Scaling of large Format

Hi all

I am trying to print a wrap vehicle for a truck of food of 20'x 7'6 "." This of course makes for a huge file. I need help reduce the resolution and proportionally using the DPI value so that when printing adjusts back to 100%, the file is 300ppi. What is the formula of scaling that I use for this?

Thank you.

I use a scale of 25% of the final size (60 in. x 22.5 in).  The big misunderstanding out there, is that you need 300ppi image resolution to the final size.  Not true.  Set your document Raster resolution high (300ppi) and place all your images @ 300 PPI in the smaller version.  What you end up with is a resolution of the image of 75ppi (whenever you double the document size 200% you reduced half resolution (300 x 2 = 150 x 2 = 75).)  My hunch is that the file will print large format inkjet.  75ppi is the abundance.  Just for reasoning, suppose you need the resolution of the image to 300 PPI at final size.  This means that you will place your images with the resolution of 1200ppi (rmember the formula: 1200 x 2 = 600 x 2 = 300).  This is totally unnecessary and makes the unmanageable file.

Thank you for using the HP forum.

You can download and install the software FULL of printing to HP for Windows 8 (not 8.1) features:

  • large format hp7500a stuck head

Large format HP Officejet 7500 has

    Windows 7 64 bit

    In network

I've had this printer now for about 4 years, and when it works it is fine. BUT, when it is not...

So far, I got jams paper and false paperjams, ranging from the machine to sleep and wake up only when I walk and push the button start (solved). Whenever you wake up the machine until it's cleaning the heads, ink consumption is high, etc.

Now, he decided to get his head stuck. I mean that it does not move. I followed the instructions of various web sites and option 3 of the HP site is not helping! (shows a common problem...) so, nothing worked so far.

In addition, there are advice to update the firmware, preferably through the printer. This does however not work because as soon as I started / reset the printer she's trying to move the head. This does not work? and the error message reapears, before I can get into any window display to do something!

It seems that the coverage on the printhead is not mobile.

    Please advice.

Sorry, I needed to print. Some say that I'm an engineer, so I removed the little cover where the print head is parked/stuck under.

Now, I could remove the ink cartridges and the print head.   Was covered in ink so I suspect it got stuck on the lid with ink, where the problem. After cleaning the print head and carefully scrape most of the ink nee glue I could move this cover. As a result, I could replace the print head and ink cartridges which allowed me to do the good mentioned status report of movement of the head end printer...

Thanks for your patience, I hope that this solution can be useful for someone else in the future

  • OfficeJet 7500 a large format does not connect via Timecapsule

I have a Mac Book Pro running Mac OS X 10.7.5 (just updated all the software).

I connect my MacBook to the internet through my Apple Time Capsule (wired connection). I use version 6.1 (610-31) Airport utility and I just updated the version of the firmware to 7.6.1

I use a local wireless through my Time Capsule.

I just bought a large format HP Officejet 7500 a (model name: C9309A).

The printer has been set up to detect my wireless LAN and initially he worked for printing and scanning, but it has recently discontinued. I tried to uninstall (purification) the software of my laptop HP, all my software update and reinstall the HP software on my laptop, but it still does not work.

The printer is connected to my time capsule via an ethernet cable and a USB cable. It also includes Wi - Fi connection generates my time capsule. I have preferthe printer plugged into the router (time capsule) rather than a WiFi connection I print large files.

I can install the printer on my computer mac laptop (settings/printers & scanners). I added it as a wireless and a wired connection through my time capsule (it shows that the connection is done by the time capsule). However when I print, there is a long delay, the printer now says "printing", but I get the error on my laptop screen "can not write print data: ÿ * xˇ.» A few minutes later a blank page or a page with a single line is ejected from the printer.

If I go into the configuration of the HP printer, it says I'm under pilot 3.4.1. If I try to open the printer utility I get a message "utility HP does not work with the devices connected to the airport. Try to connect the camera directly to your Mac to work with her. " I tried to connect directly to my Mac via the USB cable and which does not work either. I prefer that the printer is not connected directly to my laptop I have few USB ports.

In my view, this printer is supposed to be compatible with my system.

Is there something more, that I can do or this printer is not compatible with my MacBook Pro or my Time Capsule?

    Hi marion_13,

Turn it on wireless and then try to access the EWS - embedded Web server by typing the IP address of printers in the browser's address bar Safari. I would like to know if you are able to access the built-in Web server?

Document below will also help you get the printer installed on your wireless computer.

