Satellite T130-13 q - Touchpad freezes and upgraded CPU

Just I have updated the hard drive 500 GB, added windows edition integral, added the drivers one by one and I'm happy.
BUT

The touchpad is terrible, yet drivers are up to date and the system options are cool, but it hangs or is difficult to use - offset by the use of a mouse, but why does this happen and can it be sorted? I have no problems with a USB mouse but the touchpad is a problem even before the changes, it was OK.

And more than two things. MUCH more important: can I change the processor? -C' is horrible. Think of Intel i7 or quad core Intel processor. How, if so? I think I might change it. RAM and disk is expandable.

Can I update the graphics card? If so, how?
It is much more unlikely to be scalable but worth a punt to interrogation.

Please get back to me, I need to perfect this machine...: P

Hello

I put t understand why you bought this laptop if you want to update all

Regarding CPU and graphics update, there is enough discussion here in the forum. Just use the forum search and both is not possible. You lose the warranty and other s CPU are pre-tested not.

Regarding your touchpad: why is it horrible? If the drivers are up to date, you should check the preferences. Maybe you should just disable the tapping function or change the sensitivity.

Good bye

    Hello

Have you noticed the same external USB or using only the touchpad mouse?
    What about BIOS?
Do you use the last being?

If this isn't the case, then I recommend that you update the BIOS!

Of course such behavior of touchpad could be related to a hardware problem, so if nothing works, you should communicate with an ASP.

  • HP DM1-4110SD touchpad freeze and sometimes keyboard under Windows 8 Pro

    Hello

    I have the following problem:

When I use the netbook with Windows 8 Pro (64-bit) after some time, the keyboard or touchpad will freeze. I have seen under drivers and downloads there is a fix Windows 7 (KB2621491), but this fix is not available for Windows 8.

I tried to disable the sleep for the USB root hub, but that doesn't seem to work.

Is the fix is going to be available for Windows 8, or y at - it another way to make this work?

    Hi Speeder.

Most of the W7 drivers will work W8. I'm not sure that an individual. More than likely HP won't to material support for W8 on any system purchased before October 1, 2011.

Take a look at this document http://goo.gl/CO6uV , which provides information on the upgrade of Windows 7 to 8, driver compatibility and much more.

Please let me know if it helps.

    Hello!

I think I have a very similar problem!
Since I bought my computer happens but not on startup. When I'm with her, she just freezes, makes a loud noise and I can't do anything to turn off, I need to use the same radical technique! Hold the reset button and sometimes I need to remove my battery.
Now, it happens almost every day.

I don't know how to run these disc harder than self-test or BIOS, try to find out what the problem with my computer. I have a Satellite Pro U300. Could someone help me?
I hope that we will find what's wrong.
Ah! Now I use windows 7 and Vista and the problem happens both...

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi fefalm,

If you have this problem, because you bought your computer, why you didn t contact a service provider authorized to solve the problem or ask a seller for a replacement one?
If your laptop is still under warranty, contact the nearest authorized service provider!

If that happens on different operating systems, it seems to be a malfunction of the equipment. Theoretically, it could be related to the HARD drive or another part

The HARD disk, you can test with special diagnostics as Drive Fitness Test Tools. ask Google to find.

  • Satellite L50 - B - lost touchpad pinch and scroll functions

One day I realized that I had lost pinch and scroll on my touch pad functions. Do not know why.
So I tried to install a Synaptics Touchpad driver. This provided the missing functions but got delayed cursor and the sensitivity of the touch pad is limited to a certain place. So I uninstalled the synaptic driver again.
The sensitivity has published healed but I still had no function of pinching and scrolling on the touchpad.
So, I went on the download site of Toshiba and learned that the pilot of the ALPS was the original driver.
I tried to install this driver (as requested for 64-bit).
The installation seems to go smoothly. After start-up, there is still no functionality of pinching and scrolling and anywhere the driver is found neither in the list programs or added to the 'mouse' screen in the functions of the system folder.

How can I get that pinch, zoom in and do scroll back to my touchpad functions?

