Satellite P300D-12F shows blue screen by installing Win7
When I bought ths laptop, Windows Vista is already installed (32 bit Premium).
Now, I bought Windows7 Prof I wanted to upgrade my system. But, is not possible. Because of the compatibility of professional and high quality of windows.
That's why I have to install windows 7 from the beginning (New Installation, no upgrade)
I tried to install the system
The problem is that I always get blue screen windows
What should I do? What is the reason for this problem?
I installed Win7 on a friend's Satellite P300D month without problems.
Here is my order of installations:
Satellite P300D-13N and own Win7
-Supervisor password utility
-card reader controller
-Registry patch 1.2
-Toshiba Assist (Vista)
Before you begin installation remove all existing partitions and create a new partition and he chose to install Win7. That s all that I did.
I feel blue screen problems when I close my laptop and open it again (while he wakes up).
It says something about Ati blah blah.
I find that very annoying reseting every time the PC cuz he went to sleep... any1 has / had similar problems?
What can I do about it? I had b4 of win xp on my laptop (toshiba don't support even xp for this model) and it worked perfectly, even not a problem... and now with win 7 I have millions of problems and win7 is supported!
> I feel some problems blue screen when I close my laptop and open it again (while he wakes up).
> It says something about Ati blah blah.
Blabla ATI means that the BSOD is related to the ATI graphics card chip or graphics card installed driver.
If Win XP worked perfectly, then the problem must be caused by software installed. Maybe the graphics driver...
I recommend the update driver graphics card and if necessary, update the BIOS.
I installed VMWorkstation 7.14 (VMware-Workstation-Full - 7.1.4 - 385536.i386) on ubuntu 11.04 (32 bit, 2.6.38 - 11-generic-pae, ubuntu gnome classic) and you try to install a virtual machine the ultimate win7-32.
When installing win7 - Setup stops with a blue screen, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT STOP: 0x0000001A.
I tried different DVD Win7, but breaks up with the BSOD all the time installation and already checked the laptop computers (Lenovo Thinkpad x 201 (5413-FFG) 8 GB of RAM, they seem to be fine.)
Also installed WinXP-SP3 without any problems in a virtual machine...
No reference to what has gone wrong?
view the vmware.log which was created during this installation attempt
affect you very little or too much RAM?
Just a quick winge / to complain/ask for help!
I recently acquired a Satellite A500/026 for Christmas (2009)
I installed Windows 7 via Toshiba built in software thingy, 64-bit, and it was running ok, then all of a sudden I started having screens blue rightbefore death or after the logon screen appears, usually blah blah less_than_zero or something.
in any case being the computer genuis Franklin that I am :) I decided to reformat, ok cool, so I did that, now it is 32-bit, windows 7, with no new program installed, and it continues to give me the same problems. Apartment to send it into the Toshiba people, what can I do >?
Have you tried updating the graphics card driver? I want to talk about the new driver nvidia version gt 230M, series of nvidia.com
You can try it out and let know us if it hepls you. But do not consider updating your Bios because it does not help in your case, but can bring the crash of the Bios with white screen
I recently bought a Satellite Pro A200SE 1F9 (2.00 Ghz, 2 GB RAM, professional running Vista), after 4 months he began to launch Blue error screen. I tried not to upgrade or fix a new material. I had a Linux Fedora 7 (dual boot), as I was getting this error quite often I got Vista Business (using Toshiba recovery disc). Now, I have only Vista in my laptop (lost Linux completely).
Some time the Notepad starts and goes inside Vista, after 10/20 mts, it starts again after showing blue screen, in other cases it keeps restart after a quick blue screen start.
I'm really frustrated by this behavior and don't know what to do. Can someone help me please in the present.
Have you installed a few applications which can be responsible for that?
I can't imagine that the BSOD occurs after a clean install of Vista OS.
is not in stand mode showing blue screen preparation
If you have not installed the latest service pack on the computer, then I suggest you to install and check if it helps:
For more information, see this link:
It will be useful.
Hope you can help me...
Satellite P300D-12F (PSPD4E - 018001GR) is a portable computer that has a 64-bit processor...
So why I can't find the drivers on the page of the driver for Vista 64 bit?
> Why I can't find drivers on the page of the driver for Vista 64 bit?
Maybe the 64 bit Vista drivers are not available at this moment, because this series is new to the market and the driver 64 bit Vista will be released in the near future.
I think that it s just a matter of time when the pilots will be published on the European driver Toshiba page.
Not out of patience ;)
iPhone 5 shows blue screen and restarts automatically
1. try to do a reset by pressing home and off/power button together until you see the Apple logo, then release
2. If you can't do it you may need to restore the phone via iTunes
I tried to do it twice in vain both times. I have the XP disc and I used it on my desk before so it does not work. Installation is finished and after it is done XP load and there is this blue screen that appears as a fraction of a second and I'm unable to read and then restart the PC. Very frustrating.
I'd like to really all the help that you can offer me. Toshiba customer service told me that this model only supports Windows VISTA, but there must be a way. Please help me.

