  If your running windows make sure you have the latest device driver for your graphics card installed.  All entries must be selected and be on a black background, but you should be able to see is that the text.

• Photoshop CS6 Brush tool is weird.

  Hey yall.

  I have photoshop cs6 and my brush tool is really weird. It is stuck at 100% hardness, and it isn't even the normal hardness that makes the brush.

  I tried to reset the tools. Even went as far as uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop. It is still made. I don't know what I can do about it. No idea how?

  It seems that you have selected instead of the pencil tool Brush tool.

  Click and hold on the pencil tool icon in the Toolbox to see the other tools hidden in this niche.

  

• I dropped my computer, now it is weird...

  I recently dropped my laptop (it's a Samsung, not sure what type; it is only a year), and the battery kind of popped out of its holder. :(

  Subsequently:
  -L' computer would start ok, until he got on the desk
  -But then it would freeze at the level of the office, and none of the programs would work
  -Ctrl-alt-del doesn't work.  This error message is there if I tried.
  -Safe mode worked sometimes.  Sometimes he wouldn't, he would be stuck at the black screen (white/letters) and stay there.

  I found myself eventually the running system recovery and that seemed to fix the problem.  The computer worked fine for about 24 hours.  But earlier, he crashed again (for no apparent reason), and now it's back to being weird.

  Safe mode works ok, but the normal mode won't let me run programs.  This is suuuper slow.

  I know it's kind of vague, but I would appreciate REALLY any ideas on what could be the problem.

  UH... Call Samsung technical support would probably be the best idea. It is possible that, for example, the memory, the modules are loose, HDD or motherboard has been damaged etc. In regards to the memory modules, it is likely that you can remove and insert again by yourself (with AC adapter disconnectd and battery removed from your laptop). At the bottom of your laptop, there should be a latch (attached with a Phillips head screw). This latch hides the memory modules. Whatever it is, the safest way would be to contact Samsung support.

  The VIX 3016 error code indicates the tools are not running. However, I check if the tools and running and installed (through the java api) before calling the method "runProgramInGuest".

  It turns out that the problem is when cloning. Linked clones are created using the diskMoveType the value "CREATE_NEW_CHILD_DISK_BACKING".

  But when linked clones have been created using the value 'MOVE_ALL_DISK_BACKINGS_AND_ALLOW_SHARING' diskMoveType the problem no longer occurs.

  VMware Tools are installed on the base virtual machine and I understand the basic disk is shared among related clones but I always thought that the basic disk become read only when the linked clones are created. If so, why would be a mistake "tools does not" occurs then? are not just the "vmware tools" files being read from the disk basic and performed by the RAM/vmswp clone? Am I missing something?

  Can someone explain why this error occurs when Linked clones are created using 'CREATE_NEW_CHILD_DISK_BACKING '? In addition, a link/document to fully understand the Linked clones would help.

  I'm having a problem with the forms drawn with the pen tool and this weird border (no stroke). It appears when the transparency settings are changed (multiply, overlay, etc...). I've updated AI CC and restarted the program with no fix. The only known cure is to add a line to the object. Any help is appreciated! Thank you

  We have a cluster running multiple 5.1 ESXi hosts and a 5.0 ESXi host. The virtual machine running on 5.1 guests show their tools VMWare is obsolete, but the virtual machine running on the 5.0 show their tools as being COMMON since with each new version of ESX, VMWare tools must also be updated. My question is: If we update VMware tools on virtual machines on 5.1, guests will be able to run on the host 5.0 if necessary? Therefore, an active cluster HA/IP hosts automatically migrated to guests according to load, etc.

  I'm pretty new to Photoshop (cs6) (I'm a fan of fireworks) and have a grip on things I need, but the Brush tool is being a pain.

  I scoured the forums and Google, but in vain. The Brush tool doesn't drag. I can click and it will produce color, but if I drag the it, it puts just the color where I clicked. I checked that the clouds of points is not on, I tried with it on and the randomness of the value 0. He has not trailed since I installed it, so I have not tested with parameters

  If you save the image, then reopen, is the full stroke?  It seemed to me have pointed out a problem with some graphics cards where they attend the first application of the bruch, but not the rest, although the complete race was present.  You check OpenGL settings and see if change them to something else helps.  What graphics card you have?

  So, I own a compaq refurbished hp (dc5800 Compact) and after all these years of uninstalling programs instaliing and other to the point that its slow ignition, loading ect...

  Now, what I want to do is just restore it too its original condition when I bought it (don't care about information loss).

  Keep track of your Windows license key.

  Usually repeatedly touch the key F11 at startup you'd bring to the Recovery Manager but the fact that it is a system refurbished, it can not be there.

  The installation CD you won't have you reinstall the system?  Would probably not be factory HP restore disc but a disc than anyone else renovated the computer does.

• Manager proxy ADB BlackBerry stopped working

  I worked on an Android app for the months that I was developing on my classic BlackBerry. It was working fine. I could even debug via WiFi through the Proxy of BlackBerry ADB Manager. However, after the update my Android SDK Manager and a bunch of Android stuff here today, my device will not be displayed in the adb devices list more (not in IntelliJ and not on the command line). My camera is in development mode and has a debugging deployed token.

  The tool always seems to run IntelliJ, and it connects properly as it did before. Is there a specific version of Android SDK Build-tools I should use? I guess I'll try and remove the new packages until I'm back to the old, but I do not know if this is the problem.

