It's sad to say THAT PPPOE on the Apple is not reliable.

I have the same problem... I can't use routers Apple with PPPOE on my modem in bridge... regardless of the brand.

PPPOE is a bunch of variations... PAP or CHAP for example... and the number of... repeated attempts time between repetitions.

Apple offers zero... whether it's no control... they are all available right now to find out what newspapers or.

I had to simply replace the Apple router with another router... any other router seems to work fine... It's just the Apple that failed on me...

Manual steps to recover a corrupted registry that prevents the start of the procedure that this article describes to Windows XP using System Restore and Recovery Console. This article lists also all required specific steps to ensure that the process is fully completed. When you have completed this procedure, the system returns to a state very close to the State until the problem occurred. If you have ever run NTBackup and completed a system state backup, you don't have to follow the procedures in parts two and three. You can go to part IV. First part in the first part, you start the Recovery Console, create a temporary folder, back up the existing registry files to a new location, delete the registry from their existing location files and then copy the registry files in the repair folder to the System32\Config folder. When you have completed this procedure, a registry is created that you can use to start Windows XP. This registry was created and saved during the initial setup of Windows XP. Therefore, any changes and settings that took place after Setup has finished are lost.

The full, first part, follow these steps:

    1. Insert the diskette of starting Windows XP in the floppy drive, or insert the Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM drive and restart the computer.

Click to select all of the options required to start the computer from the CD-ROM drive if you are prompted to do so.
  • When the "Welcome" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
  • If you have a dual-boot or multiboot, select the installation that you want to access from the Recovery Console.
  • When you are prompted to do so, type the administrator password. If the administrator password is blank, just press ENTER.
  • At the Recovery Console prompt, type the following lines, pressing ENTER after you type each line:
    MD tmp
    copy c:\windows\system32\config\system c:\windows\tmp\system.bak
    copy c:\windows\system32\config\software c:\windows\tmp\software.bak
    Copy c:\windows\system32\config\sam c:\windows\tmp\sam.bak
    copy c:\windows\system32\config\security c:\windows\tmp\security.bak
    copy c:\windows\system32\config\default c:\windows\tmp\default.bak

    delete c:\windows\system32\config\system
    delete c:\windows\system32\config\software
    Delete c:\windows\system32\config\sam
    delete c:\windows\system32\config\security
    Delete c:\windows\system32\config\default

    Copy c:\windows\repair\system c:\windows\system32\config\system
    copy c:\windows\repair\software c:\windows\system32\config\software
    copy c:\windows\repair\sam c:\windows\system32\config\sam
    Copy c:\windows\repair\security c:\windows\system32\config\security
    Copy c:\windows\repair\default c:\windows\system32\config\default

  • Type exit to quit the Recovery Console. Your computer will restart.
  • Note This procedure assumes that Windows XP is installed in the C:\Windows folder. Make sure that replace C:\Windows with case windows_folder If it is a different place.

If you have access to another computer, to save time, you can copy the text in step 5, and then create a text file called "Regcopy1.txt" (for example). To use this file, run the following command when you start in Recovery Console:

    batch regcopy1.txt

With the command batch to the Recovery Console, you can process all the commands in a text file in the order. When you use the batch command, you do not have to manually type as many commands. Second part to perform the procedure described in this section, you must be logged on as an administrator or an administrative user (a user who has an account in the Administrators group). If you use Windows XP Home Edition, you can connect as an administrative user. If you sign in as an administrator, you must first start Windows XP Home Edition in safe mode. To start the computer in Windows XP Home Edition in safe mode, follow these steps.

Note Print these instructions before continuing. You cannot view these instructions after you restart the computer in Mode safe. If you use the NTFS file system, also print the instructions from article KB309531 of the Knowledge Base. Step 7 contains a reference to the article.

    1. Click Start, click shut down (or click turn off computer), click restart, and then click OK (or click restart).
    2. Press the F8 key.

On a computer that is configured to start to multiple operating systems, you can press F8 when you see the boot menu.

    3. Use the arrow keys to select the appropriate safe mode option and press ENTER.
    4. If you have a dual-boot or multiboot system, use the arrow keys to select the installation that you want to access, and then press ENTER.

