Single layer color bit depth is possible?

As you may know, gradients like banding in 8-bit color.

Also, my stray light is very similar to 8-bit, but terrible in 16 bits. (it will leave a realistic rocket to a big fuzzy ball)

So can I change the number of bits of the layer with the gradient?

Thank you.

Try using the compander. You will find this under Effects > utilities.

If you use the Commander to compress, then expand the lens flair range should look great in 16 or 32 bit and interact better with the other layers. It's a question of settings and blending modes. The best way to apply a flair of the lens is to add to a solid black and set the blending mode to add / screen. Something like this:

When importing and Illustrator document as images instead of a model, you are presented with an option to select the merged layers or choose your layer. I'm a little surprised that you even need to ask.

  • Relationship of Bit depth and color profile

Can someone explain what the relationship between the color of a file profile and he has little depth, if there is a relationship?

It is not a. Bit depth tells you how many nuances a pixel can have (256 shades of gray in an image in 8-bit grayscale) while the color profile tell you how this pixel looks really (he transforms a number like 255/0/0 in a specific shade of red in the case of sRGB)

  • on 23fi HP pavilion monitor bit depth

Just bought a HP pavilion 23fi monitor and photos show an effect of Posterization, mainly in the sky.  I was wondering what bit depth this particular monitor is what I think may be the cause

I'm sorry for the delay in answering your question.

Here is the response I received from HP:

According to the person who knows these things, the depth is 6 bits with Frame rate control (FRC).

FRC is a temporal form of dithering that cycles between shades of different color with each new image to simulate an intermediate shade. This can create a potentially sensitive spark of 30 Hz. FRC tends to be more visible in the darker tones, while dithering appears to make visible the individual pixels of the LCD screen. (from Wikipedia)

  • Avoid to group all the objects in different layers into a single layer

When I group objects to different layers, they all end up in single layer... I have a slight memory of what it is possible to the group object without affecting the layers... maybe a setting?

    Vincent,

Crossposting: I was the addition of the procedure (which I posted accidentally before finishing).

    Here's the Bill:

But you can create a selection across layers as follows, using the drop down selection:

    Select objects, then > Save selection, selection of a name;

After that, the choice is displayed at the bottom of the drop-down list selection, available for selection (sorry)

  • Script: A single layer to set the opacity of the other layers?

    Hello

I have a lot of layers in my computer whose name begins with "POINTER_".

I need these layers to falter at the same time.

But I can't the subcomp or use stencil alpha.

I don't know that it is possible to make a script on an adjustment layer that would do just that.

All he needs to do is to allow me to make keyframes this adjustment layer opacity associated then with the opacity of each layer starting by 'POINTER_ '.

I'm not a guy of script, so it would be great if someone could show me how to do this.

    Thank you very much!

    see you soon,

    Chris

You don't need a script to do this; you need an expression.

You can easily bind properties between layers with expressions. In this case, you apply an effect cursor Expression to your layer zero (or just use the property opacity of an adjustment layer). ALT-click on the opacity for one of your layers property then use the pick whip to choose cursor effect or the property opacity of your layer of control. Now, when you change the value of a single layer, the others follow. You can copy and paste the expression resulting from your icon from selection for the other layers. (You can even choose to copy expression only and then paste that to the rest of the layers).

  • Problems with the PDF any bit depth

    4bitrgb.PNG

The left image is a view in Acrobat Pro to an original file. It also appears correctly in the Indesign document in preview high resolution. The right shows the result after an export to PDF of this document of identity.

The background color of the original image is a 4-bit RGB bitmap image; on the right, Acrobat Pro claims that it is now "24-bit". The original image can be changed by editing with Photoshop (he claims that it is an "unsupported color space"); refrying the original by printing a second time for PDF does not work, because the image remains unchanged. Change the color on the inside space the original PDF leads to the same result (changes the color space, but the bit depth remains the same). Open the entire PDF file in Photoshop gives the same result, as shown on the right (because apparently the PS can not handle this 4 - bit color space).

The only way of setting the color space that has worked so far is to open all PDF in Illustrator and re-save AS. However, Illustrator converts * some * vectorised text (without specifying why, because it is all Arial).

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem while maintaining the original vector data?

