  I don't know exactly the question that your question was separated from the previous thread.

  What you ping? Another computer on your network? You are in a domain environment?
  Are all the computers on your network, Windows Vista or Windows XP?

  One thing, you can check to go in the registry.

  1. open the Start Menu > run and type regedit and press the Enter key

  2. navigate to the following location
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Lsa
  3. Locate the restrictanonymous key

  4. double-click on the key, set the value to 0 and press OK
  5. exit the registry and restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

• RESOLVED: Ping: transmit failed. General failure

  I am having some problems with the connection and rattling.  Right now, I only get not all ip addresses on all types of adapters, not even a 169.x.x.x address.  When I try to ping what anyone, including the 172.0.0.1, I get the error "Ping: transmit failed." General failure. "  I tried a system restore with no luck.  I tried to uninstall and reinstall my wireless network card driver and restart my computer.  I've never seen this problem before and am off troubleshooting options.  Any advice?  Thank you.

  Solved the problem by doing a restore of the system and by performing a DNS flush. I don't know what caused the problem or what really fixed it. Normal is just a setting on a washing machine.

  I have a kiosk project that loads external swf very large (200-300 MB) with video integrated in function 'screen saver '. The screen saver charge (and discharge) maybe 3 or 4, and then, on the 5th, the application does not load the SWF file. I also get an "out of virtual memory" message to the taskbar.
  
  Based on that observation, I began the follow-up of the 'task manager' for 'Util' and found that every time the screensaver Manager, a few hundred MB would be added to the Page file... AND HE LEFT. Thus, with each screen saver successive loading, the PF would get more increasingly broad.
  
  I think this is the reason for the swf screensaver which stops loading after a certain number of times.
  
  I've tried the settings of FP in great settings windows, but doesn't seem to help. The swf file stops loading when the PF is about 1.5 to 1.7 GB, even if I set the pf max to 4096 MB.
  
  Is it then possible to "empty" the PF during the unloading of the extern SWF?

  I did a few tests more. I made a test database movie that loads an external swf, the code below.
  
  the "loadtest.swf" is a large TIFF on the stage which gives the swf file to a size about 5 MB. Also on this SWF is a button that calls removeScreenSaver() to discharge.
  
  What I have observed in this test, it's that when the loaded swf file is removed, PART of the memory is cleaned file exchange, but NOT ALL about HER. Therefore, it has the same potential problems.

  Problems with oulook mail not send or receive (this is a problem in itself) require me to restart.  Used laptop computer stops responding after that the Windows screen opens.  I have to shut down with the power button.  Suggestions and will I damage the hard drive by doing this?  Thank you

  I have a little test lan with the installation of 2611xm for ipsec vpn.

  On each fe port I have a laptop plugged directly inside, int is assigned by dhcp, and outside at this stage is static.

  I use 3rd party ipsec client program shrewsoft customer vpn.

  The tunnel rises and its is established with many packages of encryption and decryption.

  As mentioned in the title, each second ping fails in both directions from client to client, router 100% inside the cell phone pings and fails to address assigned 192.168.1.10 to the client ipsec "remote".

  Here is my config and below that, I think that highlights where might be the cause, the arp entry address assigned ipsec is incomplete.

  An ipconfig/all on the "remote" client shows a mac address of the int as aaaa.aaaa.aa00 tunnel.

  The router should not have even this particular ARP entry because there is no router with the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet interface, so there is no reason for the router to ARP for this subnet unless you connect a PC with the 192.168.1.10 ip address previously. I suggest that you turn off the router ARP entry "clear arp.

  For the following path statement: ip route 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 FastEthernet0/1, I would like to change the next hop of the fa0/1 to the actual ip address of the next hop router (or your ip address of PC if you connect directly a PC to the router interface fa0/1), that is to say:

• Unable to ping the remote host IP address

  I have a home network with 2 desktop computers, printer, TV and BlueRay attached.  The PC is both XP and members of the same workgroup.  I can't get the connectivity between the PC 2.  With 1 PC, I ping successfully all connected devices, with the exception of 2 PC.  2 PC, I ping equipment successfully connected, including 1 PC...  I get the same information using a different router and a different network on 2 PC card.

