First thing to do is to check its Vista compatibility at the link above, and if not to see what patches/solutions are available from its manufacturer...

The drivers are written by Sony for their products, not from Microsoft.

Contact Sony with their product.

  • Cannot connect digital video camera

    Hello

I tried in vain for hours connect a digital video camera to my Vista computer. I tried the camera on other computers and cannot connect to them either. It's a Sony Handycam and I used 4 Pin/4 Pin firewire cable 4 pin/6 pin. I also tried a USB cable. I'm running the camera in the game while restarting the computer, I tried to turn the camera on or off when you are connected to the count. I checked the settings of the camera and they all look great. I don't think that the problem is with the camera because I downloaded the video in addition to him in the past, but only once. Is there a chance that a Vista update caused vista to no longer recognize my camera?

    Thank you

    Russ

    Hi GraceRuss,

It is unlikely that an update is the problem with the camera because the camera does not work on any machine. Looks like that there is a problem with the camera or a problem in the connection. You must consult the instruction manual provided with your product first and then consult with the support of sony. Thank you, Jeremy M - Support Engineer

  • Sony dcr-hc35e Windows 7 by usb connection

Is it possible to connect a sony dcr-hc35e to a computer running windows 7 via USB?

I could do it on my old XP computer but when I plug it into my new Windows 7 computer, it does not recognize the camera.

Please help, I have several hours of footage of my little girl to download.

You will need to check with Sony to see if they have Windows 7 drivers for your camera because Windows 7 does not automatically detect it.

  • Move video video cam on the DRIVE - best method

I want to move/copy on 15 Hi8 fron of Hi8 (Sony HandyCam DCR TRV-320) video tapes to a digital format for example AVI or what would work well. My Sony camera still works, I have several fast computers with firewire connections. I want to record video and audio with one of the following configurations; (The reason for which the following software is listed is I currently admit.) Thanks for everything - all help

    Suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

    (1)-> 1394 VideoCam-> Pinnicle Studio DV 1.26 v or?

    (2)-> 1394 VideoCam-> NERO MediaHome or?

    (3)->-> DIVX 1394 VideoCam?

    Suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

Hi8 is analog, so you need some kind of analogous to the conversion device digital Hi8 camcorder with firewire to the computer entry.

You can play the Hi8 tapes in camcorder digital8 connected FireWire, which uses the camcorder digital8 to convert... or connect the camcorder Hi8 to a digital camcorder that has analog inputs and a function "pass-through" to perform the conversion on the fly.
Bottom line... you need a black box of a certain type to get from analog to digital.
  • How can I download for my sony dcr-dvd403 pmb to windows vista 36 bit

looking for software for downaloda pmb for windows vista for sony dcr dvd403 handycam

looking for software for downaloda pmb for windows vista for sony dcr dvd403 handycam

You have Windows Vista 32-bit and a Sony DCR-DVD403 with LCD 2.7 "...

According to the Windows Vista for Sony DCR-DVD403 Compatibility Center the device itself is compatible without any intervention on your part.  Support for any third party hardware or software is always from the hardware manufacturer or software.  It is their place to ensure that their hardware and software are compatible with the operating systems their customers use (or not to do - put an end to their support for said product and basically stating that produced a legacy package/device).

Visit Sony support web page and put in your camera model after you have selected the option for downloads, it takes a place where you can select various downloads.  Simply choose 'Windows Vista' in the menu drop-down "Select an Operating System.  Then it expans show several possible downloads to support this device in Windows Vista, including updates of Picture Motion Browser and Picture Package Sony feeding with their products.  Here are a few updates - so you will need to have a version already installed.

Notes for the Motion Picture Browser declares, "this utility updates PMB versions 1.1 to 5.8.01 and Cyber-shot Viewer version 1.0, PMB version 5.8.02..."- so I think it is reasonable to assume that, as long as you have an installed version (from the CD that came with your camera), you can use this update to bring it up to State fully patched.  Sony offers a link if you need to buy replacement CD for those that you should have received with your product.  Wow - 30 USD - they are proud of their software.  You may have more luck that many others in the research that a download legitimate to PMB is that you do not have your original CD...