(OT, but worth noting anyway: I had to connect (waiting), go to the forum ID (wait once again), find a ' Post' button which worked (new waiting) and try to write this mail in 3 different browsers.) IE does not work - you cannot insert an image and expect to be able to type text. Firefox took so long to load even the text editor that I dropped. Chrome works - slowly. Certainly room for improvement here.)

    edited by retouching with Photoshop (he claims it is an "unsupported color space");

It is true that Photoshop is the Mode of Bitmap 1 bit and modes of 8-bit in levels of grayscale, Duotone and color Index with nothing in between.

I guess you tried to export with compression and a sampling turned off?

  • For dissemination of TVC video bit depth? (and the request for audio levels)

Bit depth - does anyone know if the export to the maximum depth is a problem to stream TV?

    Export Settings-2.jpg

I am about to download a TV spot 30 second to Adstream and want to get some feedback on the technical specifications before making, because they charge my client by upload, so no matter what mistake I make costs them.

I have now a few new options PPCS5.5 and TEA that I didn't have before.

Also, anyone know the audio level required for broadcasting... When I use Final Cut Pro suites for broadcast, I learned by direct feedack of Adstream it should be less than or equal to-9 dB on the counters.

    Timeline.jpg

So currently I export the Audition sequence then finalize the audio with the "hard limit" effect to a constant level to-9 dB.

By the way, if anyone wants to chuck in a few tips general progress be my guest, I'd be interested to hear the thoughts of people experience.

For animations TVC my workflow consists currently of-

    Clapper is a nested sequence

TVC is a dynamic linked AE project

    Audio is sweetened in hearing

I am in New Zealand and know the Adstream specifications.  You will find that they are very focused on the Mac.

    Don't worry "bit depth".

Just to confirm, Adstream has accepted the material that has been treated to a 'higher bit depth"without any hitch.

    It's kind of feeling...

    Summarizing my understanding...

Checking the box next to "make maximum depth" will make the file using all data available for the file color, but will always be 'resigned' (as you say Jim) 8-bit according to the format... (this is exactly what happens if you choose to export to Quicktime h.264 as I do for broadcast). The size of the file to finish a little more grand, that tells me that there is more data (and quality) kept in the final video (as you would expect if you check the box.)

Here's a snipit of the media info that confirms the final bit depth = 8bits

    Format                                   : AVC

    Format/Info: Advanced Video Codec

    Format profile: [email protected]

Identifier of the codec/Info: Advanced Video Coding

    Bit rate mode: Variable

    Bitrate: 8 614 Kbps

    Frame rate mode: Constant

    Frame rate: 25.000 fps

    Standard: PAL

    Color space: YUV

    The chroma subsampling: 4:2:0

    Color depth: 8 bit

    Scan type: Progressive

  • Change of bit depth

I'm new to working with RAW image files.  I got my camera thransferred.  However, I lose the ability to save in jpg format.  I can can save to PDF or Tiff, most others but simply not jpg.  I change the color of the 8 and 16 bit depth option.  Would it have caused this problem?

    Thank you

Yes photoshop elements will not save files in 16-bit/channel in JPEG format, unless you

Use file > save for Web.

You can change the number of bits in the dialog box camera raw (at the bottom of the dialog box)

    or modify elements Image > Mode > 8 bits/channel.

  • Copy objects to their own single layer?

I know I've seen it once, but I don't know if Illustrator had.

Is it possible to "copy layer"? As if I make a selection of a bunch of objects (in a single layer), is it possible to copy and paste so each pasted object is in its own layer? As if I had 1 layer and 5 objects, copy and paste then would give me more than 5 layers, with an object in each. (I'm actually out of 5)

  • How to convert the pulse signal line single layer

    Hello

I tried to create a VI that will allow me to convert a pulse signal (generated by a tachometer) in a line single layer, indicating that a revolution succeeded. I would like to overlay this line on other signals generated.

I am able to detect the falling edge of the signal, but I could not make a suitable line. I tried to create a new waveform, and juggle the markers, but no method worked for me.

Does anyone have ideas for a good way to do this?

    Below is my test VI.

Make the second vertical lines style trace (trace style: no points, no interpolation, fill - inf). a NaN whener you don't want a power cable and a '+ inf' when you want a vertical line.

    Here's a simple example:
