• Parameters specified by step do not match the settings of the sequence

  I just upgraded from Teststand 4.1.1 to 4.2 and have encountered this

  problem during the review of the existing sequence files.

  When I open a file of sequence, select any stage of type sequence call, which calls another sous-séquence

  in a different sequence file, I learned that the parameters used do not correspond to those required.

  To be more precise, in the settings area of the stage, a red exclamation symbol appears at the side of the

  subsequence called step, and the ToolTip is displayed when the mouse pointer is

  The ToolTip goes on to explain how to solve this problem by clicking on the exclamation symbol.

  I find also that by deselecting the "Prototype using sequence" tab in step Settings\Module

  solves the problem.

  When the sequence is executed, no problems occur with execution, the test performs correctly.

  Is it possible to clear this error for each sequence call not in one operation?

  My apologies to attach a file of sequence buggy. I forgot to pass a parameter to the LoadPrototype method to preserve existing settings. I have attached a corrected version of the sequence file. I changed to update SequenceCall not only because of potential problems, reloading the DLL prototypes.

  I would try to explain why you see cela TestStand 4.2. The additional results feature, we added to TestStand 4.1 needs to know what parameters are entered, output and input/output (i.e. what settings is pass by reference). Before TestStand 4.1, step of calling sequence does not store this information but rather dynamically got it and it appears in the column how go. Now that we store the past by reference with the step option, you can have an inconsistency between the option stored in step and the current setting of the sequence called. This inconsistency affects only additional results and not execution. TestStand 4.1, the sequence editor to not warn you on these inconsistencies. We have added the TestStand 4.2 warning so that you will have the correct information for additional results.

  When TestStand 4.1 or 4.2 load a file of sequence from a pre-version 4.1 version, TestStand sets cervical optionally reference true for all parameters in the call sequence steps. This is why you see the warning for any sequence calling step created TestStand 3.5 If no parameters are not passing by reference. You can also see the problem if you change the option collar called a reference parameter in the sequence.

  Although I do not understand the above said, the root cause of fixing is a little something else.

  I'll explain the scenario.  The code is developed in TS4.1.0, although this should be irrelevant.

  I inherited a project of TestStand that call LabVIEW modules.  The original sequence works very well on the test pc (which is installed remotely).  Local and remote computer share the same StationGlobals.ini.

  This is why it is strange...  If I use the old or the new code, I get the error message on the local PC.  I was assuming that by using the same StationGlobals.ini would have fixed that, but it didn't.

  When I run the old code on the remote PC, I do not get this message, but I understand with the new code.  I don't remember changing the code that hit the StationGlobals.  My aim is to fix on both machines (at least one remote).

  It is the expression he doesn't like:

  However, this same expression is in the original code.  The only thing that has changed is the addition of a new model number in the Locals.Models.newNumber.  I suspect that this contributes to the error.  But why it give me an error when I run the local original sequence?  Maybe I should try running it again...

  I found the problem...  There was a disconnect with the number of models.  Easy fix.  It's all good.

  For anyone else that might fall on this thread for the same reason, here is an explanation.

  I added a new model with its variants to the Locals.Models list.  In total, he had 16 additions to the list.

  I also added to the StationGlobals.  Which means that my StationGlobals is no longer equal that on the remote PC.

  Where the error came, is there a model missing in the StationGlobals, so the size (number of models) does not match that of the local population.

  Surveillance at sea listed models a slight (I won't even count them).  Now fixed.

  ... and embarrassed...

  

  I can thus give me an "acceptable Solution".

• Debug the device - missing .debug files - debugger does not slaughter

  I'm trying to debug on my bold 9700.

  If I attach the debugger to the jde to my device through debugging--> join to---> Pocket I can see debug messages in the output window of the jde. But the debugger does not stop at breakpoints also I get error messages while the debugger is endearing to the device. Missing files 'net.rim.cldc' etc.

