Save for web in format PNG-24 slices recorded in JPEG format!

Hi all.

I use Photoshop Extended CS6 13.0.1 x 64 and when I save for web in format PNG-24, all the slices of the project, the final results are images in JPEG format. I tried the same thing but the export in GIF and it keeps saving as a JPEG. I tried save as instead of save for Web and this market, but this way I'm not save per and not to the web.

No idea why this is happening?

Found the solution. I had to select all groups.

  • Save for web and devices png suddenly pixelated

    I've been using Illustrator for several years and upgraded to CS5 (Mac) this fall.  I had been using 'Save for web and devices' and save my graphics as png files using preset png - 24 format option.  However, they are now save as very small files (< 5 k) and incredibly pixelated.  I don't know if I've changed in some way and option preference or inadvertently, or if it's something that makes CS5.  I need the files to come out clearer, but when I export and use a resolution more high that they are too big for my client to use, because it is pulling them in Photoshop on a PC.  Can anyone help?

    CS 5 there are three options for how the art is optimized, none, which is what you have selected, art and nature.

  • window "save optimized as" save for web shows office but not good record

    In "where to", it displays the desktop, with the icon of a folder, and not the name of the folder in the image is in, as usual, if I cick on the pop down menu, {where field) at the bottom I'm indicating recent locations in gray, and the name of a folder that is located on the desktop, but not one in the picture is in. • Unable to save a slice with the original size using save for Web

    Hello

    For some odd reason, I can't increase the percentage more 45.84% in the section of the dialog Web Image size, save for

    so whenever I have save a slice, it ends up to half the original size.

    Screen Shot 2016-05-31 at 13.19.01.png

    I remember ever change a setting that can get there... How Photoshop could prevent you to save your image in original size?

    Please help me. I manage to get the slice in the original size now to meet the deadline for my project.

    As far as I know, photoshop for the web economy imposes a limit of size about 8182 pixels height or width and if the range or image is larger, save for web shows that the image/slice has been resized.

    The strange part is if is not a click on one of the options the Image size, the image/slice seems to be saved in the original format, even if it is greater than 8192 pixels in height or width.

  • Save for Web is now up to GIF on each record?

    Up to the latest version, the save for Web dialog box remember the type of file that you saved last as. Now, every time I open it... interrupt my workflow, it is up to the pretty spectacular GIF format that I use save for Web several times a day to record versions of the wired models.

    Anyone else seeing this?

    I do not see any place to set a default file type save for web.

    Am I missing something?

    I don't understand the reasoning behind this change. People generally use the same type of file when they export and RARELY is it GIF more. But even if the GIF was still popular, I would say it is much more common that you export the same type of file most of the time that put permanently.

  • When you use "Save for Web" with slices, it puts the images exported to a/images folder. Can I turn that off?

    I don't want to create a new folder/images every time I export images. I just want to export directly into the folder I specified.

    Is it possible to change this? I could not find a way.

    Thank you!

    In the save for Web dialog go to the dropdown menu, click change output settings and under saving files, uncheck the Set of Images in the folder

  • A script for 'Save for Web' as .jpg

    I found a script that saves the current selected document in Photoshop as .png on the desktop and use it all the time.

    main() {} function

    declare local variables

    var doc = app.activeDocument;

    var Nomdoc = app.activeDocument.name.slice (0, -4);

    saveFile var = new File ("~/Desktop/" + nomdoc + ".png");

    pngSaveOptions = new PNGSaveOptions();

    pngSaveOptions.interlaced = false;

    doc.saveAs (saveFile, pngSaveOptions, true, Extension.LOWERCASE);

    }

    main();

    Now I really want a similar script to 'Save for Web' as .jpg files, without a color profile, on the desktop. Preferably a version to save it as a quality of 100% and the other to register as quality of 60%.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Here you are...

    function main(){
    if(!documents.length) return;
    var Name = app.activeDocument.name.replace(/\.[^\.]+$/, '');
    var saveFile = File(Folder.desktop + "/" + Name + ".jpg");
    if(saveFile.exists){
       if(!confirm("Overwrite existing document?")) return;
        saveFile.remove();
        }
    SaveForWeb(saveFile,100); //change to 60 for 60%
    }
    main();
    function SaveForWeb(saveFile,jpegQuality) {
    var sfwOptions = new ExportOptionsSaveForWeb();
       sfwOptions.format = SaveDocumentType.JPEG;
       sfwOptions.includeProfile = false;
       sfwOptions.interlaced = 0;
       sfwOptions.optimized = true;
       sfwOptions.quality = jpegQuality; //0-100
    activeDocument.exportDocument(saveFile, ExportType.SAVEFORWEB, sfwOptions);
    }

  • Automated save for web + user + Preset groups?

    I have a great templade PSD filled with web slices, each containing graphics web button.

    They are always saved in three States: "-stop ', '-on ' and '-active" in .png format.