Do you also have problems with the Toshiba Recovery disk or the Windows XP disc?
The problem is probably related to the drivers SATA may have installed XP correctly when you change the HARD drive in the BIOS from AHCI compatible?
I'm started to get really desperate here! I just bought my new Satellite A100-211 and now I want to install my own copy of Windows XP Professional (as the laptop comes with XP Home). But, when I try to boot from my Win Xp Pro CD (with no SP1 or SP2 integrated), I get a blue screen of the STOP just as the installation application reached the phase "the installation program starts Windows! The STOP message says something about a file named "pci.sys".
I don't know what the problem is or how to install XP Pro! It should be so simple! I even tried the SATA drivers from intel and load the Windows XP Pro install the program installation (F6) with a floppy, but I always get the same blue screen at the same stage of the installation.
Can someone help me please? Can someone explain how to install Win XP Pro on this laptop?
Thank you very much in advance! I'm really really freak out with this
Did you get this error message?
"stop error 0x7E in Pci.sys".
I found information on the Microsoft site that you need the latest Microsoft service pack.
I recently did the Vista home premium upgrade on my Satellite M100 (model psmaoa). I installed the Vista drivers as well as by the site "Toshiba Australia and New Zealand", but when I go to install the battery Bluetooth Vista I have blue screen...
Any help woul appreciated
You update the BIOS?
On several sets of Toshiba, the update of the BIOS is necessary if you go from XP to Vista or Vista to XP.
I'm not sure about the Toshiba notebooks for Australian but the European Satellite M100 supports a special BIOS in Vista.
I recommend you to check this first.
In addition, I recommend trying to install BT stack from this Toshiba BT Portal;
Bye and good luck
I would like that you suggest me solving this problem. I installed Win 7 on my laptop TOSHIBA (satellite P200-1BA). and installed all necessary drivers downloaded from the official website. But only the bluetooth driver produces the problem. When I install it, first it appears driver installed successfully, my intention to restart. After rebooting once windows starts (desktop appears) all of a sudden blue screen and the computer restarts again and again with blue screen that appears until I have disable bluetooth.
Anyone who encountered this problem too, or that someone has an idea on his reason?
It's very strange. I've installed several times on different models with different operating systems and all went well.
Are you sure you are using the 32-bit version for 32 bit OS?
What operating system is preinstalled on your laptop?

You have installed correct driver Win7?
Sorry, but Toshiba doesn't support third party hardware and software so if you have any problem with Toshiba then here you are on the right place. For all other questions, contact technical support Azurewave and ask for help.
Thay better experience with own product and I hope that they can help to make it work properly.
I have a C660-24f, which is around the age of 12 months, and I had the problem with it since I got it.

> I have a C660-24f, which is around the age of 12 months, and I had the problem with it since I got it.
Why wait so long? You may contact Toshiba service whenever you want and ask for help, or at least for the good advice.
Have you tried to do something about it?
Clean installation of recovery maybe? Have you noticed this error when the laptop works with the factory settings?
I have a problem in my laptop Toshiba Satellite A300-1 OC.
When the computer is often an error blue screen 8.
All the drivers are installed, the latest version of the BIOS. After trying all the operating systems. XP, Vista, Seven. The error could not. I read on the forums that it could be faulty RAM. Help please, what I would do in this situation. Thanks in advance.
I put t know why you get this BSOD but 8th is not the error code. Maybe you should check this yet what is displayed exactly when you get this.
If you think that your laptop is overheating you can clean using compressed air stream. This could blow the dust of fans cooling and, therefore, it of necessary to disassemble the laptop. You can get it from every computer store I think.
Finally, and especially if you assume it s the RAM you can use Memtest86. This tool can test the RAM for bad sectors.
