• A malfunction or feature?

  I bought my 8 GB Sansa Clip from Amazon about 6 months ago, but it seems to have developed a fault recently.  Before I return I wanted to ask someone if they had known the following and only so if there was a difficulty I could apply myself.

  Problems

  1: the clip starts more slowly than before, takes up to 1 minute to start to play

  2: battery life seems degraded by about 70% - and yes I am now the power button for 8 seconds to ensure it stops rather than switches mode 'sleep'.

  3: I can not remove all the songs of him, I tried to use the clip itself, which says it has deleted the song, but then back again once, I tried to remove pieces using windows and looks like they went, but then they are back once again.  Then I tried the format on the sansa option and he said - full format, but the songs are still there.

  4: clip (when his work) always begins on the same song, regardless of where I stopped even if I change the playback options, but to be honest, I don't have that reset it using to play several times.

  The update is not updated, so I guess that the firmware is up to date.  Oh I used about 50% of the 8 GB drive and the folder that I use is the music folder.  The tags are mostly ID3 with some WMV and even less without tag data, but the same songs were there when it was working fine before.

• Sansa Clip + and a Mac

  I have a Mac with Maverick 10.9.2. I was looking for an MP3 rather than the MP4 to iTunes. The Amazon comments suggested the Clip +.

  I closed iTunes, plugged in the Clip +, opemned music and dragged air from a CD. I got alrteady put the clip on MSC.

  I ejected the Sansdisk icon, unplugged and the Clip + says no songs. I did it in every way I can think of and no still no music.

  Am I missing something, is my defective video or is it simply not made for Macs.  FM works well make me think that the problem is only the Mac for Clip + communication.

  It is not incompatible - you just need to mp3 files that are compatible in all areas.

  What you tried to do with the CD would not work with an iPod either. If you look at a CD on a computer that shows the types of files, you will see a list of .cda files. These are basically the index on CD - they say the music (iTunes, Windows Media Player) Player where to look for the disk.  You put a bunch of the index files of tiny 44 KB on your player - they do not play. Not a question of compatibility, just wandering way work.

  CD needs always to be converted or ripped - Apple calls it 'imported' - so their files can be used in a music player - doPi, Sansa, Sony, phone, whatever.

  If you leave the default settings in iTunes it will tear .m4a files - files Apple owners. If you change the default settings for iTunes (search for the import settings, iTunes continues to move them around) then you can make it the default .mp3 320 Kbps, which is compatible with all autour.

  If you are an audiophile you want to rip in FLAC instead, which would take different software - but assuming that you use the high-end portable headphones music player less, to 320 mp3 is fine.

  If you have a library formats Apple iTunes, you can convert them to mp3 in iTunes. You can get a Zip Clip instead, or geek and use Rockbox to play the m4a files on the Clip.

  If you're new to CD, you can pull them out directly to .mp3.

  By the way, I hate both the latest version of iTunes. They completely screwed up the interface. You can try to roll back to a version that you like:

• Sansa Clip + doesn't turn on

  I need to know how to get a replacement for my Sansa clip.  It was purchased through Amazon on 2.19.14.

  It lights when not connected to the computer.  It remains quite dead.  It lights up when it is connected, and it is recognized by the computer.  I am able to transfer files when it is connected to the computer.  As much as I know it was not dropped or damaged.

  I tried things.

  I tried to reset the player several times.

  I tried to reformat the drive

  I plugged in the charger and left more than 2 days.

  I have it plugged into the computer and he left.

  Always as soon as I disconnect the computer it goes completely dark.

  Does anyone know where I should look for a charger to connect to my Sansa View to my computer?  I bought several years ago and have misplaced the connector.

• 8 gb Sansa Clip play more hard

  The other day I went to play my Sansa Clip and noticed that the volume was not its usual volume.

  I immediately thought of the volume...

  He was already at its maximum volume?

  I usually play either this device through a pair of Sony headphones or my son amplifier (to play music and electronic together through).

  These TWO devices have the same problems - the MP3 player simply has not played at the high plus volume.

  I haven't played around with what anyone on the device, the Clip had a life good and safe, not been stamped on, thrown autour etc etc.

  In my view, it is guaranteed for one year, but I did keep the packaging, etc. - he bought off Amazon.co.uk.

  It was done by the rearmament of the factory settings and selecting North America (even if I'm in Europe) who turned my Sansa Clip love to produce that its very nice!

  Just got a scandisk sansa clip + Amazon and loaded it think I put music on it but I can't hear anything. The screen reads music, but cannot get it to move on. My PC, it seems that the scandisk came loaded with music but can't seem to access to anyone. None of the pictures on the website are the same as mine eitherHelp

  Hello, after doing a lot of research in the USB wall and car chargers I find many stories of fries Sansa Clips in all directions. I have read and understood 5 volts is the limit for this camera, but I can't find the specifications listed anywhere and I am very confused as to what a safe charger would be together. There are a ton of them in the Amazon, but they do not necessarily list their specs, and most of them is not yet affiliated with SanDisk. I live in the United States and I don't own a cell phone, so I'm ignorant by complimenting the USB Chargers. I would appreciate some comments.

  Caveat Emptor on any one of these gadgets.  Only plug do not tell the whole story.  Sellers who such things in stock are known for his replacement by products by manufacturers without a name.  Everything just because the specs say they are within tolerances, does not mean that the product will be.