This looks like interference of program, you will need to perform a clean boot and disable the firewall and antivirus and then try and install the driver. Here is a description on how to perform a clean boot, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

  • Satellite L670D-159 (PSK3JE) - Touchpad freezes then all freeze

Hi everyone, I am working on Windows 7 64 bit, Service Pack 1. My laptop is 3-4 months. Readers are updated and what more? Ask me so necessarily.

I have a problem with my mouse "touchpad": it happens suddenly. As a first step, the cursor moves very slow or erratic. When I try to shut down Windows, nothing works. So I click with the left button then it work one or two times and no more everything is frozen. Nothing is possible. My work may not be enregistred.

Sometimes 'ctrl' + 'alt' + 'extra' opens the windows to choose to open the "Control Panel", but when I click it does not open. Sometimes after a long time, I can start over, but over time, I have to manually stop before starting again. The fan seems to work too often, faster and noisely.

Do you think of this problem, there is a patch or something else to do?

    Best regards
    Fabienne

    Hey,.

Do you see the same behavior when you use an external mouse instead of the touchpad?

To be honest it's not easy to say what the cause of the problem, but have you ever tried to update the driver for the touchpad? You can find the latest version on the official page of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

    Check this box!

  • X 240 jumpy touchpad, freezes and don't click on

For months now, I've had problems with my X 240 touchpad. After a few minutes of use, and suddenly the mouse pointer seems to jump around, not responding at all, refuse to accept in taps (-> clicks), two-finger-taps. After a few minutes, it works again, but also converted to the painful State after a certain time. The trackball or an external mouse work fine even when the touchpad is not.

I doubt that it is a software problem because I reinstalled Windows, a certain number of times (8.1 and 10) since I was the camera. Also, I'm using the latest drivers according to the software update wizard.

Anyone had similar problems? Do I have to send the laptop in for repair? Is this a known issue?

I got the touchpad replaced by Lenovo Service and now it works fine.

Really seemed to be a hardware problem.

The BIOS is updated to the latest version. According to Toshiba, website of the CPU is supported for this model of laptop. I think something is wrong with the BIOS but I know how to sort it.

If someone now, anything please send me info but please in why easy.

    > According to Toshiba site the CPU is supported for this model of laptop.
Really? As much as I know updates don't are not supported:

Referring to this document, Toshiba support nor recommended to make changes on their mobile systems, since the basics in these mobile systems are not expandable as in a desktop system.

  • Satellite Pro L870-18R - no boot after upgrade CPU

    Hello

Bought the "SATELLITE PRO L870-18R" alongside a "Intel Core i7-3740QM 2.70 GHz FCPGA988 L3 6 MB 4 Cores CPU 2.70 GHz" to upgrade the processor and get a beautiful machine.

Boots of machine as expected with its stock i3, but white LED will blink once and no post when upgrading the processor is applied.
Is their a bios that will support this CPU, otherwise what is the max processor that toshiba will move to. Little bit discouraged, I can't upgrade.

Is their a bios that will support this CPU

BIOS updates are not released to allow new media of CPU, but the BIOS updates are released to fix possible problems for laptop...

If this is not the case, what is the max processor that toshiba will move to. Little bit discouraged, I can't upgrade.

Still is it that manufacturers of mobile phones do not support updates on own laptops... This means that there is no further information on the possible processors and supported.

However, a new processor usually requires a BIOS and chipsets support... so in case you want to make these updates (of course only at your own risk) then you will need to use a CPU that is supported by the Intel Chipset. But there is no guarantee that this notebook would functions even if you use a processor that would be supported by the chipset...

  • Satellite C850 - 13 c turns off after upgrade CPU

    Hello

I have a Satellite C850 - 13 c with the b820 cpu celeron. I bought a core i5 2450 m to upgrade, but after I installed the new processor, the laptop turns off each time after 30 minutes exactly.

The problem happens also in bios mode. In the first 30 minutes, the laptop works perfectly but it just closed down without warning.

Aparently others had the same problem with this laptop model, even with a core i3 cpu upgrade.

