  • My laptop with Windows Xp does not connect to the internet, please help me!

Then my laptop, as indicates it works on Windows Xp, but even if I'm supposed to be connected to my home network, when I run Internet Explorer, it can not connect to internet. Any help and insight will help. Please help me!

I'm sorry that had to retype all of this, but in essence, that everything indicates that things work correctly with your Internet connection.

To translate, the first bit tells us that your router assigned your computer 192.168.0.12 IP address.  The own IP address of the router is 192.168.0.1

The result of ping 127.0.0.1 indicates that your computer can communicate with itself (the adapter is OK)

The 192.168.0.12 ping result indicates that your computer can communicate with your router (that we already knew because otherwise your computer don't would not have been assigned an IP address).  It also means that you are connected to your local network.

The result of the ping 192.168.0.1 is similar to the 127.0.0.1 test.

And finally, the ping Google result shows that you are able to access the Internet.

Knowing all this, you probably need to reset TCP/IP or Winsock, or both.

    Manually:

Open a command prompt window and type

    netsh winsock reset {enter}
    netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

  • New laptop unable to connect to the Internet. Help

    Hello world.
I just got a new computer hp laptop but it is impossible to connect to the Internet. Whenever I tried to connect it to my server, it says unable to connect. I tried all the possibilities I could think. I also had a printer wireless and chrome cast which is unable to connect as well, but my cell phone, laptop and portable older is able to connect again. Help, please!

The brand of the router should not make a difference. You know for sure that the router is working properly? Can you connect other devices to it and make it work properly? It may well be that the router is the question. If you hire someone like AT & T router, you may need to call them, there may be a necessary service that only they can fix. Go ahead and give me the model number of the router, will see if I can find something...

Have you gotten to the point where you entered the security keys in your devices? If so, it reduces some of what we would have to do.

Try resetting your devices. Go ahead and turn off your laptop. Then unplug your router for about 30 or more. Use it to back in wait for all lights to turn green. Once your router is ready, start your laptop up. Refreshing devices as is sometimes necessary after making any changes to the network settings.

  • I can only access the Internet through a browser. My programs cannot access the internet. Help..?

I can access the internet without any problem in all browsers, but can program.

For example, when you try to install Windows Live Essentials, I got an error saying I need to be connected to the Internet (but I already was!) - error: OnCatalogResult: 0x8104000b.

And another example, I can't use Windows Live Messenger, apparently for the same reason, no internet...

    Some additional info:

    • I tried with an Ethernet connection and a wireless network
    • I also disabled the firewall Windows, but which didn't help either...

Oh, by the way... I use Windows Vista .

Can someone help me please... ??

    Thanks in advance

  • Have two networks. One is 'working '. The other is the "homegroup". 'work' to the internet. "residential"local group. IE cannot access the internet. Help

    So here's my problem:

It is a routing problem.  In short, it comes down to how to get IE (or any application) to use a specific WiFi adapter with Internet and ignore the adapter WiFi that goes to a network is private with no internet.

This is the situation and what I tried.   No joy.

    PC hardware:

    primePC = Win7-Pro with two WiFi.   WiFi-Internet and WiFi-Local-premium

tabletPC = Win10-Home with a (currently) WiFi-Local-Tablet (not internet from now).

Use the Description of PC hardware

primePC is my laptop that I use for work and all the rest.  It goes where I go.

Tablet PC is in my mobile office and stay in the van (office) when I'm on-site customer.  I use it for

things like control my monitors in the van (office).

    Network:

WiFi-Internet (primePC) is connected Internet router to the Internet.

WiFi-Local (primePC) is connected via the Local router

WiFi-Tablet (Tablet PC) is connected via the Local router

    Objective:

WiFi-Local allows you to share files and use VNC for remote desktop.  (Win10-Home support not native RDP).

Use wireless Internet to connect primePC Apps IE for example to the internet via WiFi-Internet connected to the Internet router.

    A photo is included.

    THE PROBLEM:

Because primePC has WiFi-Internet and WiFi-Local, applications such as IE are getting confused.

How can I say (other applications) to use wireless Internet for internet connection?

    What I tried:

Have you tried ForceBindIP on Win7, but is no longer works.  I'm sure that at some point, it has worked.

