Hello

To be honest your ad is a little difficult to understand

What you mean by install get it back? You want to install now Windowsxp or the Toshiba Recovery disk?

If you want to install Windows XP, you need the SATA drivers. You can find it in the Intel Storage Manager package.
Here is a useful document of Toshiba on this subject:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD9401AN0000R01.htm

But before you install Windows Vista, you must create the Toshiba recovery disc. Then you can restore the factory settings (Vista) at all times. If you don t have the Toshiba disk recovery you can restore the factory settings with the folder HDDrecovery on the E partition. You have the Toshiba recovery disc!
If you didn t that still run the Toshiba recovery disc Creator for this before installing Windows XP. It only takes a few minutes!

Check it!

Shortly after, the computer will not quiet i.e. no noise among readers and seems to stop and nothing happens. (we left on during several hours, just in case where)
Different disks of Windows 7 have been tried with the same result.
We also tried exchanging the hard drive completely and replacing it with a new drive with no success.
The computer is now running Windows 8 back without any obvious problem, but we want to run Windows 7!

  • Satellite A300 - w c:\windows\system32\rpcnet.dll and rpcnet.exe recognized as Trojans

    Hello

while I was scene analysis antivirus on the laptop Satellite A300-15 b, my software recognized w c:\windows\system32\rpcnet.dll and rpcnet.exe as Trojans and deleted. These files are essential?
How can I get back them? If someone of you cannot answer, I'd appreciate any help.

    Hemoth

What anti-virus software are you using and have you updated to the latest list of detection of virus/trojan?
To retrieve these files, you can use the windows repair console, which can be entered by pressing the F8 key before the windows operating system starts.
Will take you to a list where you repair or somehow mode called option.

If this does not work, you can try using recovery media.

  • Satellite A300-1CO - missing Windows XP Drivers

    Hello

Have a seller assured me that the Satellite A300-1CO (PSAJ4E) is fully compatible with windows XP, I just bought a.

After a few hours of the depth of evil, I managed to install Win XP SP3 and get almost all the components under it.

I have just 2 missing... Ethernet and a mass storage device (I think that its the card reader).

Howerver, I had installed the following drivers:

    Card reader controller - O2Micro
    Driver LAN - Marvell

Two components should not work properly?

And Daniel "controls - Toshiba" for windows ON THAT XP won't install win XP?

Another question... There are components that have more of a driver more... which ones should I choose? The most recent?

    Best regards.

    Pedro

The Ethernet device could be LAN wireless, and mass storage could be the Intel Matrix Storage Manager or Intel Chipset. You have installed these drivers?

Also install common modules, if it is available for this model.

  • Satellite A300-1RZ - stucks Windows 7 upgrade on the first step of the installation

    Hi all

I'm Italian, I an A300 Satellite with Vista Home Premium I paid 30 euros for the free upgrade to Windows 7, which reached my House yesterday. I got 2 DVD:
-1 to 'prepare' my phone: * TOSHIBA UPGRADE DVD *.
-1 upgrade operating system: * WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM UPGRADE DVD *.

+ The first step: + use the first DVD: all right, "the system is ready to install Windows 7, insert the second dvd. When I insert the other, I accept the license and after that, the first step of the installation: * "check system compatibility."
    * These steps is my problem.*

I reworded more than 10 times the praxis but it blocks at this stage, I left the laptop at this stage, throughout the night, but today morning she was always there, no progress, it is clear that there is a problem, but I do not understand if it depends on my cell phone or on the DVD.

I tried to boot the laptop with Windows 7 DVD inside, start the system by the DVD, but it ask me to format the partition where are the files of vista and is not an upgrade. I bought an upgrade just do not remove previous programs and do not format the first partition of the drive of my laptop.

How do, which can, I turn to?
Does anyone have the same problem?
    Does anyone know to escape?

  • Satellite M40: installation of Windows 7 Home Premium

    Hello

I am trying to upgrade my Satellite M40 (PSM40A - 03 K 009) for Windows 7 Home Premium, but towards the end of the installation, my laptop reboots and freezes you try to start Windows 7.

I restarted in safe mode, and it seems to get stuck loading \windows\system32\drivers\classpnp.sys.

I have tried everything I can think: Startup Repair running on the installation disc, install the latest versions of the drivers, update BIOS, disk reformatting, etc, but nothing seems to work.

    Can anyone help?

    See you soon
    Rob

    Hello Rob

Please don t get me wrong, but this old notebook was designed for Windows XP Home edition. I imagine that you have problems with the installation of Win7, but I'm afraid that there is not much you can do about it.

This laptop old models are not supported for Win7 and Toshiba will not offer some updates as the BIOS update. If you want to use the newer operating system probably you must also update your hardware. Maybe it's time for the new laptop computer. ;)

    > When I insert the CD, the "install Windows Server 2003" is disabled
What do you mean by people with disabilities?

You are not able to boot from the CD?

In these cases, please press the C button immediately after switching on the laptop. This should allow booting from the CD/DVD drive.
Alternatively, you can try to press the F12 key instead of the C key. This should allow the start menu. Then you could choose the STRANGE as boot device and might try to boot from the CD-ROM Server Win.

  • Satellite L300 - installation of Windows XP

Why so many people are installing XP on Satellite L300?

There will be more soon, so you will need to use Vista or newer.

    Hello!

    Why are you asking this?

I think the reason for this is why Windows XP is still supported and don t need resources as long as Vista. In addition, I know a lot of people they don't similar to Windows Vista.
For example, I use Windows XP too. I like more that Vista because I don't like Aero and XP design is, in my opinion, easier to use than Vista.

    Good bye

If you have formatted the drive HARD second it shouldn't be a problem at startup of Windows.

You burned the recovery disk? Then boot from it and install the laptop.
