Satellite P200-15N: no sound, WLan in Windows XP Pro

I was finally able to install "Windows XP" on my laptop... But now I got noise 'NONE' and 'NO' wireless lan... I got a Boot Vista & Xp now... That fades... but need the noise & wireless on XP

What programs should I install for sound and wireless Lan---> the drivers offered on the toshiba site does not work... So who knows what it takes to install: s... CZ I have no sound... It does not recognize the hardware, I guess... Someone at - it an idea? Help, please!

Sincerely,
Frédéric

Have you chosen the right notebook series and have you installed the correct drivers for XP?
Satellite P200-15N belongs to the series of PSPB6E.

You must choose this number to the driver download page!

If you need the compatible WLan driver please check this portal WLan from Toshiba:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

As far as I know the laptop was supplied with 11 Intel a/g/n Kedron WLan chip.

Before you install the audio driver please make sure that Win XP has been updated to the last State. All MS patches must be installed. Also the Microsoft KB888111.exe patch must be installed before you begin installing the audio driver.

Not knowing where I really should put this... I put it in this part of the forum too :)

    So:

    Hello

I bought a new laptop with Vista Home and two Partitions... I would like to install on the second partition "Windows XP pro" (with official key & SP2 included)! But when I run the XP Cd I get an error that the HD is not recognized... So I searched on the forum here, to see if there is a possibility of passby he...

    So what I did:
    (1) I download the "Intel storage drivers" of->
    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Filter_Results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=2101&OS FullName = Windows * + XP + Professional & lang = eng & strOSs = 44 & submit = Go %21

    (2) I used the Floppy machine, to create a floppy disk with the necessary drivers (also from the above site)

    (3) I downloaded a copy of freeware "Nlite".

    (4) I also downloaded the additional drivers on the "Toshiba" site itself (Lan, storage,...)

    (5) I did a "Xp Pro P200-15N" card and put all the drivers... Including the Exe I downloaded from the link above named "iata76_cd.exe"...

    (6) I have made a new Win XP bootable CD with "Nlite" & added all the drivers that I downloaded and followed the procedure given by "Nlite". He made a new bootable CD (with all the drivers and .exe and .inf, etc...)

    (7) then I boot my laptop with the CD, but it always gives an error on sata drives... (that it can not be found...)

So my question is... What I'm doing wrong and what should the other drivers I download to make it work? I have an external USB floppy drive... If additional drivers must be added... So I hope that there is someone can help to Ho...

I install XP for professional reasons. Things Vista Home can not handle...

Hope I got a respons soon... CZ, looks really URGENT...

THX in advance and sorry if there are errors in my writing (I still am of Belgium)

    UPDATE *.
The method above does not work for me... So took my USB floppy drive and put the drivers on it (hit 'F6' at the start, added the drivers found on the link above, it install it)...
Then I could also choose a partition...

So far so good... He asked me if wanted to format it or not... I said ok...
Then, when he wanted to start the copy, I got:

Insert the CD-rom or the floppy disk with the name
    Driver Intel Matrix Storage Manager
    In station of A:

    * Press ENTER when you are ready...

And I do not know what I do... CZ hitting enter doesn't do anything: s

So what I'm doing wrong, it becomes really ANNOYING and frustrating... I did everything they said in the link, in fact the method with f6, but still now reaction: s... Everyone?

    Sincerely,
    Frédéric

    Thanks for the latest info!

  • Satellite P200 - failed to connect to the Windows Services

After starting Windows Vista on my Satellite P200, I received a message: failed to connect to any Windows Services. The event notification system file are not available.
Use restricted to the mode of administration.

No network supports either (wifi, Ethernet,...). At least I can use the PC in batch mode!
Unable to retrieve a previous saved file system.

I need to restore my Toshiba restore disk Win Vista?

Do you offer a lighter solution?

It's strange, but what you mean with batch mode?
You can start in safe mode?