  I tried the following steps of the Article 314067:

  1. check on two PC's TCP/IP configuration.  Result: good on both PCs.

  2. use the ping tool to test connectivity.

  • Ping the loopback address.  Result: good on both PC
  • Ping to the IP address of the local computer.  Result: good on both PC
  • Ping the IP address of the default gateway.  Result: good on both PCs.
  • Ping to the IP address of the remote host.  Result: bad on PC 1, good on PC 2
  • Ping other IP addresses on the network.  Result: good on both PCs.
  • Ping the host name of the other PC.  Result: bad on PC 1, good on PC 2

  Firewall such as Norton, McAfee etc can cause a loss of network connectivity, even when the network is correctly configured. Try disabling the firewall on both computers to see if the ping works.

• Connection Internet fails at time intervals

  My network topology is: my PC connects to a router via the wireless network, and the router connects to the internet using PPPoE.

  The detail is pretty weird, and I have no idea to solve it. When this problem occurs:

  • The wireless button it's OK.
  • I can ping my router,
  • can ping to internet IP (which is a server on our lab with fixed public IP).
  • can ping to a name (www.baidu.com).

  But the internet is not usable:

  • Web pages are not accessible, using any web browser (Chrome and IE).
  • SSH to remote server (the server that I ping) has failed.
  • Web games can not be connected (war Thunder). Already connected game sessions will have a high PING and high packet loss, but has still some Exchange package with game server.

  It seems that all the materials are OK, because:

  • The router and outside are OK, because my phone can access the internet through the router.
  • My computer is OK, because I use it to post this thread, using Debian.

  So I think it has to do with the configuration of Windows.

  I tried to find solutions and already tried this:

  netsh winsock reset catalog

  It does not help.

  I finally found the reason. It is caused by aliedit which is a plugin for browser of alipay. When I kill the process, my connection become normal. Now, I've disabled services, on and deleted the executable files from another system.

  I have a home network of 2 laptops and a desktop computer.  They are all on the same network and the working group. I followed these steps.

  1 ping the loopback address to verify that TCP/IP is installed and configured correctly on the local computer. To do this, type the following command:

  Ping 127.0.0.1

  If the loopback test fails, the IP stack is not responding. This problem may occur if one or more of the following conditions are true:

  the o TCP drivers are corrupted.

  o the network adapter does not work.

  o another service is interfering with IP.

  2. ping the IP address of the local computer to verify that the computer was successfully added to the network. If the routing table is correct, this procedure transfers just the packet to the loopback address 127.0.0.1. To do this, type the following command:

  IP address of host local ping

  If the loopback test succeeds but you cannot ping the local IP address, there may be a problem with the routing table or the network adapter driver.

  3. ping the IP address of the default gateway to verify that the default gateway is functioning and that you can communicate with a local host on the local network. To do this, type the following command:

  default gateway ping IP address

  If the ping fails, you have a problem with the network adapter, the router device or gateway, cabling, or other connectivity equipment.

  4. ping the IP address of a remote host to verify that you can communicate through a router. To do this, type the following command:

  the IP address of the host remote ping

  If the ping command fails, the remote host may not be responding, or there may be a problem with the hardware of network between computers. To exclude a host remote does not respond, use Ping again to a different remote host.

  got it all except for the ping by host name.  Help...

  I had this same problem and finally resolved.  In my router config page, I noticed that there is an entry "local domain name.  That has been fixed to "Belkin" and the help text says that having a value is optional, but there is no reason to change this value, so I've always left alone.

