Satellite M35x-s109 - screen is black, the fan works momentarily then nothing

I have a Satellite M35x-s109 (4 years and more under warranty). I went to turn on the laptop after being in hibernation for a few hours.

The fan kicks on momentarily - then stopped working. The screen displays a picture very very low sign windows on the screen but nothing else. I can not even a cursor appears. It is powered as indicated by the Green led on the front of the laptop. The battery is fully charged. I tried to connect with the power adapter as well. I tried to connect an external monitor to the laptop.

The only image that appears is the Windows form indicating which loads. Then after a few seconds of loading, the image on the external monitor is empty and the monitor goes into sleep mode. The laptop is turned off automatically or custom fade at all and the only way for me to turn it off is to take out the battery.

Any ideas what's wrong with the laptop? Thanks in advance.

It's very strange question. try to remove the battery, leave cell phone 20 minutes without any food and try to start with power current only. Try it without, and later with the external monitor.

When the external monitor goes into standby mode, try to use the FN + F5 key combination to see if you get the image on the external screen again.
Play a little with it. If nothing is done it may be something serious with the screen and I'm afraid that you need professional help.

  • The fan works like a crazy and super fast drain battery after installation of Sierra

I installed Sierra on my MacBook Pro, the fan works like crazy and the battery is empty after about 1.5 hours. Which never happened before. I'm only using Safari and Mail in the moment. I talked to Apple Support and they suggested to reset the SMC, but this brought no improvements. What can I do else? Again, I plan to install the El captain...

I had this problem just after I installed Sierra on my MacBook Air.  First I tried to reset the SMC and the LANDAU.  This does not prevent fans constantly in the course of execution.  I then used the activity monitor to see what was possibly strain my system.  I noticed the "DCs" process was always sucking up to more than 90% of my CPU usage.  However, others said that it is normal after an upgrade of the OS and it should fall back down once the computer finishes its initial picture and analysis of the files.  So I run my MBA plugged nonstop for 36 hours in a row and the fans just kept running so that the process of "DCs" continued to drain at > 90% of CPU usage.  I also looked carefully at the activity monitor and saw that tasks such as analysis of photos had their own separate process "DCs".  So I dug further into what the devil "DCs" was really do with a lot of CPU resources.  Long story short, I found that there is some glitch in Sierra which causes the macOS stuck on a process involving the keychain and iCloud.

That's what I did to fix this keychain/iCloud which led to "DCs" fans of triggering and overloading the CPU to be always on:

-In the activity monitor, I used Force Quit to kill the process that involved the keychain

-In the activity monitor, I then Force Quit the process that involved icloud

-In activity monitor, I finally Force closed the process "DCs". (I found that I could not simply force quit 'DCs' without first allowing the keychain & iCloud first)

-After all, I restarted the computer and fans were finally off the coast!  I open the activity monitor and saw that 'DCs' has is no longer hogging up the CPU usage.  Photoanalysis process were still running in the background at 40-50% CPU use with no trigger unwanted system fans.  the iCloud synchronization and my keychain also worked very well.

I'm finally able to use Sierra without my fans blazing out of control.  It took me a while to get this sorted out.  Hope this helps to save you a few headaches and time until Apple can get counts that there is this Sierra software glitch they need to address.

  • Qosmio F50 - the fan works more often?

    Hello

I installed the display driver Windows 7 32 bit in 32 bit Vista and it worked almost fine except that the fan works for shorter time compared to when Vista 32-bit driver is installed.

Is there a way to make the fan work more often or always while aware that the driver 32-bit Windows 7 is much better, but increases the temperature of the laptop?

    Thank you

    Hey

The activity of the fan will be controlled automatically and there is no value that you can change. All you can do is to change the cooling method in Windows power management. For each level of power, you can change between maximum performance and battery optimized. If you choose a maximum performance of the activity of the fan will be higher.

But not don t. Important worry is that you have installed the Toshiba display driver and if your laptop overheats it would must down to protect the equipment.

You have disconnected the display while you cleaned up the laptop?
Are you sure that the display is connected correctly?
    Check the cable?

    > The laptop shows that read the hard drive and the processor works well.
How do you know that? Flashing LED HDD?
You know, it's not easy to say what may be the problem.

You can also try testing with external monitor.

Problem is when I try to open my laptop power button gets blue and fan works but screen Toshiba comes in 13mins. and windows opens normally in 1.5mins and, after this computer works fine. Hello

I agree with Lucky. Before going to the Toshiba screen laptop check the operation of the equipment.
This isn't a software problem. As mentioned, you can try to update the BIOS, but please be careful. If the BIOS update nothing change then I recommend to check the bars of memory. Please remove a module to control the second module.

  • Satellite L10-333: screen stays black, until I hit the edge of the screen

I have a Satellite L10-333, which is about 3 years old, it has suddenly started having screen problems.
It started with a white screen instead of the normal and a black line all downstairs in the middle.

Now when I turn on the pc, the screen remains black and dead until I hit the edge of the screen and when the screen comes alive, I must hold and press part of the cover, so that the display stays on...

    Anyone know what's the problem?
I thought it might be a loose wire or connection.
Someone else has or had this problem?

    Thanks for your help...

I agree with you. It must be a contact problem. In my opinion, it is not important if anyone else has this problem too and you have to find the solution as soon as possible.
The laptop must be disassembled and check the connection of the screen. Now the question is what to do. Can you check it alone or you need professional help?

