Electricity on cRio

I try to write a control program for my reactor system, and I'm focused flow. I have the pump (0-10 VDC), but I can't figure out how to generate or modulate the voltage. I use a cRio, and I use the platform of scans, so I can't use DAQ. Could you please say.

Hello BioProcessNU,

There are several analog output modules for the cRIO. The type of module, you must use depends on how many channels you need. I've included links to some of the output modules analog National Instruments cRIO.

Here is a link to the four channels of analog output Module.

Here is a link to the 16 channels of analog output Module.

Here is a link to the sixteen channels with isolation between channels analog output Module.

  • The engine fault analysis

    Hi all

I use a CRIO-9075 with a NI9205 and Ni9263 to control the movement of a hydraulic jack. Activation and position/force signals are analog. I use the library softmotion to create an axis and take advantage of the generator of the trajectory and the control loop to execute in the FPGA.

I'm running the CRIO using FPGA and like softmotion for independent axis I synchronize RT and FPGA, for which I've read the engine periodically at 100 Hz.

The problem is that the analytical engine gets in a few seconds in fault mode. To return to the active mode, the only way is to reset electrically the CRIO.

I have attached an image of a minimal example in which to read the scan engine mode and read two panel controls before FPGA. The analytical engine returns 3 (default mode), but the variables read from the front panel are correct.

Have the engine of analysis in fault mode I cannot synchronize the RT and FPGA as in the example softmotion.

Why is my engine entering mode fault with the wrong 66341?

    Thanks in advance

  • False values of voltage using NI 9225 and ELectrical Power Suite 2014

    Hi all

I have a few problems regarding the use of a map of analog voltage NI 9225 with code exaple quality Applications of power (cRIO) (Delta-Sigma) of the Electrical Power after 2014. Running the example code I values of voltage wrong, they are exactly doubled! For exaple with a 230 V RMS input I get 460 V RMS. I think the problem is the module, because by default, the code example expects to use a module NI 9242. Before the upgrade to LabView 2014, everything worked perfectly with EPS 2013. Am I something missung? I configured the C module in the project manager in the same way that I used with EPS 2013. Can someone help me? Thank you

    Gianluca

    Hi Gianluca,

If you use other types of modules in the example, you must take care of the conversion of accuracy in the FPGA VI.

As FPGA VI resampling takes the signal of type fixed point +-24.1, you convert the +-24,10 and-24,5 to 24.1 in the Data Acquisition loop before feeding to the FPGA VI resampling.

And in the loop of data Communication, you restore the output of +-32,3 to 32,12 - signal + and +-32.7. Notice at the time the zoom in and zoom out are equal.

If you change other types of modules of different precision, you must change the precision of the given thread.

For example, 9244 accuracy is +-24.11, so when you convert it to +-24.1, you must restore it by variation of-32,3 to-32,13.

  • Using the CRio NI9265 module as current source

My apologies for what is pretty basic - I come to this Chem Eng background rather than electric. I have a CRio-9012 controller with a 9265 module 0-20 my (among others). The power supply to the CRio is 24VDC. I want to use one of the outputs as input to a power controller Watlow DIN-a-mite, which will lead in turn 10 a / 2.5KW heating.

The datasheet for the power controller indicates that the input command is powered by current loop linear, 4-20 my DC, requiring an available with 6.5 VDC power source. Am I right in saying that I should compare 6.5 VDC voltage compliance for this module (12 DC max), so this arrangement work?

    Kind regards

    Chris.

    Hello ChrisTighe,

That's right, that the installation will work.

The 9265 will display up to 12 VDC, and your device requires a maximum of 6,5 VDC.

I tried to remove and reinstall he grew and all its pilots, but the remains of the error, include the code I use the RT and FPGA.
Thanks for your help and any other necessary data asked me.

Looks like the sound and Vibration library is not present on the target of RT.  In order to install a library on a remote target of MAX, I think that the components of the library must be present on the host PC (as it is the source of the software being installed on the target).  Can you open MAX, click on the target distance and expand the software tab?  Is there a noise and Vibration library is listed as installed?

Your best bet is an accumulator.  I have one I got on Amazon by EC Tech.  It is a brick, but it will charge my iPhone and the iPad, if the current is cut off.  You just need to load the brick and keep it in an emergency.

    Hello nancy milano,.

Thanks for this info and choosing the communities Support from Apple. I know how important is able to complete your update to El Capitan at a later date! The good news is that you can simply delete the "install Mac OS X" install app in the Applications folder on your Mac. Then you can open the Mac App Store when you're ready to update and restart the download from the tab updates or searching through the Mac App Store for El Capitan. This is a resource that explains the process of update more:

    Hi all...

