  Theoretically, it could be a problem of connecting cable or internal problem display but you should test another monitor first. Just connect an external monitor to check the image here.

  If the external monitor works properly it s the LCD cable internal or visualize a malfunction. So, contact a service provider and allow technicians to check your laptop. They can fix this problem and order new parts. :)

  Yes, I agree with you that there may be a problem with the connection.
  But it of not possible to say exactly what's wrong.
  It may be something wrong with the sensor that turns the backlight on and off, or maybe something wrong with one cable

  There is no other choice for that pick up if the guarantee is available (it should be valid 2 years long if the laptop has been saved) then should be set the laptop for free.

  I have a toshiba A100, Go 7600 Gpu, just bought there is two weeks and im very pleased with the quality and performance far :), just noticed one thing today, the room was turned off and the laptop turns off with the screen in open position, I leave it open normally when at home, I noticed that the screen flashes as fixed every 1 min in what appears to be an interval of time with or without AC connected, not a flash very bright but not easy to notice, but I'm sure the flash, so my question is should I worry about this?   What do you mean with the screen? The LCD internal? Maybe you didn t stop the machine itself.

  I also suggest you update your bios and your drivers, maybe it s just a software related issue...

  I have a Satellite C70D-A - 11 d... When I use once key FN to do a print screen or use the Zoom screen on the space key...

  I am not able to use the 1 to 4 Keynumbers or space to enter a space between two words... it always changes between the larger screen solution or the normal solution...

  I can only change the FN key after changing the settings in the settings of display and after a reboot...
  So I can't use FN without a reset with the F1 to the use of the F12 key and a reboot...

  First of all, you can change between the special function key mode (without pressing the FN key) or normal (standard) mode (Fn hold first of all use the standard functions of F1 - F12).

  This function can be changed in the BIOS.

  I'm new to this forum and bought a Satellite C70D yesterday.

  You have no recovery disks, because you have to create own recovery media using the preinstalled software called Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.
  All the details can be found in the user manual.

  The black screen and the grand entrance box looks like the laptop request BIOS password.

  Maybe I m wrong on this password, but in the cases where the BIOS password has been set and you don t know what password you will not be able to boot the system. In this case only Toshiba technician would be able to remove it.

  However, if this isn t a BIOS password then you should be able to retrieve the laptop to factory settings using the Toshiba HDD recovery procedure.

  Turn on the device, press F12 for the boot menu.
  Now the last option should be HARD drive recovery.

  I use Adobe apps on an iMac CC brand new (still in time to get the full refund). If you use Photoshop CC (2015.5) the entire screen (not only the Photoshop window) goes black for about half a second when any icon tool exceeding a certain size of pixel passes of the tool to the pointer icon icon or vice versa.

  This happens for example when the icon of the fate of the area of the image on the menus or the dashboard or window, or when it comes in and out of the right click menu change brush size. Any situation when running the tool pointer or pointer tool.   Figured out. Change refresh rate of 60 Hz 40 Hz p p and it solved the problem.

  BTW, HP helpdesk is completely useless... He does not call them – at least their 'free' in India support is completely incompetent.