In part two, you copy the registry of their location saved files by using the system restore. This folder is not available in the Recovery Console, and is usually not visible on the typical use. Before you begin this procedure, you must change several settings to make the folder visible:

    1. Start Windows Explorer.
    2. On the Tools menu, click folder options.
    3. Click the view tab.
    4. Under hidden files and folders, select Show hidden folders and files, and then click to clear the Hide protected (recommended) operating system files check box.
    5. When appears in the dialog box confirming that you want to display these files, click Yes .
    6. Double-click the drive where you installed Windows XP to display the list of folders. If it is important to click on the correct drive.
    7. Open the System Volume Information folder. This folder is not available and is dimmed because it is defined as a file hidden doubling.

Note This folder contains one or more _restore {GUID} folders such as "_restore {87BD3667-3246-476B-923F-F86E30B3E7F8}.

Note You may receive the following error message:

C:\System Volume Information is not accessible. Access is denied.

If you receive this message, see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base for access to this folder and continue with the procedure:

309531 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309531/) how to access the System Volume Information folder
    8. Open a folder that was created not at the present time. You may need to click Details on the view menu to see when these folders were created. There may be one or more folders starting with "RP x under this folder." Here are the restore points.
    9. Open one of these folders to find a subfolder of the snapshot. The following path is an example of a folder path to the snapshot folder:
      C:\System Volume \RP1\Snapshot Information\_restore {D86480E3-73EF-47BC-A0EB-A81BE6EE3ED8}
    10. Starting from the Snapshot folder, copy the following files to the C:\Windows\Tmp folder:
      • _REGISTRY_USER_. DEFAULT
      • _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SECURITY
      • _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SOFTWARE
      • _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SYSTEM
      • _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SAM
    11. Rename the files in the C:\Windows\Tmp folder as follows:
      • Rename _REGISTRY_USER_. DEFAULT DEFAULT
      • Rename _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SECURITY to SECURITY
      • Rename _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SOFTWARE to SOFTWARE
      • Rename _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SYSTEM to SYSTEM
      • Rename _REGISTRY_MACHINE_SAM to SAM

These files are the system restore registry files. Because you used the registry file that the Setup program created, this registry does not know that these restore points exist and are available. A new folder is created with a new GUID under System Volume Information and a restore point is created that includes a copy of the registry files that were copied during the first part. Therefore, it is important not to use the most recent folder, especially if the time stamp on the folder is the same at the moment.

The current configuration of the system is not aware of the previous restore points. You must have a previous copy of the registry to a previous restore point to make previous restore available again points.

The registry files that were copied to the Tmp folder in the C:\Windows folder are moved to ensure the files are available in the Recovery Console. You use these files to replace the registry files currently in the C:\Windows\System32\Config folder. By default, the Recovery Console has limited access to records and cannot copy the files in the File System Volume.

Note The procedure described in this section assume you are using your computer with the FAT32 file system. For more information on how to access the folder of information system with the NTFS file system Volume, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

309531 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309531/) how to access the System Volume Information folder

Part three in the third part, you delete the existing registry files, and then copy the system restore registry files to the C:\Windows\System32\Config folder:

    1. Start the Recovery Console.
    2. At the command prompt, type the following lines, pressing ENTER after you type each line:
      del c:\windows\system32\config\sam

      del c:\windows\system32\config\security

      del c:\windows\system32\config\software

      del c:\windows\system32\config\default

      del c:\windows\system32\config\system

      copy c:\windows\tmp\software c:\windows\system32\config\software

      copy c:\windows\tmp\system c:\windows\system32\config\system

    copy c:\windows\tmp\sam c:\windows\system32\config\sam

    Copy c:\windows\tmp\security c:\windows\system32\config\security

    Copy c:\windows\tmp\default c:\windows\system32\config\default

Note Some of these command lines may be wrapped for readability.

  • Type exit to quit the Recovery Console. Restart the computer.
  • Note This procedure assumes that Windows XP is installed in the C:\Windows folder. Make sure that replace C:\Windows with case windows_folder If it is a different place.

If you have access to another computer, to save time, you can copy the text in step 2, and then create a text file named "Regcopy2.txt" (for example). To use this file, run the following command when you start in Recovery Console:

    regcopy2.txt batch

    Fourth part

    1. Click Startand then click all programs.
    2. Click on Accessories, then System Tools.
    3. Click System Restore, and then click restore to a previous RestorePoint.

You can see the [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/e10144/under_mods.htm#HSADM682] documentation for the PlsqlDatabaseConnectStringparameter.

If the format argument is not specified, module mod_plsql assumes that the string is in the format HOST: PORT: SID, or can be solved by Net8. The differentiation between the two is made by the presence of the colon to the specified string.