  I noticed that when I put in the host name, it adds ".» Belkin"for the name and then say he could not find the host.  So I made this entry blank.  Reboot the router.  Immediately, my hostname looks worked.

  As suspects, it also allowed me to access other computers in my workgroup.  They appeared, but when I would try to use them, I received the error "network location is not found."  Once I removed the Domain Local name, everything worked fine.

  I installed OBIEE 11 g 9 on Win 2012 R2 (on VM). It works fine no - SSL. I've now set up to use SSL, as described in the Oracle Doc. I can connect to the Console and EM using the https protocol. However, when I try to connect to Analytics I get Error 500 - Internal Server Error, for http and https. When I run the runSSLReport I see that ping SSL failed for presentation of BI Service.

  OK SSL on 4 of the 5 elements.

  Had this resolved, there are two files under ...\Oracle_BI1\jdk\jre\lib\security - local_policy.jar and US_export_policy.jar. Here's jurisdiction policy files Extension JCE (Java Cryptography) unlimited strength. In case if they are older files, although OBIEE 11.1.1.9 is new, installed in the folder above policy files are older, mine was 2011. Check and replace the most recent files. These files must be of the same version as your version of the JDK. I copied my main Java/jdk1.7/Jre/lib/security file. New files are 09/2015. Restart all servers. In case if use JSSE SSL is not enabled please do. It worked for me.

  HW/SW platform: Win 7 under a machine Virtualbox 3.2.10 with Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.5 x86_64 2 prompt guests to support the DB instance in a RAC configuration two.
  
  Here's the question:
  
  During the installation of 11 GR 2 grid Infrastructure of zip file downloaded on a Virtualbox (Linux) guest host, the process stops with the error ' Invalid input size (expected 729772, but has 729794 bytes).» After several attempts of difficulty (see below), I get the same error that only he throws different byts sizes if it seems to fail at different points in the process of randomly. So far that all take great - HW/SW/network all the pre-reqs without error (took a piece of work to get there!).
  
  I scoured Metalink, Google docs. Google shows a large number of cases where this sort of thing happened with different configs but no coherent solution is presented, nor caused already discussed. Based on my results, I tried several things but am now at a total loss for what to do. Here's what I spent the last two days, in order to work around the problem:
  
  -a confirmed the value cksum and bytes are correct before decompression.
  -installed and used a different download manager and pulled down a new copy of the file zip both my PC and directly on the Linux (PCS used in binary mode when copying the files in Win7 for Linux).
  -downloaded a third party utility zip to try.
  -reran the installation of many times (cleaned of all directories before each series)
  -created a symbolic link to point to the utility unzip in/usr/bin rather than Oracle provides with the software in case that was the problem.
  
  Anyone can shed light on this issue? This could be the cause of this rpoblem? Maybe someone has had experience of this type of fixing problem and can share what's the root casue.

  I really need to make this work and suspect that maybe it's a bug, but I think that anyone he said now. Any help is greatly appreciated.   Unfortunately, I have the same problems with "Invalid size entered" during the installation of Oracle GI V11.2.0.2 (downloaded from Oracle Support!) and Oracle GI V11.2.0.1 (download delivery).
  MD5 and sha1 after copy with scp in the guest OS aro OK license!
  I use Virtualbox 3.2.12 and my host platform is windows 7 (64-bit) with 2 guest with Oracle Linux 5.5 systems.

  I don't think there is much you can do about it outside the use of workaround to reload the page until this problem is corrected.

  There is this bug on this problem:

  I don't know if other extensions download suffer from this issue, as well, so you can try a little more try the website of the add-on and if possible use a different format like WebM, if they are available.

  Also note that not all videos are downloaded and registered correctly. Some may have a size of 0 bytes and fail to download, so, best is to check in downloads of the toolbar Manager in the drop-down list to make sure that the file size is correct (i.e. neither 0 bytes, but a more likely size).

  YouTube streaming makes changes to the code and the way its web pages work, so extensions can fail at any time.
