• Configuration optimal HDD and software settings

  I do a reload of the system installation, one of my systems to be

  dedicated to editing video and effects. My equipment is:

  • MB: P6t Deluxe V2
  • Operating system: Win7 64 bit
  • CPU: I7 920 (Stock # no OC)
  • GPU: Nvidia 285
  • RAM 12 GB @1600
  • HARD DRIVE 1: 500 GB 7200 RPM
  • HARD DRIVE 1: 500 GB 7200 RPM
  • HARD DRIVE 1: 1 TB 7200 RPM
  • HARD DRIVE 1: 1 TB 7200 RPM
  • HARD drive 1: 1. 5 TB external USB for backups only

  Software I have user first Pro CS5, After Effects CS5, SoundBooth CS5 and Photoshop CS5. My question for the software is how to better set up. I've seen many configurations of caching / Scratch and various allowances of CPU Ram and honestly I'm a bit confused by the latter. Also make it Performance vs that memory seems to make no difference visit once. It is better to select on the other? I use dynamic linking a lot so I don't know if that makes a difference in what either.

  I know that all these information is found in various discussions in the forum, but I get conflicting info I read through them.

  One last question. Do a restart before exporting? I could spend hours doing effects and cuts, and I fear that the RAM is a little full, so I reboot before I did because it gives me a warm fuzzy, but is it really necessary?

  Have a look here: Forums Adobe: generic guideline for the installation disc and look at the installer of three discs.

  How is it that would translate to your situation:

  a. get a disk of OS boot & small enough programs, such as the Samsung Spinpoint F4 320 GB. It is then the C: drive in the overview.

  b. use the two raid0 1,000 discs. It would be the D: drive in the preview.

  3. use the two 500 discs in raid0. It would be the drive E: in the preview.

  No need to reboot before the export. Prior to export is wise however to save the project.

  It is possible. But if you stay on BES, you cannot remove the it policy... you have to work with your BES admins to solve the problem.

  Beware you warnings... it's completely destructive to everything you have on your device now, then you must know how to recover from that after the withdrawal of the policy. If you choose to use the backup/restore as your method of recovery, so make sure you do selective and not wholesale... If you restore databases who say company policy or something similar, then you just put it on your device policy, and be right back where you started.

  What should I do?

  You have the two desktop software and link configurΘ for dΘmarrer when a device is connected to your Mac. You must go into the Desktop software settings (I don't remember exactly what to do, but there should be some settings at the top right) and set it to not open when a device is connected. Once you have it set to not open when your phone is connected, make sure that the link is set to open. That should solve your problem.

  My Lifecam 5001 gives a nice picture, but, unfortunately, the autofocus on my Lifecam 5001 is useless which everyone says is a common problem, so I opted for the manual in the Lifecam software settings. The problem is that the default software for automatic whenever the software is restarted, even though I unchecked the box auto focus. I updated to the latest versions of the firmware and the software, unfortunately still the same problem. Is it possible to make the permanent manual focus? Registry setting or such? Thank you..   Method 1: Clear database of Windows Media Player cache files.

  Couble days back, a Finnish engineer of VMware introduced us the basics of VMware View. He was saying how easy is is to run multiple operating systems practically, how the servers will work and so on...

  During his powerpoint presentation I noticed that there is a photo of the ipod that had top ubuntu desktop and I remembered that apple had disclosed (I can be wrong about that) 3.0 SDK to make apps for your Iphone.

  So the question is: would it be possible to create applications for your Iphone (or any mobile phone) that allows you to have access to view and edit your VMware software settings or see your server information / status?

  It is a theoretical question just to see what people think of this idea (English is not my main language so there may be a few misspellings).

  As an RDP CLient for the iPhone, you are able to connect to your server from VC and managing environmental VMWare yout from there.

  You have the iPad connected to power and a wi - fi connection? The servers are always rather flooded, which could make a difference.

• Firefox keeps crashing after update this morning

  Turned my work computer on and firefox had an update for today. Updated and since then it will not start. It will only crash upon restart it hangs again and send a report. Tried to go to safe mode, but it keeps crashing.

  Why do you have to be sure that the internal MIC does not work?
  How did you test this?

  The internal mic belongs to the internal webcam.
  You can increase the volume of the mic in the webcam software settings.
  Start-> settings-> audio tab webcam software

  There, you must increase the volume of the microphone to the maximum.
  The Audio Device option should contain something like Microphone (Conexant High definition). Audio compressor-> no compression

  Usually the performance of the processor could be amended (clocked down) using Windows power management.
  -> Panel-> Power Options change the parameters of plan-> change power avancΘs-> the CPU power management.

  Here, you can set the maximum performance using batteries or sector.

  Also in the BIOS settings you can affect the performance of the processor dynamic, always high or low
  But it's what you could do

• I have problems with Web sites that require cookies. In PRIVATE life, I checked ACCEPT COOKIES and third PARTY COOKIES. However, I still have problems. I used your "cookies enable and disable" but it still does not work. Thank you.

  For example, I went to the site of Netflix (which I am registered on) and immediately I get a screen that asks me to enable cookies and gives me links to instructions on how to enable cookies for different operating systems.

  Always good to start with a fresh reboot with Windows XP, if a question just happens.

  Check your security software settings, you can block at this level, firewalls and modules FF.

  (1) FF settings: tools, Options, Privacy tab change, keep until: ask me every time, click OK at the bottom of the box. Then try to go to NetFlix, if you're not invited on the cookies, they don't get FF, get back to your other software security settings and modules of the FF.

• Wireless connection lost after only five minutes

  New on site, but you have a very annoying problem, here go us
  I just got a 2nd hand laptop Toshiba Satellite S1800-402 and has decided to add this to my setup wireless at home (big mistake), anyway I have a router wireless 802. 11 b of mentor and my main pc connected to the router and another pc which has a mentor 802 wireless pci card. 11B. Pcmcia card from the laptop is a mentor 802.11 g card is compatiable back, so I was told by bloke in-store pc.

  Just the problem I have is the pc successfully connect to internet the laptop will be fine OK, but 99% of the time I would say 5 minutes max before losing the connection and only way to get the rear connection is either reboot the laptop, or remove the pcmcia card and hope that it detects the wireless again. the wireless network is not secure on it and checked on the router page and there is no filtering or configure... I have Digital wireless home phones that I unplugged and get always the same problem.

  Would be - what this model has received a wireless card already and there is a conflict.

  It becomes a default really annoying that I head in fact.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated no matter what other requried info I will try to help

  As much as I know this model doesn't have a WiFi card and this kind of conflict is not possible. In my opinion connection breaks are caused by software settings or false. If you make a permanent download happens the same thing?

  Try to check the power consumption of your network card WIRELESS and also Idle timeout option in the router.
