process with the Task Manager, I can restart and he continues to work for a while.

As found in another thread here, I enabled the registration of the API of the Bluetooth Manager and found the following when connecting with the Nokia PC Suite for my mobile phone:

A new COM port is created successfully (COM23) and a few seconds later the CPU of TosBtMng load goes up to 100%, but no API calls are made. And if you wait long enough the phone are connected and data can be transferred. However, very slowly.

Probably because of the high CPU load a next port COM (COM24) will be created some time later and this process is then repeated once again:

  • G7 notebook pc Pavilion: the CPU performance

    Hallo,

My computer hp laptop has i5 cpu and ran it with 60% of 5 minutes after opening it causes heat and the backround programms. I watched a few videos about it and it says to 'set affinity' of some programms to process high to run with 1 or 2 or 3 carrots. After testing this on my laptop, my cpu performance went to 40% and less, indeed, if it worked. In the future it would damage my laptop?

  • Why msmpeng.exe consumes all the cpu

Why msmpeng.exe cause my computer lock in place... and consume so much CPU usage... and how can I fix the problem?...

    Hi schuylerwoods,

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. You have a third-party security software installed on the computer?
    3. When exactly the computer freezes?

Msmpeng.exe process is used by the Microsoft Windows Defender to perform the procedures for scanning of spyware.

It is also possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    1. Click Start , and then click run.
    2. Type msconfig , and then click OK.
The System Configuration utility dialog box appears.
    3. Click the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services , and then click OK.
    4. When you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.
  • After awhile java.exe is the CPU at 100%

    Hello!

I have a problem with the java.exe in the environment in which I work. In the environment, I have a physical server: Sun Fire X 4100 Server with 2 processors and 16 GB of RAM for control of virtualization. On the system, this is the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter and vCenter 5.5.

For the most part, we are 5 guys in the team who use the vSphere Web GUI. We are connecting to the server using RDP and after some time, we can not connect because the CPU is at 100%. It takes 20-30 minutes to be able to connect. And then 5-10 minutes to be able to click on something. For example, to kill the java.exe file keeps the CPU at 100%. This isn't a good idea because afterwords the Web GUI does not work so we need to restart the server.

Anyone of you have any idea why this is happening?

    Bogdan

Sorry! I can't see the part about it being the physical server... which version of VC is this?

  • Satellite R850 uses only 25% of the CPU

Hey, my toshiba satellite R850 uses 25% of the CPU, I got 8 GB of ram, and most of the higher quality games have 20-30 FPS, is there a possibility to make it higher?

    Thanks for the help!

How do you get this value or how do you know that only 25% of the CPU performance can be used?

Have you noticed this behavior of the laptop is running on battery or power?

Usually, you can change the max and min of CPU performance values in Windows power management. This allows you to decrease the CPU heat dissipation and to increase the working time of battery.

In contrast to Intel CPU support between that the enhanced SpeedStep Technology puts both voltage and frequency in tandem up and down level to processor support.
Simply said: the CPU runs with only if more high performance s necessary!

I think the game frame per second question is more related to the graphics card than the CPU.
Not quite sure this graphic card your laptop stand, but in case you want to have big game performance, the laptop should be equipped with a GPU external nVidia or ATI.

  • Qosmio G50 - Everest made see the CPU temp corectly?

My Qosmio G50 cpu temp seems normal 35 ° C, but when I open the Download Manager after beginning everst sometimes show constant 70 c never never falls if student even I left inactive for a few hours.

I wonder if this temp is correct and can cause the dmg or its software fault and calculates wrong because I hear no noise or any fan.

    Hello

70 c are nothing special and it s normal behavior that the CPU temperature would increase if the CPU performance increase.

AFAIK the CPU is able to last a temperature of 100 ° C.

    Regarding the 3rd party tools;
These tools are not tested with different sensors so it of really difficult to tell if the temperature has been successfully read
But if the temperature is too high then the laptop would be closed automatically to prevent damage of material form
If the laptop still works so I guess that the temp is too high

  • Portege will extinguish after iTunesphotoprocessor.exe gets the CPU to 100% usage

    Hi all

I am having a problem with my Toshiba Portege and sync with my iPad2.

I'm syncing large amount of photos to my iPad, when synchronization progess is at the stage of optimization photos iTunes runs two processes iTunesphotoprocessor.exe and the CPU usage is 100%.

The Toshiba fan then runs at full speed until the immedialtey of the computer turns off.
It is not a normal shutdown of Windows 7 64-bit. It's an energetic power loss, while the Toshiba is on a/c.

I can reproduce the same with my iPhone 4.

I thought I should use a USB hub with an adapter separated instead, unfortunately, there is no difference.