  My new BlackBerry Pearl is a wonderful tool for my business - I am is more chained to my desktop and can receive my email, even when I'm at a client site! But I have one criticism which asked each cell phone, I've owned in the last 10 years, and is on the external control keys.

  I wish manufacturers of cell phones would add some sort of option of locking for these buttons. Whenever I put my BlackBerry in my pocket, or voice Activator emits a sound, "say a command" repeatedly and without being asked, or the camera takes of many photos of the inside of my pocket, clogging my system memory to the point where I have not sufficient bandwidth to receive emails (Fortunately, I realized that is fast enough to receive a critical message in time). A toggle locking/unlocking, either as a programming mode or a simple hardware switch, could solve these problems and make me a very grateful and loyal customer. Heck, even a lightweight accessory that blocks the buttons (like the "ARO" on a sports bumper car) would do the trick. I thought about sticking band-AIDS on my phone, but I really don't want that he tainted nasty adhesive.

  Fantastic! Indirectly, it worked. By accessing the site you suggested, I found an even better solution. It actually * is * an option to choose which application these buttons control, including 'nothing. ' I chose 'nothing' with a big smile on my face - problem SOLVED!

• Quirks of Solaris 10, 32 and 64-bit

  I'm putting in place some Solaris 10 VMs, a 32-bit and 64-bit, but faced some strange problems. Before getting into the details, just FYI our 4 ESX hosts run successfully quite a few other 32 and 64 bit Windows and Linux machines without any problem.

  I created two virtual machines (vmware hardware v7), a set in Solaris 10 (32-bit), a set of Solaris 10 (64-bit). I then installed the OS on both. Solaris doesn't have that a single OS install DVD for x 86 and x 64: sol-10-u8-ga-x86-dvd.iso... During the installation process I've ever asked which version I wanted to install. Once the installation is done I installed vmware-tools which has installed fine and I restarted them, VIC sees vmware-tools work OK.

  Here's where to start the quirks.

  On both systems...

  • 'uname - a' watch x 86, that the 64-bit one does not show x 64 at all. "SunOS 5.10 test-solaris-10-32 Generic_141445-09 i86pc i386 i86pc.

  • "getconf LONG_BIT" on both servers, returns 32.

  • ' isainfo - kv ' returns '64-bit amd64 kernel modules.

  • When virtual machines are powered on they both appear as guest operating system: Solaris 10 (64-bit) to VIC.

  • When virtual machines are turned off they appear as 32 bit and the 64 other-VIC.

  • When the servers are restarted, on the two I see 'Version SunOS 5.10 Generic_141445 - 09 64-bit Version' on the screen briefly that the servers are shut down.

  • When servers starting in the Grub boot menu there is only one option: ' Solaris 10 10/09 s10x_u8wos_08a X 86 "and"Solaris failsafe.

  Unfortunately I don't know enough on Solaris to find out if it is Solaris being weird or ESX 4 being weird. I need to create a custom package (PKG) files and I am trying to create a version for both x 86 and x 64, but due to the problems above the packages created on both machines appear to be identical. All that really matter for Solaris 10 is perhaps SPARC or x 86 / x 64?

  Solaris 10 will boot a kernel 64-bit if your 64-bit capable CPU.  To force the Solaris 10 to start in 32-bit mode on a 64-bit host computer, run the following command from a command line prompt in the comments:

• I have blocked all the Web pages of my University by accident.

  Thanks for your help. I was on the site of Blackboard at my University (I'm an instructor) and was trying to listen to the podcast of student assignments. An icon like a lego brick appeared with the message 'a plugin is required to play this content. At the top of the icon is a little link that says "block X".

  I clicked on this link, assuming that he would allow me to 'unlock' the material. In this window of Firefox I asked for any material domain name www.nd.edu.au at my University to be unlocked, but now I've lost all access to all of its pages. Looks like I have everything blocked by mistake.

  I searched all add-ons, but cannot work out what tool is being accessed down. I don't have a lot of plugins. Those who are activated are: Addobe AAM detect; Help browser by default; Flip4Mac Windows Media plugin. Java applet; SharePoint browser plug-in; Shockwave Flash. and Silverlight.

  It does not resemble a parental control setting Mac, I can navigate to these pages in Safari. In addition, starting Firefox in safe mode returns all access.

  If you use extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) which can block content (e.g., Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that these extensions are not blocking content.

  If it works in Mode safe mode and normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) off and then try to find which extension is the cause by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

  Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit ' (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit)

• After that uninstall of Firefox "No. Squint" zoom is not registered

  I uninstalled "No. Squint" when I found that it doesn't work as I wanted.
  Now Firefox (v.21) remembered more zoom levels of the pages I visit after that FF is closed and reopened.

  "No. Squint" uninstall asked if I wanted to restore the functionality of zoom FF - to which I replied YES.

  After uninstalling, I tried Windows RESTORE to return the system to say before "No. Squint" installed, this did not help.

  Tools > Options > privacy > clear history of Firefox closing > settings > Preferences on the Site is NOT defined, so if I understand correctly, level of Zoom of the Site should be maintained. I tried the setting and not disarm or none this effect.

  Safe mode made no difference.

  In the end I got so fed up that I restored all Mozilla Firefox directories from a backup from 2 days old disk image (before No. Squint was installed). Features of Firefox returned ZOOM, ZOOM level for specific sites now preserved.
  This in spite of all THE tools > Options being exactly the same.

  The question - did the No. SQUINT add-on which seems irreversible, even when it is removed?

  Problem solved for now. I'll be more careful before installing add-ons in the future.
