RoboHelp 7

Hello
I use Robohelp 7. Some pages are not displayed in editor mode / doc pad or design. I am able to display the output page or also by using view option. The page is also in the folder of the Page Manager. The page empty displays in Design view and html mode doesnot have the html code. it doesnot get all pages, it happens with pages that has Tables and dhtml menu effects drop-down hotspot. Pease do help me with a solution. It has nothing to do with the properties of the page?

If you install the two patches RH7 you will find that this problem goes away. You can download it from here. Note You must apply the 7.0.1 patch before the 7.0.2 patch.

  • Change the name of the project that is used on the server of RoboHelp for reactive HTML5

    I use Adobe 2015 to publish Responsive HTML5 in RoboHelp Server 10.

    When I publish the project, it seems to name the file, the name of the project. So, if my project is named Cool_Blue, he the published under Cool_Blue. Is anyway to change this name?     Nita, I think what you're trying to do is change the name of the project in a shorter file name while in general, you will have the shortest paths. If this is the case, you must simply renaming the project, then delete leftovers from the project a longer name on RoboHelp Server and you are home free.

    So, if you want to change the name of the project (rather than the name in the 'bar' of the browser, you must change the project name by going to > file > rename project)

    This s a warning reminder that to publish a project renamed on RoboHelp Server, you should remove the other oldest and republish the newly appointed project.

    So looking at your screenshot posted previously, the CIE would be to use sensitive available, but it could appear as

    Name: CIE Type: Responsive HTML5 Date of publication: etc. You should not "WebHelp" version if I understand what you're trying to do.

    I add the following text because there was some confusion because of new workflow in RoboHelp 2015 and the new RoboHelp Server 10.

    With regard to the "naming" confusion I'll try to decompress it. There has been some changes in the publication of things since the release of RoboHelp (2015) and, now, RoboHelp Server 10. For example:

    1. What we once called "Single Source Layouts' (SSL), we now call for 'outputs (SSL).
    2. It used to be that if you have been published on a Server of RoboHelp, it was mandatory to use an exit called WebHelp Pro.
    3. WebHelp Pro is still alive and well and can be used to publish in RoboHelp Server 10.
      EXCEPT when you want to publish sensitive HTML5 content to the new RoboHelp Server 10.
    4. In this case, if you post the more modern layout Responsive HTML5 option, it is appropriate to use a sensitive of HTML5 (SSL) output and select a HTML5 compatible screen available in the Pod to set up output.

    Looking at file names more far, here are a few file names and how they are used:

  • 2015 RoboHelp. How to open a spreadsheet (baggage file) of a PDF file created for review?

    Good afternoon.

    We have a subject with a link to an Excel worksheet that was added in the folder of hatracks.

    We are looking to replace all RoboHelp tables with spreadsheets added as files luggage because paintings don't convert well to PDF format and are not easily sortable.

    We often create a PDF file of control to provide a reasonable - looking for internal evaluation and output to some customers. (For two years, that we were not able to properly generate documents Word or PDF using a SSL. Adobe believes he has something to do with communication between TFS/Source control and RoboHelp).

    So I decided to see if a link to a spreadsheet would work.

    In the PDF, I click on the link and nothing happens.

    Anyone know how to make the link open the worksheet?

    There is the problem where the baggage file. I think that they are referenced as links that obviously won't work on other people's computers. You can submit a feature request to see if Adobe can figure a way to apply it.

  • 11 - Responsive RoboHelp vs HTML5 Multiscreen

    Can you tell me what is the difference HTML5 and Multiscreen HTML5? I googled and both say they are good for displaying documents on multiple devices.

    Which is more correct to use for display on multiple platforms?

    Hello

    Multivision HTML 5 was first attempt Adobe producing a HTML 5 to RoboHelp output. What is happening with this release, this is you define many types of devices through 'Profiles of the screen', and you generate the output and the end upward with as many copies of the output files you have defined profiles of the screen. Then maybe you have 400 topics. If you have defined a profile for desktop, iPhone, iPad, Kindle, Nook, Tablet and Android phone, you end up with 7 copies of 400 subjects. Each output will look a little different. In short, it is awkward and difficult to treat. You place all of the files and folders on your site or whatever and you people then direct to a single HTML page that "Sniffs" the environment and redirects it to one of 7 copies of output according to what it finds.

    On the other hand, RESPONSIVE HTML 5 consists of one set of output files. Instead of sniffing the environment and reorientation, the only set of output files reacts and is redéroule as a result. Much lighter. Much easier to customize. Customization of the Multiscreen is a nightmare. Reactivity is very simplified.

