SFC fails to fix damage

Windows resource protection could not start the repair service.

I started as an administrator. Then, after a lot of mucking around; I had to change the WRP service manual, I had to remove pending.xml that required me to appropriate them, then reboot, then I was able to remove, so I ran sfc;

C:\Users\Soob>sfc/scannow

Soob,

The update issue occurs because winsxs cmiv2.dll hashes do not match the actual file hash values in the servicing stack, which is located in
Windows\System32\AdvancedInstallers.
The CBS.log newspaper shows can not repair the military file and its location,Microsoft-Windows-ServicingStack cmiv2.dll.
Which brings us to assume it refers to the file in the AdvancedInstallers subfolder.
You can replace cmiv2.dll using one of these 3 methods-

1 1 extraire extract from the Windows 7 DVD, grant Full permissions, take ownership of cmiv2.dll in the AdvancedInstallers subfolder, delete it, replace it with the copy of the extracted, repossess TrustedInstaller (owner of all system files), restart and check if the update issue is resolved.
How to extract system files missing from the DVD of Windows 7/Vista
2. make a "in-place upgrade", alias Installation repair - repair facility
Please take note of the recommendation to temporarily disable the installed AV, in your case, it would be trend. Recommend to Configure the system to boot if you aren't 100% sure the deactivation of all processes of trends and components.
After doing the above, that the system must have all updates for Windows 7 installed that were available in the system when it started first.

3. do a clean install of Windows 7.

    Hello

I can't try to repair the corrupted files on my Sony VAIO laptop to Windows 8. I hope someone can help me solve my problems. I would really like to know how to fix these problems I'm having. It really gets me.  If ever I have similar problems in the future.
All my drivers are up to date. I'm pretty confident that's not a malware issue. I take care of my line on activities that could infect my computer. Although I'm not 100% that excludes. I use Mcafee security Suite (fully updated and free with my broadband package). No other scanners time real AV are running. I However sometimes use a registry cleaner, after installation and installation of various programs. but I only use the default methods, never the registry COMPLETE cleaning cleaning method. In my view, these could create problems if used files. I also defragment my HARD drive of 1 TB at least once a week.

How to run the command "SFC/scannow" at startup or in Windows 8
    Information
This will show you how the sfc/scannow command to start or in Windows 8 in an attempt to trouble altered or modified system files.

If SFC is unable to repair the system files corrupted because the Bank (source) is damaged, then you could run the Dism/online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command to set the Windows component store corruption and then then try to re-run the SFC scan.

    OPTION ONE

To run the SFC/SCANNOW command. at startup

    1. open a prompt at startup.

2 in the command prompt, type diskpart and press ENTER, and then type the size of the list and press ENTER. (see screenshot below)

3 make Act your boot drive drive letters (ex: 350 MB "System Reserved" partition) and the drive of Windows 8, type Exit , and then press ENTER. (see screenshot above)

So I tried to solve a problem where my fans are running overtime on my end 2011 MBP 13 ". I did a reset of the PRAM and SMC. However, I'm not sure that the SMC reset has never really worked. In the past when perform SCM restores, I remember that my magsafe adaptor change color, this was not past. The problem with the fans running continues. I tried several times, it doesn't seem to work.

I don't know that I'm following the correct procedure, taking the left SHIFT-control-option and power keys at the same time and releasing at the same time.

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

The fan or sensor is maybe defective.  Run Apple Hardware Test:

Open the MBP and see if there is dust and debris inside.  If so, clean.

  • RH9 - Manager of informed resource not synchronized files, but fail all attempts to fix it

    Hello

I tried to find similar posts, but with broken forum search function I could not find anything useful.

I am a new user of RoboHelp HTML 9 and I learn the product.

My platform is a desktop PC running Windows XP with SP3.

As I leave, I'm building a pilot project using the new features that I will.

When I open the project now I get this message:

    RH9_ 2011-05-16_02.jpg

Even if I just click on ignore and close it, it pops up later.

Clicking on Sync or to go to the Resource Manager (RM) fails to fix those links.

In managing the resources related to the RM, I get the following:

    RH9_ 2011-05-16_01.jpg

The first picture of "Amended in these two places" displayed in the left pane of the "resource in the project" visually looks the same as the one in the right pane of the "resource in the shared location".

It is the same for the second photo.

in my attempts to solve this problem, c. lick any combination of radio buttons and buttons (Sync/replace Link) (updated in the project/update in the shared location) do not work for each file. I always get the same result: 'Impossible to update or files'.

I am wary of using the links remove because I want the link to keep so RM can inform if someone changes the file and if I don't know how to restore the links (if possible).

What could be the cause of the problem? How can I solve this problem? (i.e. to resynchronize the links).

    Thank you!

It's a longshot only try it on a copy of your project.

Create a copy of the resource file, it is important that do not delete the folder existing at this stage.

With the copy of your closed project, open rhsharedresource.apj in a text editor such as Notepad. You will see the current path and can edit is here to show the path to the new folder of resources.

