Satellite C855 - 1 GR - No HDD Recovery Partition error - but there is!

I dropped the C: Partition without touching the hidden recovery partition (the first partition on the disk) and make a new partition D: for data.

Now the recovery program is unable to find the recovery partition which is still intact and unchanged.

How can I get a drive recovery done now?

Is it possible to change the drive letter of the hidden partition for recovery it is?

I put t know what OS do you use but first partition has nothing to do with the Toshiba Recovery files. First partition is the WinRE partition and it is up to the operating system.

Your ad doesn t offer some important information for a better understanding.

What model of laptop do you have exactly?
What operating system is preinstalled on it?
Is preinstalled OS original OS that you ve you have with your laptop?

I am looking to re - install Windows using the Toshiba HDD Recovery software on my hard drive to restore the computer to factory settings.
I followed the procedure to do this in the System Recovery Options, but received the following message is displayed:

"The recovery of the operating system is impossible!
Not found the HDD Recovery folder on the second disc of the first hard drive. There is no valid disk HARD recovery environment on this computer. »

    More details:
Before you do the above, I supported the system and the files and folders using AOMEI Backupper. I then made the mistake of the merger of C: D: and E: partitions, E: contained HDDR files.

After having tried the recovery above and receive the above message, I reinstalled the file system I had saved on an external hard drive, which resulted in a copy of the drive C: and E: drive with HDDR files.
Unfortunately, when I tried to recover the operating system, the same message appeared.

Then I tried to use a system restore disc, I had created a few weeks ago, but concluded that, for some reason that CD is empty.

The good news is that the computer still works - slowly - and HDDR files seem to be still there, but for some reason, inaccessible.

What are my options? I want to go back to initial factory settings so that I can go back and re-install the programs and files that I want to. (I backed up all my files and have records of installation for programs).

If the worst comes to the worst and I have to buy a Windows 7 disc (if that's even possible - I don't want Windows 8), it would be possible to install on this computer and it would give me a clean install, without any of the garbage which is currently cluttering up my computer?

Thank you for reading, and I would be grateful for any advice you can offer.

In your case, the situation is clear: HARD drive recovery facility does not work?

  • Satellite P750 (PSAY1A) - How update the recovery partition?

Now that I found out that using the recovery on a new HARD drive would create the recovery Partition... comes the question... How do I update the recovery partition.

My Toshiba Satellite P750 (PSAY1A-01Y022) the factory settings has 132 update of Windows that should be applied during the first pass. I had to run Windows update 4 times before she shows "up-to-date". Not to mention drivers Toshiba as well.

I also want to include some applications (Microsoft Office and other software and utilities)...
Overall, I spent 2 days just to bring it t the State I want in.
But I can't just access the recovery Partition (of the less any of this!)

If you look at disk management, the recovery Partition is not a Volume name and that the file system is empty. If I right click on the recovery partition... all I see is "Help" Option

I tried to assign a drive by using Diskpart letter... but it doesn't show much.
My guess is that it is GBT/EUFI.

Does anyone have experience updating the recovery Partition?

    > Now that I found out that using the recovery on a new HARD drive would create the recovery Partition... comes the question... How do I update the recovery partition.

What do you mean by update recovery partition?
The recovery partition should NOT be touched!

In which case you'd change the partition, the HARD drive recovery process could not be started!

Probably, you have not understood the meaning of such a HARD drive recovery procedure.
It's the option provided by Toshiba and the recovery of HARD drive allows you to establish the notebook to factory settings; on the same State as at the first day of the purchase.

    > Is it possible to recreate the partition?
I know it s not possible to create it again without use of the Toshiba Recovery disk AFAIK this partitions contains also some brands that are necessary at the start of this partition.

    > Or create a files recovery disk? -
I have the program of recovery-disc-creator if possible continue to use?
Toshiba Recovery disk creator tool usually needs the HARD drive partition to create the recovery disk. But I doubt it will be functions if you've already deleted this partition.
But nevertheless, you can see it.
Create the partition (Vista disk management), copy these files on this partition and check if the Toshiba Recovery disk creator tool would find it.

