  Have you tried a battery pull - remove your battery for about 30 seconds, and then reapply for your phone to reboot?

  This document has got to be updated. Port 8080 is the port that I am connected. I opened the administration remotely on my router, which was on port 8080. I then tried to connect via my "BOLD". Note that WiFi was off. It connected properly.

  Note that I was not using https. Your using https? Maybe is the combination limited?

  I used 4.6.0.266 (451), in which case there might be a difference.

  What should I do?

  You have the two desktop software and link configurΘ for dΘmarrer when a device is connected to your Mac. You must go into the Desktop software settings (I don't remember exactly what to do, but there should be some settings at the top right) and set it to not open when a device is connected. Once you have it set to not open when your phone is connected, make sure that the link is set to open. That should solve your problem.

  My Q10 is recognize my contact when I am called, but does not recognize the sender of the text message when I get one.

  I'm from Romania. The prefix for my country + 40 TR.

  Our mobile numbers starting with 07XX.XXX.XXX

  When you call from another country you put only + 40 then the number of laptop without the 0 (+ 407XX.XXX.XXX)

  In our country are 4 mobile operators (Vodafone, Orange, Cosmote and Digi).

  There is a situation when if you are called to another network, the number makes an appearance with the prefix of the country as + 407XX.XXX.XXX and my Q10 recognizes not the same if the appellant, it is in my contact list.

  Today, I noticed another BIG PROBLEM.

  So, I have in my contacts... John Smith with 0722.123.456.

  When I am called by him, it apears John Smith, but when I recive text message from him, it apears + 40722.123.456.

  My stupid Q10 does not recognize the contact!

  If I change the number on my agenda and I put + 40722.123.456 to John Smith, he acknowledged the sender of text, but it does not recognize the appellant (when I get a call from John Smith), it apears 0722.123.456.

  I used a lot of o phones: Nokia (many models), Iphone, Siemens, Samsung, etc, since 1996.

  I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM UNTIL TODAY!

  EVEN WITH THE OLD MODELS AND STUPID OF NOKIA!

  I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THE NEWEST SMARTPHONE ON THE MARKET HAS THIS BUG!

  I HOPE THAT SOMEONE WILL ANSWER ME SOON AND GIVE ME A SOLUTION!

  P.S. the next week, I'll go on a hollyday in another country. What happens when I receive the call of my country and all my calls will be with prefix + 40?

  The work-around, I have read other users is to include the number of the contact in two formats...

  Thus, John Smith would have one number registered with 40 +, and other registered without the + 40.

  BlackBerry is aware of the issue and I hope to work on it.

  Work Machine - Windows XP question: I installed, removed, close and re-installed the latest version of the Software Desktop 6.0.2 B45, but failed to get the Office to recognize my Playbook.  As the system does not recognize the computer as a mass storage device either

  Home Machine Windows XP problem: I did as above and now not only the softare does not recognize the Playbook but it charges 6.0.2 B45 whenever it is connected.  The computer recognizes the Playbook as a mass Storage device, but 570 MB 100% full (it is a machine of 64 G)

  Ideas for one or both?

  Previous version of the software had the same problem and can be reproduced like this:

  (1) to any application other than the camera, drag down twice from the top and turn on the flashlight.
  2) press the squarre and switch to the camera application, which says now: "camera not available."
  3) slide down twice, turn off the flashlight and switch camera to the photo app, now there is no message, but the camera still does not work.

  (4) use the table to any other application, then the table to return to the camera application, which now works fine now that the lamp is off.

  If you attempt to try the above, when you are in the camera app, once you drag down twice, there is no icon to turn the flashlight.

  Hmm, that's an interesting and scary use case, please provide

  Yesterday for a strange reason my app fmylife, even my aim and msn messenger does not connect to the internet. The blackberry browser connects either, only opera mini-tout this time I am connected to my wifi at home and I UMA. Calls and texting works fine. I tried several times to switch off the connection and then turn it back on, I restarted the phone, I took out the battery but nada.

  Any suggestion or help is greatly appreciated!

  Hi, so I used all charges to my battery, loaded up and subsequently turned back on - all of a sudden the device does not recognize my sim card.

  The message that appears indicates that I inserted a new sim card - but I did not - and asks to connect you using my Blackberry ID username and password. I've done this, but my password was not recognized so I reset it online - it is said that the password was changed successfully, however, it still is not recognized when I go into my device.

  No, they are on the memory of the device. You should be able to connect the device to your PC and use BlackBerry Desktop Software to make a backup.

• Email provider does not recognize the email address after entering different credentials

  Entered my username and password on e-mail account of her husband.

  I entered my username and password on e-mail account of her husband and now our email provider (Bell South) does not recognize his e-mail address to receive messages.  It's as if I have more mounted his account with mine.

  Try to remove his e-mail account, and then close WinMail and then compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/).  Then add the account back with the right credentials and then see if that solves the problem.

  He previously glitched by lighting, but it still does not turn. It is fully charged, I'd charge all night and in the morning, it worked fine. I was disabling some time during the day and he started very well. Went to put market later and nothing happened. Nothing turned on or anything. I took out the battery and put it again and nothing. I tried to recharge for hours and still nothing. I got it for about 5 months and the battery seems fine. I'm so frustrated and could help. I am a new user of Blackberry.

  What happens if you remove the battery, it is connected to the charger and then reinsert the battery?  You did some good troubleshooting, you can take it to the store?  Hard to say if it is the battery or something else.

  Regarding your question, there is already a Knowledge Base article that is associated with this error:

  KB34245 : A checkbox, and then a red x appears when a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 or BlackBerry 6 to 7 sends a message to a smartphone BlackBerry 10 via BlackBerry Messenger 7.0.1.23

   

  In my opinion # Workaround seems to be a little hard.  So I prefer you should first try to reinstall the BlackBerry Messenger application and see if it helps with your current problem.

  To make your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list.

  KB10040 : How to view or delete the application installed on a blackberry smartphone

   

  Deleted once perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your device is turned on, wait a min. and then reinsert this return.

  Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the most recent version available. After installation, restart your device once more, connecting with your BlackBerry ID and check if you are able to send BBM to one of these devices.