  • RoboHelp 2015: remove police any instance of a style attribute

    I work with a fairly old help file, imported from (I think) Robohelp 7. All pages are surmounted by a banner that uses the "title 1". I need to change the colors of "title 1" to match a corporate strategy. "" I've updated the corresponding CSS file. I have updated all pages to make sure that they reference the CSS file. On the pages I wrote since I've started work on the task, the new colors are applied as I hope - although at the time of the design, with a strange pattern of diagonal lines on the background color.

    The problem is with the old pages. While they also use the "title 1", they seem to have an attribute of police placed on top of the embedded style. This means that they do not inherit the white characters in my new style, they remain black, which makes it unreadable against my new background color. If I right click on an affected position, I can 'delete attribute' and the text in black become white as directed by the CSS. However, there are far too many pages thus affected to speak at all.

    Is there a way to delete all the attributes of police what whether having the style "heading 1"?

    Research includes a function starts with and ends with. You must be careful with it to return first.

  • Keep expanding text which has been modified locally before the update to RoboHelp 2015?

    I looked on the forum and read all the posts on the extension of text, but can't find the answer to this question.

    In RoboHelp X5.02, our project of 3300 subjects use expanding paragraphs of body text, DHTML lists drop-down and other styles. Expanding text was created by dragging a term to the glossary of a selected phrase or Word and changing glossary definition expand the text. When I open the project X5.02 in 2015 of RoboHelp and update, these hotspots in expansion of text will not open because there is no corresponding term. If not, the upgraded project and I have generated FlashHelp and WebHelp output successfully.

    Y at - it no change, I can do in the X5.02 project, which allows to retain this text changed to expansion?

  • Cannot publish a layout HTML5 sensitive on the RoboHelp Server

    I use the trial versions of RoboHelp 2015 and RoboHelp Server 10. We used the previous version of RoboHelp and RoboHelp Server to publish our help for some time. Our software moves or available to be consulted on various devices, so we try to test responsive publishing HTML 5 on the RoboHelp Server.

    When we try to publish the project we get one of two errors "Publishing has been abandoned. The FTP session was stopped. "or"failed to publish on "TEST_EM". Reason: the FTP session is over. "We have tried this on two machines different author and he can't get through.

    Steps to follow:

    1. We have set up a server with RoboHelp 10 installed.
    2. We have created a test project with RoboHelp 2015 with a sensitive HTML 5 layout.
    3. We could fill in the domain of the evil server directory but the documentation mentions about how to post HTML 5 reagent on the RoboHelp Server, or if this is the case, it does not match the actual screens. When you select a new destination, you get the following window that we learned to love previously, except that it doesn't have a refresh button which lists the server areas and it has this new "Directory Server" field.

    We have poured over the documentation and can't find what to put. We have gone through all the other connection protocols, and they do not seem to apply.

    RoboHelp Server Help says:

    Publish your RoboHelp projects (2015 version)

    (1) create or change Responsive HTML5, WebHelp Pro and FlashHelp Pro available.

    (2) do one of the following:

    • Right click the Responsive HTML5, WebHelp Pro and FlashHelp Pro in the Single available

    Source pod layouts and select Properties.

    • Double-click the sensitive HTML5, WebHelp Pro or FlashHelp Pro available in the

    Single Source Layouts pod.

    (3) in the Options dialog box, click next to move to the server selection screen.

    4) click New to create a destination of RoboHelp Server to post projects. In the new Destination

    dialog box, provide the descriptive name, server name, user ID and password to connect and

    authenticate on the RoboHelp Server.

    5) click on the Refresh button to get the updated list areas of the server. If you do not select a

    region, the project is published in the default zone.

    NOTE: To post to the default context (robohelp), enter the name of the server in the

    http:// < servername >: < PortNumber > format. RoboHelp adds

    / server/robohelp for her. Otherwise, to publish in one context other than robohelp, specify a full

    6) click OK to save the server configurations and close the new Destination dialog box.

    (7) click on save and build to generate the output.

    (8) once the output is generated, click on publish to publish the project to RoboHelp Server.

    NOTE: To view the project on the server, go to the RoboHelp Server Web Administrator and projects

    tab, select the area where you published the project.

    Unfortunately, there is no button update, as described in step 5.

    Other information:

    We were able to publish the WebHelp Pro project previously created on the new server, just not the HTML5 draft.

    The server logs show nothing on an attempt to logon we feel contact us even the server.

    I installed the update 3.

    Can someone tell what to put in this area or explain why we see not the button refresh?

    I am answering my own post in case anyone else runs into this problem. I had installed the update 3, but apparently it took a reboot of the machine to become active. After the machine shut down over the weekend and re-opening RoboHelp this morning, the RoboHelp Server connection protocol option is available in the new Destination window. When you select the option of RoboHelp Server publishes it successfully. Thank you for your help.