If not, I don t think you could create this partition of HARD drive

In this case, you will need to purchase a Toshiba Recovery disk

  • How can I configure Satellite A300-148 boot from the recovery partition?

    Hello

I had some problems when trying to install MAC - OSX, for her, where the partition table is deleted, then I retrieve the entire score as it is, but I can not start in any case.
Then I decide temproraly install another copy of vista drive Vista (not the partition), then set up my laptop to boot from the recovery partition and reinstall the good copy.
My problem is, it's all here, the only problem is, I need to configure the system to boot from the recovery partition.

    My device is:
    Satellite A300-148

    Thanks to the device.

    Hello

If you have already changed the partitions of HARD drive and deleted files from the HARD disk, then your HARD drive recovery is too bad!

But to make sure that the HARD drive recovery is not possible please press F8 immediately after the power of the laptop. Usually a start menu should appear and you should be able to choose the option called fix my computer. Then you should be able to choose recovery option.

But like I said that this is only possible if your HARD drive was not formatted!

If you have formatted the HARD drive and changed partitions then you will need a Toshiba DVD recovery that you have not because you didn t he create at the beginning. Is this good? Well, then you must order the recovery DVDs if you want to retrieve the laptop to factory settings.

    Welcome them

  • How do I remove the HDD Recovery partition D folder?

    Hello

I have the folder called HDD Recovery aprox. 3 GB on disk D (OS Windows XP SP3).
I want to delete without cleaning partition and information about it.

Can anyone give me the solution of this problem?

Can you please tell me what there is problem for you?

You can simply remove this folder and... bye recovery image. After doing this, you will not be able to install the operating system using the HDD recovery procedure (F8 fix my computer).
So before that, you create DVDs of recovery for other facilities.

  • Satellite C855-2F1 - internal Windows 8 recovery tools does not

I think I want to clean the hard disk and manually, re - install Windows 8 from a good USB stick, however I do not see the product key of Windows 8 on the underside of the machine. Is it hidden somewhere else?

Also, if I have to re - is install manually, possible to recreate the recovery partition?

    Thank you very much
    Rob

    Hello

I guess you want to retrieve the computer laptop back to the factory settings.
To do this, you have two options:

    (1) use the internal HARD drive recovery procedure:
    Details here: [Windows 8 recovery & repair | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2A03ES0000R01.htm]

    (2) you must use the Toshiba Recovery Media creator to create first recovery media (disk or key recovery USB flash Recovery)
Then start the laptop using this support would begin a new installation of operating system and would be to install the image of Toshiba. This image is already activated and needs no series keys.

  • Satellite Pro C660-225: shrink the recovery partition englarge C partition

When I first came to this product, prior to the opening, I thought that all 500 GB would go to the first partition, but then I saw that the recovery partition has half the 500 GB just for recovery which is unnessecery.

But I had no problem with it at the time and used the recovery (after the backup to a disk) for ubuntu partition, so I have a dual boot.

But now I came to realize that the games I download are taking up more room on my C drive. The problem I have is that I can reduce my recovery partition and expand the C drive.

Does anyone know a work around?

You will need a 3rd party software to reduce the recovery partition and add the partition of the free space in the existing C.
I would recommend a freeware tool called Gparted

But before you start this making, create a recovery disc!
This is recommended in the case where you would try to put the computer laptop configuration using this disc.

  • Satellite L350: Can not access the recovery partition by pressing 0

    Heya

I can not access the recovery on a Toshiba L350 Manager. I tried pressing 0 (zero, two of them) at first to access HD-recovery, but nothing happens. Is there something obvious that I'm missing?

The reason why I want to access is:
I have a l350 Toshiba with a partially installed windows here. For now, he gets the "starting Windows" and "instalation program's services began" (in Norwegian) which stops with a popupbox saying: "the computer unexpectedly inexplicable, or an unexpected error has occurred. The site amenities cannot procceed. To install Windows, you will need to click ok to restart the computer. Start the installation process. ».

What started the problem was that during the last part of the installation (after Win7 becomes usable, but above all has been installed), escape was pressed, and the computer has been used normally.