  This is one time I would spend an extra dollar or two and get something locally by a merchant of trust.

  I don't know what happened, just tried to use my sansa and it won't come at all.

  Although I knew that the battery wasn't dead when I used it a few days ago, I plugged the PC to recharge just in case, but the PC does not even recognize it.

  Have you tried the outfit that the switch to reset, but it's as if the battery is not even there!

  I don't understand and don't know what to do - help!

  I got from amazon, and am 2 weeks during the 30-day return policy so I don't know if I can return or if they'll tell me that's not their problem.

  As it is under the basic warranty of one year that comes with the "rocket", call Sandisk... 1-800-SANDISK. They're customer service is excellent! Well, for me it is. They do not replace the screen, but they must replace it. They can even come up with a response that will help all! Could you, if there is one!

• New Sansa Clip + turns, but in a foreign language

  New Sansa Clip + never gave me the possibility to choose the region or language. Later, I tried to manually "Reinstall" the latest version firmware to restart, but following the instructions resulted in no improvement. Any suggestions?

  Thank you! It worked, so I'm on the road to recovery. I didn't argue with Amazon to return the thing. I had an older Clip which lasted many years and never gave me any problems, so I was concerned when this new one did not work properly out of the box.

• Sansa Fuze not recognised by Windows 7 laptop

  My 8 GB rocket has been recognized by my computer laptop windows 7 the first day I got it, and now it happens as a device "unrecognizable."  When you look at the properties, I get an error Code 43, which means that the device has "reported problems."

  I have tried the following with no luck:

  -All USB ports in my laptop (including my USB Hub)

  -MSC/MTP/Auto modes

  -Cannot update the firmware because Windows does not recognize it

  Add/Remove the device manually in the Device Manager

  Anyone who has something else to try would be welcome.  Thank you!

  I have to admit that, seriously, I tried all of these crazy solutions for HOURS when I realized that I bought a cable non-sandisk as part of a pack from Amazon.

  I found my Sansa brand cable and everything works as it should.

• Problem loading of Sansa e260

  Hello, I bought 2 Sansa e260 player of Tiger Direct in January. One as one gift, one for my son. We work very well, but the other will not charge. I now have the element of return.  Since he ordered last January, was referred by Tiger to Sansa support.

  When plugged into the computer, it displays a battery icon green on the player, but when he unplugged everything just stops due to the insufficient battery charge.

  What should I do to make this work? Can it be fixed?

  The unit apparently has been renovated as well.

  Well, if it is a re-furb, Technical Support SanDisk won't not be able to help you, other than what seems to indicate, you buy a new battery. They honor only the 1 year warranty on units of '' news. '' With re-furbs, you are left at the mercy of the dealer who sells it to you.

  When it is plugged in, the lightning flashes, indicating that it is in charge? The problem may come from the battery... or it could be the charging circuit in the player. There is only one way to know, and that is to buy a new battery & try it.

  You can find replacement on eBay or Amazon for shipping incl. batteries. $10 / $20.

  Come to think of it, if you can lift the other away from your son for a while, you can replace the batteries in order to isolate the problem before spending money on a farm only to find the circuit load in the other player is fried. If you consider that it's the battery, then you can shop and buy a. If the player of your son is not load or feed the 'other' one, then you will know not not to waste your money on another farm. If this ends up being the case though, don't Chuck there still a lot of salvagable parts, you can use the reader to your son if you need them.

• Sansa Clip + gel

  Hey all,.

  I recently bought a Sansa Clip + (8GB) at Amazon, as well as a Micro SDHC 16 GB card.  The version of the firmware of the Clip + is v01.02.15A, and I am on Windows 7.

  In any case, the device has been gel during the movement of the song for the song and sometimes even powers off the coast.  Once the device turns off, it does not respond for 10 seconds, until it turns with the next piece.  There have also been moments where I need to soft reset.

  I deleted all the music on my device.  After watching a few similar topics, I have a few questions:

  1. How can I check for corrupted files?  I doubt that the files are corrupt, because they ran fine on my previous iPod.

  2. How can I resintall firmware?  It seemed to work for a person, but I don't know how to "reinstall the firmware.

  Do a firmware update (literally just install the latest firmware), then format the drive.  If it works well, I return it.

• Sansa Clip does not pass the stage of audio books

  Dear all,

  We have the problem that our Sansa Clip will not skip chapters of audiobooks. If you hold the buttons, fast towards the front/rewinds, but if you just click on it once, nothing happens. It is only in the audio books and Podcasts, but not in music.

  However, we have already owned a Sansa Clip 8 GB, which worked very well. Then we bought a second one (also 8GB) with the problem described. The strange thing: the same audio books work very well on the other Sansa Clip (same firmware version). Also strange: jump works with music files, so it may not be a hardware failure. However, we discovered this last don't bit recently, we already have it back and got another Sansa Clip 8 GB (third). Yet once again, jump does not work. I am suspecting that something with the files is wrong, but I'm intrigued by the fact that they work very well on our first Clip. They all have the same age, our first clip is just a couple of weeks and they all came from the same supplier (Amazon), so I guess it's the same batch.

  I think that you have access to the setting if you press the button in the 6 oclock position while playing an audio book. I think that there is a choice of menu for the settings of the audio book or chapter. I don't have the video right in front of me now, so I'm not sure about this.