The behavior depends on the 2nd parameter. Apparently, when you set the TNS_ADMIN environment variable (which corresponds to the location of your SQL * Net configuration files), mod_plsql was the connection string (presumably w00) in your tnsnames.ora able to solve.

    Thank you

  • Configuration VIC 1225 in C240 problems

I'm trying to set up a server with the installed VIC 1225 C240.

Firstly, I would like to know if it is even possible to use it without fabric interconnections or Nexus switches. Suppose that I am just their regular snap up some 10GbE switches. I can change this but wante to have a better idea of my design decisions - not much info about when the VIC 1225 may or must be used outside this context. »

Secondly, I am following the instructions here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/unified_computing/UCS/c/SW/CLI/config/Guide/1.4.1/b_Cisco_UCS_C-Series_CLI_Configuration_Guide_141_chapter_01001.html#task_3C31BD7B25BF4CF6839B7B12DE014482

I checked that the VIC is installed in slot 1 visually as well as via the output below, but the output below is not what I expected by the documentation. I am not able to enter into the scope of this adapter, and it appears in "display adapters pci" and not "adapters". It is as if she is not even recognized as a VIC.

    Matt,

The VIC 1225 is fully supported as a stand-alone card outside UCSM and by default it runs in the classic Ethernet mode which means that it is compatible with any standard IEEE 10GE switch.

The VIC is not supported in Slot 1 in the C240, he is supported in Slot 2 or 5

Without be installed into the cracks, the connector of NC - if at the end of the PCIe bus will not be conencted and the MMIC has no interface to configure the card.  Once you have installed it in a supported housing, you should be able to frame scope and show the adapter.  Then brought to the map as shown below

  • "Houston-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.jbo.ConfigException, msg = Houston-33005: Configuration FrameworkCommonsAMLocal is not found" problem with the Extension of the framework as a library class

    JDeveloper version - 11.1.1.7.0

I followed this blog http://www.java-n-me.com/2013/11/adf-good-practice-provide-your-own-base.html to create an extension framework as a library class and added to my request.

In the library, I read only VO based on a table of database and is added to a module of the Application. In my AMImpl class I wrote a method say 'retrieveVersion' that runs my VO and returns a string. The original Version has been exposed in the client interface.

In my main application, I added the library both model and the view. The block of data in my main application commands I drag and drop the method retrieveVersion my page as button and his return as an output text. On the page running, I get the following error

  • Acrobat pro 10 will not configure presets... recent problem

I have been using Acrobat x pro for 2-3 years on windows 7 pro 64-bit.

No problem until 3 months ago.

    1. when I try and reconfigure my scanning presets... it allows them to be saved, but does not actually change their.

    2. at times when I try, I certify my documents with my certificate preallocated than loading other certificates for another program that imposes a check Internet for other applications. I then find the Acrobat created certification records.

    Thank you

    Victeeth

I found the solution to this problem... I already did what recommended you without result.

There was corruption in these files... so I copied them elsewhere where my assumption was incorrect and then deleted from the folder

    C:\Documents and Settings\ "user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\Preferences\Scan."

I then restarted Acrobat 10 pro and I was then to change default scan settings, save them and use them according to the last record.

The file above has had the new preferences.

  • Configuration of a HP Proliant problem... How much memory is enough?

    Thank you for reading;

I've used VirtualBox, QEMU, Virtual PC and others for a while to virtualize the instances of the different Linux and Windows guest OS.  In the company I currently works, there are several Proliant DL380s and vmware used on them (although dated) is very functional.  I have problems comnvincing needs some people internally that we just do not have enough physical memory on systems network avirtual actually grown to satisfy our tests.  For example, the construction/implementation of 15 Linux systems on a single server took almost a week.  I tried several ways to speed up things (creation of devices) but little success. (i.e. that I exported a device and then through any pain to import this unit several times, did install vanilla at the same time, etc...)

The proliant in question has 12 GB of memory, 2 X E5504 Intel processors, 2 volumes of 500 GB, etc.

    The questyion base is THEREFORE:

How to speed up the creation and installation of virtual machines?  Should what guidelines I use to upgrade memory of the Proliant?  What is the vmware load itself on the proliant?  I guess that several virtual machines running, it's going to be a LOT of swapping, simply due to the lack of physical memory.  ALL the tracks will help.

    Thank you all

    Welcome to the community.

I suggest reading some graphics performance (mem, cpu, drives,...) to see that it might be the bottleneck.