I think the best way is to reinstall Windows with the recovery disk. It only takes a few minutes and then you have the new installation of Windows with all the drivers and tools of Toshiba.

  • Satellite P200-157: Atheros AR5006EG WLan - AES encryption in question WPA

    Hello, sorry for my English.

I bought a SATELLITE P200-157 with VISTA OEM 2 months, since I can't use WPA with Atheros AR5006EG AES encryption.

The LAN does not work because three other computers are connected in wifi on the same router. With the Toshiba pc, I just can be connected to the WLAN key if my router WEP or WPA - PSK TKIP. in WPA - PSK AES/CCMP or TKIP + AES it does not work.
When the SATELLITE is unable to connect to the WIFI network, it return when connecting try 'Abnormally long network connection' = connection too long and after vista let me choose between a diagnosis of the problem or borrowed from another ESSID.

Did I missed something let work AES encryption? Thank you for helping me, I have no idea to solve this problem.

    Hello

As far as I know all this (encryption) WLAN settings must operate if the material and the pre-installed driver supports all this. I'm afraid that in your case, he can't do it because the wireless network card and all modes of AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption option are not supported.

  • Satellite P200 - 1FC: no sound after system update

Yesterday my laptop did an update of the system for Windows and when I restarted the computer, my speakers did not work, my ATI graphics card was not found and that the reader has stopped working.

I don't know what happened, but I don't think that the update installed correctly.
I had a similar problem on my old laptop with XP and I due simpy reinstalling the update.

For some reason I can't do this on my current.

    I use a SATELLITE P200 - 1FC.

Is now SP1 for Vista installed?

I ask this question because I got message on Vista updates and SP1 was who listed there. I'm afraid, it can have a negative influence on the good OS and I'm quite skeptical about it. For now, Toshiba does not support Vista with SP1.

  • Satellite P200-15N boot, numlock on

    Hello world
I have a Satellite P200 laptop for over 2 years, but since yesterday I did a clean install of Windows7 on the machine.
But when I start/restart the NUMLOCK is off, but it would be nice to have that 'on '.

I already searched this topic on the end of the Internet, but does not solve the problem.
-Boot, and when you log on to push the numlock on it and restart. Didn't work...
-Research in the BIOS, but could not find where to change. I think that's in it to change...
-Also find a registry entry to change.
    Regedit: + HKEY_USERS >. By DEFAULT > Control Panel > keyboard > InitialKeyboardIndicators +.
There you can right click and set the value to 2.
In many forums said, change the value from 0 to 2, but I have 10 numbers as the value. So I didn't do it...

Please, someone knows how to change?
    Thans in advance!

    -----
    Best regards
    Pieter

I tested it on my Satellite P200D and it did not work for me.
To be honest I don't see as so important because one key click you can turn on/off pad.

  • Satellite L750 - Bluetooth does not work with Windows 8 Pro

    Hello

Well, I got 2 systems of windows 7 on my laptop and I have upgraded to windows 8 Pro. I installed all the drivers and finally work doest bluetooth.

It works fine if I first start windows 7 wait to connect my Bluetooth mouse and reboot at startup of windows 8.

If I try to use the function keys to activate/deactivate flight mode (in fact I like to disable WLAN) he stopped Bluetooth to work and there is no way to return to work until I have restart the laptop with windows 7 and the function keys to activate Bluetooth WLAN.

I love my phone and I love working with windows 8, but it makes me mad and mock no more.

Any help? Please, I beg you!

PS: I already wrote in support of toshiba and they recommend to call Microsoft for help... Thanks a lot... its a driver problem and not really a problem of OS...

    > If I try to use the function keys to activate/deactivate flight mode (in fact I like to disable WLAN) he stopped Bluetooth to work and there is no way to return to work until I have restart the laptop with windows 7 and the function keys to activate Bluetooth WLAN.