It is not only synchronize photos that it occurs also when I sync movies and only iTunes.exe running at 100% CPU usage.
Which brings me to the conclusion that the iPad draws a lot of power of the Toshiba until the laptop is on its knees.

I use external drives (not USB powered) and can copy a lot of data without any problem.

Perhaps worth mentioning that I have improved the Toshiba two months ago for Windows 7 64 bit and installed all the 64-bit drivers found here on the forum with the upgrade of the BIOS.

    Any hint is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

In my opinion this has nothing to do with the power supply or the power adapter plugged.
The iTunesphotoprocessor.exe belongs to the iTunes software and in my opinion this software highlights the laptop CPU s that cause automatic shutdown!

This means that it is not a problem of laptop but the Apple software.
I m not sure if it s a compatibility issue with 64-bit Windows system, but he s certainly an iTunes problem

So, in my opinion, you need to reinstall this software to see if that would help
You can uninstall this software from the system and could clean the registry with CCleaner, it helps to clean the registry
After that and after new restarts, you can try to install a version compatible 64-bit iTunes maybe it helps

  • Windows XP I often setup.exe keeping the CPU at 100% for at least a few minutes.

Running Windows XP, I often setup.exe keeping the CPU at 100% for at least a few minutes... this process can be completed or ignored?

"Setup.exe" is a generic term used by many applications.  The short answer is 'yes', it's OK to complete the process, but you really need to know what it is and why it continues to run.

You probably need to download, install, update and run these free malware scanner (not at the same time):
    MalwareBytes AntiMalware
    SUPERAntiSpyware

If that is not fix things, and assuming that this process begins when you start the computer, download, install, and run Autoruns.  When Autoruns has finished scanning, click the 'Connection' tab and look for the line that contains "setup.exe".  You can just uncheck the box on the left, or remove the item, which will prevent the routine of starting when Windows starts.

Preferably, however, you should look at the path containing setup.exe where you should be able to deduce what application is trying to set itself up.  You can then take the appropriate measures, which may be simply delete the folder that contains the file.  Note that if you delete the file, you must ALSO remove the line in Autoruns, otherwise you will get a "file not found" error every time Windows starts.

  • CLEANMGR. EXE to almost 100% of the CPU

I opened the disk cleaned but it kept running after several minutes so I closed it.  Now CLEANMGR. EXE process is running close to 100% of the CPU.  The hard disk is not full.  I want to stop this process.

Select Ctrl + Alt + Delete to bring up the Task Manager. Click on the Applications tab, place the curson disk cleanup (CLEANMGR. (EXE) and end task. You may need to show patience, but it will end the task. The task will be probanly ended in all cases at the time you read this message, but it's the solution for the next time.

The behaviiour by the disk cleanup tool may be because it had not been run for a long time. Not only it removes unwanted temporary files but also compresses the recently accessed files. This is a known problem with disk cleanup it may take some time to evaluate the space gained by compressing the files.

Windows error reporting service ceased to record events in the event viewer. The last successful entry was 26/03/2010. Since then whenever the service generates Werfault.exe to handle the error, the process seems stuck in a loop of consumer processor, but do nothing. It uses 99% of CPU (80% preferred), is not e/s and number of handles, thread, & working set do not develop.

Three Windows updates were installed in shortly after the last successful log entry (automatic update is enabled):

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

    Hi Wannknow,

It's good information - and thanks for the thanks! You really only need to run an adware or virus (malware) program at the same time. What I would recommend is that you choose an adware program - either "Windows Defender" or "spyware doctor" and disable the other. This can be your root problem, so at this point I turn back on 'report of problems and solutions' and see if you experience the same problem:

    Again, here are the instructions:

    1. open Control Panel. (Press Ctrl-ESC and type 'control' is faster access method).

    2. click on "System and Maintenance" and then click "problem reports and solution."

    3. click on change settings in the left panel of the problem reports and Solutions window.

Something is wrong with the latest version of Firefox, I never saw behave this way. Revert to a previous version (Filehippo) and you will see the difference.

Normally, helpsvc.exe shouldn't use all CPU resources, if you use actually help and support and not much even in this case.  It is possible, however, that you have a malware application using the same name.

The correct helpsvc.exe must be placed in C:\Windows\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries.  The current version should be 5.1.2600.5997 and 727 KB in size.  If your helpsvc.exe is located in another directory or a different size, it is probably malware.  What is the real message of your Norton product?

There was a problem with helpsvc.exe exhausting the resources of the computer, but that the problem was supposed to have been corrected in Service Pack 2 (and you have sp3, correct?). http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/839017

If all else fails, you can disable using Windows:

    3. Stop the service.
    4. Set the startup type to "Manual" (service starts when you click Help and Support) or 'off '.
