Running a VI of a CD or DVD

Hi all

I was wondering if it is possible to create an executable file, so that I don't have to actually install on another computer, but just being able to run it via CD, DVD or any external drive.

Concerning

Basically, it should work like LabVIEW, but faster downloading.

Check out this link.  http://www.NI.com/download/LabVIEW-run-time-engine-2013/4059/en/

You say 2013 on a 64-bit computer.  I guess you run 32-bit LabVIEW on this machine as the vast majority of people would use.

    Hello

You can get this error because of things:

    1. The Visual C++ library runtime components are missing. (You should of reinstalled after remove them because this software requires their)
    2. A problem with this software, it is possible a conflict with another software.

If the problem is caused by #1, you can reinstall the latest version of the Visual C++ Library Runtime components and see if it solves the problem, but I do not know what version of the redistributable software requires.

    Package redistributable Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x 64)

  • Satellite L500 - cannot run the DVD-ROM games

I am currently having problems with my Toshiba Satellite L500 series. The problem is, I can run purchased audio CD, as well as DVDs of the films, but I can't run games DVDrom. Music CD will automatically start Media Player very well, as well as films in their corresponding players... Games (like Dragon Age Origins and Left 4 Dead) DVD - ROM cannot read, or be recognized. When I go to "Computer" and try to access the game, it says "no available disk. Please insert disc into drive D: ". So from what I understand, the CD/DVD-rom may not be completely broken if he reads all types, except for games to DVDrom.

Can someone help me with this please! It is quite frustrating because my computer is just now to a year! I wouldn't think that all computer companies sell computers that fall apart after a year... I was hoping that it was different with Toshiba.

Once more, the CD/DVD-ROM can read CD and DVD of the film, but NOT the games to DVDrom. Help, please! Thanks in advance!

    Hi adecker,.

Maybe it s caused due the upper and lower filters in the registry. You should try to remove as you can read in this article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314060

I had a similar problem that some discs can't be read more. And I went thorugh based forum to clean the CD/DVD drive lens with a microfibre cloth. Be careful if you do this and don't scratch the lens.

  • CD/DVD drives not working only not on the two PC running Vista, heeeeeelp!

Hi guys, two PCs, which is new, both running Vista decided that the installed CD/DVD readers shouldn't work!

The new PC reads a CD/DVD when inserted (lamps flash to recognize this is something), then nothing (Autoplay is configured to use iTunes ) so I'm going to, click on 'Computer' on the disc, and he says "insert a disc into the DVD drive (f) "

So, I installed the MS auto fix jobbie and it says ' insert readable media...» "I've had (several store bought CD and DVD all failed to save) then I tried to search the upper and lower filter using regedit, but there is no file with this name in the folder on the drive.

Apparently, it is specific to Vista, but suggested courses of action left me with an even worse urge to kick the bloody things around the House that I had when I tried to play the CD in the first place, any help from you lovely people would be most appreciated. Thank you, James :)

    Hello

If you have too many programs loading CD/DVD they can collide with each other as they
competition for resources. These will be workload often pieces of themselves in memory at startup
so it will have an effect, even if not to use. If you have installed some of these
lately trying to uninstall it to see if it has an impact.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    This troubleshooting help:

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive

    the parameters.

  • Satellite A205-S6808 corrupt driver CD-ROM/DVD-ROM - Code 39

My driver is corrupted for my CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive.

There is absolutely no support for my model on the Toshiba homepage.
I tried to download the drivers for the L L505 series since my tech friend said that he must have worked. He did not.

The parade of device upward, but I get a message from missing or corrupt windows driver.
I am running win 7 32 bit and the DVD drive is the same one that came installed when I bought the laptop.

This is the message I get "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device.
The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) »

    CAN ANYONE HELP?

    Hello

I m a bit confused how you managed to download the CD/DVD driver for the STRANGE internal (optical disc).
The point is that all Windows operating systems contain own driver Microsoft ODD that controls the CD/DVD drive.
That is why it s not necessary to load/install the drivers for the CD/DVD drive.

    I think it s a registry problem.
You should first go to Device Manager and should remove the CD/DVD of the system drive.

Next step is cleaning the registry.
Start regedit and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

After this restart of the unit
    Should work

    Welcome & good luck

PS; It is a model of cell phone US and all the drivers are located on the Toshiba U.S. page.

  • 500 - 516nc Pavilion: Pavilion that keep me from installing and running Linux

    Hello

I recently bought the Pavilion 500-516nc with preinstsalled of Windows 8.1. I was intending to set up a dual-boot for the computer, as the seller claims that this machine is suitable for a number of operating systems.  However, I can't install and run the operating system I want.

UEFI mode, the computer is not USB, or the DVD-ROM and does not offer to start from other sources, with the exception of the Windows boot loader, even after I disabled the 'secure' boot When I go to the legacy, I can actually run the other OS live USB or DVD and I can install it. However, the legacy would not boot from the HARD disk for some reason any (perhaps because the disc capacity is too large?). And I can't find a way to make the system work, I installed through legacy mode UEFI.

I would not return the unit to the store, because it suits me almost all the other senses, but this issue is a big problem for me. What can we do about it?

    Best regards.

    No452, welcome to the forum.

I ran the systems dual boot for years using Windows and Ubuntu, Linux.  The best way to do this, it uses two hard disks.  Windows do not play nice with the other OS' are on the same hard disk.

That said, if you want to install Ubuntu on the same drive, here's a guide that should help you:

    https://help.Ubuntu.com/community/UEFI

I tried several Linux distributions and found Ubuntu to be the easiest to use.

  • Whenever I have to play the game, I have to insert the disc 2 in my DVD ROM despite installing the game on my hard drive.

    Hello

Whenever I have to play the game, I have to insert the disc 2 in my DVD ROM despite installing the game on my hard drive.
Can someone help me with a cure for this (IE run the game without the CD?) I can run Microsoft Flight simulator without inserting the DVD in my DVD-rom.

original title: query on Microsoft Train Simulator 2001

I suspect that the game has Digital Rights Management in there (i.e., copy protection) and it checks for you ensure that you physically have the disc so that he knows that you are not a thief.  Many providers of game assumes that you are a thief and you prove that you're not demanding that the disc is in the DVD player when the game takes place.  What I do is to use a program like Alcohol 52%, a free program that can make a copy of a DVD/CD and include in the image copy protection so that you can use a DVD player virtual to mount the image file instead of having the real DVD mounted in a real drive.

  • Pavilion g7 won't DVD/CD boot

I have an almost new Pavilion g7 running Windows 8. I created a DVD of rescue of the Fix - It Utilities 14. I went to the BIOS and BootOption value for CD/DVD internal, recorded and you leave. The computer displays no error message at startup warm or cold, it starts just Windows 8.

Y at - it another option in the BIOS that interferes with the startup option specified as Secure Boot? Something else? Is there a place to get more information on what each option means no BIOS? The descriptions in the firmware are not sufficient to inform me.

If the unit has secured start-up, it must be disabled in the BIOS. If it comes with Windows 8, you need secure boot.

The location of secure boot and the wording thereof may be different from mobile to mobile. It can be marked as secure boot: toggle or it could be an option that can be changed between the secure boot or inheritance.

Secure boot will start only media having a digital certificate in the system. Currently, the device has a digital certificate for Windows 8 and it will only start Windows 8 If secure startup is enabled.

1 checked Device Manager - having said that it is working properly.

    2. open the computer and checked all connections are tight.

    3. I tried the update driver-said that she already had the best driver loaded

4 tried several cd is not able to write at all.

5 have a diagnosis HP drive. Run that and it says that the dvd + Rw is good.
