When you set up your account send only, you should be able to disable the e-mail is.  Under the general tab of the account properties, you will find a box "Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing".  Uncheck this option.  You can include any string of fake server, you want the name of the incoming server.  The account will never check incoming mail, but you can use it to send mail.

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to set up POP Mail

I have a new Bold 9700. I'm new to the blackberry and for the life of me I don't see how to set up POP mail or internet access through my 3 G connection. all my other phones, I had in the past, when I incerted my social insurance card, I would get 3 SMS and all I had to do was save them and my internet was put in place. but my Blackberry has never these messeges. is it possible to set up my access to 3 G Internet and my POP mail? all I can find is an option to set up an Enterprise Server, and I don't have another option that all the books say I should have? any help anyone can offer woud be great. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the info. you're right, I probably have a Blackberry account through my provider of the support cell. I didn't know this until I bought this phone. I love on the phone, except that I wish RiM would have included courier pop and internet through the cellular provider without the need to have a special account. It's expensive and with the extra cost, I don't want to activate the account. Thanks again for the info.

    Hello

It is unfortunate that you did not know this before purchase... a pity indeed. But, be aware that BB provides some unique items that are for the customer BB companies don't. For example, carriers must install and maintain a unique infrastructure that is only for their BB customers. As a result, they may charge extra for these services. It is regrettable that they have not revealed these facts you advance... oh, it's the companies that control the price... no RIM.

    Good luck!

  • Cannot set the IMAP mail - configuration cannot be verified

    Hello

I have trouble to set up my work as an Exchange IMAP messaging in a new installation of Thunderbird. Once I put in the address of the server that Thunderbird retrieved all the security settings, which I checked against the supplied parameters that are listed in the webmail. I've also used these parameters to configure mail IMAP on my phone for triple controls everything. However, in the account configuration screen, I still got the message "Configuration cannot be verified - your name of user and password correct? (again, I checked everything I used independently and they have been accepted). Once I came out of the initial configuration screen error replaced by the following:

"The GSSAPI/Kerberos ticket is not accepted by the < email address > IMAP server. Please check that you are connected to the Kerberos/GSSAPI Kingdom".

The only possibility I can think is that Thunderbird tries to use my e-mail instead of the server to authenticate the reason why I'm getting the error. The e-mail address is [email protected] while the server is soliscom.uu.nl.

Any help or suggestions that anyone has would be welcome,
    See you soon.

Under Tools/account settings /AccountName/Server Settings, check that you have for the authentication method. "Normal password" is not the most common configuration for secure connections, Kerberos/GSSAPI, which seems to be the reason why you get the error message.

But if you are sure that the Kerberos/GSSAPI authentication is required, see this article for instructions on how to make the necessary changes in the Config. Publisher:

  • Set up e-mail without requirement of password account

When I configured my account manually and test again changes in box of normal password for pop3 and smtp authentication. It seems that the latest version of thunderbird stipulates that a password must be used at all times. This was not the case in my experience with older versions

All e-mail accounts have and need a password. Nothing has changed. When you set up your account it will be a checkbox to tell Thunderbird to remember the password and enter for you when your email provider server demand. Use this check box if you do not want to enter the password yourself.

  • set up a mail domain prior to apple mail?

I have a free mail address through a show (Namecheap) domain hosting for my business (i.e. [email protected]) and I can not for the life of figure me out how to configure it in apple mail so that I can send email from this email domain.  When I go into mail preferences to set up a new account, it requires a password to access the next step-, but as it is a mail forwarding system I've ever had to create a password.  Any ideas?

If your domain hosting only provides forwarding e-mail, then you can configure it with their tools E-mail domain on the server to transmit it to your free side

Try to set up an e-mail account pop on my HP ePrint App on my iPhone 4S.

It does not work. I fill all fields but the sign is greayed out and I can not connect.

    Hello

Again, I speak not of ePrint and you don't talk about ePrint. If you want to use applications on your iPhone, try the following:

If your printer supported Airprint, the installation is much simpler.

  • Cannot set the default mail Client

    All,

I have Office for Mac 2016 installed on my Mac Mini. When I go in the Mail from Mac client to set the default value for Outlook he selects fine, but then when I exit the application and go back inside, he returned back to Mac Mail?

Assistance to get this resolved would be greatly appreciated!

Although the problem is not the same, please follow the instructions in this article to support to reset the launch Services database. Instead of typing the shell command in the article, I suggest that you copy and paste the web page in the Terminal window. Make sure you only select the entire line. One way to do that is triple - click anywhere in the line.

If you do not already have a current backup, back up all data before proceeding. You should perhaps log out or restart to see a change.

  • How do I set up Windows mail to work with an iphone5 in mode 'hot spot' as the internet connection.

My internet is now via an iphone5 used as a hot spot.  How can I set up Vista "windows mail" to use with this? I've always used Windows mail when I had a high traditional rural snail speed dial and would still do that?  Thanks for any help you can offer!

The hotspot just iPhone connects you to the Internet, the e-mail application does not really know the difference (as much as he knows, he might as well be a Starbucks WiFi at the coffee shop).

It seems that you are properly connected to the hotspot, but that your e-mail program is not configured to download emails to iCloud.  Your hotspot is actually not related to that.  The mail app will download mail, regardless of how you connect to the web.

To set up your e-mail to iCloud program, you'll want to go to the account options in the e-mail software and add your iCloud account.

See: How to add or remove a Windows mail account

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/add-or-remove-a-Windows-mail-account

While you are on this page, do not forget knowledge more under the "Add account, end to end", which includes images and examples to help you set up the account.

After that, you should start getting your email into the Windows Mail program.

  • Y at - it a setting of Windows Mail to keep copy incoming e-mails on ISP server?

The use of Windows Mail in Vista Home Premium, how can I set a preference to leave a copy of each message entering on my server of the ISP? Currently, if I download email in Windows Mail, I can no longer access my ISP via iPad or iPhone. If I have not consulted the email through Windows Mail, I can easily see it from the iPad/iPhone, and then later can access via Windows Mail. But not the other way around. I looked for a setting on the web site of my ISP (cox.net) and talking to their tech support, but there seems to be nothing on their end to fix. I looked in the menus of Windows Mail and cannot find anything there either.