Trash the CPD file in the copy, and then reopen the project.

I have tried and I have to say that I doubt it will work because of other data in rhsharedresource.apj. However, the worst that can happen is that it does not work. Your original project will always point to the resource in the project and untouched by this procedure.

Let us know if it works.

  • "sfc/scannow" was not able to repair some files, one or more of which must be in the path of an installation of Vista SP2

I tried to install the SP2 of Vista for a few days now with no luck. Earlier today, I had a breakthrough and was finally able to install 'patch for Windows", which, after a reboot, enabled me to see the x 64 SP2 update in part"updates"of the control panel. When I tried to install that, he said he failed and gave me an error code. When I looked it up, it says try "sfc/scannow" in an elevated command prompt. The research a ton of lines of logs and errors, and after looking through, I could find these as (the least most) files problem-

    WinSAT.exe
    Amd64\HPF940AL. DLL

My question is, are any of these files required for the installation of Vista SP2 to cross? Thanks in advance for any help offered, and more information is needed, I will gladly provide.

  • KB3035583 failed - cannot access control panel or turn off PC

Because today, I'm not able to access control panel or turn off my PC Windows8.

I checked the software updates, and I see that the KB3035583 update failed last night. If windows 10 update I don't want installed nor am I eligible for it. However, this update failed meant now I can not access PC settings, control panel or turn off my PC. Also I am not able to run any command as an administrator because it tells me that I don't have that even if I am sure that this feature is enabled, and it's my PC denied access. I also tried restore but even that does not work.

    Advice please?

This tutorial will show you how to restore the PC settings on applications screen and set the 'Change PC settings' link in the charm of settings (+ I) in Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1.

And these eightforums.com tutorials are very detailed for the problems resulting from Scan SFC:

    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/3047-sfc-scannow-command-run-Windows-8-a.html

Read it in conjunction with the rest of the information they give link above.

    Note

If SFC could not fix something, then run the new command to see if it can be able to next time. Sometimes, it can take by running the sfc/scannow command 3 times restart the PC after each time completely fix everything what he is capable of.

If not, then run the Dism/online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command to repair damage to the component store,

    Repair-WindowsImage-online - CheckHealth

    Repair-WindowsImage-online - ScanHealth

    Repair-WindowsImage-online - RestoreHealth

Restart the PC afterwards, and then retry the command sfc/scannow .

If still no, then try using ONE OPTION above to run the command sfc/scannow at the start

If still no, then you could do a Refresh of Windows 8, or run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the wrong file occurred to fix. You may need to repeat doing a restore of the system until you find a restore point that is older that may work.

If not yet, then you can use the steps in the TIP box in the section THREE OPTION to manually replace the files SFC could not fix.

NTFS is incompatible, or there is a hardware failure, or it's a SoftRAID(4)/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows, and then restart Windows twice. Using the /f parameter is very important! If the device is a SoftRAID(4)/FakeRAID then frst activate and mount a different device under the/dev/map/directory, (for example/dev/map/nvidia_eahaabcc1). See the documentation for 'dmraid' for more details.

It is not mount on windows either: "i/o device error".

This is a disk with a single partition hard ntfs

Of course, I tried chkdsk /f. reported several file segments as unreadable, he didn't say if he fixed them or not (apparently not). also tried with the indicator/b.

    ntfsfix reported as corrupted volume.

TestDisk was able to correct a small error with the partition table by adding the '80' for the active partition indicator (only). TestDisk also confirmed that the boot sector was very good and it corresponded to the backup. However, when you try to repair the MFT, he could not read the MFT. He could not also the list of files on the hard drive. It says file system may be damaged.

Active @ also shows that the MFT is missing or damaged.

I tried to replace the USB cable. Has not changed anything. I tried to update the driver. Windows reported that he was already up to date. Yes, the pilot has been activated.

So, how can I fix the file system? or MFT? or the I/o device error?
I used the HARD drive for months. This problem started 2 days ago. I also tried to mount it on other computers, without success.

    Hello

I'm sorry to read about problems with your drive.
Unfortunately, I think that the question is misplaced a bit as your case appears to be the health of your rather external HARD drive that a specific problem related to Linux.

To add clips, if the tools you use have failed to fix your drive, then I do not think that a user 'normal' forum will no longer.
I know it's a fine recommendation and probably just add salt in your wounds: If you really care for files, do a sector backup before doing any file system / partition own modifications.
The reason is very simple - if the tool you use has made a mistake when judging what actions are the right ones, and submit these changes, you move your goal - and fast!
Instead of repairing, the tool can simply corrupt data even further.
Any subsequent change aggravates the disorder exponentially.

Judging by the details in your message, I'm sorry to say that I think your drive is defective, or at least the data is lost.
Of course some companies will probably be able to restore it, but that normally costs a fortune.

Unless you are willing to spend astronomical amounts of money on data rescue, so I suggest to accept data loss and look at what you can do with the HARD drive.
Try to format. No problem, this indicates the drive is defective and must be replaced.

    Sorry for so little help.

    Tom BR