  • Users of RoboHelp Server 10: You have configured an external db using JDBC?

    I am trying to set up a new Server 10 installation with the Standard of SQL Server 2014, but I can't get past the Configuration in RoboHelp Server Manager.

    • I think that I created a correct database URL
    • I think that I specified the correct class of the JDBC driver
    • I am using a database user name and password I created in SSMS, so I know that it is correct
    • I'm fairly certain that I have specified the correct path to the sqljdbc_4.1.jar file

    And when I click "Test connection", all I get is "connection failed."

    Calling the docs from RoboHelp Server 10 on this subject "sparse" would be generous. Are there additional steps without papers I need to do first?

    Anyone out there even got it works?

    Finally I got it. The problem was two things:

    • The credentials of the user do not have permissions on the instance of SQL Server
    • The database URL has been unnecessarily complex. All that was needed was jdbc:sqlserver://localhost (by specifying a databaseNAME property actually prevented from working, for some reason any)

    Fix those two problems solved the problem and I was able to connect to the server.

  • Table of contents, lack of output Responsive HTML5 (Robohelp 2015)

    Problem : When I generate Responsive HTML5 output using a conditional compilation expression, there is no TOC in the output.

    I know that good content is included in / excluded from the output based on the research I'm doing in the output. The only problems seems to be there is no table of contents.

    This could be the cause of this problem?

    I will check later but it seems that you are missing a key point that I made in my previous answer (16 in the thread).

    You said that you have removed all the tags with the exception of a few topics. I said to apply a different tag to subjects you don't want not included but you don't have that, you have applied just 911 that you want and the TOC then included everything.     Note that any topic that has NO tag should be included in the output.

    So what you declare in your previous post. I am sure that all unwanted subjects with any other tag marking will fix things.

  • RoboHelp 2015: Problem conversion of numbered paragraphs

    Dear readers,

    For a project I need Robohelp 2015 to convert a text Word 2010 numbered section headers (1. Title 1, 1.1. Title2, etc.). I would like to as Robohelp to generate topics separated for each of these headers. Not numbered headers (default value of Word) it works very well, for numbered headings I get a single subject with headers converted to Favorites. Anyone knows how to generate topics separated for each heading numbered by Robohelp?

    I use Robohelp 2015 on Windows 10 Pro.

    Thanks a lot for your answer. You're right, I had checked Pagination, I forgot to mention that in my original post.

    Numbered headers are required for the project, unfortunately. After many tests I found what caused the document do not split into several pages on the numbered headers. In the Conversion Settings window, other parameters section, I had 'List Convert Word' also checked. This causes the headers interpreted as list items and not as headers, where they were not converted into several pages. Once I unchecked, everything worked fine. Currently I do not see why they have been converted to Favorites, but at least my problem seems to be resolved.

  • RoboHelp 2015 WebHelp output - does not display the previous content after HR 2015 update

    I have a client who created their WebHelp with the original version of HR 2015. The project file has been updated by someone who had already updated their HR 2015... not sure that this day they used. Updated 2 or 3 because it is a recent event. The result was that only new images have been published. Images of previous content - created before the update of HR 2015, no longer displayed images. At the time where the customer still has a computer with the original version of HR 2015 on this it's help. However, we do our best to solve this problem. They would like all their HR 2015 was updated to the latest version.

    Customer has also tried to generate a Word from the HR file document, however, new content has been included and the images of the old content includes incoherently. When the same file is opened in RoboHelp, you can see all the images in the content of the old and the new.

    Someone attempted to open the project file in a later version of HR and the files seem to be corrupted. This is all the information I have at the moment. I hope you all have a few ideas so that when I meet with them tomorrow I'll be able to look for problems that may arise.

    Once I got the actual files of the client, I was able to solve the problem by importing the old files to extract pod.

    Here are the steps I gave the client after you have imported the Snippet pod files successfully:

    1. Go to the nacelle of the code snippet and click Import.
    2. You can select the hts files that are missing from the files in your project.
  • RoboHelp 2015 (12.0.2.384): The search returns topics do not are included in the table of contents

    ENVIRONMENT: Windows 7 Enterprise SP1, 8.00 GB of RAM, 64 - bit OS, Office 2010, Adobe Acrobat X Pro, Acrobat Reader DC 2015.017.20050

    DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:

    • A single RoboHelp HTML project with three exits. One of the outputs is a 'validation' reference that has its own Table of contents.
    • Validation reference Table of contents contains a subset of the subjects in the main help system. For example, the help system main table of contents contains a folder named 'Administration '. This folder is not in the table of contents of reference for Validation.
    • The reference of Validation is displayed on a public web site. Therefore, we applied the tag "Non_public_info" contained in the topics shared that we do not want to appear on the public website.
    • WebHelp parameters are:
      • Validation reference TOC
      • No map file, no sequence to browse
      • Conditional compilation expression: NOT_Non_public_info_AND_NOT_StyleGuidelines_AND_NOT_TRP (we keep our Style rules in the project to facilitate access during development. TRP content must be rejected because it was not released.)
      • Exclude non referenced topics of output is selected.
      • Search options. Only 'Show Total number of search results' and 'View AND search Option in outputs' are selected.
    • After generating the WebHelp, we remove the files that we don't want (RoboHelp generates empty folders, even if the files are not in the table of contents.)