Not sure if it's my audio interface or the recent software update to blame, but this morning, I used my electric guitar with garageband perfectly without any problems. After that, I installed the 10.11.6 (15G 31) put day and after that, electric guitar Garageband a humming noise entry very loud as very intense static. My audio interface is Scarlett Solo that does not any drivers only, it connects via USB and works. If this update wouldn't have happened I could have blamed the device, also the microphone input works fine it's just the presets for electric that give me the question.

Anyone else have problems with electric guitar in Garage band after this update?

Thanks in advance for your time

problem solved. Apparently the fact that the update and the time where the question arose where it's just one of those unfortunate coincidences. It turns out it's the guitar cable. I replaced the cable and everything is back to normal.

  • AirPort Extreme & Electrical Outlet Timer

    Hello

I have the newest AirPort Extreme (http://www.apple.com/shop/product/ME918LL/A/airport-extreme?fnode=7f) and I recently moved to my room in my basement to the second guest room floor providing a 2.4 GHz and the private network wifi 5 GHz (two separate networks) to my house.

I read on the sleep disorders causing wifi signals and how it can cause generally negative effects be exposed continuously to EMF signals.

What I'm wondering is it would be harmful to my AirPort Extreme to put it on a timer plug (ELS https://www.amazon.com/Enover-Programmable-Digital-3-prong-Appliances/dp/B0191ZG/ref = sr_1_2? ie = UTF8 & qid = 1469557186 & SR...) so that I can program it to turn off the power to the router around 11:30 and turn it on again around 06:00; eliminating privileged exposure to EMF for me and potential customers during the hours of sleep?

I understand that many of us may be divided or not there is any real effect signals wifi on sleep/general health-it's NOT what I'm asking.

Everything interests me is whether or not it would be damaging for the router AirPort Extreme to cut the power at night via a programmer power socket and then to restore it again in the morning on a daily basis.  It will shorten the life expectancy of my router?  This will degrade the quality of my wifi over time signal?  Thank you in advance for the answers!

The debate about so consistently turn a device and off is better or worse that just leaving all the time has happened since household electronic appliances were introduced.

One school of thought argues that constant power down and the cycle puts more emphasis on the electronics inside that just letting the device at any time and this extra stress can lead to a shorter life for the product.

Another school says it does not matter as the power on and off the power of everyday, or has left the whole time that the life expectancy of the product is concerned.

Make your choice... good arguments can be advanced for or against powering a device works every day. Call him a link if you want, or return a coin.

Personally, I lean toward the school "let him", if not because the internet connection and network is likely to be more reliable in this way. In other words, if you turn off the airport at night and power it back up the next day, the airport will lose its Internet connection and network and be forced to establish a new connection when it is consumed in back to the top, with more chance of something going wrong.

Although I leave the airport on almost all the time, if I'll be gone for a few days or more, then I usually turn off the airport if I remember to do it before my departure... to save a few pennies on the electricity bill.

  • Portege M500 - electric shock on the front left corner

    Hello

I use my Portege M500 more than 10 hours a day to write and read.

What bothers me from time to time is a wake-up call that I get when my left wrist touch the corner front left.
So, I feel the shock that is minor, though only in a very sensitive part. Bothers me.

You give me an advise how to fix it?

    Thank you very much!!

    Hello

I put t know what could cause this problem but I highly recommend contact the ASP in your country.
I mean something like that should not happen and I think that the ASP technician must check the hardware

Perhaps these small electric shocks are associated with the charge of static electricity... who knows?  :|

In any case, you should get in touch with your local service partner in order to clarify this issue!

  • Where can I buy electric adapt or the connection to the use of the iPhone in London?

I'm going to London and should be able to charge my phone on their electrical outlets. I guess I just need an adapter. Can you advise me?

All you need is a wall plug adapter. These are only a little money... you can buy them online, if you have the time. Many airports have stores where you can buy them.  Apple stores sell a world travel kit, but it's quite expensive, the kit provides maps of wall to almost any country in the world.

    I paid $ 64 for mine.

Is there a risk for my laptop?

Is no danger to the laptop and the use of the laptop.
These symptoms may appear due to the electrical contact.
As mentioned by other members, these occurs because of the capacitive coupling in the diet by peripheral isolation connected to the power outlet.

You can solve this by using a power adapter 3 pins.