  Searching the Internet has proved I have the specify a location where the debugger can find the ".debug" missing files.

  I hope someone can tell me where to download these files f *. I'm tired of searching...

• CF10 debugging IP addresses does not. Known problems?

  I just installed CF10 on my company's Intranet and the debug output is displayed on the server (127.0.0.1).  I went to

  Debugging & Logging > debugging IP addresses

  and added my client PC IP but I don't get the robust errors.  I tried all types of IP addresses, does not.  I also deleted all IP addresses (which are supposed to give robust errors for all IP addresses) but who doesn't either.

  Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

  AHA, if users receive the standard IIS error.  I might have the solution for you.  There is another parameter in the CF administrator to have CF return http status codes to find errors.  It is under the server settings > settings section.  It's called "enable HTTP status codes".  You have this option turned on?  What happens when you turn it off (now do you see the CF error)?

  This may have other side effects, unwanted for you.  Not sure, but something to think about.  As I said before, I believe that it is always better to intercept and handle all errors with your code rather than relying on this level of error catching.

• Update Windows, stuck at step 3 of 3, does not start

  Reading the forums, so it seems I'm not the only one who had this problem, but none of the data seems to work for me.

  My computer is running slow this morning (as sometimes when he treats a large update), so I restarted.  But now, whenever the system tries to start, it gets insofar as the message 'configuration updated step 3 of 3, 0% ' before it restarts in total.

  I am running Windows Vista Home Premium - I think that it is 32-bit, but I'm not positive.  I have a laptop HP Pavilion DV6345us.

  I tried all suggested fixes, I found.  I tried to launch the Mode without failure (all versions of it), but every time it's the same thing.  I've never had to simplified office, I think I'm supposed to see.  I tried the system restore, but none of the dozen or so restoration work points.  After each attempt to restore the system, I get this error message: data error (Cyclic Redundancy Check) (0 x 80070017).

  My last update was added on 06/05/10 at 09:16:38.  My last update before that was 05/03/10 at 14:31:18.  My time zone is set to GMT - 8:00 (or Pacific time).  Between the Windows updates, I downloaded an update for Java (Java 6 update 20) 04/05/10.

  I have also run the memory diagnostic tool, but that has not changed anything.

  I do not have any third-party malware or anti-virus software.

  This is all the relevant information, I think I can give.  Any comments would be greatly appreciated, because I use my computer for work and need again as soon as POSSIBLE.

  Personal data backup (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD disk and do a clean install of Windows.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) will NOT fix it!

• I restored my files Carbonite - or thought I did - but they can't are not there - I thought I found the right file - please help! The steps did not work!

  I thought I found the right file to restore my files of Thunderbird for... or so I thought... This is the file with 8 random characters...
  Anyway, the tech of Carbonite had restored the files in a folder on my desktop. I copied the file and paste this file to Thunderbird.
  As the files are being restored, the system I warned that thousands of files were the same... I said to replace.
  I deleted my profile e-mail and closed before Thunderbird I did all that. Then I returned to my email account. But the restored files aren't there. Only my Inbox since the transfer. No old emails, no record, no contacts...
  I don't understand what I am doing wrong?

  Just wonder if you copied it into your profile as a subfolder or if it replaced your profile?
  How did you create your backup?
  What is a full copy, a partial copy or a compressed copy (zip)?
  You copied to "C:\Users\Regina\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\9k2py1g1" which, you profile should have ended .default
  I guess it was a typing error in.

  • Rename your old profile fx 'X9k2py1g1. Default X"or move.
  • Copy your "Restore Thunderbird" (I think that it contains a folder with subfolders 9k2p1g1.default) so C:\Users\Regina\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles contains a new 9k2p1g1.default

• Page validation step are not deleted

  I had a stage of page validation defined on the page and then removed by removing the validation in the 'processing of the page"in the Application Builder. However, the validation still seems to run during execution. Can someone tell me if it should be removed from somewhere else as well.

