You will also need a power supply cable P/N T77XR connect one end to the 4 x PCIe SSD bottom of basket and one for the FRP and backplane I2C cable signal P/N KV109 to connect to the card mother bay connector 0.

  • Support the rMBP 2015 13 "NVMe storage?

    Other users of greetings,

I'm looking to upgrade the SSD drive in my rMBP 2015 13 "model that currently owns the storage of PCIe 128 GB:s. Now, I know that the connector used for the SSD in the new MacBook is not a normal m2 connector, but this problem is easily solved by using an adapter, I already bought

Anyway, my real question is who is in the title. Anyone of you happen to know if the rMBP 2015 13 "media storage NVMe? As far as I've heard, it only supports AHCI, but since the new rMB 2016 NVMe storage, I thought that would mean that my model supports as well, because the support is granted through firmware and hardware, and I have the latest version of Mac OS (10.12).

Thanks in advance for the help!

    Best regards

    HatMine

The innards of the new sealed MBPs are not replaceable by the user. The guarantee, is not supported, is undocumented, and therefore, is probably verboten being discussed in these places according to the terms of USE.

Bravo to you if it works and can the resultant Frankenstein work well for a long time.

  • SM951 blade ssd for Mac Pro 5.1 - AHCI or NVME

    Hello

I recently updated my old 3.1 latest 5.1. I also bought a m2 lycom til pciE card and a Samsung SM951 ssd. HOWEVER, I am not able to see the ssd in the finder or disk utility. I bought the NVME version. I think maybe I should have ordered the AHCI version.

This will be my main drive. It must be initiated.

    Thanks in advance.

RIL of this model doesn't support NVME, you will need to order a different goal: to solve this problem.

  • 15 - ak050nw, SSD SM951-NVMe: can install SSD SM951-NVMe (samsung) on HP Pavilion 15-ak050nw?

    Dear,

Can install SSD SM951-NVMe m2 (samsung) on HP Pavilion ak050nw 15.

I bought HP Pavilion 15-ak050nw and would like to add SSD m2 plus fast then 5xxMb/s

Win10 will start in SSD, m2

    I think

    Disk Samsung SSD 256Go 2280, PCIe 3.0 m2 (MZVPV256HDGL-00000)

    Interface: M.2 (NGFF) PCI-Express NAND: 16nm MLC

I have not found a clear answer on this forum

Could you support me or send another proposal of SSD m2

    Cordially RaPa

Not just type SATA M.2 mSSDs:

    M.2 SATA - 3 (NGFF): ● SSD 256 GB, 2280, M.2, SATA-3, TLC ● SSD 128 GB, 2280, M.2, SATA-3, TLC ● SSD 128 GB, 2280, M.2, SATA-3, value DRAM-less

    Repair manuals

The speed of reading and writing on a SATA m2 will be right about 500 Mbps. about the same as a 2.5 inch SATA SSD.

You should be aware that many users are problems to get the system to recognize a drive m2 on laptops that don't come with a m2 of factory. HP is not give much explanation, but it seems that the m2 slot can be disabled in the BIOS:

  • Mini desktop EliteDesk 705 G1: EliteDesk 705 G1 support mini desktop NVMe readers?

Can anyone confirm or deny that the mini desktop EliteDesk 705 G1 supports NVMe m2 disks?  I've seen mention that 800 systems G1 supports NVMe readers, but not the 705 series. The quickspecs for this DM says that the m2 is PCIe X 4, but not if the BIOS supports NVMe.

(The G2 DM 705 record clearly indicates this. I would like the 705 plug G1 DM have been a little clearer).

705 EliteDesk or 800 models of G1 Destop Mini DO take in HP Turbo Drive G1 SSD, which are based SATA, PCI-e cards. The BIOS of these systems do not have the ability to communicate with controllers NVME. This feature has been added to the current G2 models

  • Can I use some SDS with Satellite M70 HD?

    Hello
I would like to ask if it's * possible using a hard drive SDD in my Satellite M70 laptop *. There are SATA III SDS HDs market, I can use a? This laptop does support SATA III at all?

Thank you in advance for answer

    M.

SATA III isn't taken care of.
    The laptop supports SATA I

But since the SATA controller is backwards compatible, you should be able to use a SSD SATA III. But you won't get the performance of SATA III (600 MB/s) but perhaps something around 150 MB/s (SATA I)

  • ProDesk 600 G2 Mini: A Mini 600 G2 a NVMe M.2 SSD startup ProDesk?

I recently bought a G2 Mini ProDesk of 600 which I am very happy with. However, I can't the computer to start from the m2 NVMe SSD I installed it. There is no problem to use it as a second drive in Windows and also no problem Windows installation on it, but even though I can see it in the BIOS and select to boot from, I get a message "no boot device."

Is it possible that a new machine that has a port of m2 in height, cannot manage boot from a drive is? HP has no information that I can find on this issue, or can someone help me find it? Anyone know?

