ripped music is in an incorrect language

After using Windows Media Player for years, all of a sudden the titles & names are in a foreign language stick figure! All parameters were to "default". I have reset therm to 'American English': no numbers stick effect for any new CD Ripper. Existing library is not affected.  Is there any solution for this?

  • Windows Media Player 12 settings "Rip Music" does not

    Help!
New PC with Windows 7, built by a company of high reputation of range build VERY running.
WMP12 works well but maybe 2 two problems are present in WMP12.
    In WMP12:
    (1) under Tools/Options/rip music, the field "Rip music to this location" is empty.  When I click on 'change... '. "nothing happens.  No dialog, error or anything else than flashing button [modify...] to recognize the click.  I is my places of "personal folders" on a drive other C: then, but have verified that they are mapped correctly and that the 'My music' library 'functional' and is visible via the files/manage option in WMP12 library.
    (2) also under Tools/Options/rip music, ANY other changes (for example, a change to the quality slider), "will not" when you click on the [apply] button.  Instead, a dialog box appears stating "ripping settings could not be applied.
Still, it was an OEM of a large enterprise version.  Everything else works correctly (I am a self-proclaimed Windows guru).
    I updated libraries
I have disabled WMP from the tool functions and characteristics, restarted, run a registry cleaner, reactivated and the problem persists.
I have found no way to do a clean reinstall of WMP (I won't do a full OS reinstall... too much construction work took place already).
There are several other references to this same problem within the database of MS but not hard to miracle.
Help, please.  This is shaking my normal mode of operation.
    Thank you.

This is because the directory where rip use to point to is no longer exsits. Try to redo the path were rip used to point on (no need to re - move your personnel records around simply create the path were rip stressed then you can delete it later), as soon as you have the right way, the dialogue of rip in WMP will appear again and you will be able to change it. See also this post, if I understand your Angie OP you did most of this, but see my post at the bottom might give you a clue as to have been rip said if he can't remember.

  • Add recently ripped music librarb disc

I ripped a drive.  Usually when I do that the disk is automatically included in my library.  Can someone help me to do it?

    Hello

By default, the ripped files are automatically added to the Player library. On your computer, the files are in the folder in your library of music specified on the tab extract music from the Options dialog box.

More information on rip files: rip music: frequently asked questions

To check the settings, you can refer to the following link: change settings for ripping

If you remember the name of the files, even you can search for the particular file access the same, refer to: find a file or folder

  • The sound quality of ripped music is very poor

    Hi all

I have the Windows 7 operating system. I used the Windows Media Player installed to rip all of my old records, as I want to go completely digital and all of my music stored on portable hard drives.

    OT: Windows Media Player
The problem I have is that with CDs, the sound quality of ripped music is very poor, for example the singers voice can still be heard, but some background instruments can barely be heard or is not audible at all, drums are absent from some songs, guitar, organ or bass is absent from others. That leaves the music sound "tinny" without depth or wealth.
Is it possible that I can solve this problem?
    Thanks to you all.
    DavidS-13

    Hi David,

There are two ways to change the rip while settings in the Player library. You can insert a CD into your CD-ROM drive and click Rip settings, or you can click Rip music tab in the Options dialog box. The music tab Rip in the Options dialog box offers additional options that are not available in the Rip settings menu.

I suggest you to change the RIP settings and see if that helps.

  • I can't rip music cd in windows media player?

Original title: I can't rip music CDs in windows media center?

I've been ripping discs a few weeks when I had windows media player.  This seems to have disappeared, and the entire screen is different. I read articles watched youtube videos and can not understand.

I'm trying to get my music in my library, so I can add it to the movies I make in windws live movie maker.  I want windows live Director worked with i-tunes and I could avoid all this tear etc.  T it?

I used windows movie maker a few months ago and I was able to upload to youtube, etc. Now, I get a windows live screen, what is windows live?  What happened to the old windows media player?

    Thank you

    Hey mookster62,

I think you're talking about ripping in Windows Media Player, but your title says something else entirely. Please confirm on the same so that we can offer our best support.

Upon your first request, it is not the best place to determine whether Windows Live Movie Maker works with iTunes. Forum Windows Live would be the best place.

Coming to your question ripping, please follow the suggestions in the thread below:

CD will not rip using Windows Media Player in windows 7
    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7music/thread/96AFEB65-4A6D-4559-AF83-C9B52E42A938

If all goes well, one of the suggestions provided it solves this problem.

On your last concern, Windows Movie Maker doesn't not part of Windows 7. Thus, it must be Windows Live Movie Maker in your case. However, please find help on downloading YouTube videos from the link below.

  • Have lost the ability to RIP music with WIN7.

When I hit the Rip CD button, I get the following error message.
"Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If you try to play, burn, or sync an item that is in your library, the element can point to a file that has been moved, renamed or deleted'

When I then go in the Rip settings > more options, tab extract music and try to add a location "Rip music to this location" it won't let me add a location. The location for the music Rip is currently empty.

Convenience store says I have problems of configuartion.

    But how to fix it?

Mir the following worked for me.

What follows this fixed for me:

    1. go to "organize--> manage--> Music libraries.
    2. make sure that there is not a library listed that is not available (in my case, an Ipod that I had plugged another time then disconnected).
    3. Select the missing library, and then click 'remove '.
    4. repeat 1-3 for the videos, images and TV recorded if necessary.
    5. try to extract again.

  • Windows 8: rip music on a CD and Windows 8. How get music ALSO on the desktop.

How to rip music on Windows 8? I've done it before, but I don't remember how. And not only on the application of "music". I need too on the desktop, but I don't remember how to do it (for easy access).

Launch Windows Media Player, then it works exactly as he has done in Windows 7 (it's actually the same media player).

  • Extensions (CS4 and CS5) Manager shows an incorrect language

What can I say? I discovered this problem to start the CS4 Master Suite but fumbled PixelBender installation in the dialog box and got to work. Now that I'm back with CS5, I still have the same problem. No language problem anywhere else, but in the extensions Manager. I use a Mac Pro, Snow Leopard and the CS5 Design Premium Suite. The incorrect language appears to be German, although I don't speak or write German, so I'm not sure. Screenshot below. Thank you!

    Extension-mgr-screen.png

Did you do any change to the order of the language in preferences 'language & text "? If English is still the first language in the language list, it is really strange. The extension manager uses language OS if that language is supported at the autonomous launch. Please check you have the correct code page.

The next solution is not the ideal solution, but it should work.
    1. go to the Extension Manager installation folder, right-click "Adobe Extension Manager CS5.app", select "view the contents of the package.
    2. Select 'content '->' MacOS '->' ZStringResources '.
    3. move da_DK.xml off "Adobe Extension Manager CS5.app" as a backup, rename en_US.xml to da_DK.xml.
    4. Select 'content '->' resources '.
    5. move the folder da.lproj on "Adobe Extension Manager CS5.app" as a backup, rename en.lproj in da.lproj.
    6. you may need to open the file to get the write privilege when you rename the file.

  • Can I re - rip music files under a different type? WMA to mp3.

Stupidly, I ripped my CD of music for Windows Media Player. The default setting is for wma files. Now I want to download my music on the Amazon Cloud, and he does not accept wma files. I do not accept MP3 files. Anyway I can fix this error in novice?

You can change the settings in Windows Media Player to rip to mp3, but it would be much faster and easier to convert wma to mp3 files. Here is a free Converter:

    http://download.CNET.com/free-WMA-to-MP3-Converter/3000-2140_4-10494267.html

I am surprised Amazon won't accept (or convert) wma files there are a lot of people in the same situations that you, myself included.