    I've tried so far things:

-Ventilation control system - everything ok, temp is not above 40 ° c
-Updated bios updated to the latest version
-People with mobility reduced all the main functions of the cpu in the bios
    -The battery bios reset
-Tried with AC adapter only, only battery, same result.

This model just don't treat a larger cpu?
    Please help :(

So generally the CPU upgrade is not possible with this show you are yourself and any exchange of material is at your own risk only.

Problem is that Toshiba doesn't any info says on the upgrade of CPU and functionality with different processors. Thanks to a specific design, there is danger of overheating.
In your case, it is interesting that laptop off after exactly after 30 min.

Unfortunately I can't help you with this, but this case is very interesting announcement I will continue to follow the discussion. Let's see what other people will write about it.

  • Touchpad freezes / cursor disappears on Windows 8.1

    I have a Ultrabook from Split x 2 HP I bought a week ago.

I've upgraded to 8.1 Windows recently. I noticed that my touchpad freezes and my cursor doesn't work anymore, no matter how many times I click or try to revive. If I start using the touch screen, the cursor disappears completely and does not return. Happen completely randomly - sometimes every two hours, sometimes more than once per hour. It has nothing to do with the number of channels I open or how many times I use it.
I go to Device Manager to control the mouse pointer, and it says that the device is functioning properly. It shows also all the updates have been installed.
Sometimes it lasts only 10 to 15 seconds, other times I have to close my computer and wait 30 seconds before you open it, and then the mouse will reappear.
The driver is dated 23/08/2013 and the version is 17.0.2.24
Just in case, here is the information on my computer:
    Intel Core i5-4202Y 1.60 GHz
    4.00 GB RAM
    64-bit operating system

    It worked for me.

Go to the Generic USB (two of them) hub in Device Manager.

Go to the power management tab

Uncheck the box allowing the computer to turn off this device to save power.

    Turn it back on.

My touchpad stopped everything by searching for a solution. I have 'unchecked' boxes and the touchpad are back to life before the reboot. He has worked since then. (three days)

  • Satellite A500 keyboard and Touchpad freeze but the computer is still active

Hi, I hope that some might be able to help me with this frustrating problem.

Keyboard and mouse on my laptop have, during the last 4 months, been freezing almost randomly.

This problem occurs only with the keyboard and notebook computer touchpad. If I use an external USB mouse, I have no problem.

Please note that this is not all the freezing system. Once the keyb + touchpad freeze has occurred, I can always plug in a USB mouse and continue to use the computer.

    I have windows 7 64-bit.

And what model of laptop do you have?
Are you using the Toshiba recovery image or your own installation of the OS?

  • Satellite T130 - 10G Touchpad screen pointer gets stuck in random patterns

Satellite T130 - 10G Touchpad screen pointer gets stuck in random patterns and laptop computer must be restarted to restore functionality
The center of the causes of "touchpad button" toggle switch by pressing the touchpad pointer to enter a random State like two fingers to zoom.

Sometimes, he'll be back to normal, but most of the time the computer should be put to sleep or restarted to restore functionality.

    a. I tried turn off all touch pad feature one item at a time and all, he still has some weird random State.
(Did not try the impossible combination need $ to be interested but went to the 90% level)

    b. I tried disable the touch pad buttons offending and only using the mode tap the buttons and the problem still persist.

    c. Finally, tried bending the entire keyboard instead of pressing the buttons and it has also created the problem.

This leads me to believe either the power key or flexion of the entire keyboard is originally is

    a. flexion of the touch pad causing the driver getting into a crazy State or require a recalibration.

    b. electrical connections causing the driver enter a crazy State or require a recalibration of bending.

Note: I have reinstall the latest version of the driver.
Also: American Toshiba support site that this problem exists in the notebooks of May.

Also: The touchpad is too sensitive, which makes it very unusable!

    CAry

Have you tried to install the operating system and check the functionality of the touchpad with the factory settings?
Recovery image contains tested the touchpad and right and I don't think that helps the driver installation.