    Best regards

I had a similar problem with the mini HP ProDesk 600 G2 and Plextor PX-G128M6e.

He helped disable legasy and loading security modes in the BIOS: Advanced-> Security Boot Configuration-> Legasy support turn off and disable secure boot.

And also disable PCIe power management: Advanced-> Power Management Options-> PCI Express Power management.

Without disable Windows power management could won't start the SSD with errors:

"The application or the operating system could not be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors.
    File: \Windows\system32\winload.efi
    "Error code: 0xc0000185.

After these settings Windows installs and runs correctly since the SSD drive.

P.S., Plextor PX-G128M6e is M.2 AHCI PCIe SSD, not NVMe, but can also be useful to someone.

  • New SSD in the unrecognized NVMe host controller card

I bought a chip Samsung SSD of 951 m2, discovered that I need a host controller card for it, got one, installed the assembly and found out that it is not recognized as a mass storage device, or a disk, or anything else, but a Council NVMe and only in System Profiler. The Samsung chip is invisible.  Nothing on the desktop. After looking into it, it seems that the Apple of NVMe version is non-standard. The Mac Pro is a 5.1. 2010-2012, the operating system is El Capitan 10.11.3. NVMe controller is a host AbleConn PCIe NVMe m2 adapter. This mixture is ever going to work? Apple will come with a driver who run it it?

  • Noise noisy fan on Tecra R850 (HDD vs SDS)

    _Computer_
    * OS *: Windows 7 64-bit
    * Toshiba * Tecra R850
    * Processor *: Core i7 2620M Sandy Bridge
    * AMD HD6450M Grafik *:
    * BIOS *: version 3.90

    Gentlemen.

in our society, we use the portable Toshiba Tecra for 3 months.
The fan noise is to us aloud, you always hear the fan sitting a meter away from the computer (no CPU load).

What helps a little was to change in the
Control Center Power Options (change Plan settings-> change advanced power-> TOSHIBA Power Saver Settings-> cooling method settings * to * + battery + Optimized).

But you can still hear the fan turning at 40%-45% when the CPU/system temperature is 40 degrees Celsius.

On the guy last week also receives a new laptop of Toshiba R850, it is very quiet.
The difference is that, in his notebook, an SSD is installed (instead of a HARD drive).

If the SDS make the difference of fan noise? (we do not believe it).

Maybe someone has had the same experience and has a solution?

    Thanks in advance

    Respect,
    VILSG

    Hi Paulo

Thanks for the useful comments Paulo. Are there more positive things after replacing HARD drive?
You may notice faster access to the SSD and performance of mobile in general?
What is with the consumption of energy when you use your battery Tecra?

  • Computer laptop need to change the HDD in the SDS?

Have 3 questions related to the Toshiba SSD!
    1. what laptop need to change the HDD in the SDS?
ATA, http://www.toshiba.com/taec/adinfo/ssdfacts/ so 1.8 and 2.5, I look at who is the same dimenssions and right?

    2. I have this model Toshiba R200-S2031, is it possible to change drive HARD 80-SSD 256 1.8 inches? I understand that my model has 1.8 IDE I can't take 2.5? But replace IDE ATA is possible that they are the same size?

    3. If I R500 with 64 SSD drive, can I replace it it with greater SDS and the same size of thumb? Let's say I have 2.5 64 GB SSD ich so I could replace it with 500 GB SSD?

    tnaks for answers.
and Toshiba - thanks to make small laptops, really enjoy.
you want to update faster, but I LIKE THEM!
    Thanks Toshiba!

    Husbands

    (1) as a general rule, all laptops can be upgraded to an SSD. If the connector on the SSD is the same as the original hard drive connector, it should work.

    (2) I believe there are 1.8 "PATA SSD available, google is your friend.

    (3) I think the R500 is using a connector ZIFF customized for the SSD drive, then you will not be able to install a standard SATA or PATA 2.5 "SSD Drive. I don't know if you can buy SSDS with the connector ZIFF, once again, google can help you.

  • Portege R100 - the upgrade the hard drive in the SDS?

    Hello

I was wondering if someone has improved their HDD R100 to a SDS drive?
I would like to change my current 40 GB to a disk ~ 64 GB SDD and I was wondering if there is a mark that is one that would be plug-and-play.
I think the hard drive is an IDE 50 pins?

Any recommendations where to buy one?

    Thank you
    Matt

    Hello!

Hama also makes SSD with 1.8 and IDE interface.

But the best way is you go to your local computer store and ask prices and manufactured products.
Maybe you can also find in the good internet offers. Try with Google.

    Good bye

    Hello world.

I have not found a similar case in this forum.

I have an EliteBook 8770w, that I just rebuilt, new business of Win7 64 bit. The problem is that I did not find the HARD drive (500 GB) principal. I just have the ability to install software O.S. years in the SDS (SDS Samsung 804 series). Now, I have just 111 GB (total), just as I had no HARD drive.

Whole issue of Bios that I missed before or after the reconstruction of the machine?
