  You must install the VAP (value added package) for Win 7!
  The VAP is portable model independent and so you should be able to install the VAP, which was released for other models of Toshiba.

  I have a laptop Toshiba Satego P100-10F.
  Recently, I noticed that the underside of the laptop is REALLY hot. Especially on the lower left side.
  The function is perfect, but I am worried about the enormous heat to the top of my laptop.

  Can anyone tell me something about this? Is this normal?

  Why I'm so sure? Well, the phone supports protection against overheating. If the temperature is too high, then the laptop would be down automatically stops to prevent material damage!

  Unfortunately the blue speaker lights cannot be disabled!
  The blue speaker lights are only available on individual units of notebooks P100.

  All portable P100 with Intel graphic 945GM has been delivered without the blue speaker lights and the P100 with nVidia graphics card are delivered with the speaker lights.

  I was a proud owner of the Satellite P100-437 4 months already, but last week I started having major problems with my laptop. First of all, next day after I bought the laptop with Vista, I get off my laptop for Windows XP SP2 and everything was fine. I had all this work and I enjoyed my laptop a lot. Last week, I checked Toshiba web site for new drivers and I downloaded the new update of the bios 4, 00 - WIN and apply.

  After the headaches started. Suddenly, I lost my sound, but in Device Manager the sound card works fine. In addition, the small light in the wireless switch is missing and then the wireless device, saying also in the device manager that works very well.

  I backed up all my data and reinstall win xp, clean and I installed the audio drivers and nothing has changed, the sound is still missing. Same story with the wireless. Yesterday, I've been witness to something else, I have attached an external hard drive, that is with usb connection and also usb power, and suddenly the sound and the wireless back for everything, but interrupting and finally disappeared again.

  So, now, I wonder what to do and any help on this is appreciated. I work on cruise ships and my laptop it is priceless.

  I can't play WOW or Quake 4 on my laptop.
  Games don't work well. It is lagging and the noise makes noise.

  For me it s a clear case Oliver. The device could not be found error message appears because you have tired to install a bad driver.

  Satego P100-10F seems to belong to the PSPAME series.

  Therefore, you need to download the drivers for the laptop PSPAME! Be sure that you have chosen the right set to 100%!

  PS; I recommend you download the drivers from Toshiba European page because AFAIK the Satego has been designed for the European market.

  So I looking after a newer version, but right now, I still suck.

  As far as I know after that the BIOS updated graphics card driver should be updated also.

• Satellite S500-10F - slowed down and need BIOS update

  Hello, I would like to know if anyone can help.

  I work for a Borough Council IT Department, so it is quite safe to say that I know a fair bit on THIS and the side material things. We had an about 12 laptops Toshiba Satellite S500 delivered, 11 x S500 - 11 c and 1 x S500-10F. As we do not yet support windows 7 so he must rebuild in Windows XP, install the drivers etc, and send them to schools.

  I can see for this Satellite Pro model 2 drivers are available. The second is O2Micro controller version 1.1.4.207 card reader.

  Downloaded some drivers for my toshiba p100 240 and noticed there is a BIOS update, I downloaded and ran the program only so he can get to

  If there is no update EC/KBC special on the Toshiba site, I assume that it s included in the update of the BIOS. I've never seen such an additional update on the official website of Toshiba, so it seems to be a part of the BIOS update. :)

  I have a satellite P100-473 enriched with 4 GB of ram, using ubuntu 10.04 lucid 64 with nvidia driver.

  Problem with often increase GPU to high temperature (over 100 ° C) using sensors applet to check.

  Toshiba has offered traditional old BIOS updated (diskette), a long time ago. Now you can find WIN updates only.
  You can try to contact the closest service Toshiba and ask if they have traditional BIOS update.

• BIOS update fails on Satellite P100-429

  I had a bad flash on my Satellite P100-429.
  The utility crashed which left me with a bookend. Not happy

  I ve created a floppy crisis recovery disk & bought a USB floppy drive after a lot of internet hunting for info.
  Problem is that I need to check on the exact key combination for my laptop to the crisis recovery mode reverie.
  Power on I have the usual symptoms, LED flash, power for CD-rom, click on power of floppy etc...
  I just need to check the correct sequence for the combinations of keys.

  I n t have experience with these tools of recovery of the BIOS because I think it s a little too risky. There is no official way to recover a BIOS and I don t want to destroy the whole ROM module.

  In my opinion if a BIOS update n t successful, you should go to an authorized service provider. Contact a technician for laptop and explain your situation. The technician can try to reflash it and they have more experience. I think that this should t be a problem to connect with one. ;)
