  I think the size of partitions depends of the you want to use and install other software.
  So if you have a lot of software which runs under the Windows System I recommend to choose a larger size to win 8 partition.

  However, given that you have a 750 GB HARD drive, you could take 200GB for Win 8, 100 GB to Linux and the rest of the HARD drive size, that you can use for data.

  Please be specific on what you mean by "far from many errors on the hard drive."  What kind of mistakes? Do you mean the drive read errors? Please quote the error message you get exact, verbatim.

  But if you reduce the E partition so the free space would be available after the E partition and you will not be able to add this free space on the C partition, which is placed behind the E partition.

  I wouldn't try to consolidate anything - you could end up with a no boot situation. Some of us have recently discussed this and it was never cleared up. From what I know, it's the small recovery partition is Windows start-up files. The Efi partition is used for diagnosis, updates to the Bios, etc. Of course, C: is your partition Windows then recovered on D: files to run a system recovery in case you need to reinstall Windows.   You can resize your C: partition using the tools of Vista system.

  The only restriction is that you can't take a piece of D: and add it to C: (it must come to grips with D :)