Even if I could make it work, I don't really like it.   There *.   I don't want to link to an IP address.  I want to

link to a Mac address is the Mac of the WiFi-Internet address.

    Other Options:

Soft router (ugly) There must be something that can do this.  But I have not found one.  I guess it's a kind of soft router.

    Firewall, routing (still ugly)

I have a firewall (on average by the way).   Creating a routing table in AVG is not good for the following reason.

The entire Setup is mobile.    WiFi Internet is constantly connected to different internet routers, so learning new IP address that I have no control over.

    Future:

Currently, the problem is on the primePC.   But in the end, I have also a problem similar with tabletPC, since the tabletPC is going to have a 3G connection / 4G to the internet.  This connection will go up and down based on (A) if I have internet with WiFi-Internet-router or not.   Using a hub of 3G / 4G for private network will not be good option because (A) the security because it allows access to my tablet, another security van mobile devices (B) cost of using a mobile router WiFi "hot spot" vs just to have two phone lines, both have unlimited data service of attachment (not unlimited hotspot service).

    Hello

According to the description, I understand that you have a routing problem, you try to get IE to use a specific WIFI adapter with the internet, while ignoring the other WIFI adapter that goes to a private network.

It is not possible to connect two computer to the same WIFI cards. You must unmark a WIFI to use the other WIFI adapter.

  • Laptop can connect wirelessly, but not through cable utp to the internet. Help!

I tried to connect my computer laptop windows 7 to the internet using a utp cable. Unfortunately, without success. Works with wireless, but in my dorm, I cannot use internet via cable. I tried to turn off the wireless, but that did not work either the comouter does not recognize that the cable is already connected. Please help me solve this problem.

Thanks for your help in advance! :)

I would check the cable carefully.  Sometimes, some of the wires are loose from the plug.  See if the laptop can connect to cables in other places.  If possible, the problem is with the cable and not on your computer.

    Good luck.

  • Problem to create the Internet connection sharing between Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Original title: Internet connection sharing between Windows XP and Windows Vista.

    Hello

Recently, I plugged a laptop running Windows XP to a desktop computer running Windows Vista using a standard Ethernet cable with the intention of use sharing of Internet connection. The notebook contains a wireless connection that I've routed to the office via the cable said.  While the initial phase of installation went well (I was too lazy to do it manually, so I just used the Wizard "Set up a home or small business network" Windows XP,) I had to turn off the host computer to install a program. When I tried to set up ICS again, I couldn't connect to the Internet by using ICS. After this failure, I tried to configure the properties of TC/IPv4 (IP, gateway by default, etc.) manually, but I still couldn't run.  I am able to access the shared host PC and client files. It seems to me that some service essential to the proper functioning of the ICS may be disabled in some way, but it's just speculation, as I have no evidence of such a service. Help would be most appreciated.

    Thank you

    FG-man

I tried this before using a laptop to share internet with my 360.  problem is there was Nat on the router, and it is in contradiction with the ics.

Anyway long story short I did some research on the Internet and discovered that if you're behind a router ICS will be confllict with her, as ICS also does routing. a much better option is to "bridge the conections ' on the laptop.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/hnw_bridge_install.mspx?mfr=true

If you go this route, you need to set a static ip address for the office,

Either that or if you want to continue using ICS put the laptop in the DMZ in the router may help, but it will be less secure.

Hope that this helped good luck

  • Connectivity limited on win 7. IPv6 and IPV4 are not connected to the internet. Help.

    Limited Internet connectivity.

"limited access" means that your computer does not get an IP address from the router.  This means usually a bad network password is stored in the PC and the router is rejected.

To diagnose the problem, try to connect your computer to another network.  If it works, then you know that it is specific to your network.  If it isn't, which would indicate a problem with installing wireless in your laptop.  Try to remove and install the latest driver wireless.

Try to delete the particular network of list of computer networks.  Then refresh the list to be able to enter the password again.

If this does not work, recycling the modem/router.

If all else fails, you can buy a plug in USB wireless network device for usually under $40, which will offer an additional wireless for you installation.  They can actually be very beneficial because they work often better than the high ones.  Make sure the USB network device you purchase is a N.
