Restrictions in outlook
Dear friends,
Can someone tell me or teach me to lift the restrictions in outlook?
I will explain what is happening: in outlook, we sometimes e-mail with a few links (underlined words) that will open a Web site to explore.
When I click on a link like this I get an error message saying "the operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on this computer. Please contact the administrator '.
I have the administrator rights and already went to outlook (in tools) the solution options but couldn't find anything.
Can someone help me on this?
Thanks in advance.
João
I had the same problem, tried all of the above. Someone talked about Google Chrome, that I had installed and uninstalled. I reinstalled and solved the problem.

I can't open links in the email Outlook 2007 on Windows Vista
The links in my email do not work in Outlook 2007. I use Windows Vista. Links worked fine until I installed then uninstalled Google Chrome. No idea how I can fix the links?
Thank you
It's called the problem after you have uninstalled Chrome. It is ultimately a default browser related issue; There are different 'cure', but none exactly foolproof. Here are some of the threads I have my favorites:

Is no longer, I can use a "hyperlink" to send an email via my Hotmail account... I downloaded IE8 this past weekend, and he threw all my settings. I have gone through and set IE to use "Hotmail" as my e-mail program... but he continues to revert to the default value "Outlook 07" and invites me to download the package "Connector"... I did, including the 'new' one...» It still I cannot send emails...
I even tried to send an of in Outlook, he won't do it again... but I can 'Open' options box, to my Hotmail account... and work on the set-up etc. I don't need to be able to send emails.
I also received a "notice" that I have to download 'ALL' my files from email to my turn... «Won't do it...» "I want all the email in my Hotmail account for the past x number of years on my system. I just want to send an email again. The settings are completely foires, and I'm going around in circles trying to get the 'Help' of MS on this... Now that they have "Dumped" me here...
Hi scoutxlt,
I looked at this post and it seems that pretty well all you problems have been solved. Please correct me if I missed something, there are quite a few comments.

Windows Mail is the replacement for Outlook Express, so it works the same way. On the flip side, it also has some of the same restrictions under Outlook Express. Live Mail is a little more and, of course, the flagship that outlook does, well, darn near everything.
Finally, to get your operational Outlook please go to the forum of the Office. They are the experts in this area. Here is the link.

When you use a plus 16-character password, Thunderbird fails to connect to the SMTP outgoing/outlook live.
The problem persists after you turn off my AV, turn off my VPN, from Thunderbird in safe mode and even after the addition of a '1' at the end of my password 16ch.
Interestingly, Microsoft has the following warning when changing your password:
WARNING: passwords longer than 16 characters cannot be used with the Xbox 360See the attached screenshots.
It is a limitation imposed my mail server, not Thunderbird. It is not just the Xbox it's all e-mail clients. The major problem is, Microsoft either don't use folk with general IT experience, preferring the Microsoft professionals who really don't know anything else or deliberately do everything except web mail as difficult as possible. They want you in Microsoft walled garden.
I'm starting to see four Internets. Apple, Microsoft, Google one, then the open internet, the champions of Mozilla, unfortunately none of the other three Internet really want interoperability. They like vendor lock-in...

When one of my users trying to reach a 50 MB file to an e-mail message, Outlook 2007 immediately appears with the following message: the attachment size exceeds the allowable limit. The user is not even allowed to attach the file such as Outlook it immediately blocked. We have a 10 MB limit for messages that leave the organization. This user has attempted to send the file to another Member of our Organization. In Outlook 2003, we are able to send 50 MB files to another without problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? I wonder if there is a setting in Outlook 07 which limits the size of an attachment. The confusing part is that he was not yet able to attach the file.
OS: XP Pro 64-bit
Suite Office 2007
Exchange 2003Thank you!
Hello
1 you need to set the maxRequestLength value in the web.config file to a value greater than 50 MB. The maxRequestLength value in the web.config file is a parameter ASP.NET prevents applications greater than a certain length that has been added to prevent DOS attacks. He is set to 30 MB by default and must be increased in order to send attachments more than 30 MB. This could also be declined to enforce a lower limit.
2. you need to increase the MaxSubmitMessageSize which is a property of the mailbox of readonly (MaxSubmitMessageSize = 0x666D0003) and this is where we reach the limit of 10 MB.
It is read from the following locations:
- First reading of the object the user mailbox
- If not found as indicated by "unlimited", Transport Settings Container
- If not found as indicated by "unlimited", Org (read default Org container) container
To set the value, use the following tasks in the Exchange Management Shell:
1 set-transportconfig MaxSendSize (this is KBS) and then assign 51200 for 50 MB attachments. This will put it to all users
Or
2 set-mailbox and set the MaxSendSize (this is KBS) to 51 200 for attachments of 50 MB forspecific to a set of users.
Once you set or the other, you must recycle store or not access to the mailbox for 15-20 minutes (to allow to store the cache expire) so that the change in size to have effect. In addition, the property is stored in AD and submitted to replication delays.
One last thing that you should be aware of (sorry, the list will just):
We have a timeout of 60 minutes for any attachment request or download attachment query (in OWA basic and Premium). So if you try to download an attachment 50 MB on a 56 Kbps connection, you will then expire and get a HttpWebException (e.g., the max upload is about 25 MB on a 56 Kbps connection).
So, to sum up, there are two keys to send a large attachment:
1 ASP.NET change web.config settings.
2 modify the MaxSendSize using the set-TransportConfig (for all users) or Set-Mailbox for individual users.
And you must
3 ensure that the total download time will be less than 60 minutes (depending on your size and the speed of your network link)
The web.config change is immediate, but the MaxSendSize change takes time, because of the caching strategy (the letter box, DSAccess deadlines and delays in replication cache).
Examples:
Changes to Web.Config
By default, web.config under OWA virtual directory (Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\Owa) will have the following entry (by default, the maximum request size is about 30 MB):
....
Change
to where X is the value you want in KBs. 50 MB, X will be of approximately50000 Change the size limit of messages by user
Go in the Exchange Management Shell and type the following command:
Set-mailbox - id: "username" - MaxSendSize:50000
Where "username" is the identity of the mailbox. This will set the limit to send message to about 50 MB. You need to restart the store to see the effect immediately.
Change the size limit for messages of all users
Go in the Exchange Management Shell and type the following command:
-Set-transportconfig MaxSendSize: 50000
This will set the limit to send message to about 50 MB. You need to restart the store to see the effect immediately.

Same question as in the title.
About 3 days ago I had installed Google chrome and uninstalled then, since then had this problem when I click on the link in Outlook, I can't the website - access denied.
Check if the following items are defined as your default programs...
1. Outlook.
2. your main browser (if you have more than one browser).
Same procedures apply to both of the above. Internet Explorer is used as an example...
Start button... Default programs... Configure your default program... column on the left, click Internet Explorer... it does not say 'this program has all its defaults "?
If not, click on choose keybord for this programs... check all the boxes in the list... click on save when you are finished.
If you wish, you can ask your question to the Microsoft Office Outlook forum for expert advice.