    PROBLEM: A search in the help of Validation reference reveals the topics that we think should not be included because the subjects themselves are not in the table of contents of Validation reference. For example, the section "Data quality analysis" is in the main table of contents help, but not in the table of contents of reference for Validation. Therefore, we do not expect the topic appears in the search results pane at all. But he does. When the user clicks on the subject, the "Resource not found" message appears.

    Nothing shows the topic Style_Guidelines because the StyleGuidelines label conditional construction applies to the entire folder and the "Style guidelines" book in the main table of contents. (Same thing for the TRP folder).

    QUESTION: Why are topics which are not in the table of contents and whose records are not in the project at all appearing in the WebHelp during a search? We need to rewrite the expression of conditional compilation or establish conditions differently. We assume not have topics in the table of contents, not including the topics not referenced in the output, and remove empty folders would be the way to go. Any help is welcome!

    The table of contents does not control what ends up in the output for output online. All content tagged and tagged content which is not excluded by the expression of construction will be included. The parameter 'Exclude topics not referenced output' more exclude all subjects which are not in the table of contents AND are not related to any topic which is included in the output.

    On the other hand, for the print output the table of contents control which is found in the output. I think that it will fire a lot of people.

    If you generate the help and that you do not remove the unwanted files, do you still have the error? If this isn't the case, you know that the topic is referenced somewhere in the content of the reference of the Validation.

    Here is the help of RH11. I can't imagine it would have changed, but you could do a search to verify a second time for RH2015.

    Exclude output not referenced topics

    Select this option to exclude any topic that exists in the project, but is not the default theme in page layout or is not referenced table of selected contents, index or sequence to browse, or any referenced subject.

    Note: RoboHelp shows the topics not referenced that are excluded from the output in the output view module.

  • RoboHelp 11 has a track changes function similar to that of MS Word?

    A help system within RoboHelp 11 on Win 7 editing system. Is there a way to track the changes I make so that they can be found in the FrameMaker or PDF Word I circulate for review?

  • RoboHelp 2015: Several output types that are not available when you open the project created with RH9

    I recently upgraded from RoboHelp 9 in RoboHelp 2015, and I have installed all updates. I use WebHelp output for most of my projects. I would like to use the new features of HR 2015, specifically the release of HTML5 sensitive; However, when I open a project created with RH9, this type of output is not available. This type of output, and many others is not listed as options can I choose from eBook including HTML5 Multiscreen, and others. I tried to create a new project with HR 2015, and import my RH9 project files, but the sensitive HTML5 output and others remained unavailable. Are there settings I can change into my existing project or HR 2015 in order to use these features and new types of output? Recreate all the subjects in HR 2015 seems to be a very undesirable solution.

    Operating system: Windows 7, 64 bit

    Right click on the pod output and select new.  All options will be listed.

  • No set of FrameMaker or Robohelp 2015

    I'm subscribed to FrameMaker and RoboHelp today received the confirmation e-mail and the load went on my card more than 3 hours ago. I managed to download but there is no associated serial number. There is a column for them in the download window, but it is empty. What do I have to wait for Adobe to get back to work on Monday?

    The other thing I thought was that there is no need for a serial number, but on the installation it ask certainly one.

  • RoboHelp 2015: Cannot close the project

    I have a project I've been working on since last Friday June 17, 2016. Yesterday afternoon, I could not close the file at the end of the day. I finally had to use the Task Manager to end task for the RoboHelp project. This morning when I opened my project my work seemed to have disappeared, but he was there and I had to import the 'ghost' files back into the project. However, he missed some work. I received an error message when I open the file on the .cpd file is deleted or corrupted, and I wish to import tasks that seemed to be ' % is.

    Today, the project will not close again. I searched the forum for a solution and have not found an answer. Can anyone help?

    Thank you for your suggestions. I always had the problem, so I called the Support Adobe technique. They were very helpful. Unfortunately, the problem was of my own making. I had, for some strange reason, had used special characters in several topic names. That was the problem. Once we removed the special characters and re-recorded all, the problem has been resolved. We think that there not also useful that I had the name of the project with a long name. We changed that as well. I didn't know the optimal length of name, however.
