  Go to the Toshiba power management option and click on the "Advanced" tab make sure that the enable hibernation support option is checked. Alternatively, if you use Microsoft power options, then click the Hibernate tab, and check that put into hibernation is enabled.

  I bought my computer without OS, I installed XP and drivers (but I could not find info on the order appropriate to the installation of drivers - y at - it all?)
  Everything works without hibernation.

  Standby power dosnt see this function
  Turning off the energy saver and turn on this option under XP (it's in the window with the screen savers - I don't know proper name) causes an error and the information that another process is using Hibernate

  Toshiba Satellite L300 - 11G
  Brief model number: PSLBCE-00F00EPL
  (Made 2008-05-24)

  OS: Windows XP, home edition, Polish version

  Problem:
  (1) hibernation is not present as an option
  energy saving
  (2) hibernation may not be enabled in Windows XP Power Management - communicate the resulting error says that "another process is using this function.

  Is hibernation in someone Thoshiba L300 11 G with windows XP?

  I downloaded all the necessary drivers, but I don't know if I installed them in the proper order.

  There is a problem with my webcam bringing not working more, whenever I try to start the application of Toshiba webcam it says it fails to launch, and asks me to restart, but it is without a job.

  This means that the webcam is recognized, but the software is missing.
  I put t know exactly why the software of the webcam is not working properly, but I think that the system registry is confused until eventually some registry keys are defective
  For this I recommend to use the CCLeaner. He the freeware tool that cleans up the registry.

  Uninstall the webcam of the system software/driver.
  Install the CCLeaner.
  Reboot the laptop.
  Use CCleaner to clean the system and the registry.
  Reboot once more and then install the software/driver webcam
  Then reboot once again.
  Use CCleaner to fix the registry.

  I recently got my new laptop Qosmio F50. I decided to burn the recovery disk and so I did. But during the burning process, I got an error that is:

  Well, I've been through the posts from diferent on this forum and I didn't know of any help on this matter. Of course, I bought new DVD-R TDK and I also tried with verbatim DVD-R but it does not work.

  Anyone have any idea how to deal with this issue, because for example I have still no recovery disc and if something would have happened, I wouldn't be able to configure back my OS.

  To me it sounds like the final burning self-check failed and the application couldn't t properly compare two files on the HARD drive and DVD.

  Why? It's not easy to say maybe the problem is with the DVD disc not fully supported, but I saw that you used the TDK DVD-R it are really good media and should run.

  I wanted to spend my Qosmio X 300 - 14 p of Ram of 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) up to 8 GB (2 x 4 GB).

  I ordered a fitting 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) the value of Atelco, where this set of 8 GB costs 155,-Euro
  (while in the shops in thoshiba 4 GB is more than 300, - means 8 GB more than 600,-, ridiculous). :

  I ordered this one:
  8 GB - Kit Corsair ValueSelect SO-DIMM PC3 - 8500S CL7

  This was exactly the necessary RAM, 2 x 2 GB, still are the same.

  PROBLEM:
  the x 300 wouldn't start when 8 GB of ram are connected
  (same tzhen does not start, screen stays black and nothing happens (you don't hear departure of fans and hard drives etc.)).

  the merchant first thought, the qosmio is reserved to the maximum of 4 GB completely, but I was able to convince him that this is not true.
  then he assumed "branding" (only some modules work).

  but it was also not true, because the two modules to 4 GB worked when connected only.
  the two modules worked in places, housing upper and lower.

  even weirder: I could plugin 1 x 4 GB and 1 x 2 GB and it would start perfectly and appear 6 GB (6144 MB).

  I checked the specification for the Qosmio x 300 - 14 p and you can confirm that you can improve up to 8 GB. Toshiba recommends using 4 GB modules compatible with the PA3377U-1M4G part number. This module has been tested and it will work. You can also buy the Kingston high quality module. It also works.

  To be honest, I never heard of Corsair. I only use Kingston.

• Microphone does not work on my Qosmio G20

  I have a Qosmio G20. The internal MIC or an external, when it is plugged into the microphone jack, works. I have the Bios 1.3 and the latest MS updates and Drivers Soundmax. I was throughout the desks of input selection and I am now at a loss, why not working. Output of the sound is very well through great speakers and the headphone jack. Anyone got any ideas? I suspect a software problem.

  I guess you have Vista? If you are really sure that you have installed all the drivers correctly? Sometimes, we monitor some details then, perhaps you should repeat the installation of the driver.

  Maybe just a microsoft s problem, it would be a good idea to search the microsoft knowledge base for some updates/patches/bug fixes.

  The last resort would be to reinstall the OS again and then, as a first step, just the audio drivers. If the error persists then, then you should think a hardware problem.

  I've had my laptop for 2 years now and never had any problems before but recently some of the keys on my laptop keyboard do not work as the fn key, i, e, r, t, y, u, i, o, = etc. Currently I use an external keyboard to overcome this problem. I did a complete reinstall but problem still persits.
  Can you please perhaps where the problem is. It's very confusing that some keys work well, but some are not.

  In my opinion the problem is faulty keyboard. As you can see full OS reinstallation didn't change anything. It must be junk hardware.