  • Video camera Sony DCR-SR68

I bought a Sony DCR - SR 68 camcorder opportunity, taking nice videos. The problems started when I tried to connect the camera to my computer to download videos; the computer does not recognize the camera. I bought a new power cord patch directly to parts of Sony, but it made no difference. My question is this; It had to be a software CD provided with the camera when it was purchased new one would download on your computer so that the computer will 'see' the recorded video when you plugged into the computer? Any info anyone could send me would be GREATLY appreciated! Don

So, I tried all the suggestions that have been given and; did not work. Unable to download Sony's suggested reading memories because my computer is Windows XP and download requires Vista 7 or more recent system. Have you tried the camera to the computer of a friend who is much more recent than mine but he has the last iteneration of Windows XP for the operating system, and it opened fine on his office, then that may of little help... • Unable to capture video from digital camera Sony DCR-HC26

I replaced a PC under Windows XP with a new PC running Windows 7 Home Premium and I was not able to connect my Sony Handycam DCR-HC26 digital tape camera to the new PC.  I use an I-link (firewire) cable.  The camera seems to be recognized by the PC as a Sony DCR-HC26E, but trying to capture the video, the following message appears: "failed to find the camcorder (band). Check the i.LINK to the Handycam. "I suspect a problem driver type is the cause but I'm running out of ideas on how to solve this problem.  Any ideas?

    Curry,

    I don't understand your suggestion.

    1. When you say "entry for firewire (IEEE1394)", do you mean "entry for controllers Host Bus IEEE 1394"?
    2. When you say "pilot LEGACY", what is it and where can I get a "LEGACY driver"?  (I clicked on properties for the Texas Instrument 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller and did not find anything on "LEGACY").

    Bruce

Hey, maybe I can answer this question.
1 double-click on controllers Host Bus IEEE 1394 you will find the appeal of device 'compatible OHCI 1394 host controller ".
    2. highlight the 'compatible OHCI 1394 host controller' right click on "update driver software".
    3. Select 'Browse my computer for driver software ".
    4. at the bottom of the window, select "Let Me pick from a list of device driver on my computer.
    5. you can select "1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller (legacy)" as the driver and then click "Next".

  • I can't get CS6 to recognize my Sony DCR-TRV340 camera to capture video from this camera.  CS6 C

I can't get CS6 to recognize my Sony DCR-TRV340 camera to capture video from this camera.  The CS6 capture Tin can, set up a message that a capture device is offline.  Camera Sony DCR-TRV340 is not listed in the CS6 device Type list in the CS6-DV/HDV cameras Sony device control settings box.  I downloaded what I believe are the right drivers for the TRV340 and when I connect the camera to the computer, the computer shows it is in the box devices and printers, but CS6 do not recognize.  Do I need to install these drivers in a specific CS6 program folder?  If Yes, where can I find these drivers in the Professional operating system of windows 7, and in which folder CS6 would copy their?

    Thanks John,

The controller IEEE 1394 of switching for the Legacy driver did the trick.  CS6 now recognizes my camera.  Thank YOU MUCH for the help!

  • Problem with SONY DCR-DVD650. Unable to get the finished videos transferred to my computer.

    Hello world

I have a Sony DCR-DVD650... I also use the mini DVD - RW for recording.

When I put the DVD in my computer, or you are trying to access via a USB cable connected to the camera, however there is no videos. I can clearly see the videos in the preview of my camera...
    I've also developed videos...
Solution Explorer displays a single folder which is DVD_RTAV which includes 3 other files 'VR_MANGR. BUP', 'VR_MANGR. IFO' and 'VR_MOVIE. VRO.

What I am doing wrong? And how to get these videos on my computer to be able to
Change them. Help, please! Would really appreciate it, thanks

The basis of the record that you have seen inside the disc, you saved your footage in [VR mode]. The DVD_RTAV folder that you found inside the disc is indeed the folder that contains your images, and you can go ahead and copy the contents of this folder. The more you can do with these files is to find a software that will be able to read. It is not possible to change them on a computer.

To ensure that you will not work in this problem next time, please save your videos in the standard [MOVIE mode] instead of [VR mode]. Once you have done so, you will find your images in a folder named [VIDEO_TS], and you will be able to copy and modify these files.