The FN key disables and active BT and the WLan by turning airplane mode on or off. If you want to enable the BT or Wlan, you need to go into settings to win 8 PC-> Wireless-> BT switch

    More details here:
    * Turn on the Bluetooth feature after a clean install of Windows 8 *.

  • Satellite P10-873 - no sound after reinstalling windows device

    Satellite P10 873 PSP 16th:-not his Device
    Win XP-Home Edition SP2

Everything was going well until a bad sector on the hard drive. I have Ran Chkdsk /r and re-installed windows.

In Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager it is a unknown device in the sound,.
Section of video and games controllers which I think can be unit XT of SRS truesurround.
also Realtek AC97 sound devices shown as correct and functional.

Tried to load the audio drivers from the website of Toshiba (sound-s-p10-xp-510005490) and still no audio device

available from the configuration/sounds and Audio devices Control Panel.
Got the patch KB888111 from Microsoft and installed, still no luck.

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong please?

Satellite P10 is old enough laptop model. I have very good experiences with P20. It's almost the same laptop, but a bit bigger. A friend of mine uses P10 for the job and we have installed WXP Pro using all the tricks of the Toshiba support page. The OS is installed two years ago, and the sound still works.

If you can not get this to work, I recommend you remove all the important data for the D partition or save on an external device and make the clean OS install. It will be interesting to see if the problem persists.

By the way: is a connected to your laptop satellite external game controller?
An interesting solution, I found here.

  • Satellite A100-847 - Virtual sound driver for Windows 7?

    Hi guys,.

Is there an available virtual driver sound for win7?

I use Satellite A100-847 and impossible to find some drivers.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hey,.

What is a virtual sound driver?
I know only driver sound but where is the difference with the virtual audio drivers?

In any case, you should check the Web from Toshiba site if you can find the drivers for Satellite A100-847 and Windows 7:

  • Satellite P35-S6112 - no sound after installing Windows 7

I installed Windows 7 on this Satellite P35-S6112 with its Realtek AC97 inside card. The card and the drivers work, but there is no volume. I can hear the sound with a very light helmet. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, attempt to update, but I installed current drivers.

Troubleshooting has been done and the system reports no problems. I am in desperate need of help here, as my daughter he needs for his college as his other laptop is in the shop. Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hi precisiononthe8,

    > but there is no volume
That means you don t have the speaker icon in the toolbar to change the volume? Well, maybe that icon is just disabled and you will have to enable it.

Right click on the taskbar > properties > taskbar > customize > toggle system icons > Volume. Set this to on speaker icon will be visible right now and you can change the volume.

  • Satellite L750-1E5 - no sound after upgrade Windows 10

Installed 10 yesterday and immediately lost my wireless connection. Who decided to roll back the wireless network card driver in Device Manager.

Second problem - no sound from the speaker is internal, but Device Manager reports no problem with its controller...

"My Toshiba" app reports L750 not supported for Windows 10?

Can someone help to solve the noise problem please?

Second problem - no sound from the speaker is internal, but Device Manager reports no problem with its controller...

Even if the error is not visible in the Device Manager, it would be a good idea to uninstall the audio driver of the peripheral zone manager → sound video controller and game.

After restarting again the system should automatically search for updates and new driver.

Of course, the unit should always be connected to the internet.

As far as I know that this model P200 belongs to the PSPB6 series.

  • Satellite A100 (PSAA2E) - no sound after installing Windows XP

I recently installed XP Pro on my laptop. It was previously running XP Home. Now I have no sound. I downloaded the Realtek drivers on the Toshiba site & also tried different drivers from the Realtek site, all without effect. Realtek sound appears in the Manager of devices as "w.orking correctly. Detached & allowing him to be detected again also has no effect. Any advice is welcome.

    Hi cvaughan,

Have you installed SP3 for Windows XP? If this isn't the case, you should do it, because it contains important updates for the sound card drivers.

So to remove the current sound driver, install SP3 and then reinstall the audio driver.