  During development, I have experience at the time that the high-vi simply "blockages". The debug break button does not break in the program - it turns red but nothing happens.

  I looked on the forum I thought that this was discussed previously, but I found this thread:

  If your problem is easily reproducible, you can use the option 'Retain the values of thread' to see what happens and when (the "last updated" timestamp is saved and you can read it with a probe).  In this way, you can quickly follow the data flow and see where your program hangs.

  Otherwise, you can dig into your subVIs and watch the execution of each arrow.  Search in the help file "VI-toolbar buttons" and look at the top of page three icons.  An icon is actually absent from this list, and it's another arrow, slightly different performance, which indicates that the VI is part of a running application, but is not running.  By finding that VI is in fact running vs. just waiting to be called, you can find out where your problem is.

• EM express database does not step 12 c

  I upgraded from 11.2.0.3 to 12.1.0.2 database using dbua.  Everything works as expected except EM Express database https://oradb:5500 / em . It gives "this site is not available.

  a quick read of the documentation, that this parameter specifies which protocols are allowed to register with the listener - your setting allowed only CPI. Express EM would be to use a tcp / or TCPS which would be blocked - so your problem.

  I wonder how that got in implementing first - I have never seen used before :-)

• Extension NI_Flow_For does not insert good end specified in BlockEndStep step

  I need expand the capabilities of my sequences.

  So I buil a new type of step (My_For) that I have combined with the type of NI_Flow_For I then added properties to meet my needs.

  I did the same with the step of NI_Flow_End type (My_End).

  Two step definitions have been created in MyTypes.ini.

  In the definition of type 'My_For', I put the "BlockStartTypes" to the empty string (""); and 'BlockEndType' to 'My_End '.

  In the definition of type 'My_End', I put the 'BlockStartTypes' to 'My_For '; and 'BlockEndType' to the empty string ("").

  Then, when I insert a "My_For" step in a sequence, it creates a "NI_Flow_End" step, but not a step of "My_End!"

  If I delete the step of "My_End" created automatically, and Drag ' n drop a "My_End" below the "My_For" notch, it works!

  So I guess that the problems come from the lower level OnNewStep which is a bad thing, but I don't see what is wrong in the properies I put...

  Any idea?

  The lower level custom OnNewStep is programmed to insert the step of the 'end '.  Must NOT be smart enough to know the specified end block and insert this step.  You must write your own code lower level OnNewStep that inserts end of 'my_end' block stage where you want and configure properly (half of the problem is also that when you insert pairs of steps, you have the steps from beginning and end must be configured specially, not only inserted.

  If you have used the debugger and strengthened through this code and it's actually executing the invokeLater, then the reason is that the code runs this is running on the event Thread and does not give up it.  You code probably some 'wait' rather than relinquish control.  Step through the code that runs after it and see what happens - I think it is this code that causes the problem, not the code that you have demonstrated.

  If you have debugged not this code, then please do.

  That said, there are some things that you might consider encoding differently in the code provided:

  This code probably didn't run on the event Thread.  I consider running before you start the code that must be on the thread of events.

  I could be wrong, but from memory, this code cannot run on the event either Thread.  And it does not block, then you code must run past it very well.

  Be aware that will push a screen that runs across all screens (other than all the other global screens).  This global screen is not really part of your application.

  It seems that Siri is reluctant to make his debut on your iMac after upgrade to Mac OS Sierra. I want to make sure that you get the benefit of this new feature on a Mac.

  1 try safe mode if your Mac does not start -even if your iMac to market, safe mode makes sure it starts successfully.

  2. How to test a question in an another user account on your Mac - since this is most likely a software problem, test to another user will indicate if it is right to your user account or throughout your system.

  3. use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - if it seems to be systemic, the next step should not cause problems. But it is always better "to have" a backup to the "need".

  4. on OS X Recovery - the issue as part of the operating system, reinstall should do.