    > I can not access the recovery on a Toshiba L350 Manager. I tried pressing 0 (zero, two of them) at first to access HD-recovery, but nothing happens. Is there something obvious that I'm missing?

    I assume you are using a European model for laptop and so you should try it;
-Press on F8 laptop computer power on.
    -Then choose fix my computer
    -Then Toshiba HDD Recovery.

This should allow you to start the Toshiba HDD recovery process.

I have a hp recovery partition on my laptop, and I want to recover my PC.

I go into the Recovery Manager, windows system restore is available, but the HP system recovery is grayed out and unavailable.

I don't know what to do, is partition recovery for windows 7, but since I upgraded to Win8.1, I had a lot of problems, and I want to go back.

Please help me if you can.

The system recovery option means that it seems to be corruption or another problem with the score of recoveryt.

As is the case, then you would use the recovery (USB or a game disc) media, you have already created to perform the recovery.

If you have not created a recovery media, you will need to order a recovery USB stick (preferably) or a record of recovering HP or HP partner. The cost is usually about $30,00 USD

  • Recovery partition exist but the RESTORATION is not possible

    Hello world

I have a problem for my laptop (Dell XPS 15) recovery. I have the RECOVERY partition on my computer with all the files... all together 7 GB including Factory.wim. During execution of the restore process, described millions of times on the internet, I've not found an option with "DATASAFE."... "neighter"restore to factory State. I tried different ways, but the main thing is that the COMPUTER does not see the FACTORY.wim. I get notification indicating that the IMAGE file was not found. What could be the reason and how can I solve this problem.
Thank you very much for all the feedback.

    Damian

    Hello
Sometimes, the problem is solved by the person who posted it... and when his ppl makes you forget the forum.
Therefore, here. I had a partition that had all the files recovery. But, as mentioned previously, I could not restore to factory stage.

What I did was copy THE FILES from the recovery partition RECOVERY (there is a folder named Recovery) in windows-> recovery... or as long as the file is placed in your computer... I had to look it up.

Bottom line is I search in MY COMPUTER the EXACT files that were contained in the file Recovery on a recovery Partition and replace them. (of course, to make a copy in CASES WHERE). When I started computer even once, I could already click the ICON of RECOVERING FACTORY...

YES, it WAS so SIMPLE... and no HELP DELL MOVE FINGER IT...!
    Hope this works for you

  • Re: Satellite L350-170 - cannot use cloned recovery partition

I have a laptop of s Satellite L350, one friend that I tried to fix it, but the HARD drive is faulty, so bad, that I can't create the restore disks. I cloned the image to another HARD disk partition (Yes, I created 2 partitions) which is a western digital, for some reason any when you press F8, I can't in the restore option, but I can't the disk faulty, is - because you use a Toshiba HDD only?

    Thanks in advance

    Chris

    Hello Chris

It has nothing to do with Toshiba HDD. This option works when the laptop is preinstalled with original recovery image. This with cloned partition will not work and recovery of HARD drive option will not appear in the advanced boot options.

Only when you install Recovery on this new HARD drive image, going to market.

One last thing: this old L350 works fine with Win7 32 bit so if possible install instead of using original Vista.

  • Satellite C650 - cannot access the HDD recovery to restore Win7

    Satellite C650

Windows partition has been destroyed, I have a copy of the recovery of HARD drive to an external drive, but using a disc of windows7 to start on windows does not recognize the recovery of hard drive as being any information system so will not restore the original windows and Toshiba Utilities.

Press F8 and keeps O press the button of not raising the the menu with the option to restore.

No clue as to how I can extract / use HARD drive recovery I

    Thank you

Problem is this recovery saved disk image external DRIVE cannot be used. In s manuals document is clearly described that the owner of the laptop must create recovery media. This recovery media can be a DVD disc or USB key, depending on the model of laptop.

What you can do now is to restore disc original order or to install the clean version of the OS with installation of Microsoft disk but it is also not the best solution.

What do you think of all this? If you have any other questions you are welcome.
