Satellite P100 PSPA3A - Touchpad and function keys not working not

Hello
I'm new to the forum so please excuse my lack of computer skills.

Where my problems began, is that I deleted the driver of my computer keyboard.
I reinstalled and now works with the exception of the function keys.

I tried to install Hotkeys out of the Toshiba web site without success. It will not be loaded on the computer for me.
I also reinstalled "utilities" and in doing so the touch pad mouse has stopped working.

Is someone able to offer, for me, what should I do to fix this?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Sam

I never heard of a keyboard driver deleting, but if some of your buttons work so I think the software is very good. It may be a loose keyboard connector is loose, which is located under your keyboard around the buttons 'Fred '.

I return the phone to the place of purchase and get them to fix it. Less pain for you and an easy solution. Keep it simple, everyone!

Good luck.

    Hello!

After I updated my Windows 8.1 to 10, I lost my keyboard function keys backlight (volume, brightness, etc.) and the OSD that I used to have (similar to the OSX one).

My Bootcamp has been updated via USB, after preparation on the Mac side. Now it's on version 6.

I tried to manually reinstall, remove all what about Apple and relocation, etc., but nothing seems to help.

Actually I was not able to remove the support of Bootcamp, because there was no option at this point.

    My MBP is mid-2012.

Do you know what I can do to fix this?

    Thank you!!!

In your device manager, you have the Apple keyboard driver? You have an element of Bootcamp in the Panel?

  • Touchpad and F9 keys stopped working

The touchpad has stopped working and the F9 key does work more for the touchpad.  How can I fix it?  It's a Toshiba Satellite laptop.  Other F keys still work.  There used to be a drop-down list on the desktop for the F keys, but it doesn't work either.  In the properties of the touchpad driver, disable is grayed out.

    Hello

Toshiba has also map of keys which allow easy adjustment of the TouchPad. See support for Toshiba
    and Forums.

Toshiba downloads - access your model.

Toshiba forums - good source of info from others who have the same system or similar
    http://laptopforums.Toshiba.com/

Check with the manufacturer of system support, documentation in line, or forums as there probably
are shortcut keys that enable and disable the touchpad functions.

Also check the control - Mouse - touchpad settings panel.

    You can also try this:

You can download but not install the drivers before the the below if you wish.

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touch pad-
The driver tab - click on Update Driver (which is may not make anything like MS is far behind certifying)
(drivers), now right CLICK on the touchpad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in).
REBOOT - it will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and USB stack. This does not prevent the
    Touchpad work.

Here is the similar procedure in XP, Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific
    device if present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then go to the website of the manufacturer of system (Toshiba downloads - access your model - listed above)
and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

    I hope this helps.

  • Touchpad and some keys not working do not due to static electric shock

This is an unusual problem - maybe someone can shed some light on this, and (especially) thoughts towards fixing the problem would be GREATLY appreciated.

Yesterday, I got my ACER Aspire 1830 t series netbook (Windows 7, 32-bit) and a little shock to receive static electricity - nothing major, exactly as happens when you touch anything with metal (especially in winter?), right. However, it has caused a few problems:

    1. first of all it has caused my netbook to a hard cock down.

    2. once I rebooted the system, the touchpad did not work.

To restore functionality to the touchpad, I tried the following until now:

    • FN + F7 (toggle to turn on/off the touchpad) - IS NOT WORKING.
    • Reboot - IT DID NOT WORK.
    • Use a wireless mouse - Fortunately, IT works.

    3. I was about to try to reinstall the driver for the touchpad when I noticed that some other normal keys have lost a few perfect. For example, I can no longer hold the BACKSPACE key or the arrow keys to a continuous function - they only move a space at a time, so I have to stay here by tapping it again and again.

So far, I are not noticed a problem of corrupted files or programs, so maybe that's more a hardware problem than a problem of driver/software.  Is it possible for static electricity incinerate a wire or something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This baby is only a few months out of warranty...

    Thank you very much!

Try to unplug the power, remove the power battery button and press on for 20-30 seconds, it stays for a while and try to turn it back on, I'm not sure if it will solve but worth it.

  • DVD_Rom recovery for Satellite P100 (PSPA3)

    Hello

I have a Satellite P100 (PSPA3) laptop, who originally XP MCE.
Unforunately I accidentally lost my Recovery DVD-ROM.

I always the serial number under the laptop. If you think that Toshiba could provide me the version XP MCE? Is there anywhere I could download another version that corresponds to the laptop I have? If this is not the case, everyone don't know if I can still buy this DVD from Toshiba?

Do you know where to buy Windows XP today?

    Any help wil be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    drmattos

    Hello

No, as far as I know, you can download a picture of Toshiba.
There is an online platform where you can order a Toshiba Recovery disk but I think your unit is too old.

However, you can try the site:
    http://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

If it is not possible to order the disk, you need to install the Windows system and the single drivers can be downloaded from the Toshiba driver page.

  • Good question after Windows update on Satellite P100 PSPA3E

I encountered a problem with my sound card after a Windows Update. It became an old analog tuner with problems of dust on his volume knob. (this is a reference "sounds like" for those old enough to remember) I updated the driver to the most recent DriverGuide.com, no joy.

I even did a complete system restore "with the"product restore disk."" Which fixed the problem until Windows updated the right files for trash again. I don't know what files do the dirty on my card since most of the windows system updates are performed while I "continue to work! Anyone with ideas?

    Thank you

    JD

    Hello

What operating system do you use? XP or Vista?

Satellite P100 PSPA3E must use a sound chip Intel high definition audio Conexant CX20551-22.

I recommend to remove the sound card in Device Manager after installing Windows updates.
Then restart the computer and install the latest audio drivers available that support the sound chip HD Conexant CX20551-22.

First of all, you should try to use the driver for the Toshiba page. If this does not work, check the Intel page!
Please don t forget to restart the laptop after windows update finished.

  • Update problems - touchpad and keyboard do not work!

After you install an update, the touch pad and the keyboard on my laptop won't work.  I was able to use a wireless mouse, after a few failed attempts.  Any suggestions?

    Hi jennkjohns,

    1. what happens when you connect the keyboard to the computer?

    2. what update has been installed on the computer?

    Method 1

First of all, I would say you visit your laptop manufacturer's website to download and install the updated driver for the touchpad and check if it works.

Check in the Device Manager, the State of the keyboard.

Get help with Device Manager errors

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/get-help-with-Device-Manager-errors

    Method 2

Checking update was installed before that the problem occurred.

    (a) updates installed open by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click programs

    (b) and then, under programs and features, click view installed updates.

Once you know the update's KB number then visit the Microsoft Download and put the number in the search box, download and install the update manually after placing the computer in a clean boot state.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