  • Large Format HP Officejet 7500 a: old options for printer recycling

My all-in-one large format Officejet 7500 a has a broken belt print head.  There are also problems scanning that I decided to replace rather than repair it.  I live in a small town where there is no recycling options.  I'm looking for a way to get rid of the all-in-one former official.  Make a donation to repair/rehabilitation, a free recycling center, etc..

Had to do a little research but found this.

This is not a program I know nothing other than what I read on the page.  Looks like it is for the United States.

  • my print head large format 7500 needs?

My 7500 has large format officejet displays the message "ink cartridge seems to be missing or damaged.  I cleaned second level clean print heads, put in a new hp black cartridge, clean the plates of copper brass on the cartridge and the printer.  do I have to replace the print head?

I understand that you are looking to replace the print head after doing the different troubleshooting steps, but I would like to clean the print head manual too. Here a link to the user manual. It will show how to clean the print head and what materials to use on pages 120-125. While you clean the contacts on the print head after you delete it, check to see what warranty end date to the printhead is. If this date has not passed, I would call into HP total care for quality output troubleshooting.

I would also do a hard reset of the machine to try to clear the error message and return the printer to a known working state. No user settings are lost with a hard reset.

    1. with the printer plugged directly into a wall outlet and turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
2 then unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    3. wait at least 30-60 seconds
    4. plug the power cord into the wall outlet first. If a module with the power cord, make sure that the light of the module and then reconnect power cord on the back of the printer
    5. the printer should power back on by itself, but if not use the power button on front panel to turn on machine.

  • HP Officejet 7612 large Format: Stuck ink cartridge support

I changed my ink to a printer large format HP7612, and now it seems that one jumped back when the truck went all the way to the right and now is stuck. How can I fix?

    Hi @wkwood,

@DocCottle will be out until next week, but I thought that I will answer to save you time waiting for an answer.

Here is the document of support for this printer is not turned on - printer does not turn on.

If the 'Transport Jam' document provided by @DocCottle did not help and your printer is still under warranty I would contact HP Technical Support. What you can do, is to use the following link to create yourself a file number, then call and it can help to expedite the appeal process:

Step 1. Open the link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter the product number or select Auto detection

Step 3. Scroll up to "still need help? Fill out the form to select your contact options.

Step 4. Scroll down and click on: contact HP options - click Get phone number

File number and phone number are displayed.

If the printer is out of warranty, you may be able to get transportation released with a small "MacGyvering", if there is no guarantee to worry about urination.

When you do anything inside the printer that you want to unplug the printer for safety, but you want the trolley in the unlocked position, then turn on the printer and open the cover of the transport area before unplugging the printer.

I realize that with the trolley completely to the right is not easy to see what you're working with, but if you have something flat and long, like a ruler, perhaps there is a way to slide in on the top of the cartridge enough to push toward the bottom of the cartridge that has popped up and pull the hand trolley.

I hope that you are able to get it out.

  • My new HP Officejet 7610 large Format cannot print A3

    Hi all

I just buy and install a large Format HP Officejet from the 7610 and I tried several times to print a sketch of A3 from photoshop. In the preview, all right, I checked the size of A3 paper and all, but printing is a cropped image of the original in the middle of an A3 paper A4.

I use Photoshop CS6 on a Mac with os x 10.7.5 operating system and I'm really confused.

That I am I wrong to do so since the preview is ok?

What else could I do to print in A3 size?

Hi, in response to my post, I installed the software directly from the disc that came with the printer without the help of the online resource.  Previously, I had simply related that he and it worked for A4.   He now works as well as many other features that had not been installed.

  • Large format HP Officejet 7500 a: print head for my large Format HP Officejet 7500 a

    Hello

I have a printer of e-all-in-one large Format HP Officejet 7500 a - product E910a No.: C9309A serial no: [personal information deleted]

I need to replace the print head.

I found this on HP page http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02271166 they said it use the CN643A

On a support HP cat, what they said use CN642A.

On another page of HP, they said use CH638A.

The CN642A is now 5 HP564 ink cartridges, but still the HP web page said that it will work in my HP Officejet 7500 a large format using the HP920 cartridge.

I found other heads of printing on the web article CD868-30001 model number and on the web page of HP were unable to match the part number for a list of available models.

Now my big question including the number of pieces to the correct print to my printer head?

    Hello

I offer my apologies. It should have been if your printer uses 4 ink cartridges, type CN643A

Please click HERE to access the document to see what print head fits into your printer.

Check under Solution 4: replace the print head.

Step 2: Order the print head

    He states:

If your printer uses 4 ink cartridges, type CN643A

If your printer uses 5 ink cartridges, type CN642A

Please ignore my previous post where I suggested CN642A.