    To speed things up, I've prepared:

    * 3 'layers' (which activates / turns off the layers on / off and adjusts the visibility/effects)

    * 3 "except for web settings" which adds the "-off ', '-on ', '-active" suffix etc.

    However, whenever I want to update these three sets (and is often)! I have to jump through hoops to make... application of layer comp + file > save for web + select "all user slices" and "preset" + confirm the crash.

    After a few hundred times it becomes boring :-)

    Bottomline: Is it possible to do an action, or even do it all in a single key?

    Robert K

    Assuming that you always follow your naming conventions, action should be able to cover all the bases. The only downside I see is that some actions wil lrequire to call through the menus, not the buttons quick toggle to be correctly recording wih names intact. Have you tried?

  • Save for Web file default in Illustrator CC 2015.3

    Following the upgrade to Illustrator CC 2015.3, whenever I want to export my work using ' export > save for web... "it is by default in GIF file format In previous versions, it is lacking in any format that you used previously, but now it always goes to the GIF format.

    I have made online and product and can't find anyway to change that. It's a minor change, but when you are exporting multiple images in the creation of digital assets for marketing campaigns is incredibly frustrating and lose time when you must always choose the type of file you want.

    I've noticed this time when you use Illustrator at home on my PC and Mac at work. There is the option "Export for screens", but that can be a bit of a faff, especially when you have to go and rename each file after export.

    In short, is there a way to change the default file format 'save for web', says PNG?

    We have released a fix for this problem. Please update.

  • 'Save for web' seems to be stuck on gif - how to fix?

    Hello

    I've just updated my Photoshop CC 2014 (today) and hoped that this problem should go away.

    When I "save for web" for the past weeks, the changes that I have on the right do not affect the image. Saving to gif format and do not change size, etc. as before.

    See the screen shot comparison. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

    Your screen Capture Png leader showing save for Web in high quality Jpeg setting has a color of the monitor profile.  This seems strange to me. You wrote that with these settings save for backups of Web, an image. gif.jpg not.  You did not post the Gif, nor capture the current backup file that record the dialogue for web displays before the Save.  If indeed save for Web but one gif not a .jpg file try to reset your user ID Photoshop Settings.

    Also what color space are you publishing in?  Image png you posted has a display profile not a normal color space, changing in like sRGB, Adobe RGB or ProPhotoRGB... Image posted on the web should have colors sRGB in the and do not need a color profile.   A PNG file on the web with a display color profile is not what one would expect to see...

  • Problem with save for Web in Action

    We do hundreds of images to our fine print main client. As part of the work, they want to the final image through save for Web registered as file a .jpg and .png to 1000 pixels wide.

    The problem is, if you try to create an action for this, the size of the action records is a percentage and not a width in pixels. It is therefore impossible (so it seems) to record an action that sets the scale as a sizing with a fixed output of 1000 pixels wide. Since images vary in size and he insists on registration of the size as a percentage, you can not create an action that will work.

    I tried to see if there is a way to change the action to change the output of a width in pixels, but didn't see how to do it. Is it still possible? We would save TONS of not having to manually open each image twice as much work and savings for each format.

    Yes, there is a bug with this script.

    The bug got into CS5 and was not attached to the CS6.

    You can download the fixed script here...

  • Some colors change from Photoshop CS6 save for web?

    I have a picture with great color surface: #fffdfd, when I save for web (jpg) this color is changed to #fefcfd (in JPG format).

    I just can't save as jpg with #fffdfd.

    (was trying to uncheck convertir convert to sRGB, don't embed color profile - always #fffdfd becomes #fefcfd when save for web)

    However, the #fefcfd color when save for web, does not change.

    Why some colors and some not? Is this a bug?

    Window7 64 bit, Photoshop CS6

    Save for devices & Web will remove some color from the file data.

    Browsers are not color management. Most of the formats of file on browsers assume they are sRGB. While Photoshop gives you the possibility of incorporation sRGB color space of a document, it also strips data that are not relevant. It is a common phenomenon.

    PNG - 24 on the other hand will give you the exact color matching.

    In addition, save for W & D, JPG quality questions a lot - the same color quality 10,20,30,40, 50... 100 wil give you reproductions different colours on the output end JPG.

    If you are concerned that much on an offset of +/-1 hexadecimal value of RGB color space, do not save for web & devices. Do a "Save as" instead. Then use an image editing / application like ResizeMe resizing to resize the quality of your document. This, in most cases will retain information colourspace but just drop the resolution and quality of the image, giving you a smaller size.

    On a sidenote, you can also read this article on how to better manage the color spaces: http://viget.com/inspire/the-mysterious-save-for-web-color-shift

    Here's how.

    Once in the "Save for Web" dialog box Click on the Preview button and the HTML page will be generated and opened in your default browser.

    There are a few possibilities: the SaveForWeb plugin is missing, the document is not 8-bit RGB or the document is much bigger than SaveForWeb can manage.