  • Satellite a200-1sv screen remains black at startup in Vista

    Hello

We have a problem with Toshiba Satellite A200-1sv my girlfriend: when we started, most of the time, the screen remains black, while the computer starts: after awhile, we can hear the sound of windows (vista).

In addition, if connect us another screen of the computer, it displays the scheduled start screen. In order to use the computer, it must launch a few times... The support guy where we bought the computer told us "the computer is not compatible with Vista, we cannot do something".

    Can we do something?

    Thanks in advance,
    Ju

I have to smile to read this message
    Mainly, this statement is funny;
    > The support guys where we bought the computer told us "the computer is not compatible with Vista, we can't do something."

I think that this laptop has been delivered with the Vista operating system. So why the guy said that the laptop is not compatible with Vista?  :| …. that's nonsense.

First the A200-1SV belongs to the PSAE6E series and it s fully Vista capable.
Secondly, like you say the external screen displays home Toshiba screen and so I guess that's just a matter of adjustment.
What you can do is to use the FN + F5 key combination to switch between display devices.

If it doesn't help to try to put the laptop back to the factory settings using the Toshiba Recovery CD!
In this case, the new OS, driver and tools will be installed and then everything should work fine.

    Good bye

    Hello

I have a problem with the LCD on toshiba satellite M100-221.

When I move the screen, the screen goes black.

The display only works correctly when the angle is close to 90 degrees.

    Hey Buddy,

I m not a technician but I agree with the user above. For me it looks like a hardware problem and you should go to a service provider allowed. Technicians can check your defective parts for computer laptop notebook and Exchange.

You can search for the nearest Toshiba for ASP site. ;)

  • Satellite M30x-165 - screen is black

    Dear all,

    Unfortunately, my screen is black.

Whenever I start my laptop / notebook my screen (display / monitor) is black.

I can't use my laptop because I don't see anything. The system works.

    Why does this happen?
What can I do against it?

    I'd appreciate any help.

    Best regards
    JJ

    Hi JJ,

A friend of me had the same problem on his Satellite M30x too. He didn t see an image on the monitor internal but external monitor works properly.
Also, do you have plugged an external monitor to the laptop? You see an image on the external monitor?

However, after testing an external monitor that works, he replaced the internal screen FL inverter and the laptop working again properly. :)

If t, you can see an image on the external monitor too, it seems to be a hardware problem, maybe the card mother or something else.
    You can access the BIOS?

  • Satellite A135-S2276 screen goes black randomly

I have a Satellite A135 everything will work, and then it goes just black sreen have not seen a boss just randomly sometimes his 30 minutes later sometimes immediately.
I updated the drivers and also plugged in a dektop and it fined all work in this way, but always turned on the LCD screen.

All the ideas we that this could be taken to a toshiba repair place and they said that the LCD or the right of the ups under neath the screen.

Anyone have any ideas for this grace.

    Hi mate,

Normally, you can get all the spare parts to an authorized service provider:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com > locate a repair center

Alternative as a boarder wrote that you can look on eBay for second hand parts. They are cheaper but not new. ;)

  • Satellite A135-S2326 - screen goes black

I have an A135-S2326, one day he started to go black screen when I was on it... I would like to close the lid and reopen and it would be back on after about 20 seconds if it goes black again.

I thought that it was done with, then I switched the rear screen and I noticed that the computer was still on, you can see the desktop icons and can still run the laptop itself for some reason that the backlight is out. It would be an updated driver, relocation, or is the screen just didn't pull any more? When I plug in an external monitor it all good im.

I was going to try to do a system restore but last year I brought my laptop cause usb not working, they inturn screwed my motherboard trying to fix them. So they replaced my motherboard with what they said, it was the same characteristics as the former, a few months later went to do a recovery and the disc when I put pop up would be on screen system does not recognize. Called the toshiba repair place they said something about something reset to make the drive work, which i have no idea what it ment.

    Hello!

    > When I plug in an external monitor it all good im.
Looks like a problem with the inverter LCD or FL.

I think a recovery facility will not solve the problem because the external monitor works without problem.

In your case I go for a local ASP and ask for a technician. They can check your laptop.
On the Toshiba site, you can search an ASP: http://www.csd.toshiba.com

    Good bye

  • Satellite P200D-139 - screen remains black

Hello, Ive had my laptop for a few years and after leaving in my freezer for a few weeks on vacation, I went to turn it on and the laptop turned on and the lights came, but the screen remained black. The screen was not completely black she lights up very slightly, but nothing was visible at all (not even very thirsty)

In the past, I encountered a situation where I had a red tinge to objects on my screen, but also red horizontal lines. This was never permanent and only occasionally happened.

About my most recent problem involving the black screen, I tried taking the battery and holding the switch thing on, but also to take my ram out and put it back again. After that I took the ram out, I turned on the laptop and the screen shows red objects and flashes the screen loading and then black again. I don't know if it was because of the ram or just a coincidence.

I'm completely stuck on the current situation and would be grateful for all the help I can get. Thank you!

    Hello

If everything is clear: in your case I would like to connect an external monitor to the laptop. So that you can identify if the problem is related to the screen internal or graphics card.

In both cases you need professional help, I think the something on the hardware needs to be replaced. Therefore, you must contact an authorized service provider. Technicians can check your laptop and fix it for you it's a little tricky.

On the Toshiba page, you will find a list of ASP.

    Welcome them