Usually, with local storage, the problem is on the parts of disks (remember to have a latency of less than 20 ms).

  • Installation and configuration with XI Acrobat pro problem

I downloaded the Acrobat Pro XI test program, with no error message. When I clisk on "setup.exe" error message is displayed, see screenshot:

"This patch package could not be opened. "Verify that the hotfix package hit and you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a hotfix Windose valid installer package."

    Setup error message(031913).jpg

How can I get the installer to start?

    @LeoAdobeX,

Sorry to post bad newspapers. Having a problem with the msi logging. Follow-up of the KB314852 (a second time). In my view, set logging works.  Question aside about msi logging, KB314852 and assistance by using Group Policy. Step 3 k gives a path to "Windows Installer". When I followed the path, there is no "Windows Installer" item not listed and I could not find a way to display the item to "install Windows".  Suggestions?

Again, here is 2 links to msi files. I think they call the AcroPro.msi. but theMSI828b3.LOG was the only one that I could find which contain the word 'Acro '.

  • Configuration of the SDK software problem

When installing Flex Builder 3 beta, I installed the SDK in a location not standard (it is the same for the already installed 2.0.1 SDK of Flex Builder 2). Flex Builder 3 is none of them. When I try to manually add (Window-> Preferences-> Flex-> installed Flex SDKS), I get an error message "the page contains invalid values". In Flex Builder 2, the location of the SDK has been configured in < file eclipse > / configuration/com.adobe.flexbuilder/flexbuilder2.xml, Flex Builder 3 does not have this configuration file, so I guess that it relies on a standard location for the SDK.
-Are there of the workaround to get there (to add software development kits custom)?
-What is the location of the standard installation of the SDK?

    Thank you
    Peter

    Hi Peter,.

    A few questions:
-have you installed the Standalone or Plugin of FB 3 version?
-have you tried to uninstall and then re - install, either to a location standard or standard?

It is important not to move the location of the SDKs folder tree by default once it is installed, FB is configured by the installer to find that tree and use it as its default global values. You can add your own additional copies of the SDK, in addition to the global default paths, but as if this works only if the default global paths are intact (juicy bug there).

You can try another miracle solution is changing the file plugins/com.adobe.flexbuilder.flex_*/config.xml, to fix the overall paths which were disconnected on your system.

I would like to know how this happens,

  • Last good known Configuration - Question and problem

Hi, I have a problem about the last good known Configuration. my computer has an initial problem and I managed to get rid of this by copying the file hal.dll in my windows XP cd. but to cut the long story short, now everytime I turn on my computer, it loads a different (or perhaps old/incorrect) configuration of windows and that the default configuration of windows has a problem and I put the cpu and the new. in order to ensure that it loads correctly, I have to press F8, choose last known good configuration and choose the right configuration. I do this whenever I start my computer now. I wonder if there is a way to remove the incorrect configuration or set the right configuration default so that I don't have to keep hitting F8 every time I start my computer? Apart from the replacement of the hal.dll file, I also replaced the boot.ini file by following these steps: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixthe...airbootini.htm

    Hi JulianLin,

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

  • Equium L20-197 - wireless connection problems

Have an old Toshiba laptop Equium L20 - 197, running windows XP Home Edition.

It contains an Atheros AR5005G wireless network adapter.

The problem I have is that it will connect to my BT home hub (and says that the connection is excellent), but does not connect to any Web site.

I added a USB 802.11 wireless adapter g to see if I can get a connection there, and it works very well (even if it is interesting only by using the wireless utility Ralink that comes with it - when I tried with the automatic Windows Wireless Configuration, I had the same problem as before - no internet connection - switched back to the Ralink utility and it works fien again).

Internal wireless adapter worked fine, but now do not - any suggestion welcome.

    Thank you very much

    Rob

PS I went to Device Manager and check the updates of pilot, but he told me that he found nothing better than the used version of the driver!

    Hello

There may be some conflicts between internal WLan card and the new external 802.11 g Wireless USB adapter.

If not, you should check the configuration of the Atheros AR5005G wireless network adapter.
In the Device Manager-> card WLan-> properties-> Advanced tab, you can change the WLAN standard 802. 11 (A B G) on the same which is used by the router.

If the router uses 802.11 G can change this in the Wlan settings too!
Also check the channel. I put the channel on my router and the wireless network card to 11.

You can also try to connect to the router without using a WLan encryption. Of course, this should be done only for the test.

Las, but not the least, update the driver WLan:
