Satellite C650 - Touchpad problem

Toshiba Satellite C650 - 13G PSC08E I found that the touchpad, wasn't work and left click did not work, tried all the fixes on the forum.

Check the BIOS and update
Function key, fine activated

That all controlled parameters appear in order, so I assumed a defective left click button.
I bought the new palmrest with touchpad and after exactly the same problem.

I can get it to work as a left-handed mouse, right button works as the left should, all other functions are fine except not left click.

Surely, I couldn't be pretty unlucky to have bought a palmrest with broken so left click button (it's new)

Any help would be appreciated

What I will say maybe you were simply no chance and you had installed another faulty touchpad module, but to be honest, it will be very strange

In my case, the control panel? mouse? last tab (Setup button) contain additional options to control the touchpad features.

My laptop uses the touchpad Alps and the Alps touchpad utility is installed.
This tool provides additional parameters for touchpad left and right, click.
I did not change these options, but of course it of possible to disable the left and right click in this area.

    Hello

I have laptop Toshiba Satellite C650-16R and legal windows 7 installed so I have not installed all the drivers except the graphics card because the resolution was not good. Now my problem is that I have some missing ethernet controller drivers and I don't know which is which.

And the real problem is that my internet is not working when I connect it to cable internet. In fact, when I plug in the cable simply does not recognize it at all. As I plugged it in nothing. And I don't have any network connection, I do not have this option.

I'm not an expert, I know only a little of all of this so if anyone could help me what to do, I would be very grateful.

If I understand you right that your laptop is, in general, not ready for use if you didn't install anything except the display driver.

Until we start discussion can you tell me why do you not own BONES. Your laptop was delivered without an operating system?

  • Satellite C650 - battery problem

    Hello

I've got this Toshiba Satellite C650 about a friend who gave me it reinstall Windows7.

Before you reinstall, I noticed that the laptop has not activate on battery. When I pluged the charger he started and it started once ran on battery without any problem. Also, when it is turned on and that the charger is removed the battery icon do not show how much time left and show unknown time remaining in place.

When I reinstalled Windows does not solve the problem.
I've updated the BIOS, but still does not solve the problem.
I started to think that it's a hardware problem.

The laptop is new - age one month.

I'll be very grateful if someone could help me or point me to the solution of this problem.
The laptop is still under warranty, but I decided to ask here first and here are some other opinions.

    Thank you!

    Try this:
Remove and disconnect the battery and the AC adapter.
Now let and don t touch the laptop for some time (2-3 hours)
Then press and hold the power button / stop along 30 sec.

Now connect the battery and the AC adapter and keep it charge until the battery indicator would turn to green (or blue)
Then turn on the unit and check how it works.

PS: its always recommended to calibrate a new battery, that means that the battery should be completely discharged and recharged until 100% was achieved.
This procedure should be repeated several times in the line

    Several keys do not work.

As far as I know that nothing happened, as water damage.
Any ideas... (my question mark does not at all)!

If I m remembering that some people have posted on similar problems. The BIOS update should fix this.

  • Satellite C660 - touchpad problems

    Hello

I have problems with the touchpad on my Satellite C660. I have only had it for about 2 & 1/2 months, and the problem seems to be worse.

I tried to check for drivers, changing the settings of the touchpad, but nothing helped.
The main problem is that when you move your finger on the pad, the cursor will not move, however it also scrolls the page more or less important size.

I'm quite frustrated because it is essentially a new machine.

Everyone has ideas, or should I try to get replaced by a new one.

    Thank you

    James

Looks like you're triggering gestures. For example, if you press the right side of the touchpad, it will allow the scroll bar.

You can disable these features in the advanced Touchpad settings.

    Hello

I don't know since when you have this problem, but it will be interesting to know if the appliance has been dismantled, but if the unit is not building together on the right track, it is possible that the touchpad will not work properly.

  • Satellite C650 - screen problem

    Greetings!

I have a laptop Toshiba C650. And I have a problem. Today, I went to the service because I had a problem with LCD display. But when today arriwal, I have a few problems. When I turn on the screen always include gel

    Please help me!

    Sorry my bad English.

    > When I turn on the screen always include gel
    What does this mean exactly?
    The screen is dark?

I think that if the laptop has been checked and repaired by a technician for laptop and if you have still some problems with the material (display) then you should contact the ASP even once more and should clarify this issue
Maybe the technician has made some mistakes while fixing this problem

    It is my opinion...

  • Satellite A100 - Touchpad problem

    Hello

    Can anyone help?
I have just brought an A100 and downloaded all the updates for my machine (with the exception of ME7).

Since the updates, the mouse is eratically work, particuarly over the touchpad, my USB mouse works well. I changed the settings, I downloaded the latest version from the web site of Toshiba, I uninstalled and reloaded the software and the touchpad still does not work properly.

Every so often the USB mouse wants to go to a different point on the screen without human intervention!

I checked the IRQ, and there is no conflict of interest.

I am running XP Media Center

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

Maybe that sounds a little weird, but have you tried to reinstall your windows? I know, it's very annoying to reinstall an OS, but you said after the installation of your updates of your mouse/touchpad started acting like you described. With the reinstall (recovery), you can specify if your problem is just associated software.

    Hi ralwat,

Interesting, but what operating system, do you?

I put also t know what the problem is exactly, but you should check if there is a newer version of the WLAN driver on the official website of Toshiba. The problem is maybe a problem of driver driver update would be useful:

  • Satellite Pro C650 - loading problems

I am having some problems with my laptop Satellite C650 charge.

When the charger is connected to my laptop, the battery shows "Plugged In and not charging.

However, when I remove the power cord, after that it is bound for several hours the laptop stays on for at least 2 hours!

When I turn it off everything then try and turn on my laptop the next day that nothing happens.

I guess the battery finally packed in (it's almost a year).

I bought a new battery & put in my phone off to charge several hours until the green light came. I removed the power cord & the laptop off immediately!

I heard that the bios update might be a solution. However, I tried the update from version 1.60 to 1.90 but kept getting the error message "card not found error Region".

    Please help me with this.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • Satellite P300-1 year - Touchpad problem with AC adapter / CC

I have a laptop Satellite P300-1 year and from the beginning (two weeks)
I have a touchpad problem: it will not immediately responsive and the pointer shakes when pressing the key. Very often, it freezes for only one or two seconds.

It's VERY annoying. A USB mouse works perfectly.
I tried to reinstall the drivers of the ALPS, tried Synaptics ones, just try Windows Vista drivers: no way.

Now, I found the reason: this question is present only when the laptop is powered by the AC adapter / CC.
With the battery, the touchpad is perfect.

I contacted Toshiba Service and thay said that they do not change the AC adapter if I don't mean before a full system restore!
Is it not more simple just try with a new adapter and then only, if the problem persists, try more drastic procedures?

    Anyone had this same problem?

    > I contacted Toshiba Service and thay said that they do not change the AC adapter if I don't mean before a full system restore! Is it not more simple just try with a new adapter and then only, if the problem persists, try more drastic procedures?

The point is that your laptop should be always verified using the Toshiba factory setting.
Why? Because the ASP wants to make sure that this issue is not related to a software problem (compatibility problems with applications 3rd part). Software problems are not covered by the warranty.

In addition the ASP will always recover the laptop before the verification of the pieces of equipment to malfunction. Therefore, you should always back up your data from the HARD disk until you send the laptop to check.

I recommend you to reinstall the operating system using the Toshiba recover disc and then check if the problem appears.
If yes you can contact ASP and could provide all the necessary details for only one technician.

    Good bye

  • Temporary solution to load problem with Satellite C650

I here provide a temporary solution to loading with Satellite C650 problem, which I have faced.

First of all, I've updated my BIOS. After that, I removed the battery and plugged AC for 2-3 minutes.

Then replace the battery and it loaded.

However, the battery got charged up to 99% only and after that the interrupted load and the load remained at 99% and renewed battery indicating "plugged in, not charging."

Therefore, each time I hv to repeat the procedure above to charge my battery.

If any1 has the solution to the prob. above, it would be gr8 to hear.

    Thank you very much!

    Thanks for your posting.
To be honest I really don t know what else you can expect and test it with new battery.

I think that your laptop model must always have a warranty valid, right?
If so, contact Toshiba nearest service provider and ask for replacement.

  • Problem with portable Satellite C650 of load

    Hi all

I have some problems with my laptop Satellite C650 charge.

When the charger is connected to my laptop, the battery shows "plugged in, not charging". Furthermore, the battery charge decreases or increases when the charger is connected to my laptop.

But when I remove the charger, the charge on the battery begins to decrease. For now, I have maintained the charge on the battery to 83% (to always plug my charger for laptop) so that I can work on my laptop at all times.

I can't decide if this is the problem with the external charger or battery inside the laptop.

Please please suggest me how to solve the problem.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

Seems that you have already solved as posted in the other thread:
